Transport Structure CO-PA (Characteristic modified)

I have some characteristics and value fields. I changed one characteristic because it was defined with verification table and it must without verification. Before I did transport all the structure to the system of integration.
When I transport the structure CO-PA don't change this characteristic.
Is there any solution? How must I transport this change?
I tried to transport the estructure CE1... but when I active the PA in Integration I loss the change.
Also I transported the structure CGDDIM but the same, it is not the solution.

Hi Cristina,
Generally you should regenerate the structure in KEA0 and then make the changes. Then regenerate the target system again. You must transport them trhough KE3I. This should work.

I have checked the VS profile and i dont find any problem with profile.

Try This..
1. Open the crystal client on your local machine and import that particular report.
2. Do Database -> Verify Database. Then refresh the report on your PC and make sure that it returns data as expected.
3. Export it back to repository and try scheduling it again. You can verify through CMC for Crystal Reports under " Database Configuration" property to make sure it points to the right ODBC.

'structure field cannot be modified' error

i am facing a problem in webUI. whenever i navigate to a particular view, its working fine but an error message is displayed on top saying 'structure field cannot be modified' . i am not able to find out why and where this is generated.
can anyone help me please.

If you can traverse through the Structure 'CRMT_OPPORT_H_WRK' and click on the data element (CRMT_SALESCYCLE) used for 'SALESCYCLE', you will come to know that the domain used is CRM_SALESCYCLE. Double click on the domain and click in tab Value Range Tab, you will find that it makes use of table CRMC_CYCLE. This allows data only from this table.

Error while transporting structure

Hi
I have tried to move a structure CI_FAGLFLEX04 from development to quality. But I am getting a transport error as follows..
Table CI_FAGLFLEX04 could not be activated
(E- Nametab for table CI_FAGLFLEX04 cannot be generated )
This structure is used as an include structure in FAGLFLEXB. Can anyone tell me what might be the problem.

Hi,
There are no Inactive objects in the cube in DEV system. Also must of the changes I made in Test are already in the cube in TEST But the cube is not active.
SAP proposed that the cube be activated manually but is not a good procedure to activate in TEST system.

Diagnosis
Errors arose when activating InfoCube ZCRUSDI02. An active version already existed before the activation.
System Response
InfoCube ZCRUSDI02 could not be reset to the old active version. Since the generated objects no longer correspond to the old active version, they were reset to inactive.
Procedure
The old active version of InfoCube ZCRUSDI02 can no longer be used. Remove the cause of the activation error and activate InfoCube ZCRUSDI02 anew.

DP: Hierarchy in PlOb structure with hierarchy characteristic

Hi all,
currently we have client in the Apparel+Footwear industry, and as always their requirements are complex.
In our to-be-designed DP solution we built up a simple plannign hierarchy with two dimensions, market and product. On the product dimension (and I am not talking technical dimensions yet!) we have one special requirement to model a hierarchy in one characteristic with an unknown number of nodes, therefore it is about possible to model it as usual in the CVC.
Question therefore is, if in this special case a characteristic hierarchy makes sense, also planning wise, and if so, how dis/aggregation works in this complex environment.
To get more into detail:
Market hierarchy: global -> region -> area -> sub-area -> customer
Product hierarchy: brand -> product division -> ... -> model (hierarchy) -> article
So model (hierarchy) is our problem, as there are, for different product divisions, different levels of models in parallel (conceptual model -> design model (1:n) -> planning model (1:n)....) therefore being a hierarchy with different nodes, the number changing depending on what division you look on. Planning should be possible on each level...
If not possible, we have to come up with a fixed max. number of model levels, that potentially blows our CVC.
As always, this is partly the as-is, so the to-be will experience simplification anyway. Just want to check the technical feasibility, as I haven't heard from anybody that this works... except in BPS

Is is that in the hierarchy, under a one particular division, there can be a "conceptual model", "design model" as well as a "planning model"? or one division always has only a particular model under it?

Transfer structure Transport ?

Hello Experts,
Transport from System1 to System2.
Transfer structure, data source, transfer rules, infosource are already present in the target system system2.
I made modifications to the transfer structure in system1 and added just the transfer structure to the transport request to system2. It failed with these messages. Highly appreciate your suggestions.
Error: "There is no Datasource with these attributes"
Warning: "Reference to transfer structure ABC_AB not available. No activation possible".
Wondering if I have to include the datasources in the transport request along with the modified transfer structure.

If you have made changes in the Transfer Structure and the transfer rules, I would advice you to transport the entire infosource to system2.

How can I sort using a secondary characteristic structure?

We have started using chracteristic structures in Query Designer 7.0 to group materials/customers for reporting. Our users love it except that I can't find a way to allow them to sort by a key figure (in a regular column structure) within the characteristic row structure.
Here's an example.
Net Sales is the Key Figure in the Column Structure.
Key Customers / Groups is the structure in the rows. There are selections build for each customer group with indidual customers assigned to each group within the structure.
The users need to sort the individual customers within each customer group in descending order by Net Sales.
There's no sorting icon available for the key figure column.
If you try to sort in the key figure properties, it doesn't work or says "not applicable".
I've tried creating a condition with 100% but that doesn't work either.
We are using BEx Analyzer 7.0 but it doesn't appear to work with the Web Analyzer either.
Can anyone provide any type of "trick" to accomplish this requirement?

Hi,
i think i´ve builded up something similar within a workbook. You just need two querys, one workbook, some standard excel functionality and a makro for sorting the data at the end. I think this should be less work than building a worksheet for every sub group.
The first query will only select the upper elements of the structure (in your example: "customer group") . The second query will select the complete structure like you´ve builded it originally. The first query needs a ranking key figure. (you can do it by the excel ranking function or BW function, depends on how building that query). Now you put the ranking key figure behind the second query by the excel function "v-lookup". Then you add a second column behind the second query with a excel-ranking funktion for the key figure of the second query which should be sorted. At least you add a third column which identifies the kind of characteristic structure element (for example by if-then function on the key: 1= customer group 0=customer).
Then you´ll have only to sort the complete second query by those three new columns ´- in best case by a makro - and thats it.

Best practices for Refreshing Unv Structure for SAP based universes

This may sound basic and I apologize for asking this, but the refresh structure in SAP based universes is somewhat different from noraml universes.
Here is what i'd like to do:
- Hide all the L00 objects.
- Rename all the L01 objects and move them to a new Class.
- Change some of the detail (attribute) objects to dimension objects.
- Hide the format and Unit for key figures.
- Hide all of the classes/subclasses that get automatically generated when a SAP based universe is created.
I have noticed that when I do the above and refresh the universe, it assumes that all these objects have gone missing from the original classes and adds them back to the universe.
I also want to make sure that if the select of an object gets updated and the object is re-named, then it should automatically pick up the change.
Lastly, I have some reports which were built prior to this renaming. I want to make sure that the reports do not break.

Yes it was a common problem back in the earlier XI 3.x days . a lot of bugs in this area were eliminated by the time of XI 3.1 SP03 FP3.x - you don't quote your version.
Actually, you need to be aware that a refresh structure is often not needed, and can corrupt the olap universe . Pls check out Note 1278216 - What are the best practices for OLAP Universe Change Management when using SAP Integration Kit?
in essence :
Only use 'Refresh Structure' functionality If:
- A new Object (Dimension/Characteristic) has been added to the BEx query (Rows/Columns/Free Characteristics)
- A new Variable Restriction has been added to the Bex query Filters
Do not use 'Refresh Structure' functionality after:
- Having modified a STRUCTURE in BEx. i.e. 'Detail view of Formula' or 'Details of Selection', or changing the General Description of structure members.
- Doing manual actions on objects/classes in the OLAP Universe like: Move ; Cut/Paste ; Drag/Drop ; Hide ; Delete.
(because these workflow can lead to corruption)

GetSelectedMember does not work on BEx Query Structure

Has anyone seen the following behaviour:
I have a BEx query
I created a design studio application that accesses the BEx query
The application displays a column chart. When you select a column, it 'jumps' to another tab that displays the detail in a table.
I used the following std. script
DS_DET.setFilter( "ZBCFLG005", CHART_1.getSelectedMember( 'ZBCFLG005' ) );
TABSTRIP_1.setSelectedTabIndex(1);
My issue is: when my Bex query uses a structure as a source for the chart, then getSelectedMember does not seem to provide the selected structure value (member) i.e. a simple structure filtered by characteristic ZBCFLG005.
However, when I change my BEx query by removing the structure and simply reporting the characteristic ZBCFLG005 in the rows, then getSelectedMember works i.e. provides the selected structure value (member).
How do I get Design Studio to read the member value from the BEx structure or is this a potential bug?

I do not think this is a bug, I have used characteristic structures quite extensively without having an issue.
Are you using setfilter against a characteristic or against a characteristic structure?
In your example, you are using a characteristic in both, to filter from, and to filter to:
DS_DET.setFilter( "ZBCFLG005", CHART_1.getSelectedMember( 'ZBCFLG005' ) );
But if you use a characteristic structure, you should also use it also in bith from and to, e.g.:
DS_DET.setFilter( "00O2TG4C8BB5D9L8PYOLHP7N8", CHART_1.getSelectedMember( '00O2TG4C8BB5D9L8PYOLHP7N8' ) );

Error message while transporting SapScript to productive system

Hi,
I have tried to transport an order sapscript form (modified Medruck) into the productive system. But I got errors in transaction stms.
The error message is displayed like this:
R3TRFORMZMEDRUCKN was repaired in this system
Message no. TW 104
Diagnosis
Object R3TRFORMZMEDRUCKN is in repair status. Therefore, it cannot be imported.
System Response
The object is not imported.
Procedure
If you still want to import the object, release the relevant repair andrepeat the import.

maybe somebody has already create your form in the productive system. Now you would like to create something already created.
Maybe, you have to check in the TADIR table (key R3TR / FORM / name of the form) if the form already exist. What is the system source for the form. (in the PROD)
And finaly, you can go to the SE03, select the first line and execute (to find object R3TR FORM ..) in all the request order. That will show you who has play with this form, and if a request was lost between DEV & PROD. (in the DEV)

Get Idoc structure and contents from Shipment Number

Hi all,
We have a 3rd Party Logistics company who wants to send us back minimal shipment data to enable us to update our shipment details. They want to send us the shipment number, and vehicle information. My tests (and SAP's documentation) have indicated that in order to modify a shipment via the message type SHPADV, you need to have the complete Shipment Idoc structure filled in in order for the idoc to process successfully.
My client has indicated that they want to use IDoc processing to manage the shipment updates.
Does anyone know of a FM that can be used to fill the shipment Idoc structures if only a shipment number is filled in? Or do the structures have to be modified manually? For example, these is a function called 'IDOC_READ_COMPLETELY' which populates all the segment details if an Idoc number is entered. I want something similar, but for a document number, in this instance, a shipment number.

Thanks for this suggestion. I chose to go down another path which I put up here for those who have this problem in the future.
I have passed the shipment number and just the fields that require modification into user exit EXIT_SAPLV55K_020, and recorded the passed in values into variables.
I then executed the idoc_output_shpmnt idoc, which, when the shipment number is passed in to the nast-objky field, reads the required shipment data and populates the idoc_data table with the segment details as per sending the document out. But the FM doesn't actually call the ALE layer, so I then loop through the idoc_data table, modifying the fields that need to change with the values I've saved in the variables, and passed the modified idoc_data tables back into the idoc_input_shpmnt FM. Worked a treat.

Should we have to use two transport layers ( SAP& ZDEV(created )) between the development & quality system as their consolidate route ?

I assigned the consolidate route ZDEV between the Development & quality systems.Now ,How can I assign the transport layer SAP between the both systems as a consolidate route. Help me with your steps..

Z<SID> and SAP both are consolidation route as well as transport layer having different characteristic.
->A transport routes can be either a consolidation route or a delivery route. For a standard three-system
landscape, the transport routes are as follows:
-> A consolidation route connects the development system and the quality assurance system. This
transport layer is named Z<SID>, where <SID> is the system ID of the development system.
->A delivery route is created between the quality assurance system and the production system.
->In the development system, if changes are made to objects whose development class refers to the
(standard) transport layer corresponding to a consolidation route, these changes are recorded in
requests and transported to the quality assurance system and then to the production system.
If you change SAP objects, these changes are recorded in repairs, which can be transported in the
same way but using the consolidation route "SAP".

Crystal report based on BW query with two structures

Hi,
I use a BW query with 2 structures. In the rows there is a structure of restricted characteristic 0material. I used this characteristics several times in different rows to restrict these rows to specific products.
Cars
motorcycles
Others
In the columns I have a structure of key figures. Every key figure is restricted to a specific time intervall.
So in BW the executed query looks like this:
                       Key figure 1         Key figure 2        Key figure 3
Cars                   10                     30                         100
motorcycles        20                   100                          30
Others                30                    40                           39
If I use the same query in Crystal then I have access to the 3 keyfigures and to one structure element.
How can I ensure that the query is displayed in CR like in BW? I tried to work with crosstabs but I was not able to get the same display like in BW.

Last active change request of a object which has been transported

I need a method to obtain the last active change request of a object which has been transported to the corresponding target system. I know that the CR tables are E070 and E071, but how can I know the last active and transported CR of each object? Any suggestion?

Hi Antonio, As u are aware that you can get TR information from E070 and E071 tables.From these two tables we can get the latest TR. In table E070 there are two fields with AS4DATE, AS4TIME.So, U can find the latest transported object on these two fileds.Also, u need to check the TRSTATUS field which specifies whether the object is transported ( R Released) or still Modifiable( Active as D).
However this table will also contains subtasks and main request. This can be diffrentiated with the help of STRKORR field of E070. If blank then its a main req else its a subtask where the field would contain the Main Request No.
