hi,
can i include multiple plng cubes to single workbench req?
while collecting cube contents, what flow i have to consider? It is purely plng cube and doesn't connected with any dtp/transformation, but i built one Bex query, can i use only necessary objects or after data flow or shall i trasnport query separately/
can i include multiple plng areas to single customizing req?
can i include multiple plng folders to single customizing req?

while collecting plng cube,what grouping option i have to consider.Simply i have plng cube, upon that bex query. I haven't included plng cube in any of multiprovider.

Transportation of plng areas in bps

i have two plng areas and upon this one mult plng area(MPA). Upon MPA plng folder built. i have to transport this model to production.
i have transported two transactional cubes to production. now i have to move plng areas & then MPA. first i have to move 2 plng areas and then mulitprovder. And after i have to transport plng folder? is sequence correct. can i store 2 plng areas in same customizing req. Or can i put all plng areas(2 plng area + one MPA) in single customizing req? For plng folder it's single req.

Hi friends,
i created one transport request for transporting custom appset to quality system.
while importing in quality i'm getting request in red color. checked log:
Unexpected EOF after 88079651 bytes
Ended with return code: ===> 16 <===
16: The transport tool terminated due to an internal error.
we intially transported Non BPC cubes, along with that infoarea name(/cpmb/bpc) came. But i'm able to see several /cpmb/xx infoobjects. I manually moved from infoarea(/CPMB/BPC) to other infoarea(ybpc) with new request in quality. next i'm trying to delete /cpmb/xx infoobejcts through one program(around 700 infoobjects are exists). can i use ujt_content_activate program to delete contents of appset, if i use that program what i have to mention in content version field? can anyone eloborate usage of ujs_activate_content? we are on bpc75nw sp04
any suggestions pls to import request correctly.

continution to above question. sequence of things happend in our side.
Few BW cubes(not bpc), which are getting data from bpc applications(bpc cubes) via APD are transported. Imported to quality succesfully.
Next transferred around 5 BADIs(classes & enhancement implementations) to quality system, which were written for moving data among bpc applications as well for few calculations in plng applications. Succefully imported into quality system and checked respecive BADIs.
Next trying to transport custom appset. while importing facing above problem. Followed SAP how-to guides/methods.
any suggestions pls.

Trace the transport req

Got a query on transport req.
I have a cube with update rules in PROD, but these update rules are not existing for the particular cube in DEV, I guess it got deleted in Dev and changes not moved to production.
How Can I able to find the request under this deletion has performed ?

Hi,
You need to fetch the technical ID of your update rules, which you can get it from Meta data repository and then search in SE03 for the transport request that has changed.

Transport Req issue

Hi All,
I am not a basis person, but by a bit bad luck i created a transport request in which though i intended to include only my objects , i included lot of unnecessary req, and they are all coming directly under the main req number in , ie in "Object List of Request"...and untill and unless I delete all the objects individually I cannot delete my transport....also when ever i tried to make changes to ne objects ....i find it locked in this transport ... want to get rid of it one shot...ne help will be really appreciated.

Hi Tina,
you need to delete unneccessary objects from your request either through ST03 transacation or by doubling clicking the task and go to change mode of the task. On the object tabe , you find all the objects that are collected in the reauest. Then you can choose all the un wanted objects and delete them from there. It will difficult if you have collect query elements in them as you may be in position to identify these query elements . But you can easly identify the other un wanted object and delete them. you can also have multi select options to delete them.
Other option is to release the request from DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM and don't import that into the Q/A or Production system which I would perfer rather than deleted the objects from the requests.
I also recommend when you collect your objects through transport connection please ensure you use only neccessary object option.

My query is built on multiprovider. The data flow is data source u2013 ODS then ODS u2013 Info cube and multiprovider contains Info cube only.
Data in ODS, Info cube ans Multiprovider(List cube) are in Sync.
The query results are not tie up ODS, Info cube ans Multiprovider(List cube).
Any one let me know why this is happening and how do I resolve it.

I am got a mail from client saying that "No cubes are reflecting in XIP ,after creation of manual IDOC"..

Transport of BPS planning area (variables) without transp. all pl. levels

Hi!
Can anybody advice me, how to transport new variables which I have created to a planning area, without transporting all planning levels which belong to it?
I transported a few planning levels that include the new variables I created to the planning area. As a result, the planning levels are transported but the new variables are missing. I don´t want to transport the whole planning area, since it contains a development which is not ready yet. Can I transport the missing variables with SE15 (how?) or is there some other way to do it?

Please execute program UPC_TRANSPORT_BPS_ALL and transport your variables without transporting any level or area.

Cumulative Balances in PCA Balance Sheet cube are not correct.

Could you please help me in sorting out this Issue.
Cumulative Balances in PCA Balance Sheet cube are not correct.
After doing a reconciliation my conclusions are:
Opening balance for 2005 (fiscal period 009.2005) is not in BW
Opening balance for 2006 (fiscal period 000.2006) is not in BW
Opening balance for 2008 (fiscal period 000.2008) is not in BW
Opening balance for 2009 (fiscal period 000.2009) is not in BW.
With the exception of fiscal year 2007(opening balance is in BW u2013 000.2007) the cumulative balance resets itself at the start of each fiscal year. The attached spreadsheet has an example of the data in BW and screen dumps from R3.
Please help me how to find Opening balance in BW for PCA

you need to derive your begining balance based on the fiscal year in your selection. It will be minus 1 year and period 12 for that year.

Transport of Std.Planning area

Hi
1) I would like to transport planning area '4CFVS01' from client 000 (BPS). Please let me know is it possible to transport only the above planning area with all its subordinate objects?
When I checked the Import of planning application, I think if we select the planning application e.g marketing and campaign planning it will transport all the planning area under this.
Where as I need only the 4CFVS01 (Validation sheet planning area) to be transported.
2) Also please let me know planning area u20194CFVS01u2019 (Validation sheet) & u20184TPM2000u2019 (Trade promotion) come under which planning application head?

I have created a customized planning area with Business content (real time Infocube) in BPS side. Now when I do a transport of Std Planning area and its subordinates (i.e 4CFVS01 - planning area) in that case will it throw any error?
Since already the std infocube is mapped to a customzied planning area. Should I need to delete the customized planning area before doing a copy of the std planning area?

Transport req. generation for standard text

I have done changes in standard text in trans. SO10 and could anyone let me know like how to generate transport req. for these changes for moving the same to Quality as i didnt get any transport req. generaton while i was trying to save my changes.

How to ensure data from ods to cube are correct or not

i am just trying to get data from ods to cube. how to make ensure that the records that i fetched from ods to the respective cube are correct and number of records are the same.

Dear Hari,
There are two ways of confirming correct loads:
1. Level by Level Analysis
2. Comparision with Virtual InfoProvider
First method is by analysing data at each level. First at Database Table (if loading from R/3) or Excel (if loading from flatfile), then at extraction level (See data at RSA 3, not possible with flatfile). After this load data to BW through PSA and check the content of PSA. After that load it to Infoprovider and varify there.
Second method is to create a Virtual Infocube on the datasource (extract exact data through FM). And create a multiprovider by combining this Virtual cube and original Cube. Then create a Query with calculated key figures as difference of each key figures from two cubes. This way you can say that which value is not matching.
I suggest you the first method, but the standard way would be second one at highly critical loads where you cannot match huge ammount of data.

I found it easiest to set up a linked server between sql server and analysis services then wrote some sql to pull out a status update query for all the cubes in the database

Hi Pooja
Delta capable is based on datasource but not on ODS or cube.
You can get this info from ROOSOURCE table,give data source name and check the field "DELTA".
If the field is left blank,it implies that the datasource is not delta capable.

Error while transporting req

Hi,
I have this strange problem. I have added some transformation , DTP , infopackage and routines to existing data flow.
I have put them in a single request and tried to transport them to quality server.
Now I am getting error while moving it to the quality.
The error log says that one of the transformation has error in start routine. Where is that transformation doesn't exist in the system, not in active as well as inactive mode. I have checked in RSA1 as well as table 'RSTRAN'.
Same problem with some of the DTPs as well. They are in error and they doesn't exist in the system( table RSBKDTP).
Kindly help. Am I missing something.

I have narrowed the problem. I had 4 transformation in that req, Now I have separate req for each transformation. Out of 4 req 3 has been transported successfully. Now I am having trouble with a single transformation and cause of the error is piece of code in include which I am using in a start routines.
LOOP AT source_package INTO ls_sourcepackage.
ls_i_mat-fpc = ls_sourcepackage-/BIC/dpmat. >> If I comment this line req get transported.
APPEND ls_i_mat TO i_mat.
ENDLOOP.
/BIC/dpmat is fiield in the structure of source package.
I am confuse why its giving trouble. The above transformation is from DataSource to Cube.
