Transportation Prob

Hi All,
I am transporting my BI Objects from Development to quality.
I am able to transporting the infoobjects, infocubes and infopackages, but we are not able to send the datasources.
while we are transporting the datasources, system says Application Component hierarchy is not found.
In our case in R3 side there is no Quality system, the R3 people has to transport the things from development to Production.
So need your valuable suggestions to resolve my issue.

Hi Naveen,
When we handle with transportation we need to follow the sequence.
In your case first the DSes must be transported from R/3 Dev to next systems in the landscape.
When you are done with R/3 DSes Dev you must have replicated them in BW dev. Now you must have created all the necessary IO,DSO,Cubes,MP,IPs,DTPs and Transformations and collected under respective TRs. After doing all these you must have done with Unit testing and it is passed, now you are ready to transport the developed objects into the next systems in the respective landscapes(R/3 and BW).
1. First Transport DSes from R/3 Dev to R/3 Test or R/3 Quality what ever is next system. When this is successfull, log into R/3 qulity system and check all the Dev DSes arrived correctly under respective Application Componets. Work closely with R/3 tarnsportation team to get the things done. Even in our project we follow the same. When we done our work we follow with R/3 responsible transportation team.
2. Now replicate them in BW quality.
3. Now proceed transporting BW objects from BW Dev to BW Q. Though there is no logical dependency in tranportation between R/3 and BW but to keep the things clear this is the good process we follow.
4. I had seen one of your question that you are still getting the same error. So for this you first make sure that all your DSes are arrived in the next level of R/3 system. Then proceed with BW objects transportation.

I am transporting a ODS through transport connection in RSA1.I just drag and drop the ODS and grouping is before and after,collection is automatic.Here I done find the transfer rules in the list of objects that are collected.So I gone to transfer rules and trying to find my transfer rules, but its not there.
then I checked mt datasource and transfer rules,they are active.
Please help me out.

dear RRK,
the reason you didn't get your transfer rules probably is the source system not assigned, you can check this with rsa1->transport connection->click 'source system assignment' (yellow box with X), in next screen make sure the source system that your transfer rules assigned with datasource is marked, there are r/3, flat file etc.

I have one bex garbage collector already. but when ever i try to change query in BEx it gives me error message:

Tuning Exchange 2013 HealthSet Monitors (example: MailboxTransport - Mapi.Submit.Monitor)

Hello everyone,
I was hoping some of you could help me out a bit with the new monitors in Exchange 2013.
Especially after updating to CU6 we are getting a lot of warnings from SCOM with different HealthSets that show as unhealthy. These are usually “OK” again when we log on to the server and run Get-ServerHealth or Get-HealthReport. The most common healthset is
Compliance, but also get warnings from MailboxTransport and ActiveSync.
If we do manage to log on before the healthset returns to healthy again, like in the example below, we can drill down a bit. We are however very unsure about what to do with this information. Perhaps we should change the threshold, but how do we find out exactly
what this monitor is reporting on? We know it has something to do with Mapi Submit, and that the threshold is 8, but not much more than that?

We had a look in the log you mentioned, and found some events that appear to be related.
Mailbox Transport Submission - the verification that the probe messages were successfully submitted within 5 minutes to HUB has failed.
This could indicate that the mailbox submissions are taking too long or not progressing at all.

Prob - Transporting Alert Categories- Dev to QA - Urgent

We have a very wierd situation while transporting the alert Categories from Dev to QA.
New Alert Categoires are created under existing Alert Classfications, when transported into QA from Dev, there are new alert classifications created with a new name.
Say .....
Alrt_cat1, Alrt_cat2 exist under Alrt-Class1 in Dev and also on XIQ. New category Alrt_cat3 is created under Alrt-Class1 in Dev.
When tried to transport Alrt_cat3 from Dev to QA, from the tranports prespective everything is looking OK.
But in alrtcatdef, there is a new alrt classification created with the name Alrt - Class1 (with spaces before and after "-" ). And the new category Alrt_cat3 is under
Alrt - Class1 (with spaces before and after "-" ).
Any help on this is appreciated.

Hi ,
i am transporting BCT cube from DEV to Q system
i fallow this steps
--> i am using only neccary option in transport connection and collect
based on the Flow of IC tree.
1 . drag IC -- it co,llects all Info areas and Info objects
2. drag IS - it collects App comp's and Comm Structure
3. drag DS- it collects only one data sources under IC tree.
4. Drag Update rules --it collects all routines , IC and Info sources.
5. Drag Transfer rules -- it collects Sources system , IS and info objects.
and all are store in one request .
my doubt is how can collect Master data sources ?
and tell me i fallow correct order or not ?

Hi PSR,
Why don't you collect all at once by selecting as "Indata Flow Before" in Transport connection, it will collect all objects related to that IC.
Check the required one only.
Coming to Master data Sources you can't transport them.
you have to create them seperately in other servers as QA nd Production.
As the way available in Dev.

ERROR: Connect to SID failed (20110131102838, probably wrong environment).and the value of DIR_TRANS is

Error while transporting the Custom Selection Screen to Production

I have created a custom selection screen based on selecting the HR REPORT CATEGORY which gets selected under attributes section of an Executable Program.
Every selection screen got replicated till quality but at Production unable to see the same selection screen

This happened to me once.
I have checked my transport logs and found that everything was successfully transported in order and without errors. But the selection screen was not coming in Productio system. So i have tried activaing and generating the program once which solved my problem.

when releasing the transport request from developement client subrequest is released properly but when released the main request getting the error

As the transport log itself saying that the connection to development failed. There may be some connection issue in STMS. Ask your basis if there is any problem.

I cannot show the transport dock at the base of the garageband window

The transporter dock that containes the record, stop and forward/reverse buttons is hidden in the main garageband window. I have tried downloading a later version of the software but it is exactly the same. This has to be an easy fix but I can't find anything in the help file or the menu's to solve this.
Anyone got an answer.

are the controls missing from the GarageBand Window , or is the application window too large and the controls are outside the screen limits?
If the second should be the case (off screen), try to toggle the size of the window by pressing the green button in the traffic light in the upper left corner or by going to Full Screen Mode. Does that bring the controls back on the screen?
If the window is smaller, and the controls are missing from the bottom panel, try HangTime's "oddball probs" fix and trash the GarageBand preferences file - move com.apple.garageband.plist from the Preferences folder in your user library to the Desktop.

SC 3.2 - scinstall fails cluster transport discovery

Hello,
I'm trying to install a cluster on 2 v240 servers running Solaris 10 U4 (08/07) built from a custom Jumpstart profile. Both systems have 4 network connections (2 public, 2 private), spread across a total of 3 VLANs (one public, two private). The cluster software installs just fine, but when it comes time to run 'scinstall' to build the cluster, I get the following error:

    You must configure the transport manually to configure tagged VLAN
    adapters and non tagged VLAN adapters on the same private interconnect
    VLAN.
    Do you want to try again (yes/no) [yes]?I've been poking at this all day, so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I can plumb and configure an IP on all of interfaces in both machines and they can see each other (ping and arp both work fine).
I did find one thing while looking through the log though. I am configuring these through SSH, and it appears that the SSH banner was causing a bit of a problem. Notice in the output below that the expected probe information is the words from the legal disclaimer in the SSH banner.

Transport a ztable from 4.7 to ecc 6.0

i'v a prob to create a same z-table in ECC 6.0. that is already created in my 4.7 version
my ECC 6.0 and 4.7 as diff. servers.
i only want to create structure. i'dont want to recreate it in ECC 6.0 is their any short cut so it can create without any manual creation

That's not true!!!!
All transports transports from 47 can be imported in ECC6.0...
Just ask basis guy to import transports. If the transport doesn't exists in ECC6.0 there should be downloaded cofiles and data files and then put them on the application server ecc6.0 et finally stms to import them!

DTP error: Type conflict when calling FM - after transport to Prd

i have asset_attr datasource.it was working in my BW dev.
however after transport to BW prod. when i try to upload data using DTP it gives me an Abrupt error

no more information is given, & the request ends in red.
This is first time i'm using this Infoobject upload.
however all my other transaction data & other master data all are getting uploaded fine.
even Asset_text datasource is working fine.
Did anyone face similiar probs ?

Query regarding CMS transport!

I hav an issue with CMS transport. - I hav done certain changes in a mapping for a specific name space say urn:XYZ. The software component for this name space is say SC1. This software component also contains several name spaces say urn:123. urn:456. urn:pqr. And some of them are active and some inactive
Now as per process, I hav activated my specific messege mapping and then going to TOOLS- Export Design Objects - Mode: Transport Using CMS. -- Individual Objecis -......
Now when I go to the CMS url....there after carrying out the necessary steps [ Pls refer to the following URL.This thing WILL take some time as it is a 2.5 MB file :

EXPERTS, Pls check the doc in details,this is a kind of general manual and tell me if I hav missed out some thing/ or hav done some mistakes , I think this can be a gud document !!
Pls note, dont study the document by the NAME oF DEVELOPMENT perspective, I hav developed this doc from time to time with necessary changes / modifications !!

Hi Arnab not a prob. I have not got a chance today to see your latest post on the thread, was busy with some stuff throughout the day.
+ Once Again Suddha , you managed time for me,, let me tell you, mine is not a very urgent issue, but YES, I want to get to the root of it!!!+
As you have said that, you see all the objects in the Assembly Tab page, then do one thing, right after you assemble the specific component, refresh the tab
and check if the other components get removed from the list, under Assembly Tab.
Well, tet me tell you some thing, in my process, I DONT Assemble the Specific component . Let me make this part clear to you . Let me tell you the steps, I
follow in details .
1. Once the change is done in the mapping- I transport it as INDIVIDUAL OBJECTS, through CMS Transport.
2. Log in to the Chanhe Management service!
3.Click on the appropriate TRACk-- that is track for integration repository
4.Click on teh aassebbly tab -- an assembly option arrives -- I select the " same suppot packages number as the last support package number!-- then click
on the ASSEMBLE button.
5. As a result of this all the 4 software components come into the list.
Here I select the appropriate SCV by selecting the LINE. Pls note I dont go to the SELECT Comonent button and select individual SCVs.
6. After selecting the LINE, I go to the approval tab, there I get to see all the SCVs, with severl datse. Here, I again select the appropriate SCV of mine based
on day and time. I select the LINE-- then click on the CONFIRM button. As a result of which i get to see APPROVED, for that SCV.
7. then I go to PRODUCTION TAB , again select the appropriate SCV line and click on the IMPORT button.
These are my steps. This is what I was tought . And now i feel , I missed certain steps .Pls correct me !

doubt, if the components have dependencies, could that be the reason for this?
Well as I described in step no 4 and 5 that I Do select the appropriate SCV in teh Assembley tab, by selecting the line but do not select it through "SELECT
Comonent button and select individual SCVs. Is this where I am going wrong????
Again, as far as the Integration Repository developments are concerned, no two SCV has any dependency, I am sure about that, the major factor being, the
3 SCV that I am working on are CUSTOM SCV.!
One more thing................if you are not going to the consolidation tab and importing the components into consolidation system, how are showing up in the
assembly tab. Strange! don't you think so? You need to follow the sequence of steps. Are you sure you are not referring to some older transports?
Well, this part ,I can smell RATs. Actually in my system I only have a PI develoment and PI production server. This is my first XI proj, and the above 7 steps
were all what I was told as necessary to send developments to Production. I hav absolutely no Idea of the utility of the CONSOLIDATION TAb, and the funda
of importing the components in the consolidation system. I donno anything about the installation of this CMS- Transport studio.But i can speak to the basis
team, and tell you , if you want to know about any specific basis settings.!!!

That is not possible as I can check the date and time. all 3 SCV s have the same date and time. It is in the approval tab, I select the appropriate SCV and
send it for Production!!!
