Transporting bp persons

Hi
I am creating persons in transaction BP and assigning them as employees. Now I want to transport these persons to other system - say quality. I want to know how to do that? Is there any other alternative apart from LSMW or bdc - like any standard report for it?

Hi,
you can follow the below procedure for tranporting the Org Structure....
RHMOVE30 report is used for delta transport where as RHMOVE50 will be used for initial transport of the structure.
1 u2013 Release the R3 transport
2 u2013 Release the CRM transport (no user should be in)
The organization model is buffered => you will not see the organization structure immediately
after the transport import into the receiving system!=> Wait the next day
3 Run HRLAXSYNC report
For further information please refer Refer OSS Note: 548202; 327908.
Regarding the transfer of persons from Development to Quality it cannot be done.....through above mentioned procedure

Hi Venu,
You can transport flavors using transport requests if the systems are connected. You can add flavors to transport under Personas admin UI (/n/persos/admin_ui -> General Actions -> Transport Objects).
if you are using Personas 2.0 SP02, then you can export flavors and import to different system even if they are not connected.
You can assign users and groups to flavors again under Personas admin UI -> General Actions -> Flavor Maintenance).

Role Transports

Hello,
I transported Roles (BI 7.0) by collecting objects in Transport connection to QA system, but I eneded up regenerating profiles for all of them. Is this is normal?
OR is there any difference directly clicking Transport buttom from PFCG screen? do I need to re-do all my Role transports again?

I can't give you a definitive answer, but in PFCG, there's a tick-mark "Also transport the generated profiles of the single roles" on role transport screen.
This could be the difference - checking this probably piggy-backs the profiles to the transport.
Personally, I leave it unchecked and regenerate all profiles on the target system via SUPC.

is there any tcode to know who was logged into the system in a certain hour?

STMS->IMPORT OVERVIEW-> Select the QUA System->GOTO-> IMPORT
HISTORY
Select EDIT->DISPLAY MORE Int he USER column you can find
the User who moved the Request.

Check ALOG#### files in /usr/sap/trans/log
columns are:
transport number
SID
client
transport step (check for "I")
return code
time stamp
owner (person who released the transport)
user (person who controls/imports the transport) <--- this is the one you
want
host
tp key

To view most recent ALOG in STMS:
Select GoTo --> tp system log
Select GoTo --> transport steps
Check for entries where transport step = "I"

There is no standard transaction. The information is available for configurable time periods using transaction ST05N but it is not organized to readily provide a report of users and transactions. Also the information available summarizes a user's use of a transaction. There will be one entry (with count data) per user per time period. Daily, weekly and monthly summaries can be created and they are stored for configurable durations.
The information is summarized into a cluster table called MONI based on the STAT files that are written in the file system and regularly refreshed. MONI cannot be queried via SE16 etc., but SAP delivers a number of function modules that retrieve data from these tables.
It is also possible to configure audit logging via SM19 and read the log files via SM20. This will provide more detail but it also introduces new file management issues and requires a change to system settings.

Good case for MBA 13 inch

I need a good case for my MBA that can survive a bus ride to and from school

To transport my personal equipment, I trust a Canadian brand out of California called ACME made. For my 11" air I use the Skinny Sleeve as well as the Union Brief. Production equipment however gets a brand called CineBags - those are hardcore. Or you could just check out the simple Incase zipper sleeves and bags they sell at the Apple Store.

Master - Derived roles -- some generated some ungenerated.

We know how to solve this issue but we would like to know what causes it and how to prevent it in future development. Example: We have roles that have been created from one master role. There are probably 80-90 derived roles from this one master role all with a small variation of company code and release code. These roles have been implemented for over a year or more and nothing has been added to the master role to be pushed down. The only change has been an derived roles added with new company code/release code. When these roles are created the master roles gets generated and then pushed down through all the derived roles once the specific authorizations are added. I development is shows that everything is in sync and is all green. In quality and production it willl show that for each company code release code 01-06 are green, 07-10 are red and 11-15 are green. Its always the same release codes for each company code that show are ungenerated.
This is just one example we have other roles that have been created and at GOLIVE (3 years ago) and the newly created derived roles is green where as certain older ones are not. We thought it had to do with the generation of new roles but I just created a new company code from the example above and it is the same way.
Is there a certain procedure that makes this happen, or is there a way to prevent this? Also, with this in production and not being able to generate these roles in production is it hurting or will it affect anything within the roles transactions if there are authorizations in the role, and a profile assigned to the role for a generated authorization but the authorization stop light shows red will this affect anything?
Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated.

1.Have u generated roles in DEV system ?? Hope no organisational values are missing in authorizations tab.
you need to mass generate the profiles! (SUPC)
2. When creating the transport the person might have forgot to unchecked to transport the profiles as well.
3.. some changes were made to the roles after the transport was created.

4. If any system upgrades might have change the auth tab to red. (but in your case it with org levels)
5. These type of mistakes happen if any new person have joined & without proper reading company documentation, might have the changed the roles.

CSI Accelerator: Master / Derived roles

Hi,
As some of you might be aware, CSI accelerator besides having other typical SOD tool functionalities also helps in role creation as well just like ERM of GRC.
But using this tool u2018CSIu2019 I have seen diff non-org filed values in the derived roles having been maintained as comapared to the master while creating them thus derived is customized to a gerat extent. So I just want to understand:
1. in such cases (where derived has non-org filelds values diff from masters) how does CSI handle the instances when master would be changed and changes need to be pushed to existing derived roles? In that case those non-org in already existing derived roles would again become same as masters.
2. Even using ERM one should be able to maintain diff values in the derived at non-org levels so how is the above mentioned push handled in case of ERM? Or itu2019s not handled at all and it simply wipes such discrepancies?

There are 3 basis admins in our Org.
so is there a way of tracing out , who did what transport.

to QR1 ( one system ) from DR1 (another System ),
So, I need person A user id is stored in which table.

Hi Promod,
Users generally release the CTS. Either Basis will runa script to move the CTS or they will schedule a job to release.
Generally who is the Owner of the CTS only release the CTS also. Other wise recommneds/prompts a pop-up you to change the owner.

Personas 2.0: How to "Transport" the whole Personas app to QA sys?

Hi Personas experts,
I have developed some Personas (2.0) apps on Sandbox/Devlopment sys. Now I want to "move" the whole program to QA sys for testing. Can anyone give some details about how to use SAP transpotation to move the "Whole" app?
I am thinking that the followings need to be moved (pls correct me):
1. The configuration of Personas (eg, made by tcode spro) - can this part to be transported directly?
2. The settings such as users, groups made by admin_ui. Can this be transported directly?
3. The app impelmentations - such as all the flavours. Can this part be transported directly? If so, how?

To answer your questions:

     No this is not transportable ... not in our system anyway ... we had to do this config manually in each client

    No, users are setup in each client and assigned their Personas roles per client, groups however are transportable
3. The app impelmentations - such as all the flavours. Can this part be transported directly? If so, how?
     Flavours, groups and media files are transportable via /persos/admin_ui, you must use the 'Transport Objects' option in the 'General Actions' folder.... here you specify each object to be transported and create a transport to include them. Note, if you are using a unique SAP ITS and Personas backend per client, after transporting the object, you will need to go and assign each flavour to your new system in the admin_ui tcode.

hey
personalised mail form cant be transported ,they are made inside the development server or the server which you work at the moment
theere is no request being involved for transporting the mail form
so you just go and create the mail form again
else you can save the request if any generated inside the package and use that package to transport the mail form from one server to other

After importing the transport request into the target system, how to find the person who imported(not the owner) the transport request?

In STMS --> Import queue -> Import history
-> Select the appropriate date range.
Then go to Edit -> Display More, Now you will be seeing one more column 'User', this name corresponds to the guy who did the transport.

MSA : Contact Person Transport

Hi all,
I created a contact person of type 'PIPP' in mobile sales and trasported it to CRM online by running CONNTRANS.
I then made certain changes there and tried downloading through CONNTRANS. Now I cannot see the Contact Person in Search Tile of Mobile Sales. However I can see the Contact Person in table SMOKNA1SHT.
Any help to above issue ?

This is subscription issue.
The way subscriptions are set for your mobile client, this contact person doesn't fall into assigned criteria. That's why it was removed from your site (table smokna1) and you can't see it in contact person search tile.
smokna1sht is sort of full BP table. It is populated via a bulk subscription. So, all BPs, contact persons will be there in smokna1sht.
By adjusting your contact person related subscriptions you can get that data back to your client.
To check, have a look at CDB table smokna1 in crm online. Your contact person will be there.

I have done some workflows . It is working fine in development in quality but in production while TP transporting it is showing error like ' Temporary log /usr/sap/trans/tmp/TP number not found'. why this error is coming ?

Do you transporting those requests into PRD as Developer?
I think it is basis related issue, did you had any word with SAP basis person.
Any ways could you send long text when it is giving this error.
May be some sequencing issue in PRD?
