Transporting Transport Request from One System to other

Hi All,
I want to create tranport request from ECC 5.0 System to ECC 6.0 system.
Please let me know steps for creating transport request and transporting transport request from one system to other system.

Hi,
You cannot transport request from ECC5.0 to ECC6.0.
Instead follow this:
In ECC5.0
Include all the objects into a transport request & provide the transport request no. to BASIS.
BASIS team will create 2 files for you based on the transport request no.
in ECC6.0
Provide the 2 files to BASIS Team & ask them to import them.
The objects would be available in ECC6.0

I have generated one transport request in one of the client in Development server.Now as it is customizing request so unless and until i transport it to other client within the same server, Changes will not be visible in other clients.So how to transport this customizing request from one client to other client within the same server.

Release your Transport Request via SE10, then go to STMS & import the request first to your quality server, then to your production server.

How i can copy my transport request from one system to another system

hi,
i want to copy all my code means( programs,tcode,class,FM...every thing.) which is under a transport request, now i want to copy all this code same as it is in another system
eg.
i have all my objects in for example D10 now i want all my code in some another system for e.g in D30.
how it is possible....

Hi Vipin,
Check tcode SE03 for transport related issues.
as suggested by all the TR needs to be released from the current system to make it ready to be transported to next system.
Once you release the request ask your basis administrator to transport the request to D30.
Before releasing the request check with the basis administrator if the target system has been set to D30.

Transport request from development system to testing system

Hi,
I have collected necessary objects in (development) the transport request except 0DUNN_AREA infoObject .Because info object 0COMP_CODE is compounded with Info object 0DUNN_AREA and 0COMP_CODE is in revised version in development system (But available in active version in testing). Suppose I release that transport request from development system to testing system it get overwrite 0COMP_CODE in testing system?

Depending the same technical names it will get overwrite in the testing server. But if the object 0DUNN_AREA is necessary in any objects which u have collected then u havce to collect it in the rtequest or else u will get RC8.

Move transport requests from one landscape to another

HI Gurus,
   I am facing a situation where i need to import the Transport Request from one landscape to another.
    Consider i have two landscapes DE1 TE1 PE1 and DE2 TE2 PR2. and both the landscapes are on
    different release.
     I have created a Transport Request DE1Kxxxxxx.
     And now i want to use this transport request in the other landscape of DE2 TE2 PR2.
   How can i do that. Is there any process in using the Transport Request created in another landscape of different release.
Please guide me.

Just do manual copy of both data and cofile to second landscape...there you need to change the naming conventions(SID)....But it will works only that is a customizing request...cause developments will depends upon installation nubers....

You need to configure Transport Management System between these two system by following Configuring TMS - Software Logistics - SAP Library and by considering below detailed steps:
1. After SAP Gui installed. (Development system is always domain controller.)
2. Logon to Client :000User: DDIC.Pwd: ******
3. Put a T-code (se06) in the command field
4. Click standard installation and click post installation (yes)
5. Put a T-code (STMS) in the command field and give a description then save it.
6. Click System overview push botten, click extras option from the menu and click Distribute and activate configuration. (Yes)
7. Back to the stms main screen and click Transport routes from the push botten
8. Click Configuration button from the Menu.
9. Click Distribute and activate from the configuration menu.
10. Now your sap system is activate in domain controller.
11. Now logon to QAS system.
12. Client: 000User: DDICPwd: ****
13. Put a T-code (se06). In the command field.
14. Click standard installation and click post installation (yes)
15. Put a T-code (STMS) in the command field.
16. Click other Configuration push butten in the bottom of appear screen.
17. Give information about development system.
18. Then save it. OK
19. Now QAS is waiting for include domain controller.
20. Logon to Development system.
21. Click system overview push butten.
22. Click sap system from the menu.
23. Select the QAS systems.
24. Click Approve butten from the sap system menu.
25. Now QAS is member system of domain Controller. (Development system)
26. Suppose if you want configuring Production also, following the same step in the QAS.

Problem in moving the code from one system to other system

I am working on building a webservice. I started building the EJB teir compnents like (Entity beans, Sessions beans, data base schemas) using the SUN ONE STUDIO 5 and SUN ONE App Server 7.0.
The problem, if I want to move the same entity beans code from one computer to other computer.
I am using same platform except the operating system (XP, and Windows 2000), apart from this every thing is same (Sun one studio 5, sun one app server 7.0). The Entity beans are working on the source computer and tested the beans. But When I moved the code to other computer, I compiled the entity beans code and it compiled perfectly. Then I tested the entity bean, I generated the test client, and deployed it. Till now no problem. When I tried to excute it and invoke the functions then it giving the following error:
Is there any solution, so that I can avoid coding from scrath again when I want to use same on other computer.

Sending cost centers from one system to other system( different landscape)

Hi SAP gurus,
Can some one please let me know how to send the cost centers created in one system to other ssytem,
my requirement is sending cost centers from one sytem to other system:
1. when a new cost center created
2. when any changes happend to existing Cost centers.
The two system are in different landscapes.
please let me know what are configs we need to do for working this functionality.

Transporting objects of request from one system to another

Hi.
I have created 10 tables and 5 views in one SAP system and written
them under common request ( request # = DCEK915035 ).
Then I released that request and I saw using AL11 transaction
that two files appeared in following directories:
Directory                                         File name
/usr/sap/trans/data/                          R915035.DCE
/usr/sap/trans/cofiles/                       K915035.DCE
So, I don't want to create those tables and views in another system again.
How to transport these files to another system in correct way to achieve my purpose.

If the DCE system and the target system share a common transport directory then you can directly import your request into the import buffer queue of the target system and import it.
Second option is to ask your basis team to copy&paste the transport request files into the required directories on the target system.
Third option is to do it yourself if you have transaction CG3Y (Download ApplServer -> PC) and CG3Z (Upload PC -> ApplServer) available and you have the authorizations to write these files on the target system.

We have created macro in quality system, now how do i transport the same to production.
We can do it through transportation of planning book, but is there any method only to transport the macro.
Also one option is to re create it in other system, but i donot want to do that.
We can find a transport option in the macro work bench. Can we use that??

Now I have the question if there is any possibility to change the client-relation of a transport request via SE01 (or similar transaction). Copy and Paste of the element list isn't the optimal way, because there are also table contents in the transport request.
Can you give me a hint?

Yes you can change the traget client.
Check the TR properties and set the taget client .

How to transport a Screen variant from one system to other

Hi All,
I created a screen variant in Dev. It was included in a transport request. But when I transported the request to Quality, The transaction is not behaving according to the screen variant. i.e. Screen variant has not got transported there.
Please help me out what can be done in this regard.

Check the status of the request which u have transported, whether it includes the screen variant also.
