Transport OTR Translations ECC6.0

Hi all
I did create couple for OTR texts(SOTR_EDIT) for my application, which are working fine if the login user language is EN, I translated couple of OTR texts into DE and tested the application which works well in development system. How do I transport these translations to QA system? When creating translations it is not creating any transport requests? I did the translations in SE80. I was looking into transaction SE63 but couldnt do any thing in there. Some one help me in this regard? It is urgent .

But if you make some changes to the application in the Development server and again transport these changes some translations might go missing!
I don´t agree with this, unless there´s some misconfiguration in your system or the basis team has to implement some packages. The BSP development is independent of the OTR-texts. The creation and maintenance of the BSP application cannot influence the apperance or disapperance of OTR-texts. The BSP application is at the end a user of the OTR-texts.
I suggest you Manasa to create an independent transport order with your OTR-Texts (which you have to add one by one, unfortunately). Check first that all texts have been correctly translated.

Hi Experts,
For a standard webdynpro component an enhancement has been done in the view and a new Text View has been added in the layout. Now I want to translate the text which is displayed in the screen in different language. The text is shown as

Hi,
Please find below steps for OTR translation using SOTR_EDIT.
Step 1: Go to Transaction SOTR_EDIT
Step 2: Put the Alias nameand display
Step 3: Go to Edit->Context->Change menu .
Step 4: Do not choose anything in the popup. Just Hit Enter.
Step 5: You will be in change mode. Now select the language (e.g. DE)
Step 6: Blank out the Length field. Enter the text in Text field. The length will come automatically. (Or you can also specify the max value here).
Step 7: Now Press Save button. The text has been saved.
Step 8: Now select other language from dropdown (E.g. EL Greek) and change the Text and blank out the Length field (you can also specify Max length here as per your choice)
And press Save. In similar way, you can just create the OTR for Multilanguageu2019s.
Step 9: At last save and come out. Enter another Alias and repeat the procedure.

Hi,a question about transportation of translation of selection screen?

I am working on an ALV and there is a selection screen for it, and I have translate the texts in the selection screen and can they be transported while the program is transported to another system? if not how can I transport the translations, thank you much.

Please follow the below steps for transalation ..
- Complete your development and release the same .
- Always have the Translations which u can do wtih SE63 tocde and have them within a specific transport request (Recomended Transport of Copies) .
Now u release the TR of translation then everything wil work fine .
Ensure always Translations TR is younger than Development TR withrespect to their creation and Releases ....

Problem with transport of translation using RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER

Hi guys,
We have a translation of a text from dutch to english via SE63 and we used RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER to create its transport order.
However, upon transport, the changes or the translation did not took effect in the test box.
Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Hello Experts,
I am also facing problem while creating the transport for translations done using SE63.
The message i am getting while executing the program RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER is
"No Authorization for Transport Requests Creation -> Display Mode".
How to resolve this, or i need to contact BASIS team for the same?

Go to SE71 initial screen.
Here go to Utilities --> Copy from Client..
now u will get a screen from where u can copy the form form source client to current client...
OR u can do the following
you can use the tcode scc1 in the target cleint so as to copy from the developed cleint. Then you need to give in the request number only and click on start immediately.

How to make to transport this translation in others systems ?
Is it necessary to put the role in a transport request with PFCG or with SLXT ?

How to Transport the Translated Menu Text

Hello All,
For a ALV report I have Copied the PF status standard ALV list and add one push button. I have translated all the text of the menu to german. It was working fine in the Dev System.
I have transported the report to QA system. There its showing the english version even when I logged on in the german Language.
Is I want to run a separate program to transport the translated text.

Transports of Translations

Hi All,
I am facing problem in transporting the Translations which I have done in Japanese Language.Thing which I know about transports is that we have to go to transaction SE38 and there we have to run report ' RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER'.
Through this report we can create the transport request.when we release this transport request it goes to the target system successfully but changes are not reflected in the target system.
Any pointer to this please revert.

or you check you import transports in the target system for any default settings

Retain OTR translations during upgrade

Hello Experts,
For our LSO application, We are changing some standard OTR translations from package LSO_FRONTEND_WDUI.
Our concern is that upgrading might overwrite all the changes we have made.
Does anyone have experience with this & what can be the solution for this?

Hi,
How you are going to change the texts? using Access key? While upgrade, you will have the option to overwrite the changes or to keep the original. Also, you can always retrieve the changed objects from previous versions.

Creating OTR Translation

Hi,
Recently we have upgraded from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0. I am not able to create OTR Translation. SE63 transaction has changed a lot after upgrade. However I am able to create OTR in one language but I am not able to create a translation in other languages for the same OTR.
Can anyone help me on this ??

Need to Transport Workflow Translation

Hi All,
I want to transport my workflow translations to QA system. how do i do it?
Because when i did the translations through SWDD->extras->translation.....it did not ask for any transport
But i checked in the table SWDSTEXT...all the translations were correctly stored( in DEV).
I also tried through SE63...bu giving R3TR PDTS 90100010
There also it did not ask for any transport.
Please tell me step by step to transport the translation to QA system.

Hi,
1. Please login the system using the language for which you have to translate the workflow.
(For example if you want to translate to chinese then login using ZH as logon langauge )
2. Then translate the worklfow (SWDD->Extras->Translation) and activate it , then your workflow gets stored in a transport request.

Transporting OTR texts

Normally , all the translations of OTR will get reflected in all the system after translation.Else one request will be generated automatically .
But in my case , no request has been created. So am unable to get the translated text in other systems .
I have tried adding all the OTR text of that Package to a request through SE03 using both the logon languages .still translated text are invisible in other system
Any other solution ??

Hi,
Activate the BSP after the transport.
Reset the otr after the transport. Below are the steps.
1. Reset the OTR (Online Text Repository) buffers with /$OTR.
2 Setting the flag correctly: Execute the SOTR_DEFAULT_CONTEXT_FLAG_SET report, 3. then reset the OTR buffer with /$OTR.

We have a template smart form for PO layout in English Language.
Using this template we translate the smart form into different languages.
I have done some changes in the translated smart form in t code SE63.
When I saved it did not ask for any Transport request.
Now I want to transport the changes to quality system.
Please let me know how should I do that.

OTR translation is not working NW 2004s

Hello all,
I am changing the translation of a standard OTR text but it is not working, once I change it the page still display the old text until I reboot the WebAS server.
Thus I deduce there is a cache or buffer that must be restart for the changes to take effect or there is a bug on NW2004s version.
Does anyone know if there is such a cache and where can I reset it, I already tried to reset HTTP cache but it did not work.
