* Transporting Generated Export Data Source * urgent issue

Hi All,
I have generated export data source from info object Company Code,
And trying to transport the Export data source, i.e. 8Company_code to QA system.
Its showing the log that, imported sucessfully, but, i can't see the object in QA.
Iam currently working on BW 3.5 system.
Please help.

Yes, i went into Transport connector >> choosen the object >> Data flow before >>
Ticked the Data sources >> changed the Package from $TMP to ZXXX >> Generated Transport request >> Released it >> Transported it.
But, still can't see....

Unable to generate "Export data source" for Master data infoobject

Hi Gurus,
I'm in BW 3.5
I need to generate "Export data source" for a master data info object.
I followed below steps:
I ticked the checkbox "Characterist. is export data source" in the master data Info object maintenance screen.
In the Infosource area, for the desired Infoobject --> Right click --> Generate export datasource --> a dialog box displays saying "The generation of DataSource was successful"
Problem:
Even after refreshing, etc.. I couldn't find the generated datasource 8**** for the above master data. I also tried to replicate the datasource from the myself source system, but couldn't find it even there. I don't know where the generated export data source is hiding ???
Could anyone please help ????

Hi Venkat,
I guess that after creating an export datasource for infoobject this DS should appear in the RSA1-Source systems - MYSELF - datasource overview (with name starting with 8). Since it's a datamart, it should appear also as system generated infosource. And in this case you would be able to assign in URs of data target the appropriate infosource (make sure that in Infoproviders tab of RSA1 you have inserted your infoobject as a data target).
However, there are some bugs related to export data source. CHeck if you see you export data source in RSA6.
If you don't see it - consider applying OSS Note #816892 - "30BSP26: Export DS for master data is not generated".
Note #876845 - "30BSP29: InfoObject change: Export DataSource not adjusted" is also may be useful.

ERROR WHEN GENERATING EXPORT DATA SOURCE

Dear Members,
I am getting an error when generating export data source for Info Cube. I'm creating an Info Cube based on already existed info cube. Literally I am copying all the settings of an info cube to new Info Cube. The scenario is to load the data from one Info Cube to the other. The creation of Info Cube from an Info Cube is successful. But the problem is when I am generating export data source the following error is occurred.
Error: Data Source 81c_svrr does not exist in source system B3TCLNT800 of version A.
what could be the reason for the error?
Please let me know.

Dear Venkat,
The problem is because of error in the Myself Connection , Check the Myself connection in the source systems and the activate and restore the connection and try, it should work..

This my point of view:
1)DataMart: in BI you use this term for identify a specific area of analysis in your DataWarehouse. Generally it is obtained with an aggregation of data of other structures, or combining internal data with external data.
2)Generate Export D.S.: it is the technical tool to obtain an extractor to feed other structures, called DataMart.

Generate Export Data Source

Hi,
Why Generated Data Source is available for ODS with out doing the Generate Export Data Source on ODS. But it is not available for Infocube.
Is it neccessory to do Generate Export Data Source for ODS.
But with out doing this we can also able to use the Generated Data Source.

Hi,
It is not needed to generate the "export datasource" on ODS again as it automatically creates one. Yes u can use the generated one with out manually generating it.
To see the generated datasource , RSA1->Modelling->Infosources.
From trhe menu click on Settings -> Display generated objectes-> select "show generated ODS objects". Then you can find ur generated datasource on ODS.

Data load issue with export data source - BW 3.5

Hi,
We are facing issues in loading data with the help of export data source.
We have created export data source of 0PCA_C01 cube. With the help of this export datasource, we are loading data to other custom cube. Scenario is working fine in development server.
But when we transported objects to quality server data is not getting loaded to custom target cube.
It is extracting zero records. All transports are ok and we have generated export datasource in quality before transports .Also regenerated export datasource after transport and activated infosource, update rule via RS* programs. Every object is active but data is not getting extracted.
RSA3 for 80PCA_C01 datasource isn't extracting any record in Quality. Records getting extracted in development. We are in BW 3.5 with patch level 19.
Please guide us to resolve the issue.

Make sure that you have relevant Role & Authorization at Quality/PRS.
You have to Transport the Source Cube first and then Create a Generate Export Data Source in QAS. Then, replicate data sources for BW QAS Soruce System. Make sure this replicated Data Source in QAS. Only then can transport new update rules for second cube.

Error While Transporting export Data Source

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to transport a data source from development to quality system through acceptance box.
We need to transport an export data source which contains 40 fields. But when I captured the data source in development system and transported the same to acceptance box it's displaying only 38 fields. 2 Fields are missing from the data source which are present in development system and also source system of export data source.
Please suggest how to get these 2 fields in acceptance box.

Hi,
Check if your data source extract structure is having all 40 fields.
Save and generate the data source again, replicate and then transport.

80IC_C03 Export data source

Hi,
As far as I know, fact table of cube 0IC_C03 stores only inflow and outflow key figures and not the main key figures.
Hence, the cube does not have a record for every 'Calday'. In query, Stock is calculated for any 'Calday' at runtime.
When I generate export data source, it provides 'Inflow', 'Outflow' as well as main stock KF.
Shall I conclude that the export data source gives me record for every 'Calday'.
If not, please give me suggestion how to get stock for every calday so that I can update it into another data target,

If we give the context menu to the multi provider we get an option that Generate Export data Source. That means is it possible to generate the data source from multi provider. If yes , then we will load data from one multi provider to another data target.
How can we see the data in Multiprovider.

A Multiprovider has no storage of data.
But you use a query build on top of it, and see the data from the Datatargets that are used on that Multiprovider (can be cubes, info-objects, info-sets).
I am working in BI 7.0 and I don't have the option of generating the export datasource!

Export Data Source Transport Problem

Hi All,
I have IO FI Super Number - did export data source for that and generated 8zfssupno for myself BW system in Dev system.
Used that export DS for another MD Account and created transfer rule.
Now when i try to transport the Request to QA env. the export DS request shows status succesfull but cannt find 8zfssupno DS into QA system and my transfer rule request has been failed to transport.
i collected DS twice but both requests are also not identical.
One has Object Directory Entry -->R3TRISFS8ZFSSUPNOT
and the other one dont.
i can see my export DS in t-code RSA6 also.
Do i need to transport the main IO FI Super Number before transporting export DS ?
can someone pl. give me the solution ?

Need urgent help to generate SPL Data Sources for Line Items

Hi All,
I am trying to extract the Special Purpose Ledger Data from R/3 into BW. To do this, I am following the steps to generate the Data Sources for Totals table and Lien Items Table.
Using Transaction BW01 and BW03 on the R/3 side, I am able to generate the Totals Record-DataSource successfully.
But I am not able to generate the Line Items-DataSource. I am using the same procedure.
Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction. Are there any other settings I need to make to generate the Line Items-DataSource. Interestingly, I am able to generate the Line Items-DataSource for some other old ledgers in the System like ZZ and ZX. But I need the Line Items-DataSource from a ledger called ZP for which I am having trouble.
I would greatly appreciate if someone can get back to me ASAP.

During BW01, The Generate extract structure is fine for both Total and Line Item Table.The issue is when we run tcode bw03 where you assign the datasource to a ledger.
Here, I can assign only for the Total Records data source and NOT for the Line Items-DataSource.
I hope I could explain the issue. Looking forward for some advice.

Export Data Sources DEV Transport to Acceptance

Hi Friends I am having a Export Data Source 80VELEXT created in Development System. When I transport that Datasource to Acceptance. It is not getting activated. I checked in RSLOGSYSMAP Table. I do not see the DB4CLNT120 --AB4CLNT110 Check mark. Is it required to be ticked to activate this. But when I consulted MY SAP Basis team they told it is not required to be checked. They told only D53CLNT120 -- A53CLNT120 ECC - ECC is only required. Please help me how to activate this Export Datasource in Acceptance.

Hi Ravi, Please tell me exact step where you want me to change the source system to your Acceptance system Is it in the table RSLOGSYSMAP. OR where. I just created these datasources IN BI and nothing else is required no dtp no trans nothing. Just the Datasource and I need to transport this.

Transport Enhanced Data source - Urgent - Please help

I have enhanced a standard data source by adding few columns and implementing BADI, how can i transport this enhanced data source/ extractor to another server. currently when i see in SE10 i could see only the append structure name, when i released the transport the enhanced extract structure is not there instead the standard structure only i there, could you please tell how can i transport.

Hi,
First try to see the enhanced fields are available or not in original system by double clicking on the above datasource, if fields are available try to uncheck Filed option.
Once enhacement is done for the particular business content extractor, the enhanced fileds should show at the end of the extract structure using Append option.
if it is not showing means, fileds are not enhanced for that extract structure..
for that go to SE11-> give your exctract structure->in top most click on Append structure-> then give you enhanced structure name->activate..

How to find Info Source for Export Data source in Data Marts node

I need to load data from ODS to Info Cube. I created the Export Data source for the ODS. I can see the Export Data Source but in the Data Marts node of Info Source i cannot find the Info Source for the Export Data source i created. I replicated Data sources in the BW source system. I also tried to use Insert Lost Nodes from the Context Menu of the InfoSource node but nothing worked. Please let me know what i need to do to see the Info source in the Data Marts.

In the infosource tab in RSA1 - use settings --> display generated objects
you will be able to see the datamart infosources..

Modify export data source

Hello friends,
I am in need for some advice for modifying an export data source.
My scenario is as following: I have a cube for which i would like to generate a datasource in order to export some of its contents to a second cube.
That means i would like to "erase" or hide some of the infoobjects present in the first cube from the generated export datasource.
In rsa6 i cannot set the hide flag for those fields.
In rsa2 i see that the field attribute for the infoobjects i would like to hide is set to 'X' whereas i would like to have a '3' instead.
Can someone guide on the procedure of setting the field attribute for the export datasource?

Hi Gili,
I am not very sure if it is recommended in general to modify the "exported data source", because any change made manually, will be overwritten if the cube is changed and/reactivated again in the future.
However for your case, I believe even without changing the generated DS it should work - simply mapping the info objects available in cube2 and leave the rest unmapped.
