Transport request / Object - showing repair

Dear All,
We have copy some of infocube object from other system to our existing development sever thru transport request.
Now when we are doing some change in object and creating request. Within the request object no is coming as a repair . but it allow to release the both
Can you please suggest to resolve this problem .. ?

When new created objects are added to Transport Request, they appear under Development Task and when existing objects are changed and collected in transport, they appear under Repair Task. This is not a problem and a usual behaviour with repect to Transports. So this is not a issue.

For your requirement you can do with menu bar options from the SE09 transaction,
Don't go for suggested table level changes,
Never in SAP system do any SAP table level change, you are invalidating your Service licence agreement in doing so. If any inconsistencies arise in production because of such recklessness then SAP will simply blame you. You can do as many changes in a Z table created by you but never in SAP tables.

Delete the transport request Objects already transported

Hi,
I have a request which contains two function grps ( 'Z') , along with it function modules (Z) and related objects ( Z data elements, Z Classes, Z table types and Z table structures).
By mistake this request is transported from System1 to system2.
How can i delete them in system2. One way is manual, but guess some problems could occur in it.
Is there any other easier way.

Hello
You have two options to achieve your goal:
1.a) Create a new transport request (system 1) and include all objects that have been imported into system 2. Release this request as backup for restoring the objects in system 1.
1.b) Delete all objects on system 1 (creates a new request), release the request and import these DELETE entries into system 2.
1.c) Re-import the first request (1.a) into system 1 to restore the deleted object.
2.) Change the source system of the objects imported into system 2 to this system 2. Then you can easily delete these objects in system 2.
NOTE: Approach (1.) is only feasible if you do not have too many cross-references to the deleted objects.

One Transport request objects copy into new transport request

I created a transport request under which i saved my objects. <b>Now i need to copy old request objects into new request or split that transport request into number of new transport requests.</b> First of all It is possible or not , if it is possible please tell me the solution how to do.

You can
(1) add object lists of already released requests ("old" requests) to you current request (still changeable)
(2) merge changeable transport requests together
(3) split a changeable request into several requests
Whereas (1) and (2) are supported by standard functions of the SAP system (3) is a manual task involving the following steps:
a.) Create a new request
b.) Copy required transport entries (e.g. R3TR TABL ZMYTABLE) from one request to the new request
c.) Delete all copied transport entries from the object list of the "first" request
However, if you are not fully aware of the dependencies between different transport object entries the splitting of object lists may cause hassle when you import the splitted requests into the next SAP system.

Transport request not getting released

Hello Friends,
I am unable to release a transport request.
While releasing a transport request, it shows the following log in SE10. The export is not taking place.

Hi!
Child transport = (transport) task, parent transport = (transport) request.
Releasing the task (child) does not trigger any checks, the locks are just copied from the task to the request (parent).
Only when releasing a request checks are triggered (can be done beforehand via menu in SE09). Also this steps (would) copy the source into files, which are later imported in the target systems.
You have problems in one package (DEVC) and three reports, obviously because of Japanese characters. The possibility to print Japanese seems not to include to name objects in Japanese...
Your objects are ZA11 and 1021-1022 - here no Japanese is include, so it has to be something on lower levels.
Check the code and try English naming.

How can we download a smartform and sapscripts under a transport request.

my requirement is that i have to download the transport request objects smartforms and sapscripts to do this i have to make a report, so that a person can run this report and enter the request number , then the objects smartform and sapscripts download automatically for him.
or is thr any standard report progrma available in sap system.

Transporting request problem

Hi experts,
I have a peculiar problem. I created a datbase table A and modifed a table B in DEV. The table A was cleared in testing , qa and the transport was released to prodcution. Unfortunately that request also had the modifications made to an another table B which were not finalised and the fn group of maintenance genrator of table B was deleted. Now we are not able to maintain table B in prodcution. Anyone have ideas regarding this. Plz help .

try regenerate the table maintenance generator in DEV server,
then check whether the object is complete in SE10 ,
if not, open the related function in SE80 and edit all included objects,
then transport the whole objects of table maintenance function to production.
It is suggested to always check the transport request object by using SE10 before transport it to production .

Transport requests are modifiable after backtransport

Hello ,
I am SAP BI consultant and working on BW implemantation project.
Last week we have imported many transport request to quality system but because of some wrong transport from another team , Client has restored the backed of last week day 1.
So system is showing all those Transport request in modifiable status in Dev which we have already import to Q ( from day 2 to 5 ).
When I chekced the logs of transport request , it shows me logs of release from Dev and import to Q.
Please let me know Do we need to again reimport those Transport request to Q or it will not be required as log is showing import upto Q.
Will this work when we will move TR to Production system.
Please let me know as I am very new to BASIS.

From what you wrote I undrstand that your DEV system is restored.
First question is - did you do any development on day 2 to 5 ?
If no, you can just release transport requests again.
If development has been done on those days, everything should be still available on transport data files, so the first thing I would try is to go to STMS, add them to the dev queue and reimport. Don't know if that's gonna work though...

Transport request outof SAP

Hi there,
Can anyone tell me is it possible to transport request objects out of sap system.
for example, i have done the configurations in our server, and i want to transport all of the request to our clients' server. we are not able to use TMS to transport all of the requests.
we want to transport all of the requests out of sap. say is it possible to export the request objects from our system and import to client's sap box?

Hi Samson,
Yes it is possible to import external transports in a system which is not connected via STMS Transport Routes.Once you have created the transport request in your system and have included the objects in it. Release the transport request.
This creates two files in the a command file, co-file and a data-file, these will reside in the /usr/sap/trans/cofiles and /usr/sap/trans/data
directory respectively.
The co-file will have a naming convention of K<change request #>.CND.
The data file will have a naming convention of R<change request #>.CND.
Move these to the client server - /usr/sap/trans directory and copy these files in the cofiles and the data directory.
Once done the change request can be added in STMS for the system (go to the STMS import queue and then Extras -> Add).
Then you should be able to import it.

I have a table E071 which has all the object names for the request. But my problem is to there is no record found for the transport which are in modifiable status. Can anyone suggest me at the earliest.

Transport request showing Repair for changes to OBU1.

Hi frieds,
I changed a document type assignment to a T code in OBU1.At the time of saving it is automatically generated with work bench request and in request tree it showing Repair, after releasing also it is showing Repair.
I dont understand why it is showing
Object can only be created in SAP package and Repair in request, is i am doing any wrong, please help me.

If any apply OSS Note at the time it will shows repair. I think its not in activate mode. Pls. check its activate mode or not. Then activate it and release. It will release.

Transporting BEx objects: objects not showing in request

I created a new request for Bex. but when i display the request in se10, i dont see the objects that I assigned to it. why is that

First you need to make sure you have written all your objects in one request and assigned to a transportable development class/package. If the request you have created is a local change request (you can see this in SE10), then delete this request or if it's a transportable request (when you click on the request, properties, you see a target client) then you have already assigned your objects to a transportable package, you can release this and then have it imported into your target system.
Alternatively you can delete your request(s), and then goto transport connector, accumulate the objects you need, when you scroll to the right you see a column by name "package", make sure you have the right package for all the objects (you can change the package name by right clicking and change the package) for all the objects and click on transport icon which will prompt you for a transport request or you can transport by using BEx transport (shiftctrl0). Hi Venkata,
It is showing 'Repair' status, as you are trying to make modifications to
either 1) a standard object using Access Key or 2) a semi-standard object which will not ask for a Access Key.
In case 1 & 2, the object / application would be developed by SAP.
In the 2nd case, you can do the customizing change provided you are sure that the application is used only for 1 purpose.
If it is used across projects, then the changes you are making will be affecting other's outputs also.
In that case, what you can do is copy the standard / semi-standard application and make the changes in your new custom application.
In some cases you will have to make some customizing changes to direct the control to the custom application rather than standard application.
It is always recommended to avoid any repairs being transported.
While SAP applies any patches, your changes to the object might get overwritten.

Error adding BW object into a transport request

Hi all, I'm modifying an OHD and when I'm trying to save into a new request I got the following error: "Attention!. The selected object is already locked by another transport request". And it shows me which is the TR that has the object locked, however, when I go to SE10 in order to check if the object its locked there, it is not!. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Did you try unlocking from SE03 - enter that request which system warned and execute and try collecting the Object again in new request
SE03 - Search for Objects in Requests/Tasks - enter IOBJ - Obj tech name - select Modifiable option and execute .. you will see the request numbers .. where this object is locked

Info-objects of an Info-provider under one Transport request

Hi All,
I am in the process of transporting the Objects from development to QA environment,
As a first step in the transport process, i need to transport the info-objects before transporting other info-providers, transformations etc,
i have several info-providers like BBP_PO, SC, SCA etc, which inturn has more than 100 info-objects that needs to be put under seperate transports.
Say i have info-provider ZBBP_SCA which has 50 info-objects, i need to put those 50 Info-objects in one transport request and then info-provider ZBBP_SCA in another transport request and then its transformations etc.
Can anyone tell me the steps of only collecting the necessary info-objects of ZBBP_SCA alone to be put under one transport.
I tried to do that, but it is collecting all the info-objects, info-areas related to ZBBP_SCA, instead of collecting only necessary objects of ZBBP_SCA.

Hi pooja,
So your intention is not to include anything other than target in second request.
For this right click over the object from where you dont intend to transport and say donot transport any below in transport connection.
The reason for target also showing the info objects and so on is that they are all necessary to form this cube definition.
Anhyhow, as you have ensured to collect them seperately go ahead with the approach mentioned above.
