Transport problems for Z* - InfoObjects

Hello experts,
we do have a problem concerning the transport of BW InfoObjects that have been created in the namespace Z*, e.g. the InfoObject ZD_TEST. We get an error message that the object does not have a connection to the CTO when we try to change the object catalog entry.
1. Is it possible to transport Z* - Objects? (With our customer namespace /***/ everything works fine).
2. If yes, what are the necessary steps?

Steps:
Go to RSA1 - transport connection and look for your Zobject and choose 'data flow before and after" and collect automatically. This wil prompt for transport request. IF you have any open request that is relevent select that request or a create a new one from the same pop up. The system will save the Z* to this request. Go to Se10 and release the request, if you are ready to export this object.

    We are trying to create derivation rule through transaction KEDR without any values. After creating derivation rule, it is creating workbench transport request eventhough K9RE* table is client dependent.
    We have different transport routes/groups for customizing and workbench. SAP Layer is assinged to workbench transport group with one another Z* layer.
    When we are trying to create request it is creating workbench transport request eventhough it is client dependent. It is using KEG0 package which is assinged to SAP layer.
    Workbench transport are not going to all clients and we have to move request manually to other clients.
    What should we do for changing this behaviour?

    With detailed explanation:
    I thing previous post with was not detailed enough. Please see below.
    We have created two different transport group for differentiating
    customizing and workbench transport request.
    ZECD layer is assigned to /CUST/ group where as ZWBK and SAP layer is
    assinged to /WRKB/ group.
    We are moving all client independent transports (assigned to /WRKB/
    group) to only 1 client in other systems.
    While creating derivation rule through transaction KEDR, it is not
    allowing us to assing /CUST/ group eventhough config is client dependent.
    It is using package KEG0 which is assinged to SAP layer and SAP layer isassinged to /WRKB/ group in our configuration.
    The Derivation rule config is client dependent eventhough it is creatingworkbench request. We would like to know why it is creating workbench
    request instead of customizing request.

  • BW transport problem

    Dear all,
    When transporting BW objects from DEV to QA, we frequently get 8 as a return code. It seems that this situation comes from the dependencies of the different BW objects.
    As an example, lets say that we have 2 transports: one containing the InfoObjects composing the structure of an ODS and the other one containing the ODS itself. We have noticed that in the first step, all the objects are imported in the QA environment. In the second step,
    the method execution takes place. So when the method execution is performed, the sequence in witch the objects are activated is not always respected. As a result, we have a lot of transports ended with errors.
    Is there anyone living the same kind of problem?
    When we release a group of transport, is there ways to make sure that, for each transport, the sequence: import/method execution is respected?

    Hi,
    When transporting in BW you have to make sure the  sequence of transports.
    The transport sequence i follow is,first activate all the info objects >> Data targets >> any InfoSources >> Comm Str, Update Rules, Transfer Rules >> Routines >> Queries & Workbooks etc..
    Another option is go to RSA1 > Transport Conncetion, here select which ODS which you want to transport and choose Grouping option.

    Hello Everyone,
    We are getting an error while trying to create an Universe via Microsoft -> MS Analysis Services 2014 -> OLEDB for OLAP Provider under Connection in UDT -"DBD: Error while trying to load the transport provider for odbc. Failed to load the library. System error: The specified module could not be found."  We have installed BI 4.1 SP05 in our system. As per earlier posts in scn in BO XI 3.x this issue used to be for improper installation of Integration KIT but in our scenarion Integration KIT is within the BO 4.1 package so no seperate installation is required. Moreover I have checked whether all the driver is present under file: "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\connectionServer\drivers" and seems everything is fine. But still I am getting this error. One important point is we could use IDT because in IDT still we don't have option to connect with 'Microsoft Analysis Services - 2014 (XMLA)' as we are using Microsoft Analysis Services 2014 version.
    Kindly help if anyone has faced the same problem with SAP BO 4.1.

    The problem is solved now after installing "OLEDB drivers from SQL Server 2012 Feature Pack". We had OLEDB drivers that comes directly from SQL Server but that did not worked out in our case.

    need help for finding objects impacted by size change
    for xxx infoobject, due to some requirements, the size to be changed from
    char(4) to char(10), in the source database tables as well as adjustment
    to be done in BI side.
    this infoobject xxx is nav attribute of YYY as well as for WWW
    infoobjects. and xxx is loaded from infopkg for www infoobject load.
    now that i have to prepare an impact analysis doc for BI side.
    pls help me with what all could be impacted and what to be done as a
    solution to implement the size change.

    Hi Swetha,
    You will have to manually make the table adjustments in all the systems using SE14 trans since the changes done using SE14 cannot be collected in any TR.
    How to adjust tables :
    Enter the table name in SE14. For ex for any Z master data(Say ZABCD), master data table name would be /BIC/PZABCD, text table would be /BIC/TZABCD. Similarly any DSO(say ZXYZ) table name would be /BIC/AZXYZ00 etc.
    Just enter the table name in SE14 trans --> Edit --> Select the radio button "Save Data" --> Click on Activate & adjust database table.
    NOTE : Be very careful in using SE14 trans since there is possibility that the backend table could be deleted.
    How to collect the changes in TR:
    You can collect only the changes made to the IO --> When you activate, it will ask you for the TR --> Enter the correct package name & create a new TR. If it doesn't prompt you for TR, just goto Extras --> Write transport request from the IO properties Menu screen. Once these IO changes are moved successfully, then the above proceduce can be followed using SE14 trans.

  • Problem charging 0MATERIAL INFOOBJECT Hierarchy from R/3 into BW

    Hi everyone,
    I'm having this problem when trying to load data into this infoobject's hierarchy. The problem is that i'm recieving an information IDOC  with status 8. it's message says that the table that the process is trying to get the data from in R3 is empty. but it's not telling me wich R3 table it is.
    Does anyone know wich table is that?
    And maybe someoneknows how to insert the hierarchy data on it?
    I prefer a standard solution, but it's no problem to do a Z extractor for it. Tesource system is retail but i don't know if it really matters.

    Hi,
    This means Hierarchy structure is not maintained by R/3 people and they need to maintain the R/3 hierarchy.
    please check it out in KCh3 t.code to see the Hierarchy subculture of this.
    We also got the  same in RSA3 when runned for some Infoobject 0comp_code hierarchy.
    Are u getting any Hierarchy while running in Rsa3 t.code or not getting anything.
    Please letme know to comment on this issue.

    I am moving the same object from development to production, i feels ther is some problem in setting transport target.
    BS_DEV target system is BS_QA, in development sld
    BS_QA source system is BS_DEV anf target system Is BS_PRD in Quality sld
    BS_PRD source system is BS_QA, in production.
    The above error occurs when we are moving same object which i moved from development to quality to production.
    whether i need to take obejct from quality and need to move that one to production, or i can use the same development object to production...?

  • Transformation transport problems when containing routine

    Hi Gurus,
    I'm facing a transport problem.
    When i want to transport a transformation that contains routines, the transport says syntax error in routine. The routine in DEV is tested and correct. I realised, that the transport does not bring the routines. After transport, i open the transformation, and the routines contain the default routine: RESULT = .
    I found some answers in some posts, but no exact answer how can i get rid of this transport problem. I don't like copy - paste into prod system with manually editing....
    If you have any idea, please let me know.

    Thanks for your help, it worked now, but i think it should work without owerwrite originals. Sometimes it seems that the routines is not included in the transport request, when i modify a routine in a transformation.
    But thanks anyway, problem solved now

    Let me assue you that I have never made any changes manually on my Dev Box Ever.
    1.If you create the Transport Targets for your Business Systems correctly such that all Source Business Systems are mapped to a Target Business System and
    2. All the Target Business Systems belong to a Single Transport Group pointing to your QA / Prod Integration Server, things work like a charm.
    As you do not have details, it would be very difficult to point fingers on what the issue was, but normally the problem is due to either of the above 2 not being done correct,.

    I'm implementing SAP TM 9.0 Transportation Planning for Shippers RDS.
    While trying to activate this solution in Solution Builder I get following errors:
    1. Error@ ECATT /SMBERP/XK01_O001_T55 in BB TM1 (XX) of scenario T79 does not exist in system
    2. Error@ ECATT /SMB50/WE21_O001_E04_01 in BB TM3 (XX) of scenario T79 does not exist in system
    3. Error@ BC Sets /SMBA0/V_T681F_B4E2_J01 in BB TM7 (XX) of scenario T79 do not exist in system
    Installation files (INST_FILES_TMS_XX_BP_ERP606V7.zip file) were downloaded properly, but these ecatts are missing somehow. Did anybody face with this problem?

  • Open Hub transporting problems

    Hi everybody, we have Open Hub transporting problems, it just gives us return code 12 or 8, basically, it doen't want to transport neither Open Hub Destination, nor Transformations, nor DTPs, and bear in mind that we're on the 15th Patch Level. We've looked at all the SAP Notes, but they reffer to the earlier patch levels...
    And other problem, is that it's OK in DEV system but in QUALITY system, when you launch a DTP it gives us a dumb with ASSIGN_TYPE_ERROR
    Any ideas??

    My destination path on the DEV box is simply the following (identified by BID in the following path):
          D:\usr\sap\BID\DVEBMGS00\work
    And when I locate the un-activated open hub on the QA box, the BID is already changed to BIQ, but the server name box/field is empty....
    I am going to try with the object changebility option, btw, is there any documentation on how to change these objects that are marked with object changebility on the QA box (provided that we can not manually change anything on the QA box)...
    Anyways, I think my problem is with the server name conversion from "abc-bi-dev" to "abc-bi-qa"....!!!
    Also, please note the RSBFILE entry for this object in the QA box has the "btcsrvname" as blank...
    Do you think there is any additional setting that needs to be done on the QA box to do this translation (from "abc-bi-dev" to "abc-bi-qa")?
    The only two setup we have done as far as the BI is concerned is at the "Tools-> Conversion of logical system name"....where you only put the conversion for client name mapping from dev to qa and local file system mapping from dev to qa.
    So, is there anything else to map the host name (from "abc-bi-dev" to "abc-bi-qa") either at BI perspective or Basis/NetWeaver perspective?

  • Change run for Compounding  infoobjects

    Hi Experts,
    I need a solution.My question is that do we have any option like attribute change run for compounded infoobjects.Ex.Componding change run??.
    Issue is that.I have Characteristic infoObject ZBOMM i.e for Bill of material.It has attributes and compounded infoobjects.The componded infoobjects are 0plant and 0material.We know these compounded objects acts as an primary key for ZBOMM infoobject.When the changes happen for attributes,because of attribute change run it over writes all attributes of ZBOMM which will be available for reporting.But when it comes to compounding infobjects (0plant and 0 material) it will retain the old data and also reflects the new changed data.this is shows double entry in reports.I want the old data not to be present as it happens for attributes.
    Is there any solution for this problem?.
    Please let me know.

  • Insert new Master Data Record for an InfoObject using a Function Module

    Hi @ all,
    is there any Function Module for creating a new master data record for an InfoObject? Implementing a FM for inserting a master data record into a master data table is done quickly. I think there will be problems with inconsistency implementing a FM using a simple "Insert" Statement. Isn´t it?
    I know it is possible to maintain an InfoObject in RSA1 (Master data IO> right click>Maintain Master data>execute(F8)> ...) but I have another requirement for using a FM.
