Transportation Group and Shipping condition fields in Route determination

Hello Guys,
Please, I heard that if I leave Transportation Group and Shipping conditions field empty Route determination would consider whatever value I put in Material/Custumer Master.
But the determination just happen if I put the exact value in either the determination and the Material Master for Transportation Group field for example.
Have you ever determined Routes leaving the fields empty?
Thank you,
Regards,

Hi,
Those fields Transportation Group and Shipping conditions available in Route Determination are essential to trigger the correct route in Sales Order level.
If blank the available routes need to be picked manually at Sales Order level.
Kindly check .

  • Transport planning and shipping condition

What is the meaning of transport planning and shipping condition,
    Please explani

    <b>Shipping Conditions (VSBED):</b>
General shipping strategy for the delivery of goods from the vendor to the customer.
You can define shipping conditions in your system which corresponds to the requirements of your company. You can specify a shipping condition in the customer master and in the vendor master.
The loading group, the plant and the shipping condition determine the shipping point that will be proposed by the system.
Apart from the country and the geographical region of the shipping point, the ship-to party and the transportation group, the shipping condition determines the route that the system proposes in the order for the delivery of the goods. In the delivery, the route proposal also takes the weight group into account.
    <b>Transportation Planning:</b>
Transportation Planning is part of the Transportation Planning/Vehicle Scheduling (TP/VS) application and is used for medium to long-term planning. It enables the transportation planner to optimally distribute the available capacities for trucks, trains, ships, and planes. The aim of Transportation Planning is to load capacities in the most efficient way and reduce costs. Most customers currently rely entirely on external shipping companies to carry out an optimal transportation of goods, which means that punctual and cost-effective deliveries are a high priority.

  • How to: Make Shipping Condition field required in Tx. VT01N

Hi everyone. I need to make the Shipping Condition field required in the transsaction VT01N Create Shipment.
I don't know how to do this, can somebody help me with this issue???
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Chemo,
As far i undestand, you want to calculate freigth cost using transportation.
To do this, you need to do some settings at that point to achieve that, please follow the link to configuration guide:
    http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/en/data/pdf/LETRA/SDTRA.pdf
On functional side (after configuration), you´ll need to create the shippment cost document on VI01 transaction, there you can see all the cost associated to Shipping.
After that transfer it to MM using T-code VI02, its needed.
    I Hope this help you,

    Dear Gurus,
    1. PO is created and the ex-factory date in PO is 19th Dec 2010 and

  • Route Determination on Distance

    Hi Gurus,
I want to determine the route on distance based i.e route should be determine on nearest distance i.e Kilometer based. Can we add Distance as creteria for route determination.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Mahi

I dont think it is possible to determine route basing on distance. Bcs route determination is done basing on shipping point, destination zone, transportation group n shipping condition , wieght group (optional). But u can maintain unit of measure distance as kilometers in

  • How to Configuring Groups and Transport Targets ?

    Hi Experts,
In my scenario i am having two XI Servers XI1(DEV) and XI2(QUA) each system is connected to different r/3 system.
If i transport object from XI1(DEV) to XI2(QUA) after defining Transport Target in XI1(DEV) as r/3 system connected to XI2(QUA) using file system would be fine (or) should i go for CTS?
    Regards,
    RajeshKumar.D

    Hi,
You have to use Transpoprt method
    Procedure:
    1) Call Integration Builder screen on DEV Server with http://hostname:J2ee Port/rep
    2) Call SLD (System Landscape Directory) Component from the Integration builder
Save all the .zip files on the Local Desktop
    3) Select the Software Component & say Export that you want to Export from DEV
Server to Production server and which is going to use in the IR of XI
    4) Also Select the Product of the above SWC and say Export
    5) Select the Technical Systems (TS of XI & TS of the SAP R/3) and say Export
    6) Select the Business System(s) & say Export; those are associated with above Exported
    Technical systems.
    In Production Server
    1) Logon to the SLD of the Production Server.
    2) Create a Technical System and Business system which points to the Production SAP R/3
    3) Go to Administration TAB in the main page of SLD
    4) Select the Import option to Import the SWC , PRD, TS,& BS which we Exported Earlier in DEV Server
    5) Click on Browse and select the .zip files that is to Import into Production Server,
Which were stored on the local desktop at the time of DEV Server Export
And say Import Selected File Option
By this we exported and imported the SLD Objects
Now we have to create transport groups and transport targets in the Production server of SLD
    Creation of Transport Groups
    1) Select the Business systems GroupEdit Groups
    2) Click on New Group and give the name of the group as DEV_group & select the
    Corresponding Development serveru2019s integration Server
    3) Similar way create another group for Production serveru2019s business system as
PRD_group and select the Production serveru2019s integration Server
    Creation of transport targets
This is to Define which business systems in two different groups correspond to each other
    1) Select each Business system in the SLD and select transport TAB---click on
Add/Change Target and select its corresponding target business system.
    For Example:
If you select the business system of Production XI server means
In the target you have to select group as DEVGROUP and the business system of Development XI server.
Like this do the same for other business systems also
    Ex:
    BS_PRD_Integration Server----
    BS_DEV_Inetration Server

  • Route Determination and allowed substitutions

Can anyone please help with the following issue.
I need to make changes in config so that a customer can receive a delivery on a different route than originally on the delivery.
i.e. customer x has an order with route a. The LSP shippes the order but changes the route to b or c.
How do I make the changes in config for a specific customer or Sales organisation to allow more than one route.
    Thanks

    Hi,
The system can propose route automatically via customizing. If alternative values are defined for your system you can change route manually in the delivery. It also  depends on weight group(if product unit is weight) and configuration of delivery type(T-code-OVLK) for redetermination of route.
    Route determination:
Departure zone of shipping pointShipping conditionTransportation Group+Transportation Zone of ship-to-party.
If you change any one of the above four criteria Route changes.
LE-Shipping-Basic shipping function-Routes-Route determination- Select Departure zone and receiving(destination) zone   and Double click on the folder on Left hand corner (Route dete.with weight group or without weight group).
Maintain all required Shipping conditions, transportation group and actual route.
If you maintain these entries,it will allow you to change route manually in the delivery.(You need to hit F4 to display all possible routes).
2)If transportation zone of the customer is changed then you need to create another ship-to-party record for this customer.
    Thanks,

  • Reg Copying of Shito Shipping Condition in a Sale Order

In the cusomer master for a Sold to there will be different Ship To say "A" Sold To has c,d,e Ship to and also A itself is the sold to as well and sipping condition maintained for Sold To is "1" when you create a slae order with Sold to and Ship to being "A" the shipping condition will be picked as "1" fine.
But for 'B,C&E" different Condtions willbe maintained as "1,2 &3" respectivel as a seperate customer master with Ship To Account Group as Ship To account so now when you create a Sale Order with Sold to as "A" and Ship To as "B" the shipping condition is selected as "1" from Sold To Customer Master this is as per SAP standard but when we want to make in such away that Shipping Condition need to be selected from the Ship To of "B" (ie) "2" how do we handle this.

As you said, Shipping conditions will pick form Sold party only in standard, But if you want to pick form Ship to party then you have to try with User Exit only there is no standard for this., and Shipping conditions from sales document is the first priority than the sold to customer so remove from Sales Document and check with User Exit with the help of ABAPer (Include - MV45AFZZ)
Check the below notes and in forum to get more details
Note 208009 - Shipping condition from sold-to party
Note 7670 - Which fields come from which partners (order)

  • Rev account determ based on customer account assign group of ship to party

    Hi
In our company revenue account gets determined based on Sales org/cust acc assignment group / mat acc assignment grp / Dest Cntry / ActKy (VKOA table 502) . Customer account assignment group and Dest country are from sold to party customer account assignment group.
Our client wants these to come from ship to party rather on sold to party, I checked fields and tables in SPRO-> sales & dist  How can we achieve this?
    Thanks,
    Vaishnavi

    Hello,
As per my knowledge, the Dest country, Shipping Address & other shipping related data are determine from SH-Ship to party.
Whereas, pricing & shipping condition related data are determines from Sold to Party.
To add 501-Sales org/cust acc assignment group / mat acc assignment grp / Dest Cntry / ActKy for your VKOA is not a standard table. check the same using tcode in V/14.
Thus, I like to conclude by stating that the Destination country is actually is determined from Ship to Party, not Sold to Party and the table suggest/maintain is the best solution to your customer requirement.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Shipping condition query

    Hi
I have a question regarding shipping condition. This shipping condiion field is fetched from sold to party or from order type(if assignment is there with order type). If assignment with order type is there then this will take precedence over sold to party. However this same field (shipping condition)is given in ship to party account group too, so my question is what is the significance of this shipping condition field in ship to party account group? I had replicated a scenario where I removed the mandatory field shipping condition was made optional in sold to party account group and at the same time did not made any assignment with order type, I maintained the shipping condition with ship to party and did not maintain the shipping cond with sold to party. Once i created the order the order showed incompletion and no shipping data was determined(i.e. I could not save the order), so my question is even though shipping condition was maintained in ship to party then why did not it flow in the sales order and what is the significance of this field in ship to party?

    Hi Abhishek
"Shipping condition " first system searches from the "Sales document type"  and if not found then only it takes from the customer master fo "Sold-to-party".
Though Shipping condition is there in the customer master of SH , but it is not considered.
In "Standard order (OR)", you will not find any "Shipping condition". I mean Shipping condition field is blank.
So whenever, you create a Standard order, system takes the Shipping condition from the Sold-to-party only.
But, if will go for "Cash Sale" i.e, CS, you will find Shipping condition "Immediately (10)".
Moreover in Cas Sale, you do not have customer master data of the Sold-to-party with you, so where from system will get the "Shipping condition".
Whereas "Shipping condition" is a mandatory data otherwise Shipping point can not be determined and you can not deliver also.
Therefore, in "Cash Sale" Shipping condition is taken from the "Sales docuiment type", whereas in "Standard order" Shipping condition is taken fronm the Sold-to-party.
One more thing, try to understand the field Shipping condition. If you will go to the drop down , you will find Shipping condition like "As soon as possible" , "Immedaitely" etc.
Who tells you when order is placed? You think yourself as an end user and say.
    Obviously, Sold-to-party tells you.
Similary, Price also you negotiate with the SP, that is why, Shipping condition, Price etc are taken from Sold-to-party.
Similarly, Delivery address, Plant etc normally taken from SH .
Similarly, Payment term,Credit limit etc taken from the PAYER, though you may find these fields in the master data of SP  and SH  also.

  • Mandatory Shipping Condition

In SAP CRM 5.0 Shipping condition (field group 1126) is marked as a required field.
It is also excluded from customising.
If I use VCT to remove the tab with this field on, it still shows an error becasue this mandatory field is required even though it does not exist on the screen.
I have put the tabe back in VCT then I have tried making field group 1126 as a not required field, plus including it in customising and marking it as 'hide' through field grioupings.
Finally I have regenerated the screens but still have the same problem.
The field is not hidden and it is still a required entry.
How can I get round this problem?
    Thanks
    David

    Hi David,
Try to make the Shipping conditions optional entry for the Ship to Party Role using the following path IMG> Cross Application Components> SAP Business Partner> Basic Settings> Field Groupings--> Configure Field Attributes per BP Role
    Hope this helps.

  • Shipping Condition Change in Delivery

    Hello,
Can forum members tell me if I could change the shipping conditions in the delivery? I know there are couple of OSS Notes available which can be applied to activate the shipping condition field but I do not want to do that. My requirement is that I want to activate the shipping condition field which is in the shipment tab of delivery header. There should be no link of this field with Shipping Point or Route. Please let me know if there is any user exit available where we can write something to activate the field.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    bst rgds
    Rajeev

    Hi
You cannot edit the shipping condition in the delivery as it is coped from the preceding document which is sales order.
When you do an F1 help on the shipping condition tab, this is the info you get:
If a shipping condition has been assigned to a sales document type in Customizing, this condition will be proposed by the system in the corresponding sales document. If there is no assignment, the system copies the relevant data from the corresponding customer master record of the sold-to party. You cannot change this value during delivery processing. The shipping condition will not be copied from the delivery into the shipment. The shipping condition is one of several criteria for selecting deliveries when you create a shipment. You can enter a shipping condition manually in the shipment where it only serves as a characteristic for grouping shipments.

  • How to Create groups and targets....

    Hi guys,
Here is a chance of getting some easy points
I know that it may seem a dumb question but I can't find out how to create a transport group and a transport target....
I've read help.sap and some other threads related to the subject but all I was able to get was:
    help.SAP.com
    "Procedure
    Defining Groups of Business Systems
Define groups of business systems for different areas of use (for example, testing and production) and assign an Integration Server to each group.
           1.      On the initial screen of the SLD, choose Business Landscape.
           2.      From the dropdown list box for the input field Groups, choose Edit Groups…. "
Well I can't find where is the dropdown list....:S
I'm using SP10 and all I have in the SLD are 3 options:
    1.Technical Systems
View and Define Systems and Servers
    2. Landscapes
View and Configure Groups of Systems
    3. Business Systems
View and Configure Business Systems for Use in Exchange Infrastructure (XI)
If I choose "Landscapes", the only thing I'm able to do is to create a landscape from a specific type (Adminitration, General, Transports, NWDI systems, etc....)
If I create a landscape with the type 'Transports" and then associate a technical System, I thought that in my Business System I would be able to choose this lanscape....
But The only thing I have is group and transport target and they're completely empty, showing "No additional groups available" and "No targets"...
Can anyone help me and get some easy rewarding points?

    Hi Chirag,
I've read the following link, but the question is....
    - Where is the link to create transport groups? That is my only question It's as easy as that
Found it...sorry I knew it was easy
