Transport to Consolidation system doesn't work

First of all, sorry if this is a silly question but I have to admin I am a little missed with NWDI. Every step we did we have a new error
In this case, we have trying to move a iView using NWDI and process to transport from
Development Environment to Consolidation doesn't work.
We have done all steps to deploy changes in Development and iview
has been updated correctly. But then, when we release the DC in NWDS
and go to Transport View - Consolidation tab and we do the import
althougth we have a successfully message with "Import Finished", the
iview has not been updated in Consolidation system .
We have doublechecked server, port and SDM password in Runtine System
tab for this server and everything is OK.
I have analyzed all logs generated during Import process in Transport
Studio and no error is showed.
I have find in CBS Consolidation builspace and we don't have any activities pending, and additionally the DC doesn't appear in this buildspace. However in Development buildspace it is.
Could somebody help us putting some ligth on it? Where can I to try to obtain log information about why this change is not moved to Consolidation?

Hi Javier,
I have sometimes a similar problem: we are developing WebDynpro applications. The activities are checked in and transported correctly, but on the destination system only the old release shows up.
My solution of this situation is not elegant, but effective (steamroller tactics or in german "Holzhammermethode"):
- Log on to the console of the machine where your destination system for your deployment is running. Start up the (really slow) standalone SDM application and select the components, which are not updated correctly, for undeployment and undeploy them manually.
- After successful undeployment reimport the component/activity in the JDI transport studio again.
As mentioned before, not elegant, but effective. It worked for all the situations now, when the deployment did not work, but there was no obvious reason available.

I am trying the Circuit Design Suite 13.0 and the help system doesn't work at all.

In all the dialogs with a Help button. Nothing happen if I click the Help button ?
I use Windows XP SP3 FRENCH and all the installtion went without any problems everything else is working perfectly.
I checked in the install program if I need to install the help system separately and didn't see anything.
Any ideas of what's goint on ?

Are you able to manually open the help file? Go to C:\Porgram files\National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite 13, the Multisim.chm file is the help file, double click on it and see if it will launch. If you the file opens and nothing is displayed, google 'unable to open .chm" file, there are lots of instructions how to fix it, here is an example:

National Instruments

HP updated my BIOS and now the sound system doesn't work on Dv76012Tx.

HP Care / Support Assistant requested to update my BIOS, which I did. Computer restarted a couple of times then I found my sound system doesn't work. My computer is Dv7-6012Tx and it is just a week old. I now get no sound, and it had been working beautifully.
Please reset my BIOS back to how it was.

Had the same problem as of about 30 minutes ago. New BIOS update, sound doesn't work. Drivers all read as up-to-date. What the hell?

Transport to consolidation system

Hi ,
A scenario, where multiple developers have worked on multiple DCs. If, we want to release only 3 Dcs (1 Dc + 2 used Dcs) into a consolidation system, we are faced with a very peculiar problem.
The developers have worked with no naming conventions on large number of Dcs. And, now we want to transport only 3 Dcs from them to the Consolidation system.
The approach we are taking is: Synch the latest copy of these 3 DCs from active space, using NWDS open all possible files for edit, associate them with new activity name. (No modifications are done on these files). Check it in again, activate , release this activity from the Transport View of the NWDS.
If in the CMS - Transport Studio, we import only this activity in the Import queue to the Consolidation system, will these 3 DCs get imported Consolidation system?
Or, should we go into all the developer's NWDS, open all checked in activity from the Transport Studio of NWDS, identify all activities related to these 3 Dcs , release them individually and then go to CMS - Transport Studio and import all these activities into the consolidation system to get these 3 Dcs into the consolidation system.
Which approach will work?

1. Will the 3 dcs get imported only if all activities (1st to last) related to them are released from NWDS Transport studio and then Imported from CMS - Transport Studio ?
2. Will single activity in the end which has opened all files for edit, work???

I do know that for ACTIVATION (after checkin), if the current activity has predecessor activities, then they will tagged along with this last activity, for the Activation process.
Is this the same case for Activities Transport Release as well (In NWDS-Transport View)?
So, In NWDS, Transport View under Waiting section, when my last checked out for Edit Activity, which has been activated already, and is awaiting release, is Released, all predecessor activities (which has been activated & awaiting release as well) will get associated automatically???
Therefore,
1. I do not have to ask all developers to go open their NWDS-Transport View and hunt for activities pertaining to the DCs to be released.And, then ask them to release it? RIGHT?
2. All I need to do is to release the last activity under Waiting and the rest of all activities by other developers will get automatically attached??? RIGHT?

Transport to consolidation system doesnot reflect in components

Hi There,
We have configured a separate Consolidation system for our WebDynpro developments. and we are using TCS for deployment. After import to consolidation system and TCS deployment , changes are not reflecting in Consolidation system.
We defined new track and its components and after initial imports we got development configuration in Development studio and made changes.
Thereafter we have followed these steps
1) We released and transported all our changes from Webdynpro Studio.
2) started Import on Consolidation tab and all components were successfully imported.
3) started TCS deployer for selected track_c and that also completed, without any error messages
4) test in consolidation system shows webdynpro changes have not been moved.
This is first round of imports on this track, if there is anything we might have missed out.
Please suggest.

Delta in source system doesn't work

I've created delta-enabled generic datasource. The delta field is timestamp field. I've done Initial Delta run, posted couple new records with appropriate timestamps, tried to run delta but it doesn't work. Even on test delta run RSA3 in source system.

The iPad's hardware system doesn't work.

I have an iPad 2, which won in 2013 and today the hardware operating system this product is fail, as the screen freezes, it turns on and off alone, applications open and close alone. In 2014 and now the screen is just flashing with lime-green color, which does not allow display the menu or settings and neither Homepage and often shutting alone and can not reconnect the unit, by simply not ascend the operating system so effective.
I took the product back to the company OMNI Computer Apple Support Brazil in Curitiba -PR, and this gave the report that my warranty is quenched to receive a new product and that I receive a new iPad 2 I should pay the amount of R$ 990.00. However , the problem that clomplaint is not collateral or other , but that the Apple operating system does not work.
I contacted Apple support over the phone and was told that at the time he took to OMNI iPad, I still had 38 days of warranty.
Besides Apple and OMNI violate the Code of Consumer Protection , targeted to abuse my rights , ratify the information cited , I have had to date many annoyances, such as stress, mornings and weekends lost without resolutions .
Have I contacted the phone to Apple support again and many records there own links, ordered procedures to remedy this situation , the items were scored for solution : take the iPad for Assistance and restore it .
I performed the two steps, but nothing concrete had company OMNI and Apple, nor a constructive feedfack and that could solve everything without the need for other means of resolving facts .

Please just ask a question, we don't need a story about the history of the device. Explain the symptoms and maybe someone can help.
Based upon what I can understand from your post, try the standard troubleshooting...
1. Remove apps from the Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
2. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
3. Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
4. Restore with your backup.
5. Restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it. You may need to try DFU mode (Google for it).
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

Transport Queries with RSAQR3TR doesn't work

Hi,
I'm tryinf to transport changes made to query from dev to prod. In SQ02 I tried using the transport-button, but it gives me no options for Exporting or downloading only to copy from standard to global area and vice versa.
I tried calling the report RSAQR3TR directly, here I have all options, but when I'm choosing the option "Export" and specify the desired query, I get the message that nothing matching my selection has been found.
Any idea, why I can't transport queries? Does this depend on the standard/global area? If so: where can I change this?

All query objects (queries, functional areas, user groups) are created client-independent in the global work area of the query.These objects are therefore displayed in all clients of a system and can be used by all clients. In addition, the objects of this work area have a connection to the workbench organizer, so that changing and transporting of such objects is organized according to common procedures for workbench objects.
In contrast to this, query objects are client-specific in the standard area and have no connection to the workbench organizer. The transport of these type of objects must be organized using a special utilities function (Environment -> Transports function in Transaction SQ02).
Further information on this topic can be found in <a href="https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_FRAME=CONTAINER&_OBJECT=011000358700007427742001">Note 412054</a>. Mainly this note describes transporting query variants but in the section on "Transporting Queries" it mentions, "A detailed description of the procedure for transporting queries, including variants, is provided in the section 'Transport query objects' of the query guide."

Re-replicate data source in QAS system doesn't work

I've transported extract. structures from DEV ECC to QAS ECC and done data source replications on BI side.
After that I done some changes (added several fields) on extraction structure CUSTOMER_ATTR on ECC side in dev env. and transported it to QAS ECC. Then I replicate CUSTOMER_ATTR on BI QAS nothing happens. It remains with the same field list.
My QAS system is read-only. How can I re-replicate this CUSTOMER_ATTR to get new added fields?

Datasource, extract structure and append structure(if any) not transported properly.
Try to collect again and retransport and replicate.
Check at RSA3 in QA system, now fields are visible or not.

CS4 Bridge Star sorting system doesn't work

I have been using Photoshop and Bridge for years, but just started using Bridge in CS4 (Windows XP Pro). The sorting system where Bridge will display only those images with a specified number of stars simply does not work. I have never had this problem before, on any machine and with any version before CS4. (In other words, I know hot shi works because I've used it in CS2 and CS3, but it simply does absolutely nothing in my Bridge CS4!) Any recommendations?

I know it's curious why I'm just getting to his now. I have had the software installed for a long time. I just haven't used it.
I have been using Photoshop since PS 7, and this is a registered upgrade that I've had for quite a while. But I am slow in converting, and I have still been using CS2 up until recently. (I have some routines and actions built into CS2 that I'm not good at re-building or converting into a new version.

Audio/MIDI setup ok, but 5.1 system doesn't work afterwards!

Hi I'm pretty hopeless, since I searched the whole web for a solution to my problem and haven't found a clue yet. I have a Creative 5.1 sound system and have connected it via an external sound card to my MacBook. I have been setting up the audio prefrences and configurated the speakers. The test went all fine! But when I put in a DVD or turn on iTunes, only my two front speakers will work! I have no optical output, so I can't really use a toslink cable (can't I?) I really need a good advice please!

BC System doesn't work

In the last 3-4 weeks I had a lots of problems when working on BC websites. Most of them are from Australia Data Center. The system loads very slow and some times it freezes showing the loading icon. This happens when I try to create/update pages,catalogs, menu items, forms... Some times I have the feeling that it block in some kind of loop - for example I try to create a catalog, I'm 100% sure that the url is unique, there is no other page with that url in the system and I get the error: "URL must be unique within the site..." . Then I go to view all Catalogs and this catalog for which I got the error it's there, it has been created.It looks that it tries to create the catalog again and again and again... I also get a System Message - Error occured, code 0...
I don't know what is wrong, is it just me having these problems? I am very frustrated because I can't work, I can't do my job... it takes me a lot of time to do simple updates.

Agreeded!! I am seeing lots of issues cropping up in the last 2 or 3 weeks that have never been an issue before. And yes painfully slow in many areas.

How to report the Bug report system doesn't work?

After eagerly downloading and trying Flash CS6, one glaring bug hit me.
I'd tried to report it, in some detail, but I get a replay from a [email protected] that informs me my feedback cannot, and will not be delivered.
Can someone look at that?
The "bug" in Flash, if you'r interested, is that the compile time is so long that it is unusable.
While FlashDevelop compiles a project in under 2 seconds, the same project in Flash CS6, takes upto 5 MINUTES, while the interface hangs and says "Not Responding".
That means I would spend more time waiting than actually developing some days.

Is the complete query overwritten once it is transported to another system?

Hi,
I had developed a query with some variables on the infoset. This has been transported to the production system.
But due to some requirement change the infoset was impacted due to the changes made in the ODS. (on which the infoset was created).
So the infoobjects technical names of ODS in the Infoset had changed. (F1 to F11....). Due to this the variables which were built on this infoobjects after the change are showing up under different infoobjects after technical name change.
Now to solve the issue, if i delete the variables and create under their respective infoobjects and transport to production system, will this work? Will the varaibles which were already transported to production system deleted automatically after the query is again transported to the production system?

Hi Rani,
Make sure u include the deletion change in the transport.
when u delete the variable it will ask for trnasport.
and also to ensure all ur changes are in the transport go to transport connection in RSA1. In that ->object types->query element->find ur query and trasnfer it.
make the grouping as 'only necessary objects'.
it will give u the list make sure it is all present in ur transport.
u can see the transport number in the rightmost window.
If u see all are not included tick and use the 'transport' -truck icon on topic.click on that and assign the transport.
