Transportation calendar

We have a vendor V and location L setup in a transportation lane for product P. In mean of transport, we defined a time stream id as transportation calendar. The time stream id has only Monday in it.
Now my problem is that we are getting orders that other than Monday.
Is there a setting somewhere that overwrites the time stream id?
There is also no calendar setup in vendor master.

Hi,
      Thanks for the reply. We don't have any setup in vendor or receiving location. The reason being there are products that need to be delivered only on Mondays and also products that need to be delivered on other days as well. So we defined a Transportation lane with these materials and in the means of transport, we assigned the time stream id in transportation calendar.
Strangely, there are about 10 materials in that transportation lane. Only for few materials, the Purchase requisitions and POs are being created on days other than Mondays. I can see that in the product view RRP3. The rest of them are good.
I am wondering why this is happening.

  • Transportation Calendar depends on route - how can this be configured?

    APO GATP - Transportation and Shipment Scheduling
    Hello,
    how can a transportation calendar - depending on the route - be considered?
    When we change the route (e.g. in VA02 sales order change) and trigger an ATP check the correct transit time (TRAN) is considered. (Because we set up different lead times (TRAN) depending on the route in the condition technique.)
    But the transportation calendar is maintained in the transportation lane (delivering location -> transportation zone (of the ship-to)).
    Only one t-calendar can be assignd.
    How could another t-canlendar (depending on a route) be considered?

  • Does the SNP optimizer takes into account transportation calendars (time streams)?

    Hello,
    We're trying to limit the days when a transportation lane can be used by including a transportation calendar(time stream) to the means of transport. The receipt days on certain locations, depend on the source-target location relationship so we don't want to do this through shipping/Receipt calendars at the location Level (/SAPAPO/LOC3).
    Example:
    Source A - Target X     Receipt days ( Monday-Tuesday)
    Source A - Target Y     Receipt days (Friday-Sunday)
    Source B - Target X     Receipt days ( Monday-Wednesday)
    Source B - Target Y     Receipt days (Thursday-Friday-Saturday)
    We've tried this in an heuristic scenario, and it works. But when we run the optimizer, it doesn't seems to take into account the transportation calendars; it just creates distribution orders every day depending on the demand at the target location.
    Does anyone knows if the optimizer run should consider transportation calendars, or this functionality is only for heuristics and/or CTM?
    Is there another recommended way to model it?

    Hello Ada,
    As you said, the calendar of the transportation resource overrules the transportation calendar (time stream)
    I tested after removing the transportation resourced and it now uses the transportation calendar.
    However, if a transportation lane has a lead time greater than 24 hours, we need that the system only ships on a specific day from the location source and receives the goods on the next day at the target location.
    For this example,
    Source A -  Target B;  Lead time (48 hours)
    Shipping is allowed on Monday – Receipts should be on Thursday
    if we set Monday through Thursday as working days or periods in any of both types of calendars (resource or time stream) at the means of transport, the system will plan shipments every day from Monday to Thursday, instead of only shipping on Mondays.
    Do you know if its possible to have the behavior mentioned above (shipments on Mondays, receipts on Thursdays)?
    Best regards

  • Different transportation calendar in a transportation lane?

    The transportation calendar in the transportation lane is considered when an ATP check is done in APO (e.g. for a sales order).
    Is it possible that more than one transportation calendar (depending on different criteria, e.g. shipping point, shipping condition) can be assigned to a transportation lane?

    Hi ael9999,
    As of std functionality of maintaining this, only one calendar can be assigned.
    For location specific calendar, you can assign warehouse calendar on
    transaction /sapapo/loc3 under calendar tab.
    You can try out the below BADIs
    /SCMB/BIF_LDM_TRL002QR of enhancement spot /SCMB/BIF_LDM_TRL
    /SCMB/BIF_LDM_TRL001QR of enhancement spot /SCMB/BIF_LDM_TRL

  • Can the route consider the transportation calendar in APO?

    Hi GATP experts,
    the transportation calendar is normally part of the transportation lane.
    Is it also possible to assign the transportation calendar to the route?
    Thanks for help.

    No it is not possible.
    Development is necessary.

    Hi,
    Warm Greetings,
    How to Transport Factory calender to Production, transaction code used (SCAL) . As changes are been made in Development to factory calendar year as 2010 Workbench request  can be seen in se10)
    But dont know how to process to quality, & production
    Badly in need of solution
    regards & thank u shamulheq

    Changes to calendar data are not automatically included in a correction request.
    For the calendar data to be utilizable in another system, use the function Transport in the initial screen of the maintenance transaction.
    Note that you cannot transport individual public holidays or calendars. You can only transport calendar data in its entirety. When you do this, all public holidays, public holiday and factory calendars existing in the target system are deleted.

  • Transportation time using condition technique!!

    Hi All,
    Can anyone tell how transportation time is calculated using condition technique (APO)?  we have defined following in access sequence for scheduling
    Plant
    Destination country
    Spd trans. zone
    Shipping Conditions
    Weight group
    Factory Calendar ID
    Now if no transportation lane is defined between plant A and ship to party B. Then how system is going to calculate the delivery date? where do we define transportation time between A and B or how it is getting calculated?

    HI,
    You can define a specific transporation duration in the condition technique per chracteristic (e.g. Shipto, plant, etc.).
    Create new condtion records via TA /sapCND/AU11. Create a entry for TRAN and choose a access sequence. There you define a duration e.g. for a ship-to, etc.
    Three options to find a transporation duration:
    1. Directly from the transportation lane  (TA /SAPAPO/SCC_TL1)
    2. Estimated by the system if the transporation lane does not contain any duration (except if the Fix-Duration Indicator was set, note 1464309)
    (The system calculates the transportation time based on the distance between the start and destination location and the average speed of the means of transport used.)
    3. from the contion technique (TA /SAPCND/AU11)
    (A Transportation calendar can be defined just via scheduling userexit 002 for the condition technique.)

  • Notes to be implemenented after Factory and holiday calendar are extended.

    Hi All,
    Since most of SAP Factory and Holiday Calendar used had Validity date that ends on 12/31/2010 we have extended them till 2020.
    This was done manually using SAP note 1529469 and 501670.
    We have also implemented SAP Note 1532398 to avoid jobs going to dump that are running to deleted old spool request in SAP.
    We would like to know if there are any other note to be implemented in our SAP production system as a part of year end activity related to Factory and holiday Calendar.
    We could find the below note under 1532398
    1534735 - Job terminates with error message BT 518
    1532398 - Spool requests are no longer deleted as of beginning of year
    574628 - Change calendar dates in production system
    538344 - Transporting calendar dates
    501670 - Public Holiday Calendar Creation/Change
    1529649 - Factory Calendar expires 2010
    Thanks

    Hi
    I suppose the notes 1529649 - Factory Calendar expires 2010 and 501670 - Public Holiday Calendar Creation/Change are sufficient for the extensions.
    I don't any extra tasks are involved during the year end activity as far as factory / holiday calendar is concerned.

  • How to maintain a Factory Calendar from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 ?

    Hi,
    Any idea how to maintain a Factory Calendar of 4.6C
    in ECC 6.0 ?
    Edited by: Murtaza Dharsi on Feb 18, 2008 5:28 PM

    Hello Wolfgang,
    Thank you for your response.
    I am aware of the transaction SCAL.
    Could you please share your experience that transporting Calendar entries from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 is quite risky ?
    Is the least effort in keying in the entries into ECC 6.0 manually ?
    Thanks & Regards

  • How to transaport the calendar from DEV to Prod in sap?

    Hi,
    We are trying to transport the Holiday Calendar from Golden client to Production but when we are generating a request number system comes up with the message
    "All public holidays, public holiday and factory calendars
    will be transported. All public holidays, public
    holiday and factory calendars will first be deleted
    in the target system."
    Please tell me how to transport step wise.
    It is very urgent, I have checked other sites but nothing I have sound as such.
    Please suggest..
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Nitin

    Dear Nitin,
    Do not worry- this message is normal. Create a request as always. The tricky part is that in the meantime, between deletion and update, if somebody creates say sales order you might encounter issues. We usually transport calendars late at night, when no dialog user is in.

    Milen.

  • Transport for SCAL 'factory calender' or administer SCAL in prod system?

    Hi togehther,
    we could change the factory calender in the development system and afterwords transport this changes by using a transport request and STMS.
    But our Consultants recommend not to transport these changes. They recommend to open the prod System with SCC4 to open status (Changes are allowed) and then make the changes in the prod system.
    I think, this is the wrong way. How do you solve this probem?
    Carsten Schulz
    Teamlead SAP-Basis

    Hi ,
    You are consultants are right because SAP clear tells that "You cannot transport individual public holidays or calendars. You can only transport calendar data in its entirety. When you do this, all public holidays, public holiday and factory calendars existing in the target system are deleted".
    As from your mail i understood that in development system,all users have access to to SCAL transaction,if some users have craeted or changed the factory calendar changes.all this changes get in to trnsport request which in turn affect the calendars in production system.
    Thats Y in some industries,Consultants will do the changes through fire fighter ID directly in production or in some industries for development system SCAL authorization will not be given to all.so that as Juregn pointed development and production system will be in SYnc and you can do transport.
    In this situation you can try one more option,after generating the transport request go to SE01 ,go to change mode and edit the request (double click on the request).
    then go to obects tab you will see lot of tables related to factory calendar.check each tables in SE16 for the calendar you made the changes.if entries are there retain the table else delete the table.
    If entries are there,then double click on the table,you will get the table key.in that put calendar id if there is only one entry,if more entries are ther e put calendar id suffix star.and save.
    Check this solution first intest system and ensure whether it is trnsaporting only the particular changes

    Please take a look on the following note that describes the pre-requisites to transport a factory calendar:
    538344 - Transporting calendar dates
    Also consider the following points:
    The calendar can only be transported as a whole.
    The calendar transports work according to the motto: all or nothing.
    I.e. no keys are specified in the transport and the whole content of the tables is transported.
    It is not possible to select single calendars for transport.
    For all above reasons, when transporting the calendar, all existing entries in the target system will be overwritten.

  • Factory calender transport

    How to transport factory calender to PRD system from DEV.

    Hi,
    Go to SCAL transaction
    Choose the function Calendar -> Transport, in the holiday and factory calendar initial screen to copy all the holiday and factory calendar data into a request.
    Please pay attention to the information which you get when transporting the holiday and factory calendar
    Transporting of Factory Calendar:
    u2022 Changes to calendar data are not automatically included in a correction request.
    Note: You cannot transport individual public holidays or calendars. You can only transport calendar data in its entirety. When you do this, all public holidays, public holiday and factory calendars existing in the target system are deleted.
    u2022 All changes made to the holiday or factory calendar must be transported manually. The holiday and factory calendars' own transport connection should be used.
    Hope it helps

  • How can we model different receipt days in a location depending on the start-destination relationship in an optimizer run in SNP?

    We have a business scenario where the receipt days for a location depends on the relationship between the Start-Destination Location. We need to include this constraint in an optimizer run with daily buckets.
    Example:
    Factory A (Start Location) ships to DC X (destination location) only on Mondays, with a lead time of 2 days. DC X should receive the stock from Factory A on Wednesday
    Factory B (Start Location) ships to DC X (destination location) only on Thursdays, with a lead time of 1 day. DC X should receive the stock from Factory B on Saturday
    Does anyone has been able to model this scenario?
    I tried using transportation calendars(time stream) in the means of transport, having undesired results:
    a) Transportation Lane A-X. Calendar 1A, only Monday is available
    The system creates stock transfers on Monday on Week 1 and ends on Monday of Week 3.
    b) Transportation Lane A-X. Calendar 2A, Monday and Wednesday are available
    The system creates stock transfers on Monday and Wednesday on Week 1:
          The stock transfer that starts on Monday-Week 1 ends on Monday-Week 2.
          The stock transfer that starts on Wednesday-Week 1 ends on Wednesday-Week 2.
    c) Transportation Lane A-X. Calendar 3A, Monday Tuesday and Wednesday are available
    The system creates stock transfers on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on Week 1.
         The stock transfer that starts on Monday-Week 1 ends on Wednesday-Week 1. (this is actually what I need)
         The stock transfer that starts on Tuesday-Week 1 ends on Monday-Week 2.
         The stock transfer that starts on Wednesday-Week 1 ends on Tuesday-Week 2.
    Regards

    you really don't need to post all that code, few people will read it, or try to compile/run it.
    just a tree in a scrollpane in a frame is all you need, then add the method/problem to the basic,
    and post that so its only 20 to 30 lines long.
    here's your basic tree/scrollpane/frame, with an expandAll()
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    class Testing
      public void buildGUI()
        JTree tree = new JTree();
        expandAll(tree);
        JFrame f = new JFrame();
        f.getContentPane().add(new JScrollPane(tree));
        f.pack();
        f.setLocationRelativeTo(null);
        f.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
        f.setVisible(true);
      public void expandAll(JTree tree)
        int row = 0;
        while (row < tree.getRowCount())
          tree.expandRow(row);
          row++;
      public static void main(String[] args)
        SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable(){
          public void run(){
            new Testing().buildGUI();
    }so, is your problem with the expandAll(), or with reading the properties file?
