Transporting GUI status translation

Hi All,
We are doing some translation of GUI status of certain programs in se63. The translations are recorded in a TR using the program RS_LXE_RECORD_TORDER after activating the GUI status. All these are done in source system (dev system)
Now when we release the TR to test system(Target System),
we need to activate each GUI status in target system . Then only it is appearing in the interface.
Is there any way so that we can avoid the activation of each and every GUI status in the target system ?
Could you please help out us?

hi Paulo,
check if the translation was transported into Q system. When you do it in DEV and save it, the system does not ask for transport request automatically, so if no transport request exists, than won't be transported automatically. In this case you have to transport it on your own.

We are translating from Spanish to English some customer developments using the SE63 transaction. I can see that some gui title and gui status translations are done, but the system does not recognize them, we recover the Spanish one instead of the translated one.
Does someone know why and how can I adjust this? I do not have problems with the rest of the translated objects.

Hi Arun,
I think, I'm a little bit late for this issue...
Seems there's a problem with the CUA-Load: Run report RSLANG20 on the target system and afterwards refresh the CUA- and DYN-buffer by entering /$CUA and /$DYN at the okcode-field.

How to translate function codes from GUI-status into other language ?

Hello experts,
I've a programm called mrs - multi resource scheduling.
This programm has texts in english and german.
Now I want to translate the text also in italian.
When I opne the programm in se80, in path GUI-status
there are the ui-elements (Function codes).
When I open them in english, I get the texts in english, when
I open them in german , I get the texts in german.
Openeing in italian shows me the english texts.
Changing them into italian I get message:
You can only maintain the object in modification
lang. German (DE) in this system
If I proceed in translating the german text in italian, I get italian texts instead of german.
Some ideas ?

Transport Screen objects-GUI status(SAP does not create request, why)?

Thanks for replay. Actually, the SE80->program->Gui status have some objects and they are already transfered. But I can't see them on target system. But When I create exactly the same name, the system tell me they are already created. I think it becuase the original language is 'DE' but I use default language 'EN' to modify and create the request?

Transport of gui status

I have attempted to deploy some ABAP code which was developed in 4.7 into a 4.6b environment. Mysteriously the GUI statuses have not gone with the transport. Does this need to be added explicitly to the transport objects when going across versions like this ? Is it to do with the way objects are organised in packages as oppose to dev classes ?
(When I deployed the code in another 4.7 box it worked fine)

I would suggest you to look up in SE11 transaction, for table E071, check for object type 'CUAD' <-- GUI Status for your program name in your 4.7 box.

You can not create a screen or gui status or gui title without having a program, so there is always a reference to the program. If you go to SE80, and enter your program name, and hit enter, you will see folders for the screens, gui statuses, and gui titles.
The code in your PBO is simply saying that you want to use those for that particular screen, they must already exist in your program.
In reality, you should always create all of the objects of your program in SE80, and forget about SE51 and SE41, in doing so you will see how all of the objects of your program are together when using SE80.
And yes, to confirm, the screen and gui status/titles will be transported with your program.

How to download GUI status and then upload to another system?

Hi,
I have a requirement to copy a module pool program to another system (different system, it cannot be transported to that system)
We have options to download/upload programs/screens in SE38 and SE51. But, I couldn't see any such option in SE41.
Is there any other way to download GUI status from SE41 and then use that file to upload in other system?

Hello Arun,
If the object's transport order has been released, you can ask your basis person to download and import that request files(Co file + Data file) from the current system to the new system.
This is the easiest possible way to achieve your requirement.

GUI status name in BHTML

Hello,
I am looking for a way to get the GUI status in a BHTML file.
I am writing my own generator for ITS, and there I need the currently active GUI status or the name of it.
I tried to get it with
`<tags `PF-STATUS` `~CURRDYNPRO` />`
but that didn't help. I only got something like that:
<tags ZTOP_GENERATOR_TEST_0100 />
The name `PF-STATUS` is not translated, the `~CURRDYNPRO` is ZTOP_GENERATOR_TEST_0100
I saw some code like ~CURRDYNPRO.name but I could not figure out some kind of sub-value for the status.
I am working here with a NetWeaver 7.01 with EHP1 and integrated ITS.

No, I am referring to the GUI Status object that defines all the button actions available on a screen. In WebSAPConsole there is no problem to use it, but in ITS I did not find an easy way.
Currently I figured out a workaround adding a new I/O field to the screen with the name 'SY_PFKEY', and it works fine, but I don't want to manipulate the screen itself, so this is only my last resort.

Problem in copying GUI status

Hi Experts,
I have created a report using ALV object model in EN language.
For this report i have copied standard GUI status to ZGUI status in language EN.
Now when i execute this report in German login. All the texts in ZGUI are displayed in ENGLISH. Where as if i check standard GUI status, it is displayed in login language.
Please tell why standard texts in ZGUI status are not displayed in logon language or is there any special way to copy GUI status so that they are copied as language dependent.

Just for the record, as i have been digging about this same thing, without finding a clear answer anywhere.
As translation texts are not copied copying only the status, as hinted somewhere else, you can copy the whole function group into a Z (without the methods).
Then in the new Zfunction group you can create copies of the standard status adding your customer needs (new menus/buttons), and translating just the new items (for use in external programs).
Then when creating your alv reports instead of using status from its own program, use the status from this Zfunction group.
(Using "CL_SALV_MODEL_BASE->SET_SCREEN_STATUS" you can use status from other programs).

Hi Senthil,
Gui status is tied directly to programs, so that said, you want have to tie this gui status to a program, then transport the program. So if you have a gui status that you want to use that is tied to standard program, create a "Z" program, then you can copy the gui status from the standard program to the "Z" program. Now you can transport the "Z" program to this other system, then you can copy the gui status from the "Z" program to where ever you need it in the other system. Make sense. I'm assuming that this other system is outside of the DEV->TST->PRD heiracrchy.
You can copy the gui status using SE41. Click User Interface, Copy, Status.

Copy GUI Status with all languages

this is my situation:
I copied an existing GUI Status (function group SALV, status STANDARD) to a newly created report. Original languiage for the status is German, for my report is English.
Only the German texts have been copied.
How can I copy all existing languages without changing the original language of my report?

I am afraid you need to do one by one.
Please go to SE41 and give the program name and status name. In menu choose GO TO ->Translation.
or try t/code SE63.

How to get GUI Status(Push Buttons) in ALV Report

Once selection-screen was processed,an ALV report has to come and above the ALV List,I need a custom GUI Status(4 Push Button) with Push Buttons Logic.
