Where can i check whether the automatic recording of changes is active in Customizing for a transport request. I mean the exact path.
Reason - Some of the configuration has not been transported to QUALITY

Hello Experts,
I have customized Company codes. In this context, I have deactivated three of them.
When I take a look in my transport request, I see the following structure:
- View Maintenance Data
     - V_FLQCOMPANY
          - FLQCOMPANY
                  8008530
                  8008580
                  8008590
800 is my client. 8530, 8580 and 8590 are my company codes. So, I know, which company codes I have modified. But where is the information, which modifiacations have been done with these these company codes? Where is the information availabl, that they were deactivated?

How to create Transport request in R/3(ECC6)

Kiran,
From RSA5 --> Choose datasource and select "Activate Datasource" --> system prompts for transport request. Do not save as local object. assign package and assign to transport request.
From RSA6 --> Select datasouce --> choose transport(truck icon) --> follow same as above
From LBWE --> if you do any changes or customization system prompt for transport request.

How to find the transport request which was released to Quality

Hi Friends,
Could anyone please let me know, how to find the transport request that was already released from Development to Quality?
there was some change in customization took place. I could find the user (through change log) who made these changes, however I could not find the transport request number he has already released. I did give his user name in SE10 and checked the released checkbox and did click transports to see them, however I found nothing. A message got displayed on the screen: Cross-system information for user xxx. I can't ask the Basis people about it, as its not yet been trasnported to Productive.
Is this the correct way to see the transport request number? Is there any other way to find the number. I can give the tentative dates when the change was released.
This post might already posted before, I did some search, could not find the exact info what I am looking for. Would appreaciate if anyone could give the step by step method to find it.

let me tell you the the situation in a better way.
When I see se10 with my user id I could see all the transport requests that I have released. However, now when I enter my colleague user id who did these changes (he is on vacation, otherwise I could simply ask him the transport number), nothing is shown on the page. in simple words the page is completely blank. Initially I thought it is because of some authorizations, but I can get the transport request numbers that are released by another user.
the info what I have right now are:
1. I knew the user name who did these chages
2. I knew the date when it was changed.
I just need the Transport Request number I mean which starts with DEVXXXXXXX.
As per your solution --> If you have any idea when the reques was relase you can select the request and click on goto-transport logs. This way you can find out the request. --> I knew the date when it was released, but didnt understand, the bold and underlined sentense in your answer.. select on which request? as I said, the page was blank after I enter his user id and activate it.. May be I did not understnd your solution properly. Could you please simplify it.

Transport Request is generated in following scenarios:
1. Customizing Request - When doing or changing some customization.
2. WorkBench Request - When configuration is cross-client. Eg Generating new Table, making changes in access sequence, Abap development, etc.
Transport request is not generated for Master Data. For eg: Customer Master, Material Master, price master, etc.
Benefit of Transport Request:
SAP Landscape normally has 3- Tier system:
Development Server - Where customization takes place. Transport request is generated at this level & then first transported to Quality server for testing whether it meets the requirement or not. Once the requirement is met in Quality server then Request is transported from Development Server to Production Server (Actual / Live System)
Quality Server - Mainly useful for testing.
Production Server Actual / Live server, where the real transactions are created & posted.
Procedure to Release & Transport Request:
1. In development server, go to T.Code: SE10 & select the check box Modifiable & enter
2. In the next screen, you will see list of transport request created.
Note: Transport request consist of main request along with sub request. These sub request hold the object to be transported.
3. Expand the main request & you will be able to view the sub requests attached to main request.
4. First release the sub requests.
Note: To release the request, select the request ni & click on release request individually (Do not select release all request)
5. Next release main request.
6. Once the request is released sucessfully, imform the basis person to import the request to QA server.
or
If the authority is with you, through T.Code: STMS, select development server --> select request no & release to QA server. Here when it pops up client no, user id & password, maintain it of QA server & release the request to QA server.

Substitution rule created, NO transport request generated automatically?

Hello Everyone..Good day!
Have searched the PS forum, but in vain .. Can anyone suggest why system is not automatically creating a transport request for new substitutions created in IMG as I need to transfer the same to other systems thru transport system with a TR. Should a TR be created manually in this case??? Is this a normal behavior in case of customization for substitutions in PS.

Can you please check SCC4 transaction for know the configuration parameter for No transports allowed is set or not?
such this is the standard behavior in case of OPSI and OPSN validation and substitution. & its client based task to have to do manual in all client system.
why we avoid substitution by transport Request? there are following reason to avoid
1.Class ZV messages are not transportable
2.Repaired objects cannot be included in dev./correction.

Change the transport request number

HI All,
One of my program in porduction we done few modifications to that program one month back that is still in QAS,again we done few more modifications to the same program so now I have 2 request numbers due to few problem here my client don't want to move to PRD the TR number that I created one month back he is asking me to create new TR number,but my problem is after that TR I already created one more TR that is also in QAS,if I create again a TR is it will have modifications that I done in two earlier requests,any one please suggest me.

Hi Sree,
If i am not wrong, you are having below doubt :
1. You have done some modification which u transported to quality. Transport No A.
2. You have done some new changes which u record into another transport request. Transport No B.
If its a workbench request, then no need to worry, you can transport request no B only to PROD.
But if its a customize request, the u have to include Transport A contents to Transport B.

Mandatory assignment of Project with Transport Request

Hi All,
I have to create project PRJ1 in Solman and configure it with DEV system client 400. So all the requests created in DEV 400 must be assigned to PRJ1 also the condition is users must be able to create request only in 400.
There is also one client 410 in DEV where the consultant should do only testing (not customization) with sample data and all request shloud move from 400 to 410 by SCC1. And all the requests in 400 must get create only if assigned to project PRJ1.
In this task, I created project in Solman and also maintained the DEV 400 in system landscape and IMG of DEV project in third tab of system landscape.
But still my users are able to create request in 400 without project assignment. I also locked client 410 in SCC4, but some smart persons are opening client 410 and sometime creating request in it.
Please suggest me how to make it mandatory in DEV 400 to make mandatory of project assignment while creating request, and how to block 410 to produce request apart from SCC4 control.

to make the project assignment mandatory, make the following customizing in DEV - 400:
1. transaction SE03 --> Display/Change Request Attributes
2.Modify SAP_CTS_PROJECT attribute uing client specific checkbox (very important otherwise you will be blocked... to prevent transport request creation in other clients use SCC4 settings)

Only display and assign function for transport request

Hi,
I have a requirement for transport creation. I need to set a restriction on transport creation.the requirements are as per below :
Group A : Allow to create a transport request - both workbench & customize request.
Group B : Allow to assign transport request to the one create by Group A. This group is not allowed to create any request be it
workbece or customize.
I found an object - S_TRANSPRT. I have create a role and assign only activity DISPLAY & ASSIGN to group B. However, group B can still create customize request. Is there any other objects that I have to restrict.

You can take system trace(ST01) and find out what are the objects and the field values you need to restrict.

Customizing Transport Request Assignment process to Local Objects

Hi,
I am developing custom report, which will find out all dependent and local objects for given transport request. When we select the local objects and save, it has to show standard saving process screens...like package and TR screens.
I am trying the above problem using 'TRINT_TADIR_POPUP', 'TRINT_ORDER_CHOICE' and 'TRINT_APPEND_TO_COMM_ARRAYS' function module, but this function module 'TRINT_APPEND_TO_COMM_ARRAYS' giving exception ob_check_obj_error.
So, please let me know anyone have solution for assigning local objects to package and TR through customization (Programmatically).

I need to have a save screen's, which generally we get during saving of any R/3 Object.

Direct V_T024B (Tcode OB02) table maintenance without transport request

One of our client would like to give the user access to table V_T0244B (Credit Representative Groups) for regular maintenance (daily acitivity) without generating transport requests.
Transaction code: OB02
Menu path: Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Credit Management > Credit Control Account > Define Credit Representative Groups
Requirement is to allow end users maintain Credit Representative Group changes directly in Production without any transport request.

The view V_T024B has the "Standard recording routine" and your client the option "Automatic recording of changes" defined. If you turn of the automatic recording (transaction SALE) you can customize without any request.
However, if this client change is not appropriate or allowed you could create your own view for maintaining the data. This view should have no recording routine.

Transport Request for creating Organisation structure in DEV and Quality.

Dear Gurus,
I have a issue regarding transport request creation for creating organisation structure.
My client has their own basis team, Iam doing the customization in Dev server, when iam creating organsiation structure in dev server ( Easy Access) iam unable to generate transport request, Their basis team is saying that no transport request is created in easy access.
My question is weather transport request is to be generated in Dev (Gloden client) for creating organsiation structure or not. Please guide me.

You can try report RHMOVE00.
It is up to you to either maintain the org structure in dev server and tranport to quality or maintain it directly in quality.

No transport request when a new sales office/ sales group is maintained

Hi,
We have an ECC 6.0 system and when we maintain new sales office or sales group it doesnt ask us a transport request.
Proper settings are done in SCC4 and TMS is properly activated. I have already checked if there are any modifiable requests with the particular object for sales office(TVBUR).
But no request for this object exists.

Correct Settings are done in SCC4. Rest of customization asks for requests apart from Maintain Sales Office/Group.
The problem was resolved. In SE54 i checked for the table V_TVBUR and V_TVKGR which are for Sales Office and Sales Group respectively. If you display Generated Objects for these tables then you would see under Dialog Data Transport Details
Recorded Routines and two options
1 - Standard Recording Routine (which should be selected)
2 - No or User Recording Routine (which was to deny Transport request generation of the Table)
Select the First one and things were sorted out. You will have to take Access Key & Developer Key to change the table

Transport request and Message class?

Hi,
How to create a transport request for the changes I made in a content of the table (eg: T100 ) so that the changes can reflect in all clients. and please mention the name of message class for the object BUS2121 or else name the message class for the messages that has been used in shopping cart email templates.

Hi,
The message for SC is BBP_PD, you will find in SE91 txn. and you would need to know the message number to customize it, you can do it in SPRO-Cross-application settings-> Message control, and then select BUS2121 and add new entry to change it from standard.

Transport Request in ChangeRequest Mamnagement

Hi all,
While creating a transport request from solution manager,it creates 2 request-one customization and one work bench.Why it creates 2 request?Pls help on the above issue.

It creates one transport request for ABAP changes and another for configuration changes. You use whichever one you need to make the required changes. Later in the process, when you perform the "Complete Development" on the Normal Correction, Solution Manager will delete any Transport Tasks or Transport Requests that you did not use.
Having said all of that, I ofen get the error "System cancel RFC destination SM_TSHCLNT030_TMW, Call TR40_ORDER_DELETE: Trying to establish a connection using RFC destina tion SM_TSHCLNT030_TMW" when Solution Manager tries to perform this action. I end up having to delete the empty Transport Tasks and Transport Requests manually on the satellite system in order to be able to "Complete Development" on the Normal Correction. For Urgent Corrections, the equivalent process works fine.
