Transporting RFC Destinations
Hi All,
We will be doing a client copy of our QA server and before we go ahead with it, we need to transport the
RFC destinations so that we can import them later after the refresh.I have searched in some forums and
found the way of exporting from . Can anyone give me a SAP note or procedure of transporting RFC
destinations.
Regards,
Ershad Ahmed
Hi Subhash , Stefan and Prasanna ,
Thank you for the replies .
I tried this on my machine . went to SE01 -
created a transport request and then added Tables which were mentioned by Stefan and then i gave the target system and released the transport request.
After i released it i checked the logs and found this which says t hat 4908 entries had been exported
Summary:
1 COMML exported
1 COMMT exported
28 DELETE commands exported
Totally 4908 tabentries exported
are there any other steps which i need to do or im all set??

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me if I can export all my RFC destination information in a transport request or other form ?
Regards
LauranHi,
You cannot transport RFC Destinations directly. But there is a way,
Create a new Transport Request. After you have created the transport click on the request and in menu choose Request/Task and then Display. Goto change mode.
In PGMID give the value R3TR
In Obj give value TABU
In Object Name give RFCDES.
After that double click on table name entry. You will come to the screen: Transport organizer:Change Key List.
Here choose insert line. A new line with table name and key as the column headers will come up.
Double click on the Bobject Field. In the next screen you will get options to fill in the key.
You can insert key as per your choice. If you want to transport all the RFC Destinations give '*'. If you want to transport a RFC Des called say 'ABC' give the key as 'ABC'.
Release the transport and import it in the target system. -
RFC destination error in transport
Hello,
We are trying to import a transport into our BW QA system and we keep getting return code 8 with the following text:
BW RFC destination <systemname> is not maintained in the source system
Message no. R3078
The transport contains cubes and three ODSs. After the transport fails and I check the QA system, the cubes are active, but the ODSs are not.
I searched SDN and found another thread explaining the same problem and I tried everything suggested there. I looked in RSA1 --> Mapping of the source system names, and the BW DEV and QA systems are listed. I also looked in SM59 and checked the RFC connection, and that is ok as well.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
CharlaI have searched OSS further and found that the contents of my RSLOGSYSDEST table are off.
The contents are as follows:
Src System RFC Destination
AWQ100 AWP100
QAT100 QAT
I believe that in the above table, the AWP100 should be AWQ100. I looked at this table in our production environments, and in those cases the Src system entry and RFC Destination entry are the exact same, so I think this should be the case in our AWQ100 system as well.
Just curious if anyone knows if there is a program I can use to modify this table.
Thanks

After Transporting the request RFC Destination is empty in SWCV and BEA
Hi All,
we are using SAP NW Mobile 7.1 SP08
After transporting the SWCV & Backend adapter, in the transported system the RFC Destination is empty
Please help me to fix this issue.
Thanks and Regards,
Joseph Beevin.Hi,
When an SWCV is trnasported to a another system, the backend destination will be empty in the target system.,We need to configure the bakcned destination in the target sytem through the DOE Adimin.
DOE_ADmin Portal -->Configuration --->Backend Configuration.
In the backend configuration, select the SWCV for which the destination needs to be configured.Select the parameter "RFC DESTINATION FOR BACKEND"
When the SWCV is selected all the active Data Objects will be listed in the table below
Insert the above parameter to the parameter list(the table below)
Give the name of the availlable backemnd destination name in the "text value" column of the table for each data object and save it.
Now the backend destination is configured correctly in the target system. Please try this..

Export or transport all the RFC destination from one system to another syst
Hi
Is there any method to Export or transport all the RFC destination from one system to another systemHi,
the information is stored in table rfcdes. But there are also some other RFC*-tables which have some relations. Nevertheless the RFC-connectons will possibly not work anymore in the new system(depending on the release your systems are), as the passwords are stored in the Sec store with system-dependent keys.

Creating a transport containing RFC destination entries
Hello,
I hope someone can help me. I'm trying to remember the 3-4 tables which need to be exported to recreate RFC destinations. We are performing a refresh of our test system. Rather than re-create all the RFC's I'd like to make a tranport of them now and re-import them after the refresh. Does anyone know which tables I need?
Thanks,
BenHey Matt,
The link you sent points to the thread I just created.

How to find out, which RFC-Destinations are in use?
Hi community
We have a huge list of RFC-Destinations in our productive system and I want to delete unneeded entries.
Is there a report or a log, which shows, which RFC-Destinations were used, and when?
Thanks in advance.
Regards, MichaelHI
can you see the default trace in tcode SMGW, Be careful about deleting any system rfc.
Read the documentation about default RFC, internal RFC, LDAP_RFC, transport RFC.
I don't know other way to do that you need

Hi Experts,
I am doing User Exit for MIGO.
I have done it successfully.but problem comes when the email is sent to the vendor, MIGO is getting DUMP.
So, to cross check i have remove the User Exit of MIGO. but to my surprise when i press POST button in MIGO the similiar DUMP comes.
So wht is the solution for this.
For your Information DUMP message is:
Runtime Errors MESSAGE_TYPE_X
Date and Time 06.12.2007 14:57:55
Short text
The current application triggered a termination with a short dump.
What happened?
The current application program detected a situation which really
should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was
triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.

How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"MESSAGE_TYPE_X" " "
"SAPLMBWL" or "LMBWLU21"
"MB_POST_GOODS_MOVEMENT"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.

RFC destination error while importing a client request
Dear Experts,
We are trying to import a Client Export from our Prd system to Development System and we are unable to import the request as it pops up a RFC destination error.
We have checked the RFC in the Dev QAS and PRD related to TMSADM and all of them are working fine
FYI, We are able to release the transports from the development system and it can be moved till qas and prd . So the TMS Configuration is also good.
The data file and co file in the backend of development is the same size as that of the Prd system.
I am really stuck . Kindly suggest a solution . Please find the screenshots while importing
Regards,
Suratharajan .SHi Suratha,
Goto STMS->system overview and select the Communication tab.
Maintained the Instance number of the ASD system.
Once you maintained the instance number , you will able to see it in the RFC ASD.DOMAIN_ASD.
Also distribute the configuration after entering the instance number.

BPS retraction RFC destination conversion
Hello everybody,
I m surprised not having met a discussion about RFC destination conversion between systems for BPS retraction?
What is the common recommendation for BPS retraction to have your customizing adapted and to retract to your QUAL R/3 from your QUAL BPS system without having to replicate your customizing with hard coded RFC destination to allow every BPS system to retract to any R/3 system !! Why this does not read the RFC conversion table from BW, probably too easy ?
If you have feed back on this point I would really appreciate , many thanks .
Laurent AllaisHello Laurent,
I agree, it would be nice if the system would convert the RFC destinations. The functionality is just not there. You can use a single RFC destination for all systems and just have a different server that it is pointing to in SM59.
Or you just make a change in BPS0 after the transport. It's quite common for plan administrators to have access to BPS0.

Marc

System cancel RFC destination - /TMWFLOW/TRACK_N107
Hello Experts,
In ChaRM, when i release transport request from DEV to QAS occurs the error below:
"System cancel RFC destination SM_D01CLNT210_TMW, Call The name or password ins't correct.
Message no. /TMWFLOW/TRACK_N107"
I've checked in the SM59 all connections to DEV and to QAS environment and all are OK.
What's wrong with my ChaRM? Is possible to be a autorization problem?
Thanks to all,
FS.Hello Fabio

Doubt about RFC Destination in FILE to IDOC Async scenario
hi
In FILE-XI-IDOC Async Scenario we are creating RFC Destination in R/3 and XI.
For Asyn we don't want response But We are Creating RFC Destination in R/3 also.
Any specific reason.
Thanks in advance.First you need to have a clear understading of how the idoc adapters works.
In xi we create rfc destination and specify that in the port maintenance on the idoc adapter so that we can establish a connection to the sender / receiver system which contains the IDOC METADATA (IDX2) that is required by the idoc adapter to convert the native idoc into idoc xml format.
In R/3 as sender we create rfc destination so that when the idoc has to be transported to the xi system first it will be sent to trfc port that rfc desination that u define the trfc port contains that the target system address(IP) and logon parameters req.So idoc can be sent to the desired destination.
In R/3 as a receiver to facilitate communication we define rfc dest, partner profile and specify the inbound parameters so that idoc can be posted.
Hope this answers your ques.
cheers

Calling Remote enabled Function module in java using RFC Destination
Hi
We are on Portal 7.3 ehp1 sp9.
Steps followed are :
RFC Destination called “SAP_RFC” has been created as below :
Configuration -> Destinations -> RFC Destinations
Connection and Transport:
Load balancing :Yes
Provided : SystemID / MS Server / MS Server Service / Logon Group / Gateway Host / Gateway Service
SNC : Inactive
Logon Data:
Authentication : Current User (Assertion Ticket)
Language : EN
Client : XXX
Repository Connection:
Destination Name : This Destination
Specific Data:
pooled Connection Mode : Yes
Max : 5
Size : 10
Max. wait time : 10,000
Ping Destination results : Successfully connected to System XXX as per user XXXXXXX.
JAVA Code as Follows:
JCoDestination destination = JCoDestinationManager.getDestination("SAP_RFC");
//destination.ping();
JCoRepository repository = destination.getRepository();
JCoFunction function = repository.getFunction("FM_NAME");
function.execute(destination);
Lines highlighted in RED color throwing an error as below :
{"ERROR":"Initialization of destination JCO_RFC failed: Incomplete logon data. on <SID> mshost <MS_HOST>/ com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (103) JCO_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: Incomplete logon data. on SID mshost MS_HOST"}
And found that no COOKIE with the name “SAP_SESSIONID_<system>_<client>” was not found, I am afraid that “Assertion Ticket” was not created in above scenario.
To confirm SSO configuration working, i have followed below steps:
1) Created System Object pointing to R/3 and tests were successful for authentication type "SSOLOGONTICKET / ASSERTIONTICKET"
It's J2EE application, no references or any other additional configuration been made part from above.
Any help ?
ThanksHere is log ..Assertion ticket could not be retrieved. Error was null

To get the RFC destination dynamically

is there any Standard FM to get the RFC destinations dynamically. if so tell me what are the parameter i need to give for that.

thanks in advance,,,,Pradeep,
I recently had to do this in a program. I used the following select statement:
SELECT SINGLE rfcdest INTO gv_rfc FROM crmrfcpar
WHERE consumer = 'CRM'.
In the system I was working on, there was only one entry in the table per system with a consumer of CRM. You should probably check the entries in the table in your system to determine the correct select logic.
