Transport Request while changing InfoPackage

Hi,
I have a 2 different info packages on 2 different infosources which are of flat file upload.
Whenever we want to load the data, we change the file name in the External Data tab of the infopack and schedule to start immediately.
For one infopackage, system is asking for the transport request whenever I change the source filename but for the other one system doesn't prompt for transport request. It starts loading without any message.
Can anyone please advise what could be the reason for asking request for one infopack and not for the other one. Is there is any settings ?

Hi,
one got transported from development system and is assigned to a development class --> the system puts it into a request.
the other one is not transported and just a local object --> the system does not need a request to track the changes.

Hi vasmi,
Go to tcode PFCG.
enter the role name
click on menu role->transport.
and then execute and click on all the checkbox and then it will ask for the request ....and then u can transport it.

Transport request number change.

hi
can any one help me in this one
i created transport req number for main program while modifying the program.after that i changed text in text-03 while saving this one it asked me the TR number unfortunately i saved this in another TR number now the problem is the text is not replacting in main program.
it is giving error messege the task is locked.
Plesase tell me the solution.

Hi,
To delete your transport request first you have to unlock the request otherwise it will display you the message that object has been locked.
To unlock go to SE03, enter your transport request and go with unlock.
Now delete the entire request by selecting that request right click delete or if you want to delete object wise then select the object and go with delete.
After deleting that TR, again save it in the request you want.

System ask for a transport request while maintain IT0002

I'm getting strange message while maintaining IT0002 i.e system ask for a transport request. But while maintaining IT0008 or IT0009 etc it's not asking transport request. So while Diagnosis it is giving
Active integration to Organizational Management means that when a link to Organizational Management is created, it is saved automatically.
When saving organizational data, the data must be written to a transport request because, for example, the automatic transport recording is active. Without a correction request, the relevant changes in Organizational Management cannot be saved.

Check the Tcode OOCR how the swich is active or not
later check with ur basis Guy once

Error releasing transport request for change document object

Hi Gurus,
I created a new change document object for a Z-table. When i try to release the transport request in the development system it terminated with a message "Export application-defined objects 17.12.2009 11:07:45 Not yet executed". The transport request continued to be in the "Release started" status and i am not able to release it.
I checked in the co file & data file directory for this request, The co file is available but the data file is not created.
Could you please let me know how to solve this?

It was a problem with some basis settings. Was rectified by the basis team.

Dependency Information for Transport Requests in Change Request Management

If two CTS projects are not assigned to SOLMAN projects, it is possible to define a dependency successor/predecessor relation between two transport requests for the import order. For example I can state that I have to import TR 1 only after the TR 2.
When the CTS projects are assigned to SOLMAN projects, even though you have defined the dependency relation, this is not respected and from the Change Documents you can perform the import in the order you want.
How can I activate this check also in Change Request Management?

Some things you could take a look on:
1) start report /TMWFLOW/CONFIG_SERVICES --> here you can define system, client and project specific locks.
2) Transaction /TMWFLOW/CMSCONF --> also some options for locks and definition of critical objects
3) Transaction /TMWFLOW/LOCKMON --> monitor screen for locked objects and requests.
This is actually not the same functionality as have it in CTS projects directly especially as the locks are removed once a request is removed. The most important thing is still missing here (or at least I haven't found a way to activate): sequence control when importing requests out of parallel projects into production (to prevent downgrading).

Asking for Transport Request while editing DTP in Quality - Client Open

We have opened the client and trying to edit the DTP, but it is asking for transport request.
Is there any other setting that we need to do in order not to prompt for transport request?

Hi Ganesh,
One of the options would be to save it in a DUMMY request ,incase you do not want to transport such that you make changes next time it will by default get saved in that DUMMY request i.e it will not ask for a request next time.
We usually save it in Dummy request,when we change a DTP in Quality or in Production.

Transport Request while Uploading Documents

Hi
We have small problem when some of our users are trying to upload documents in Solution Manager. The system prompts for the Transport Request whenever they are trying. They have uploaded earlier and did not prompt for any. I checked the scc4 settings and make sure that I h ave selected the correct setting. Is there any way we can disable this option.

Are you sure SCC4 settings were not adjusted at that time or for a certain period, it's hard to believe it would suddenly change out of the blue.

Avoid transport request while saving table

Hi,
I have created a Z table and its maintenance view. When ever I enter values(rather change using SM30) in this table, always a popup with transport request is appearing. I need to avoid this. I need to avoid this as data will be maintained in production by business user and no data will be transported from Dev to QA to prod. I am not able to avoid tranport request number.
I am on SAP 4.6C.

Including transport request while modifying the custom table

Hello Experts,
I have a scnerio like, I have to insert/modify some records in my custom table. Now we want that these records should come under a transport request, so that we can track which records are for which user.
I am developing a report and including a parameter for transport request in the selection screen. So the report will take TR number directly from selection screen, but how to include it for the records inserted.

I think you did'nt understood my issue. I am not using and transaction. I am creating a report program which inserts new entries into my custom table based on the flat file on my presentation server.
Now I want these entries to be inside a transport request which is there in the selection screen.

Asking for transport request while table data updation

Hi All,
I am trying to update a table TCJ04 using transaction OPS6. When ever I am adding a new entry or edit the existing entry and click SAVE, the table is asking for Transport request number.
This table carries a master data and should not be asking for transport request. Rather its access has to be controlled by user authorisation.
Please tell me as to what is the reason of asking for transport request.

It is asking for the transport request for each new entry in the table since the Delivery class in the attributes is set to C( Customizing table, maintenance only by cust., not SAP import ), If it is set to "A" it will not ask for the transport request..
Try creating a custom table and play around with the Delivery class, A and C, you will come to know the difference.

Transport Request - Subtask changes

Hi All,
I have done the changes in a include and structure. But already one person is working on that include and structure. My changes are activated and created a sub task under his main request. Now he wants to move his changes to other system which inturn will move my changes also. But I dont want to move my changes now.
Plz guide me how to resolve this..
I can change the main request owner and move the subtask which is under my name alone to any of my existing request?

Hi,
The only solution to your problem is to remove your changes from the include, then release the change request and re-apply your changes to the include.
Creating a new change request with your task will not resolve your problem because all the include source code will be transported with the existing change request. (new versions of includes/programs are created only if there is no unreleased change request for the object).

Transport Request for HR master data

Hi all,
When we are hiring an employee or changing employee master data, system is asking for a transport request while saving the data. As master data is not transportable , we do not want system to show popup for the same. Kindly guide me if there is any setting to avoid this popup?
