  • Transportation group at delivery header

    Dear Friends,
while creating the delivery from some of the plants transportation group not determined at delivery header level, but i can find the same at item level.
Can you please let  me know how it gets determined at header level, if there is any specal setting required.
customer is  having the shipping condition
Material is having the transportation group
    route is determined properly..
the only the proble is transportation zone at delivery header level.
can you treat this one as top prioiry and let me know.
    thanks
    Raju.

if it there then only it gets determined at the dlivery item level
I know very well this but wanted you to check whether any deletion is made in the meanwhile.
for few of the cases it is working fine
What those few cases are ??  Different delivery type ??  Different Material code ??  You need to analyse this and compare in your system.

  • Error checking transport group configuration in System BQS

    Hi Everyone,
I made a client export from Production to Quality. It went successfully,, I noted the requests numbers and transported them from PRD to Quality, but while transporting there was a tp error(which i did not note), next i went to the quality import queue and saw all the 3 requests had come. But when i click the adjust queue icon im getting the following error message "Error checking transport group configuration in System BQS" .  Afterwards i tried to delete the requests from quality to retransport  from production but still im not able to delete those requests from quality. Can anyone help me solve this.
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hello Rahul,
    regarding the error message:
"Error checking transport group configuration in system"
It's mostly related to the TMSADM RFC destination. Kindly follow the below mention steps:
    1. Logon to client 000 with user DDIC.
    2. STMS   > System   > Overview   > Select the system in which you are logged in   > Click on the menu says EXTRAS   > Generate RFC Destinations
Perform the above steps in all the systems configure in your TMS. This should resolve the issue.

  • How to manage transport groups in SLD

    Hi all,
I am facing some problems while trying to create/assign transports groups to the Business systems in my SLD. (i am using PI 7.0)
I have only 2 XI boxes (one for DEV and the other one for PRD) BUT my R/3 landscape consists of 3 environments (DEV, QA and PRD). I created 3 groups in the SLD but i had to assign every group to a Integration server, so i couldnt
Could you please give me some help about how to handle this kind of scenarios??
    Any ideas or examples?
Thanks in advance for your support,
    David de Miguel

Do you have 1 central SLD or local on each XI?
What is the issue you are having specifically?
Have you tried creating the 2 'true' XI groups and assigning every DEV system to the DEV group and all PROD systems to PROD group.
You can choose to assign your QA to DEV group - your only QA objects should be the backend - this is not mandatory.
Make the promotion (source-target) assignment for the groups as follows DEV --> PROD
Since you are moving IR and ID objects across these groups then it will work correctly.

  • Transportation group field in Material master..Sales/Plant data tab.

    Hello Gurus,
The transportation group field in material master is Material specific or a plant specific?? caz whenever i am changing this transportation group field in one plant it is also updating with the same value in all the plant for the common material even though the Company code and Country are different forall the plants.
Hope to hear from you soon as its a very high priority production issue..
    regards
    Rikinl

The transportation group field in material master is Material specific or a plant specific??
Its material specific.  Even if you have multiple sales areas or plants and if you change the transportation group, the change will be applicable for those areas also.

  • Three system TMS in one transport group, error tp parameter in QAS

    Hi,
There is 3 system TMS, which is DEV (phycial system, transport domain controller), QAS (virtual system), PRD (virtual system).
And I tried to replace the virtual QAS with the phycial QAS with these steps:
    1. excute STMS in DEV,delete the virtual QAS
    2. in QAS, configure STMS with transport domain_DEV
    3. in DEV,approve QAS as the sytem of transport domain_DEV (the QAS shows with transport group QAS)
    4. changed the QAS transport group from group QAS to group DEV
    5. configure and active the transport route as standard 3 system TMS
after the below steps, I checked system overview in STMS, in QAS, the tp parameter shows the transport directory is the local trans directory, not the transport directory in DEV. That's why I I can not find any transport queue in QAS system. But the file TP_DOMAIN_DEV also exist in the trans\bin directory of QAS.
    after that,
1.I added the full authorization of trans directory for user sapserviceDEV and sapserviceQAS,
2.I cleared the files in the trans directory of QAS
3.I cleared the configuration of QAS,and reconfigued it
But I got the same error message.
Note: when I install the QAS,I fill in the hostname of QAS as the transport host.
    How can I fix it?
    Thanks in advance.
    BR,
    Randy

    Hello Randy,
May be there is something wrong in how the set up in TMS for QAS was done. Please refer this link and ensure all steps were taken:
Re: STMS Configuration - Change Virtual System with Real System
I mean did you delete STMS in QAS originally?

  • Transportation Group and Shipping condition fields in Route determination

    Hello Guys,
Please, I heard that if I leave Transportation Group and Shipping conditions field empty Route determination would consider whatever value I put in Material/Custumer Master.
But the determination just happen if I put the exact value in either the determination and the Material Master for Transportation Group field for example.
Have you ever determined Routes leaving the fields empty?
    Thank you,
    Regards,

    Hi,
Those fields Transportation Group and Shipping conditions available in Route Determination are essential to trigger the correct route in Sales Order level.
If blank the available routes need to be picked manually at Sales Order level.
    Kindly check .

  • SLD Business transport groups

    Hello,
I inherited a PI 7.1 system.  I'm trying to determine if the current SLD transport groups are setup correctly.  We currently have two SLDs:  Design time (BS_DEV, BS_QA) and runtime (BS_PRD).
The current configuration is as follows:
    In the design time SLD
Business system BS_Dev (development) is in the BS_DEV_GROUP and has a target group BS_QA_GROUP with a target system BS_QA.  I think this is correct.
Business system BS_QA is in the BS_QA_GROUP  and has a source group BS_DEV with the source group BS_DEV_GROUP with business system BS_DEV.  But, there is no target for this system.  I think it should be the BS_PRD system in the BS_PRD_GROUP.
In the second SLD, the runtime SLD has the following configuration:
The BS_DEV system is part of the BS_DEV_GROUP and has a target system of BS_PRD in the BS_PRD_GROUP.  The BS_QA system has no source system and no target.  I think this is wrong.  The DEV_PRD system has a source system of BS_DEV of BS_DEV_GROUP.  There is no reference to the BS_QA system.
Also, when the BS_QA system is configured it should have a source system BS_DEV system and a target system BS_QA, right?
I think this is configured to bypass the QA system.  Do you agree?  Sorry for the long post.  Oh,, CTS+ is working.

    Hi George,
Business system BS_Dev (development) is in the BS_DEV_GROUP and has a target group BS_QA_GROUP with a target system BS_QA.
This setting is fine, just that the BS_QA should point towards the BS_PRD.
Well, Technically this is not exactly wrong. Means, as you have mentioned, you inherited this environment. So, might be the QA was facing some technical issues for which QA was being by-passed, rather QA was being isolated.
Architecturally, this is completely wrong. So, you might have to change this and point the systems in the right directions.
Let us know if you have more queries.

  • Transport Groups: One Technical System targets two technical systems

    Hi guys,
One question relating to transport groups.
Is it possible to define for one technical system which belongs to one group, let's say DEV, two target Business Systems which belong to another group, let's say PRD?
    Meaning,
    Technical System XPTO targets:
       Group PRD   Tech System: XPTO2
       Group PRD   Tech System: XPTO3
    Thanks

    Hi VJ,
Sorry, wrong word...I meant Tech System to 2 Tech Systems.
Having DEV System targeted to QLD and PRD tech system which are on the same group.
DEV Tech System targets to group
Group PRD  : QLD Tech System
Group PRD  : PRD Tech System

  • Need of having more transport groups in a single transport domain

need of having more transport groups in a single transport domain

    Hello,
Transport domain is all systems managed using one domain controller.
Transport group is systems sharing the common transport directory.
There is no rule concerning the transport groups, some landscapes have their DEV and QAS systems sharing the same tansport dir and production having its own transport directory. Which means this landscape will have 2 groups.
This is just to keep your production system isolated.

  • Why create transport group

    Hi PI Gurus,
We create transport groups in SLD and assign respective BS in that (Source and Target) so that when transporting the objects,
the corresponding BS should point to respective system (QA or PRD).
Is this is the only reason why we create transport groups or without creating the groups we also can transport the objects.
    Regards,
    Krishna Chauhan

    Hi,
Is this is the only reason why we create transport groups
to avoid to rewrite manually in QA a complete flow, eventually with BPM(s) and several senders / receivers, that's for me an enough reason to win time and to avoid new error due to a bad manual action...in QA... but also after that in PROD (which will be worst)
or without creating the groups we also can transport the objects.
without a transport group, in the best behaviour (if it's best), you have in QA a flow with Dev systems... but I think now (I wish) with SolMan / CTS you should have an error in your transport (tx STMS).
That's funny, I never tested it.... perhaps, because I don't want to rewrite a complete flow
    regards
    Mickael

  • Inbound delivery - transport group, field selection of.

    Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to enter the transport packing unit (as distinct from the order unit) in the inbound delivery header (VL31N) > unload > trans.group. But this field is presently greyed out. Could someone tell me how to make it active by making it an optional entry field.

I´m still no find the solution.
    some idea?

  • Transport Groups - How many?

    Hi guys,
One question related to Transport OBjects in XI.
    I've one central SLD.
I've one XI in a development environment and a XI in a production environment.
I've three R3's systems, one DEV, one TST and one PRD.
In groups and targets maintenance, in my point of view I'd have 3 groups.
In DEV group I'd have my R3 DEV System and the XI DEV.
In TST group I'd have my R3 TST System and the XI DEV.
And in PRD group I'd have my R3 prd System and the XI PRD.
But I'm having some difficulties associating the TST group to my R3 TST system. Since both R3 DEV and TST have the same XI environment I'm not able to add a target pointing R3 DEV to R3 TST.
    What ideas do you suggest?

    Hi VJ,
    Thanks for the quick response.
OK, so i will R3 DEV and R3 TST associated to XI DEV and all of them grouped into DEV group. In PRD group I'll have R3 PRD and XI PRD.
One question.... SLD only allows me to add the PRD target to the R3 DEV system.... How can I map R3DEV into R3TST?

  • Transporting groups

Hello! We´ve to move the pcd and the km from Developing server to the Testing server. I created an
EPA file in SystemAdministration>Transport>Export, downloaded it to my computer, and then in the Testing Server I went to SystemAdministration>Transport>Import and imported the EPA. Everything went right, but.. when i opened the iviews permissions, the groups I had assigned to them in the Developing Server, didn´t appear. I went to UserAdministration, and discovered that the roles were transported but the groups not.
The answer is: How can I transport the groups, from one server to another and, how can I transport the pcd content from one server to another without losing the permissions of its iViews, Pages, etc?
    Thanks in advance!
    Marco.

    Hi Marco,
you need to create your transport package in a specific mode for the permissions to be included. Check this help documentation.
