Transporting new developments in Production

Hello Experts,
I have made some new developments in an ODS that is already transported to production. The ODS is loaded with data and delta running daily on it in the production system.
Now my question is what steps (in proper sequence) should i follow to transport this new development to production , so that it will not effect the data and delta.
Please reply the steps.

Follow this order:
1] New info objects if any.
2] Targets(ODS)
3] Infosource, CS, TR, UR, TS and infopackages..
All are with overwrite mode..

Assigning points is the way to say thanks.
New changes in the data target by addition of new objects doesnt cause any issue.. but if u are removing any existing object from ODS then u need to drop the data from target system before the import happens...

ZTABLE TRANSPORT WITH CONTENTS TO PRODUCTION SERVER

Hi Friends,
I had created a ztable in Developement server with 3 fields including MANDT field and added 15 records to that table. (MANDT = 500).
When I transport to QA Server, the data entered in the development server, are not visible. Again I entered the data in the QA server with MANDT = 150.
Later, I transported the table to Production server. Again here also no data found. When I tried to add entries, the system throws the following message :
   "The System Settings Do Not Allow Any Changes".
Please let me know what step I have missed out.
Also let me know the following :
1. How to transport a ztable from Devlopment server to QA/Production server with all the data.
2. How to add new entries in Productin server.

   (create an empty function group in
   new session thru se80 tcode,
   and mention it here)
2. Authorization group
   Just check out using F4
   if some Z* or Y* is avaialble or not
   (If not , ask basis team to
   create on Z/Y authorisaton group,
and mention it here)
3. Choose radio button ONE STEP
4. In overview screen text box
   , just enter 1000
5. Just enter the above fields,
and press CREATE.

How to import transport of copies to productive systems

Hello,
I have been experiencing a problem that even the guys from admin could not solve (yet). I should say I work in a development team.
Imagine you have two landscapes, one DEV-QAS(1) to develop big projects and a normal DEV-QAS-PRD(2) landscape where my objects will be imported. After a new group of objects is finished in (1), we ask to import the workbench request in the STMS queue of DEV(2). After this, and after some small test, we create a transport of copies in DEV(2) where we include the first transport, release it and import it to the QAS(2) queue. After the tests in QAS(2) the idea would be to import the transport of copies to productive system PRD(2). But it does not work...
In STMS queue for PRD(2), there is no entry for the transport of copies. Also, when I tried to add the transport request to the import queue (via menu -> Extras -> Other requests -> Add), I get an error message stating that no co-files where found for the transport.
Does anyone know this problem? I suspect it can have sothing to do with the use of a transport of copies, but, if I don't use this kind of transport, how can I get objects from other systems to production?

When you create a transport of copies you must indicate a terget system and I suppose you enter QAS(2) there. In that case the TMS will add the request to the import buffer of the target system when you export the request from DEV(2). I understand that you never have to add transports of copies to the import buffer of QAS(2) manually, which proves the TMS does this for you. However, for further imports into systems that are not designated as target system of the transport of copies, like PRD(2), the TMS will do nothing of the sort and you must add the request to the queue yourself - which in your case also means you have to forward the transport files first.

Yes, and that is the most common way of setting up the transport system. Having separate transport systems really only makes sense when sharing the transport directory between the dev, qas and prd systems (via NFS for UNIX, via network shares for Windows) is not possible, either because there is no local network between the servers or because some security policy forbids it. I'd advise you to certainly ask the question to your system admin.

you must extend the log complete, than you'll see the
object, which caused the error.
RC = is only warning:
All the objects were transported successfully.
Peculiarities occurred for certain objects. These might
not have been intentional.
Example: A warning is given during a transport if the request contains an object deletion. ...

Adding new column in production order component overview

Hi Experts,
Please let me know any enhancement or badi available to add a new column to production order component list. There is a business requirement to display the fixed bin in component list.

Sudhakar,
Check the MRP parameter 'Individual/Coll' in MRP4 view for the components. This should be set as 2 for collective planning. If this flag is left blank then planning will be based on the parent material (If the parent material is planned for special stock then the components will also be planned for special stock)

I am assuming a CRM E-Commerce scenario for my help here.
Can anyone tell me how to add new field/attribute in product catalog?
You must start from defining the new Attribute in an exisiting or new Set Type. Use transaction code COMM_ATTRSET. Once you have the attribute / attribute set defined, you can assign this to your catalog - in the header data as the Basic characteristic List.
to display product's new attribute on product catalog screen
See catalog/ProductDetailISA.jsp for tips - search for catalog.isa.attribute. The catalog item WebCatItem has all the details available already.

Hi,
After creating the table first activate the table
Check whether Delivery and maintenace
and Technical attribute tabs are maintained.
Once that is done transport that request to production.
To maintain the table in production you will have to create a maintenance view for the same

Logical standby issue after adding a new user at production db server

I am facing a issue related to logical standby db server where after adding a new user at production db server logical standby has stopped sql apply. Can anybody give some idea to find out the root cause and give some tips to resolve the issue.
tried below .....

Data transport from development too production system

Hi, friends
I created a house bank in development sever now i want to transport it in to production server so how can i transport it , please anyone give the solution urgently with screen shot

In the screen FI12 if you have filled all the relevant data, the system should propose teh request on its own. If you have missed and clubbed this in any other transport request, then you need to generate transport.
Fropm the Table view Menu select Transport. This will give you first transport request creation option and then you select the entries that you want to transport and then press button " Include in Transport".
Save entries and trans port.
