Transporting a Org Unit to QA

Hello All
We're about to upload our WF to QA, and I've set all the WF definitions and rule to a transport package, but I want to know how can I do the same with my Org Units. I've searched about this and cannot found any info.

These aren't usually transported because the organization is maintained in production.
You can use report RHMOVE30 to transport an org structure manually, however I usually find it quicker and easier to just recreate the structure if it's not too big.

Transport of org.units and structure

Hi all
I know there is a possibility to transport org.units and its structure (PPOMA_BBP). There are some settings to do in table T77S0 (key = TRSP.CORR) and 2 reports RHMOVE30 and/or RHMOVE50 to be used depending on the setting done in T77S0.
It is also required to configure ALE distribution model with IDoc type HRMD_A.
My question is: what do I have to include in the filter? What are the relevant info types to be replicated via ALE?
We're on SRM 4.0 with SRM Server 5.0 SP08. We don't have HR module in SAP R/3 in use.

Problem replacing Org Unit

Hello gurus!
I've got a problem transporting an Org Unit to QA. Previously I've transported a preliminary version of the organizational structure, and now there are some changes. I've moved them with RHMOVE30 but in QA there are no changes and the old Org Unit remains.

Transport org. unit & position to another system

Hi,
I modified some org. units and positions in development and system did not ask for a transport request. How can I move my objects into test system ??

With tcode RE_RHMOVE30 you can create a request and transport them.
All you have to do is to choose the plan version, object types, objects. If you want all relations to be transported you can write A* in field evaluation path but if you want you can transport specific relations.
Select transport objects box.
In field task you can press f4 and then you can create a new request for the transport. After this press F8.
There will be a new screen. In this screen select the objects to be transported and then press F8.
After that you will release the request and transport it to the other system via using se09 and stms.

SHIPPING POINT is responsible organisational unit for shipping. and shipping activities
As you aware for delivery creation the SHIPPING POINT is mandatory.
The definition of SHIPPING POINT clearly says as,
Shipping point is an Independent organizational unit that performs shipping processing. You can have many shipping points for a plant but delivery is possible thorugh only one shipping point
The Organisation unit which falls under the LOGISTICS EXECUTION is shipping point and you can find the the organisations units under LOGISTICS EXECUTION which are also responsbible for shipping like, loading point, transportation planning point.
In your question it is the SHIPPING POINT which is controlling the shipping activities

OM - Report S_AHR_61016509 Vacant Positions doesn't pull the Org Unit data

Hello,
When I run the report - S_AHR_61016509 Vacant Positions, it pulls all the vacant positions. But it does not pull the information on which Org Unit the vacant position belongs to.
The end user would like to know which org unit the vacant position belongs to in the org structure, so if there is a new hire in that org unit, we can reuse the same position.
Please guide.

Hi,
On the output, click on print preview button (ShiftF6). On the next screen, click on change layout button (CtrlF8). Select the 4 hidden fields and transfer them to the left pane and click on copy.
You can then transport the output as excel too.
Iu2019d recommend you to save the layout by going to Settings>Layout>Saving. You would then get an option on the report selection screen to specify the layout and you could save your variant accordingly.

The bp id for org unit does not exist

Dear expert,
after transport the org structure from dev to qty system , we found the bp id for org unit does not exist in qty system.
in ppoma_crm, we can see there is a bp id assigned to the org unit. however, when use tcode 'bp' to check the bp id, the system can not fould a valid id.
what can we do to solve the issue?
will there any impact if we keep no bp id for the org unit?

Hi,
You can use the transaction CRM_OM_BP_INTEGRATE.
Select the Org unit and enter the org id in the input field and execute it.
Select the org unit from the result list and click on the button Start Repair. This will create a BP without errors for the respective org unit.

To pick Parental org unit ( Root Org Unit)

Is there any Function Module which can pick the employee root organization unit.
In my code:
*zhrint02_itab-status = 'X'.*
    MODIFY zhrint02_itab TRANSPORTING status
                         WHERE otype EQ wa_adompernr-otype
                         AND   objid EQ wa_adompernr-objid
                         AND   infty EQ '1028'.----
If status = 'X' it is picking the employee assigned org unit i.e Modify zhrint02_itab Transporting status
                                  objid = wa_adompernr-objid.
Is there any way to pick the Root org unit for the emp.
Kindly suggest the code change where i have to change in the above code to get parental org unit...

I am not sure if you have already found an answer but MSS does not require you to change your existing Org structure. Many companies use position to position reporting relationship and not position to org. unit relationship with chief position holder. For MSS you can completely customize the way a manager is identified and how subordinates for the manager are identified by using function modules and perform necessary configuration in OADP.

SD required org units

Hello Folks,
I know the standard SD org units required to be able to use SAP SD.
But are org units Client and Company code optional org units when configuring for SD module? To be able to use just the SD module are these 2 units optional?
I think company code is a must since customer master requires company code.
Why I ask is because my trainer told me these 2 are optional and I noted this down on my notes.
Business area is optional that i know. But is Shipping point and transportation planning points also both optional in SD?
So, kindly just confirm for me please.

A client is organizational and legal entity in the SAP system. All the business management data is protected here because other clients can not access them. The main objective of the client is to keep the data isolated. The data in a client can be only visible within that client; it can not be displayed or changed from another client. In a physical SAP system there can be multiple clients. Each of these clients can have different objective or each client represents a unique work environment. In a development environment one client can be used as sandbox client (developers learn how to configuration using SAP environment), one can be used as prototype client (users do the customizing according to the companyu2019s requirements and testing) and another one can be used as the master development and configuration client (where the final configuration is done). A client has its own set of tables and user data. There can be multiple clients in each of the system of SAP system landscape . Customizing is a method in the SAP R/3 system that helps the user to configure the functionality from SAP, according to the customer requirements. When the SAP objects are just used by only one client, we define them as client dependant data. There are some objects as ABAP/4 programs, which are used by all the clients in a SAP system. Those objects are called client independent data. The functional changes resulting from customizing can be client specific (client dependant) or general (client independent). You must know the fact that client independent customizing can create problems if the authorizations and the client strategy are not defined properly. For example if you have three clients in a development environment then the role of each client should be defined properly. One of these three clients should be used for client independent customizing and in other clients, users will not have the authority to do any client independent configuration.

Actually this is not about one or two positions, there are 100 to 200 positions involved. This situation arises when I create a new org structure as well as new positions & transport it from development to production server and the relationship between old positions & their holders gets vanished in org structure in production server. Usually I use the transaction code RHINTE00 to bring back the same. But what i need is a transaction code by which I can bring back those relationships in batch input method.

How are the org units created,say if i have 1000 org units which has to be created,in the PRH, what is the best solution, is it by transport or data upload?

My client has uploaded wrong Org Units while hiring, now that has to be changed for larg number of employees.
Can any one suggest me how can we do this for larg number of employees?

By saying uploaded wrong organizational units, do you mean that organizational structure in PPOME is wrong or employee - position assignment is wrong?
If employee - position assignment is wrong then I suggest you to use batch input program or use LSMW as you have to change it via personnel action - PA40
If organizational structure is wrong, then do you have correct organizational structure in another system like test or qa?
If you have correct organizational structure then you can directly transport it from one system to other but if you don't then you first need to correct the organizational structure and then run LSMW or batch input.

Org unit date in adhoc query

I have created a TEM query in SQ02, based on infoset \SAPQUERY\HR_TEM_E (logical database PCH), in which I am outputting object name and date (P1000), and org unit (P8004).
The output on the org unit name corresponds to the most current version of the org unit, but my requirement is for it to match to the date that the course object exists, i.e. historical.
Would anyone know a way to code this field, or whether there is a functional solution to this?
Please do let me know.

Report to check org units without any position display

Dear All,
I want a report which i can see only the org units in a graphical way. When i am checking through Simple maintainence mode I am getting org units along with positions also with in the graphical mode i have selected the view option under options menu there can able to see individual departments along with positions.
My request is i want to see the organization structure along with sub org units under sub org units with departments without positions. please let me know is there any standard reports available.
