Transportation of deleted objects

Hello All,
some unnecessary Queries and workbooks are transported to Test system and then to Production.Instead of deleting them manually in each system,i think we can delete them in development and write to transport request and then transport it to test and production systems..
can anybody let me know the procedure?
Bye.

Hi Rakesh,
Normally you can use RSZDELETE for deleting queries and other reporting objects in Dev Also. If such a object was already transported before, you will automatically get a transport request for the deleted object. There is no need to goto the transport connection for that. After releasing and tranporting the request, the objects will automatically be deleted in the target systems.
If you clear your open bex request and then do the deletions that you want to do, the only things in your bex request will be the queries to delete. If it is collecting other objects that you don't want to transport, you can manually remove those objects from your transport.
Hope this helps,
Sudhakar.

  • Transport Request - Delete Object

    Dear Expert,
I have a problem with two transformation in Quatility System, I don't have authorization to delete in the Quatily System. I have deleted in the develoment syste but I have lost the transport request with this taks for to do this. How can I recover the taks in Development System and create a new transport request to delete two transformation in the Quality System.
    Thanks for your time,
    Luis

    Dear Alexander,
Thank for your suggestion, but both transformations doesn't excite in the source system (Dev). The cases is I delete both transformation in the Dev system a lost the transport with delete action to Quality System, and I can't recover these object. The other solution was created again with the same technical name isn't possible because they are transformation object, and you canu2019t set up the technical name.
    I really appreciate your suggestion,

  • How to determine deleted objects in a transport

    Hi
I create a new report Z_TEST_1 and assign this one to a new transport request.
Now I rename this report to Z_TEST_1B
In my transport are two entries:
    -Z_TEST_1
    -Z_TEST_2
Now I read this objects with function module TR_READ_COMM
Afterwards I want to analyse the objects of this transport
But how can I see which objects exists and which not?
I only need the (still) existing objects (in my test case: Z_TEST_2)
I don't want to check every single object if this object still exists. I know I could check the entry in table TRDIR (for reports).
But there are a lot more object kinds in my transport (function modules, dictionary objects, forms, table keys)....
Does anyone have a simple solution for this problem?
    Thanks
    Andy

    Hello There.
SE03 is for finding the existing objects according to your first question (for function modules, reports, etc).
As your object is not imported or transported.
You need to find your deleted objects in Transaction SE95.
    In the window beneath,
    1. Go to window, Reset Objects.
    2. Check the deleted objects.
    3. You can also mention your request or package.
    4. Execute.
    5. Go to Deleted objects node.
    6. Navigate to the node desired.
    7. You can also find the request related to that business object by clicking on find requests.
    These are the logs.
If you have already tried out then its good or else give feedback.
    Good Luck & Regards.

  • Include Deleted Objects while exporting Namespace in File Transport System

    Hi everyone,
What is the use of the option Include Deleted Objects while exporting a namespace using file transport system?
    Thanks,
    Anu

This is a basic question and should be searched on SDN before posting.
Say, you create a DT in dev and transport it to Test system. In sometime, the requirement changes and now you are supposed to use a WSDL (external def) so no DT / MT will be required and should be deleted. You can delete them in Dev but what will happen to those objects in test - it is not a good practice to delete objects in non-Dev env.
In such situation, you will make these deleted objects part of your transport to test / other env and it will get deleted over there as well.
Hope this answers your query. Make search on SDN / SAP Help for further reading.

  • Transporting PI/XI object deletions beyond the first target system?

    Hello,
we're running PI7.0 at the site I'm working at, and our PI transports are controlled via CMS.
I'm experiencing a problem in transporting Deletions of integration directory objects.
From Development to the first target Test system, the Deletions are moved through fine. This 'D' --> 'T 'transport forms the first track.
The second track moves the same transports from 'Q' (after being assembled and approved out of 'T') to 'I' and then to 'M' systems.
However, beyond the 'T' system, the Deletion objects seem to disappear off the transport!
Other items on the same transport (eg. object creations or changes), still get transported fine.
The outcome is that we seem to only be able to delete objects via transport in the first target system, not any follow-on systems.
Does anyone know what could be causing the problem?
    many thanks
    DaveR

    Hi Marco,
For Java development, you will still use NWDI until the assembly step. The result will be a software component archive, which can then be moved over to CTS+.
For XI development, it is possible to use CTS+ instead of of CMS at the transport technology.
You also might want to take a look into the following document, which highlights the combination of CTS+ and NWDI:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a0d96022-9df5-2910-90b8-8e0580e0987e
    Interesting quote:
"Usage type DI is by no means invalidated by this [CTS+] scenario: The NWDI is the recommended environment for JAVA-based development."

  • Creating transport for PI deleted objects

    Hi all,
    PI newbie here.
I have deleted an Integration Scenario as it is no longer needed. I can see this in my Change List, along with the CS object from which this has been removed.
How do I get these objects into a transport request?
When I right-click on the CS to activate I get the objects in a Change List and the IS is there but not selected. I assume this is correct and that I smply activate the CS? Please confirm.
PS: once again apologies for newbie question.

    Hi Glen,
In transport wizard , check deleted object and your deleted objects will also be available for transport
Note: When you delete any object in ESR / ID  , you must activate the change list then only changes will be reflected on PI server / cache
    Thanks

  • Transport deleted objects in productive

    Hi!
    Help, plz.
What is the right way to transport deleted objects (levels, packages...) to PROD system from QUALITY?

    Hi Marina,
I would think the right way to transport objects would always be from DEVP (development) to PROD and not from QUALITY else after a period of time it is possible that you might have three systems DEVP, QUALITY and PROD and none of them in sync with each other.
You use QUALITY only for testing/training purposes and not for development purpose.
If you have accidentally deleted objects from Devp, would suggest recreating the same in Devp.
    hope it helps

  • Deleting objects in transport request

    Hello,
I made the changes in InfoCube in developer system and included those changes in a transport request. I didn't release this transport. Then I realized that those changes must be reverted.
I know what I have to do. First of all I need to change manually InfoCube and then remove objects from transport request.
I have doubt about deleting objects. In transport request there is a lot of object which Iu2019ve never changed such as InfoObjects and InfoArea.
Can I safely remove these objects? Why these objects are attached to my transport request?
I checked them and last change was made by another user.
    Thank you for your time.

    Hi,
I don't think there is any version comparison available with target system like R/3 reports. You will manually have to compare the properties.
If you have lot of objects and do not want to loose any changes then you can even think of reverse transport from production system to development system for selected objects.
Now about locking the remaining objects you can open the TR through SE09 in change mode and then select the required items and from the tool bar you can directly lock all the items in single go.

  • Restore deleted objects with local transports ?

    hi experts,
while trying to delete existing source system and create the same again in RSA1, I deleted some of the BW objects as it was asking to delete. Now I could not activate the bw source system, which I created newly. I have local transport created for the deleted objects. Is it possible to restore the deleted objects back.
    Thanks,
    Usha

    Hi,
    Welcome to SDN !!!!!
Is it only single BI system or any other BI system exists. If exists are these deleted objects moved to that other system. If yes then try to create the requests of deleted objects in that system and then transport them here. If it is only a single system then as per my knowledge I dont think it is possible to resote them from local requests. Normally if you have two clients in a system and if you want changes from one client to be copied to other then we do it using SCC1. But I guess you BI system might have only one client and I think transporting them in the same client would not work. But anyhow just give a try by using SCC1 tcode.
In last case check with your BASIS consultant if they are taking backup and till what date backup exists. If backup exists then ask them to restore the same and this will restore the complete system to date of which the backup exists.

  • Using Charm at cutover to handle deleted objects

    Hello experts,
System landscape contains of dual landscap meaning one project ladnscape and one maintenance landscape.
    Project: D01>T01>Q01     ( no charm )
    Maint: DEV>QAS>PRD      ( charm is used )
At project Go Live cutover is done från Project line Q01 to Maint DEV.
All transports imported in Q01 is added manually to import queue of Maint DEV and imported.
After that 1 WB request and 1 Cust. request is created via charm and all objects from the
cutover transports imported are added to those chamr transports. Then charm handles the
transport process through the maint landscape up to production.
    Problem
    =======
If cutover transports contains deletion of objects, the transports are imported to DEV maint, object is deleted.
When including all objects from cutover transports into the two charm transports it will then ofcourse fail during
releae of the transports on the deleted objects as they no longer exist in DEV maint. This is of course not a specific
charm problem but a TMS problem. Or not even a problem it is as it should be.
    Question
    ========
Is there any way of handling this scenario, can charm in any way handle this ?
    Thanks,

I checked the link you provided and that descibes as you say a dual landscape but i don't think it will solve this problem.
As i understand you setup the retrofit process one-way and that would be Maint DEV -->  Project DEV.
That is all fine keeping all changes done in maintenance landscape in synk with project landscape.
But the cutover process is manual, as also the drawing states, meaning adding project landscape transports
to Maint DEV system import queue and import them. But if a transport contains objects with the delete flag it will be
deleted in the Maint DEV system. All fine that far. But when you then inlcude all cutover transports objects into a charm transport it will not check if object still exist in Maint DEV system ( wich it does not anymore ), it will include evertyhing that is part of the cutover transports. Meaning you include objects with delete flag on it. When you release this now in Maint DEV system what it does is to check if object exist in TADIR, it does not. You can fool this release process by manually create an entry in TADIR, release the transport, then delete the entry in TADIR. But if you have cutover transports with many deletions, then this is not the way to go.
So please explain how the retrofit procedure would help in the scenarion at cutover and delete flag.
    Thanks.

  • Transport Error - Deletion of Table Maintenance

    Hi Experts,
I have been searching SDN, but I cannot find a specific problem relating to mine.
My problem is, i am deleting a table, where a table maintenance was generated. Somehow, an error occurred during transport - it says 'Screen SAPLXXXXX 00XX: Generation error'. This is the screen for the table maintenance generated. Further on, I found that there is a syntax error, which is because it is referring to the table and its fields which were already deleted in the same transport.
Question is, is the procedure wrong? Should I have deleted the Table Maintenance first and transport and then create transport for the deletion of table? How to correct the above error, when the table is already deleted?
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    Joy

    Hi ,
Try to delete the Table maintainace first and then  try to delete Objects for Table maintainace in Transport.
Then try to create a fresh table maintaiance with Proposed screens then it will work properly.

  • How to delete objects created in IR and ID

    Hello ,
What is the right way to delete the SWCV from IR and Configuration scenario from ID .
I am using PI 7.11  version. Also, want to know that ,if i want to take backup , then how to  do that.
    Thanks in advance.
    Ravi

    Hello,
What is the right way to delete the SWCV from IR and Configuration scenario from ID .
You start from the top to the bottom, by this I mean you delete objects in this order
    ESR:
Operation Mappings -> Message Mappings -> Imported Archives -> Service Interfaces -> Message Types -> Data Types -> Context Objects  -> External Definitions
    ID:
Receiver Agreement -> Sender Agreement -> Interface Determination -> Receiver Determination -> Communication Channels -> Business Component/Business System -> Party
I am using PI 7.11 version. Also, want to know that ,if i want to take backup , then how to do that.
Transport your SLD, All ESR objects under that SCV, All ID objects under that SCV as a file and then save in your local directory. That way, even if you deleted the objects you can still reimport them when the need comes.
    Hope this helps,
    Mark

  • Transport for deletion group module

    Hi
I try to delete FM from another system by transport task but this delete only some parts of this.
When I put transport then function group is deleted bu FM is stille exists and after click show me error in group module.
How to complete delete this. Can I try to create some own transport task deletion manually?
    Thanx for any help

    Hello Kosmo,
I believe you're not deleting the FM structure - or any other FM object, only the Function Group (R3TR FUGR - Function Group)
To make sure you've deleted everything related to that FM, include the following objects on the request:
LIMU  FUGT     Function Group Texts (if applicable)
    LIMU       FUNC     Function Module
    R3TR FUGR     Function Group
R3TR FUGS     Function Group with Customer Include: SAP Part (if applicable)
R3TR FUGX     Function Group with Customer Include: Customer Part (if applicable)
    I hope this helps.

  • Restore deleted objects

    Hi experts!,
I used FM RH_OBJECT_DELETE to delete some objects. Are there any FM for restore objects?
A lot of thanks in advance.
    Best regards.
    djlu

I don't think it is possible to get back the deleted objects. You need to create them again. You can do it by using the same technical name.
The transport request in which you have these objects collected will be containing the information about the deletion of these objects, So if you move this transport to test environment then these objects will also get deleted from there.

  • Broadcasting scheduling settings not transported along with object BRSE

    Hi ,
I transported object BRSE (broadcasting object) with the Transport Connection (RSA1 transaction) from development system to the test one. I also transported previously the object TMPL (the Web Template in which I customized the broadcasting).
The transportation was succesfull, everything was transported Ok except from the broadcasting schedulling settings. I really don't know why?
I'll appreciate any help on this issue.
    Best regards,

Hi Alex and thank you for your answer.
The transport log shows this warning:
Event ZSICO_LDM (DC) does not exist; registration of setting Z_ENVIO_QUERY_RECONC_RC deleted
    Broadcast setting Z_ENVIO_QUERY_RECONC_RC activated successfully
We don't created any event manually, so we think that ZSICO_LDM is an event that was automatically created.
Z_ENVIO_QUERY_RECONC_RC is our Broadcasting scheduling that sends a query by e-mail.
Now we can see Z_ENVIO_QUERY_RECONC_RC on RSA1 -> Metadata Repository finding the query, but when we open the broadcast settings for this query, it does not appears.
    Do you know why?
    Thanks a lot.
    B.R.
