Hi,
One transport has been transported to Production manually.
how to check who has transported the request from SAP.
I checked in SE01,SE09,SE10.....i havn't found any thing.

Dear Vinod,
TCode 'STATTRACE' (Try with STAT if STATTRACE is not there)
TCode STMS (Transport Management System) -> Import Overview -> Display Log.
I feel you should be able to display who has released the request in SE09/SE10. Check 'Workbench/Customizing Request' select 'Released Requests' and display.

Transportation Related DO - should only be procssed with shpmnt doc created

I have 2 types of sales order.
1) one sales order "ZDIR-direct sales" does not requires transportation (Shipment document) thus the process related to it is sales orde - > Delivery order -> PGI -> invoice
2) other Order type is "ZTRN - Transportation related" for which the process flow will be SO - > DO - > Shipment Document - > PGI -> Invoice
Now how can i control that all the sales through ZTRN order type should only be processed via shipment documnet. right now when in ZTRN sales mode, user can click on PGI in its DO and thus can invoice...Thus the shipment document is bypassed and pgi is directly carried out in DO.
Inshort, is there any control in starndard system that transportation related DO cannot be processed without shipment document.

The system calls this user exit in function module:
=> SD_DELIVERY_SHIPMENT_STATUS.
You can use the source code in this function module as a template.

Km transport related problem

Hello guys,
I have done the offline transport of km data, and as the SAP documentation says only ACL's get transported. The problem is the we are not getting the collaboration tab in folder or document details property.
We are only getting View, Actions and Settings.
I guess this problem is due to ACL so i tried giving FULL CONTROL to a user but its not working? Also in the Settings tab it only shows few options like propeties permissions versioning and templates.

I assume that 'virtual' system as QA.
So you have setup TMS using that real DEV and virtual QA. You setup transport route, create a transport and release it.
The time when you release the transport, it is already applied now in DEV. Why it should be there in DEV Import queue then ? It would be shown in that Virtual system's Import queue (second system/QA) but not in dev import queue.
In any case you need not to 'apply/import' that transport 'again' in DEV, when it is already created and released from DEV.

Transportation relations take too long to create

Hello,
I use TP/VS for different geographical regions in the same server. The total number of customers reached 30.000, and is likely to reach 55.000 in the middle of the tear with the addition of all the regions.
I am trying to create the transportation lanes of 10.000 new customers at the moment, and it will last for almost 16 days. When we reach full capacity, an update in the map / transportation lanes will get really difficult.
We noticed that most time is spent in table u201C/SAPAPO/MODELLOC u201C, checking all the entries for evert new record.
Table buffering property for the table u201C/SAPAPO/MODELLOC u201C is set to Single Buffer Record. Should we set it to u201CFull bufferingu201D for faster access.
This table contains 30.000 Records now. But when the whole project is finished, it will contain 55.000 Records.
Any kind help is appreciated.

Check the Live Cache database how much space is available.otherwise upgrade your database memory.
It may create this problem.normally it should not take much time.check with your basis team and update your APO System Memory

Transport Related Problem

Hi,
I have a Demo Server. I have configured stms by adding a virtual system. I have created a Transport Request and released it. Now I want it to show in the import queue of my system. So I am adding it manually via transaction stms_import --> Extras --> Other Requests --> Add.
But its giving error :- Transport control program tp ended with error code 0247**
**Errors: addtobuffer has problems with data- and/or cofile
So, I tried to Add it manually from OS via command:-
tp addtobuffer <Req No> <SID> Client=100 pf=/usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_DOMAIN_DV1.PFL
This time it is sucessful and I can see it in the import queue.
I want to know why it is not happening through SAP.
I have tested the following things:-
1. Trans_DIR - Its set in domain.pfl. Path is correct.
2. Tp test - It showing OK
3. Connection Test - Ok
4. Stms is configured. Routes are designed.

BI Transport Request - Query Transport Related Query..!!

I have concern in Transport in BI7.0
I have a query and in that i want to modify a keyfigure restrictions and to exclude Iteam Categorty in that Key Figure.
Now i am going to collect the Backout TP first after that only i can exclude the Item Category in Key Figure again before saving that Key Figure i want to collect the new TP.
So that i must have to update the Back out TP details as well as Collected TP Object details.
But here my question is already that query has been transported to Production.
If we search the KF technical name in that tp..if avaialable...then we can use that is as back out tp correct.
I have user name who transported the query, and object KF technical name i know..how to search this query in tp lastly trasported to production.

I have Transpoted persons User id, Queryname, Keyfigure technical names..
Now i need to collect the back out tp..and after changing the keyfigure restrictions..again need to collect the original tp..

Transport Related query..

Hi BW Gurus,
I have a couple questions for you guys on making changes to a Transport Request Object.
How do I:
1) Remove an object that does not need to be part of a Transport Request at all (i.e., it should have been created as a local object), and
2) How do I move an object from one Transport Object to another (let's say it was accidentally created under the wrong Transport request)
Using Transaction SE01, I do see the objects that need to be changed, I just don't see an option to change it from that screen.

1) delete object from the request if it says object is lock then goto tcode SE03 --> Unlock Objects (Expert Tool) -->Unlock the object and delete from the request and lock the other objects in the request
To change the directory -
Goto tcode SE03 --> Change Object Directory Entries

How to find Transports related to a Change Request

Hello,
We have solution manager 7.0 and have implemented CHARM.
In a change request, we have several transports (sometimes difficult to track). My question is that is there any way "OR" do we have any report, which will give us the list of all the transports assigned to a particular change request.

Yes it is possible and available in standard
enter tcode Solar_eval and goto change request management reporting
provide the change request details for which you are searching in Transaction data and press execute
you can see the transport request attached to it
moreover it you can also filter in the selection based upon transport request itself.

Error while creating Transport role

Hi,
I have created a new transport role - " Transport manager" but unfortunately the import function of that doens,t work. It gives Error: "Unexpected Error. See System log for more details...."
In the NWA i see: ' ( ' com.sapportals.portal.transport.ui.ImportComponent ')' ImportComponent.doOnUpdatePreviewPage(): unexpected error; action=onBrowse.
The same role assigned to user with content admin and system admin rights works fine.
Any ideas?

You told system admins and content admins can able to see that role . So,please check end user permission of that role and assign it to relevant groups or everyone if you want to allo all users to see.

Whilst if this role is given to the transport manager wherein he has just this Transport manager role. ...only with import function -> server option selected ->clicking on search gives an error.....
This transport manager role is created by making a copy of System Admin workset and assigning only the Transport related activities.

Merging Java Transport request with Abap Transport Request in Charm

Hello All,
We have activated the Change request Management in Solution Manager. Therefore transport request of type workbench and customising can be created when you choose action 'Create Transport Request'.
However we have some SAP systems that have CTS+ integrated which allows to generate transport request number and attach objects in PI Integration Directory - java transports.
Question is - Is there a way we can integrate the java transports generated in these SAP systems with Solution Manager CHarm and transport creation.
Or can we assign the java transports to charm in any way.
We are basically looking for how when users create Charm, the abap and java transports relating to the charm are generated and created only from Solution Manager manager or how these two transports can be linked together in Solution Manager.

I have read the links and followed the instructions and tried to create object
TABLENAME R3TR TABU and tried to save it.
I keep getting a warning message
Note: ZTABLE1 is an application table
Object TABU ZTABLE1 has object function "k", but no key.
(I don't know what key to enter. I tried the Key field name, but it said 'Enter Numeric values only').
If I ignore and save and try to create transport request and then import it on a different server, again only table structure is getting transported and not the contents/data of the table.
I would appreciate if some one can please let me konw what I am doing wrong.

Experience with transporting customizing entry and deletion of INOB table

Hello,
we had a strange issue here.
There was a transport related to customizing for classification moved to consolidation system.
Next day we mentioned that the content of table INOB was lost.
We found a OSS with explained that our transport could generate data loss in INOB table.
Now we have a question.
Is there any chance to regenerate the content of this table?

If transport is compulsory ,please have a back up of data present IN INOB table or else load that data ina Z table so that when u require it u can reload it again.

Regarding to the truck number, you can use the Transportation ID code field under Header -> Shipment in your Delivery (If it is not used anywhere else in your business)

Transport table entries

Hi,
this one should be easy to solve.
We have a user-defined customizing table with maintenance view. In maintenance view we defined no, or user, recording routine so that users can do adjustments without transport.
For the initial distribution to a couple of systems we want to have the table entries in a transport. If I use the transport button in initial screen of SM30, message SV142 says Transport is not possible for the specified data. In maintenance, all transport-related functions are disabled.
What are the necessary steps to include the table contents into a transport?

"no, or user, recording routine" ==> as far as I know, this prevents the transport request, you have to choose the other option (standard...), than SAP will prompt for transport request at the time of saving the entries (anyway, I will check tomorrow in the office)
one more thing: "For table key, enter * to transport all records." I think you have to add the client number at least, to avoid problems (if oyu have more clients and data is maintained in more clients on this machine)

Transport agent service does not start. Cannot load project in dev station.

I am facing a strange problem in my Mobile QA development station. This machine is a development workstation for an ARS.
When i logged in today, i cannot load my project in the visual studio. It asks me for the user id and password and hangs. It doesnt ask me to select the changelist, but hangs.
Also, i noticed that the transport agent isnt working as well. the service just says "Starting" and does nothing for a ling time and fails when i manually start.
Until last time i loaded my project, everything was fine. I do ConnTrans everyday.

You'd first need to check if login from Upgrade Console to your ars_db is possible.
If you're facing issues logging into the ars_db, please stop the SAP MAR Central Service(which would be present most likely on your MAR machine), wait for about 20 seconds and then start the service again. Then try logging into MAS.
If MAS doesn't hang while loading your project and you're able to proceed to selecting the changelist, then you can fix your transport related issue as follows -
1. Stop the Transport service from the Service Console(services.msc).
2. Login to TransportInstaller.exe and uninstall the previous Transport Service.
3. Browse to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP\MSA\Workbench\Server\TAgent in the registry and delete all the keys under the key 'TAgent'.
4. Install a new Transport Service using TransportInstaller.exe
5. Start the new Transport service from the Service Console.

Best Practice for unimplemented OTC project transports?

We implemented and went live with portions of ERP modules COPA, MM, GL(new), and Consolidations 2 years ago as a Phase 1 implementation. Phase 2, which began directly afterwards, included CRM, OTC, and BW. The problem that has come up is that due to numerous implementation issues, we have not gone live with Phase 2 and it is still undetermined when/if we will implement at least OTC in ERP. We have a 3-system (Dev, QA, Prod) ERP landscape and are running into issues due to inconsistencies between QA and Prod. All the transports related to the Phase 2 project were created in Dev and moved into QA, but due to the status of the project were never moved into Production. We recently had an issue with moving changes to our operating concern through the landscape, due to the existing inconsistencies of the operating concern configurations between Dev, QA, and Prod which led to us not being able to re-activate the Operating Concern in Prod until we moved in additional transports that were tied to Phase 2.
My question is this...What would be the best practice/approach to resolving the inconsistencies in our ERP landscape to assure that we have accurate QA testing of our Phase 1 implementation, but also trying not to lose the existing Phase 2 development if we decide to implement OTC in the future? I'm considering the below options:
A) Move all Phase 2 requests
- Refresh QA (via system copy of Prod)
- Move all Phase 2 transports that were originally moved into QA into the refreshed system and test existing Phase 1 business processes to determine risk of moving into Prod
- Move all Phase 2 transports into Prod in order to maintain 3-system consistency
B) 2 system consistency
- Refresh QA (via system copy of Prod)
- Leave all Phase 2 transports in import queue for QA, and maintain Prod/QA consistency only
- OTC implementation can be realized with moving Phase 2 transports through QA at some point in the future
C) "Reset button"
- Refresh QA (via system copy of Prod)
- Refresh Dev (via system copy of Prod) - I'm not sure what technical considerations would need to be made around the development system's role as the origin of rep and dictionary objects and how this can be maintain in a system copy?
- This would wipe out all Phase 2 development
I would greatly appreciate anyone's guidance on our options given our current scenario.

I would suggest to go with the option A though it seems more work with this option. But this is the only option which can effectively work in the long run. With option B, you will not completely eliminate the problem and with option C, you will loose all your phase 2 work, which will be big waste of the efforts.
Additional advantage with option A is that whenever your organization decides to go-live with Phase 2 work then minimal regression testing will be required as most of your work will be already tested and verified. Regression testing and remediation is significant work whevever a solution is introduced in a working environment.
