Transport settings

Hi All,
I plan to move my requests from BI development to quality, integration testing and then to production. We are using ECC and BI.
My question is, what are the steps to follow for transportimg my requests.             I believe they are (for eg - QA):
1. Create 'ALEREMOTE' users (system users) in source and target systems (QA).
Q. What profiles do we give to the users in these systems?
2. Create RFC entry in sm59 for the corresponding ECC systems.
3. In RSA1 -> Tools -> Conversion of Logical System Names, create mapping entries for ECC QA -> BI QA (for QA).
4. Enter the entries for the source and traget systens in RSA1 -> Tools ->  Assignment of source system to source system ID
What are the other steps?
Any help is appreciated.

hi, u dont have to create the user seperately..
in ECC side, check if the logical system name is mapped properly.
the first tieme u open RSA1 in BI QA, it will ask for creating logical system and background user in BI side.
then, create a source system for ur ECC QA, it will automatically create the user in ECC (pl note that the ECC system should be open for changes during this time).
in RSA1's menu - Tools - Mapping of the Source sytem names, create a new entry for Logical system name of the source system before transport, after transport
this is the job of a Basis person, if any Basis team is there in ur proj, ask them to do it, as it would require admin ids..

  • QuickTime X Transport Settings

I'm not finding any way to adjust the transport settings under QuickTime X.
In QuickTime 7 and prior we sometimes had to have our users adjust their transport settings due to various issues.
But I'm not seeing any way to adjust the transport settings under QuickTime X
Does anyone know if it's possible?
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the 'Share' tip - I never new that existed either.

  • Transport settings for ASA's

    Hi,
Is there a way to change transport settings for archive collection based on groups?  We have ~1100 switches/routers that use telnet and 7 ASA's that use SSH. I have the transport order set to telnet first and then SSH.  This is causing ASA failed password attempts to be logged to the MARS appliance and I don't want the SSH passwords to be sent in plain text.  We are using LMS 3.2.
    Thanks,

No, there is no way to tie transport settings to certain device types.  It's an all-or-nothing thing.  For what you want to do, set your protocol order to SSH then TELNET.  For the majority of devices, the SSH will fail, but you can be assured that the ASAs won't have that clear text password logged.

  • Custom Streaming Transport Settings

I can't get QT preferences to retain custom settings for Streaming Transport. I need to see if I am receiving stream via http port 80 or UDP 554. Each time I change and apply settings then close the window, re-open preference the streaming Transport is re-set to automatic
I have Windows version of QTPro 7.04

    My location: at work:
If you are using a workplace computer on a local network this may well be the case. A Firewall blocks out all Internet traffic except those services that local network administrators consider essential. You will need to contact your local network administrators and have the University's streaming server included in the acceptable services. There's an adminsitrator's guide to allowing streaming Quicktime through a firewall <a href "http://www.apple.com/quicktime/resources/qt4/us/proxy/proxy.html">here. To check to see that you can access any streaming movie, open the Quicktime Player and clicking Edit > Preferences > Quicktime preferences > Streaming transport. Click the Auto Configure button. Quicktime should confirm that it can use UDP/RTSP port 554. If it switches to http:// port 80, then you are most likely behind a firewall that is configured to block Quicktime streaming files.
    My location: at home:
If you have a DSL router with a NAT firewall you will need to configure it to allow streaming media files. Open the Web-based interface for the router, select Advanced and choose "Port forwarding" (wording may differ for your router). Open port 554 for RTSP/TCP data and ports 6970 through 6999 (inclusive) for RTP/UDP data. Consult your router's documentation for specific instructions on configuring port forwarding, or contact the router vendor.

  • Logic Express 9 not saving transport bar settings

I changed my transport settings by adding buttings and clicked the 'save as default' button, but the the settings do not stay when I quit logic and reopen the project file.

    Well,
What I have to say is that the Roland's support helped me to find an answer. We tested the controller with another computer and everything was fine. The main problem was about software. When I formatted my computer almost everything was solved. The only problem that still remain is the midi oscillations in MIDI OUT display when ACT is lit. Now I can control LOGIC, and there is no strange advise when I start it. About the detail of the oscillations, maybe is a problem of configuration in LOGIC, maybe is a problem of hardware in my computer, I still don't know.
I wrote this because if anyone in the world is in the same situation, who knows, these words could help in any way.

  • Transport request number in LO extraction

What we have to mention in transport request number  field  while doing LO extraction ? where to find it ??

    Hi
Trnasport request number is system generated. you can foloow the below steps to activate and transport the LO data source.
    1) activate the data source in RSA5
    2) goto LBWE, you will find the DS in yellow color.
    3) click on activate, now system will promt for transport number. note down this transport number and click on continue
    4) you can check this transport in SE01/SE09 and release the same request.
    5) based on your system transportation settings, you can see this transport in next system in STMS

  • Inconsistent Results from Transport Rule to reset SCL

I have a client who has multiple sites. Their exchange server receives "scan to email" emails from a Canon C2020 Digital Multifunction on a different site. To stop the Exchange 2013 Spam filter blocking the emails, I set up a Transport Rule.
The rule has the following properties
If the Sender Address matches [email protected]
    Set the SCL to 3
Generate an incident report and email to the system admin, and inlcude the original email
Is the 3rd of 3 rules (the prior 2 add Disclaimers to outgoing emails depending on who the sender is)
    Simple enough right.
Wrong - some staff scan to email repeatedly and the scan arrives ok in their inbox.  Others, it simply will not let the email thru, and instead places the email into the Spam Mailbox.  I open the blocked email, click on Send Again and
    it arrives for the user.
Is the Transport Rule functionality buggy or prone to odd behaviour.  I have sat and read through the Rule so many times it is tattooed onto my retina.
The Email addresses for all users are created by an Email address policy so all are a consistent format = Firstname + Surname 1st Initial@contoso .com.
There have been times where I have wondered if the rules are case sensitive when assessing the email addresses.
Any thoughts to put me out of my misery, please show me where I have done wrong....

    Hi MBKITMGR,
Agree with Zammit, you should use the BypassedSenders parameter to specifies the SMTP address values of senders.
After that, the Content Filter agent doesn't process any content filtering for messages received from the addresses listed on this parameter.

  • "Conversion of Source System names after the transport" : O

    Experts:
    Environment : BI 7.0 and SP 12
<b>Tranports related to transformation rules are failing with inactive status...</b>
Further investigation on this, I have noticed that in our QA system, where "Conversion of Source System names after the transport" : O screen, we have columns
Original Source System, Target Source System, 7.0, Description(I guess, since no name is found)
Everything looks fine to me with reference to actual techinical names of source/target system...
My question there is a check box on column "7.0", which is UNCHECKED. Is this correct?
My understanding is that, this check box needs to be CHECKED, since this is related " Only Valid for RSDS, TRFN and DTPA Objects ". Is this correct?
If yes, Can I check this box in QA system, save and retransport my requests. If so, what happens to standard BW objects i.e., transfer ruels, update rules etc...
OR do i need to create another entry with same source/target system and check the 7.0 box.
OR do i need to create 3 entries with same source/target system and check 7.0 box for each entry i.e., RSDS, TRFN, DTPA.
Finally, please advise the exact steps that need to be taken here...pros and cons
Your inputs will be of great help....

    Hi,
Yes you need to check the checkbox as it is related to Data sources and transformation and DTPs. you can mark the check box if  your client is modifiable, if not you need to transport the setting from DEV. Go to
SPRO > Business Intelligence>Transport Settings--> Change Source system name after transport.
you also need to maintain the Source system IDs .
    Hope it helps.

  • WebDynpro ABAP post transport activities

    Dear All,
I have created a webdynpro ABAP application  and I want to transport it from development system to quality system. I would like to know apart from the transport are there any post transport settings or service activation needs to be done so that the application runs fine in the Quality system.
    Regards,
    Samir

    Hi Samir,
After you transport the WD Applicationfrom DEV to QA, you should activate the services that your Application requires. For this you need to go in to Tcode "SICF"(HTTP Service Hierarchy Maintenance). Now, click on the "Execute" button. Now in the hierarchy navigate to the required services and "Activate " the required services.
    I hope this helps you.

    Hi ChaRM-experts!
I plan to map the existing transport landscape into ChaRM scenario of SOLMAN and have the following questions:
    1) Is it possible to combine ChaRM-functionality and still use the old transport settings (without ChaRM) for the same system landscape:

    Hi Holger,
    1) Is it possible to combine ChaRM-functionality and still use the old transport settings for the same system landscape, letu2019s say:
DEV --> QAS --> VO1 (Without ChaRM and with virtual system)
    DEV:101 --> QAS:101 --> PRD:101 (With SOLMAN ChaRM)
For Charm we need the transport route to be client specific.Once you have done the client specific transport route, you cannot use the older Transport route.
    2) What will happen with existing transport, transport in pipeline by switching into ChaRM scenario?
TPs created before charm will be moved manually(normal process),as they will not be captured under charm project.
    3) Is there some restrictions for the implementation of ChaRM for SAP R/3 4.7 systems?
    No.
    Please revert for any clarifications,

  • Cost centers transportation

    Hi,
Here is a small clarification regarding Cost Centers  when i create cost centers the request is not displaying only the at the status line cost center saved message is comming.
Where it is storing how i should transport to quality or some thing..
    pls advice me ..
    Reg.
    Pandu

You can transport all CO Master Data including reports etc.
in the IMG follow the menu path:
    Controlling->General Controlling->Production Start-Up Preparation->Transport System Settings->Transport Settings for Master Data
You have to specify Controlling area and Chart of accounts
Normally Master data is sort of static data (that means that it is a changing dynamically unlike GL accounts which is more stable) and unless your project methodology is to create these first in your development system first then transport.
I personally would do this once bulk of master data has been created and transport <b>once</b> only to to a client since the transport will first delete an entry and try to create again, may have issues with this.
Sometimes you will be forced to create this type of data (cost centers, profit centers, activity types etc) in the Configuration client if you need to make settings in OKB9 or 3KEH etc.
    Hope this helps

  • Setup time in means of transport ignored by TP/VS Optimizer

    Hello Gurus,
I have a requirement of having a break for vehicle resource after each trip to carry out certain routine activities. I have modeled setup time of 2:00 Hrs in means of transport  for this. However when I run the TP/VS optimizer, it plans two consecutive shipments without considering any setup time.
Any idea on how to achive this requirement?
    Regards
    Sandeep Patil

    Hi Sandeep.
In the transaportation lane, in the means of transport settings, there is one field u201CAddnl Retentn Per.u201D
Additional Stop Duration for a Transportation Lane (hhh:mm)
Did you think to use this ?
Additional Stop Duration for a Transportation Lane (hhh:mm)
The stop duration indicates the time that a means of transport is not in motion between two locations. It thus represents an addition to the duration of actual transportation. The duration of transportation represents the pure travelling time (working time, net transportation time), whereas the stop duration is defined as a gross time (that is, it relates to both the working time and the non-working time of the means of transport).
