Transporting Z Tables and overwriting entries

Howdy!
I think I just want some re-assurance from you really, if you could please help.
I have a ZTable and it is a transportable table (of delievry class C) and it used to determine which number range is used for which billing document types for each sales org.
Now this table exists in DEV, QA and LIVE.
What I would like to check with you is that if I do get this table's transports moved, will this only add the new entries and not overwrite the whole table in QA and LIVE the last thing I want to do is lose the extra entries in LIVE!

So, that means that the entries for these keys in ZNUM will be taken from your development system and will then overwrite what is in your QA and LIVE systems.
Importantly, it will take the entries for these keys from the table when the change request is <b>released</b>. So if it is already released, then you need to be confident that you know the entries that were in ZNUM when it was released.
So, if you have no problems with the contents of the table ZNUM with the keys:
ZNUM 100SE01F4
ZNUM 100SE01FP
ZNUM 100SE01IV
ZNUM 100SE01L2
ZNUM 100SE01LG
being transported to QA and LIVE, then you can go ahead and transport.
If you don't want the entries with these keys to overwrite what you have in QA and LIVE then don't transport.

Entries
Create entries by Se11-> utilities-> table content -> create entries
For Transport
Go to SE10.
Click on the 'Create' icon.
Select 'Workbench Request'(assuming your table is not customizing table).
Enter description and click 'Save'.
Put cursor on the task (lower number of the two) and in menu, 'Request/task>Change Type>Development/correction'.
With cursor on the task(lower number), click 'Object List' icon on the toolbar.
Once in, you need to toggle to 'Change' mode using the pencil icon.
Then click on 'New Entries'. Now add the R3TR, TABU, <ZTAB> in the first row.
Again in the menu, select 'Extras>Change object function>Key according to key list'.
Now go to the menu, 'Goto-->Key list'. In the subsequent screen, click on 'Insert line' icon(with a + sign).
Click on 'Key fields' button and it will now allow you to enter the values for each key field.

Transporting Z table entries to QA and Prod

Hi Guys,
I have z table (has field MANDT) with delivery class A and no table maintenance in Dev box with 600 records. I need to delete 3 records and change 10 records and then transport them to QA and Prod. I am not adding new records.
I created one CUSTOMIZING transport.
I am using SE16 -> Table Entry -> Transport Entries. It is asking for workbench transport instead of Customizing transport.
Can I transport the deleted and changed entries using WORKBENCH transport?

Can i transport the table and table maintainace generator and function group of the table with in single request or not.
One more thing is when i transport the table maintainance generator,will the entries also be transport to another system or not.

Go to SE54-> Utilities-> Total Transport. The following things are transported.
The total transport transports the complete maintenance dialog:
authorization group
authorization group assignment
control entry
events
function groups
maintenance objects
variants
Content wont be transported it seems.

Hi there!!!
go to Txn SE09, create a request type "Workbench Request".
1 . Go to the Sub task, select the 'Objects' Tab.
2. Enter the Program ID - R3TR
                  Object       - TABU
                  Object Name - (Your Required Table Name)
3. Now Press the Function Button on the right, Enter the Table Key, which is nothing but the value of the primary key fields of row to be sent, typed as one.
eq. to send material number 1 from MARA in client 100, following would be the table key:
100000000000000000001
where first 3 characters are for the client
and the remaining 18 characters are for the material number.
Another simple method would be to-
1. execute Txn se16 and display the required Table Contents.
2. Select the rows to be sent, by selecting the check boxes corresponding to those rows, and then selecting the Menu Option
Menu->Table Entry -> Transport Entries.
3. Create a request.
    the enties would be included in the request.

Transport the table not just the DDIC structure

I had a table in Dev as a local object. I assigned a package to the database table as follows.
Goto->Object Directory Entry -> Here click on edit mode --and enter the package name.
When I transported the object to QDF only the DDIC structure was transorted and not the table. How do I transport the table and not just the DDIC structure? Thanks,

What do you mean by entire table?
Do you mean that the table contents should also be transported?
Table contents will be transported only if you have included them in a customising request and you table is of type customising(C).

Transport of infotype and data table to other client

Hi all,
I have made a custom infotype - 9002 and a data base table zpa9002. I put some entries in this table. By mistake I saved both the infotype and table in local objects - $tmp. I have changed the package of database table and created the request for it.
I am not able to change the attributes of infotype(9002) i.e. am not able to change its package from $temp to something else. Can anyone please let me know how to change that and what else to do to transport the complete infotype to other client.
Anothet thing I want to ask is - if I transport the database table to the other client, all the contents or data will also be transported or I have to do it manually?

Hi,
If you transport a table, by default, the data <b>will not be</b> transported. you will have to do it manually.
You can include the entry R3TR TABU <table name> in the piecelist.

Transporting custom table with entries

I need to convert one custom table to client specific, I deleted entries in table and added MANDT field in development server. In Production already entries are there in the table, can i transport the table from development now? will it affect the entries? or if i enter all the entries in development and transport, will the table get all the entries with MANDT field?

Please enter all entries in dev(take ALL form Prod), then trasnport new version of table to Q->P.
By doing so, your existing data in P will be retained and u'll have client spec. table in P.

APO Bapi - ERROR - No entry found in transportation indicator table for fol

Iam being doing BAPI for transportation lane to add new material through the bapi BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI
iam passing the following to BAPI
    Logical system
    model
and in tables .
    TRANSPORT_LANE
    TRANSPORT_LANEX
    PROD_PROCUREMENT
    PROD_PROCUREMENTX
    LOCATION_FROM    = '1010'.
    LOCTYPE_LOC_FROM = '1001'.
    LOCATION_TO =   '1101'.
    LOCTYPE_LOC_TO = '1001'.
the above data is common for passing all the four bapi tables and in
addition iam passing
prod-valfr = Converted value by passing to FM - IB_CONVERT_INTO_TIMESTAMP.
prod-valto = Converted value by passing to FM - IB_CONVERT_INTO_TIMESTAMP.
prod-product = material number.
AFter excuteing bapi iam getting an error
No entry found in transportation indicator table for following objects
the above error occured when passed the given data to bapi table - PROD_PROCUREMENT
if we pass the data to   PROD_PROCUREMENT and   PROD_PROCUREMENTX
then there is no error in table return of bapi but the data is not uploaded in transportation lane.
I will really appreciate if some guide me where iam wrong or some other solution for this .

Transport of Table entries to another Client.

Hello All,
I have a case where a Custom Issue resolution program has been created. We use this interface for logging support issues internally, and the facility for creating the attachments is also provided.(SU53 screens etc). With an onset requirement of System copy, i would like to save these Table data as all the issues are logged in the Issue tracker tables along with attachments.
Can any one let me know how to safegauard this data and save it from wiping out due to system copy.
The tracker is in QTY system and it is having 3 clients. 100,200,300. We are trying to perfrom the system copy on only 100 client and export 200 and 300 and reimport after system copy. So is there any way to transfer this data to 300 and then safely put it bvack to 100 ???

Hi Sri,
If all data you want to save, is stored in Z- or Y-tables, you can always use a normal transport to save the entry's. Thereby it is not necessary to save the tables in another client, that afterwards again is exported, reimported, and then transport the tables back to old client.
In short, you can do the following:
1) Create a new transport request
2) Add the tables to be saved in the transport request.
3) release the transport
4) Do the system copy
5) Add the previous transport to the importqueue after the system copy.
6) Import the transport into your (new) client 100.
I hope this short guideline helps you in usable direction.

BPM question - Delete all entries in a table and Insert data

I'm new to PI BPM and have this scenario to implement.
I'm supposed to delete all entries in a table and then insert data to the same table.
Is BPM necessary? If it is, what is the best practice to implement my scenario?
I want to make sure that all entries were successfully deleted before insert data.
How do I check if all entries in the table were deleted successfully before
initiating insert.

Hi Won,
Yes, this is possible without BPM.
You have to create 2 separate mappings, each for deleting & inserting the records.
You will have 2 different Interface mappings as well.
But in ID, create a single interface determination.
In that, configure Deletion interface mapping first and in the second row, configure Insertion interface mapping.
Please make sure that the parameter 'Mainain Order At runtime' is checked in interface determination.

Use transaction SE09 to see the transport request created for the migration . use the display task for that transport & check if there is an entry for table maintainence for that table. It should be of like below.
R3TR TOBJ Table nameS

If u want to see the content of Dimension table and Fact table for a infocube then just right click on a particular info cube then select manage . Select coneten tab there , form there u can either select Fact table to see the fact table conten or Infocube content to see the Dimensiontable content.

Hi Prasad,
All the Modules in SAP are inter related,
So their Tables also must be related and must be valid
and they are related to foreign key relation ships
and also we can provide the list of input values using search helps
to know what the search helps and check tables are assigned to the particular field they provided the tab
In the currency fields or quanitiy fields we only enter the amount but not the units,
so the units are assigned if we provide the reference field and table , and so that tab is provided to check what are reference fields and tables and also to assign new fields
