Transrer Error from Zen Touch to

Hi hope somebody can help. I need to transfer all my files ( 9056MB ) from my Zen touch onto my pc.Everything seems to be going ok up until about 300 tracks in. Then I get a a " transfer error " message. It reads " Unable to read file. File may be in use, missing or corrupted" This applies to all the remaining tracks not to any one specifically. I am using the latest firmware and Mediasource updates. I have looked at other forum messages and this seems like a problem that does not have a definiti've answer that can help me.
Any help would be much appreciated

You say you are using the latest firmware, is this the v2 PlaysForSure firmware? If so there is a hotfix available from Microsoft which you can download here. I suggest you download the other 2 first then the one for the file transfer error.

Can't play music from Zen Touch in MediaSou

When I am running MediaSource and I tell it to play a song off my Zen Touch, it goes into the playlist and looks like it's playing fine except... no sound comes through the speakers! Does anyone know what's going on here?

Successfully backup all the music files and playlists on the hard dri've but cannot get Creative Media Source to recognize the Vision. XP, device manager acknowledges it and shows up in the windows directory but can't synch there. Media Player sees it as well but it doesn't acknowledge/see my backup playlist files.
Who's the hero out there?

- Well I never owned a Touch, but all my other Creative players did show up in explorer.. even when I used MediaSource on windows xp sp2.
The support site also lists it as a possibility.

Hi. So this is my first message, and I've just purchased a Vision M. I already have a 3 year old Touch, 40GB. I love it, I just wanted an upgrade, and like the compatibility I find with the Creative line.
I have nearly 5 GB of music/audio files on my Touch... nearly every single CD I own is on it. (I think I've a bit of audiophile in me... :P )
So here is my question: Is there any way I can transfer the music I have on my Touch to the Vision M without having to load it all back up on my computer? (some of it is there, just not all of it..) It would be so much easier if there were a compatibility driver of sorts to transfer the files from one player to the next more quickly. I realize that the chances of this are slim, and I've never heard of it on any other platform, but you never know. I did use the Creative MediaSource Organizer to transfer all the files, and they are all in the same format (MP3). If anyone has any information regarding this, it would be greatly appreciated.

have you tried plugging both into the computer at the same time? If you can do that, what shows up in windows explorer?
If they both show up then it would seem that simple drag and drop would work.

The screen in zen touch.

I have a question about changing the screen in my Zen touch. Can I put the screen from Zen touch 20Gb to Zen touch 40GB? I now that the difrence is only 0,3 cm but I must be shure...Greetings

I have problem with my screen (it have a rainbow spot) and I must to chang it. The guarante service can change it but I must have to 00 euros . The computer service in my city tell me that there is possibility to change it when i bring them the same for example broken player with good LCD. Ther must be the same matrix ,then they will change it.

Creative Zen Touch Error Mess

When I attempt to send music from my Music Library to my Creative Zens Touch, an error message always manages to pop-up and unable me to transfer any music. This happens everytime I attempt to send music, and it has become a repetiti've impediment when I transfer music. This is the error message:

Error messages when transferring to Zen Touch with Creative MediaSource Organi

Hello all,
My name is Allana and my lovely fiance bought me a Zen Touch for our 6 year anni'versary. I already love it dearly but transferring MP3s using MediaSource Organizer is a real nightmare.
It will transfer about 5-0 tracks then I will get a 'Server Busy, switch or retry' error, which is quickly followed by a 'Player is not connected or is busy' error.
Has anyone else experienced these errors? What did you do to fix it's
It is taking me absolutely ages to transfer tracks at this rate.

Connection problems can be due to a lot of reasons.

New Zen touch won't download from Windows Media Pla

My computer does not recognize the Zen Touch when trying to download music to the Touch. The USB appears to be working on my hp loaded with XP. Cannot download from Real Player either. Cleaning the Creative disk did not help. What am I doing wrong?

Basically you do the reverse of how you got it onto the player to begin with. You will open up mediasource, select the Zen Touch in the left hand source window, select PC Music Library on the right hand side. Select your songs and press the arrow pointing to the right.

Transfering Files from a Zen Touch to a Zen Vis

I had a Zen Touch and managed all my files in Creative MediaSource and it was very simple. I now have thousands of songs on my hard dri've and can't seem to figure out how to transfer them properly. I tried to synchronize, but it seems to be duplicating, naming songs as albums, not capturing all songs in an album, etc. I've also tried to drag and drop and that doesn't seem to be working for me either. Is there any easy way for me to download all songs as they currently appear in my Mediasource? Also, should I delete all the files I have already copied over that are incorrect and start from scratc?. Any help would be much appreciate because I am definitely at my wit's end!? Thank you.

Take a look at skydrive. Thats what I use. I save all my files on there and not my harddrives.

If you have both the player and you're using MediaSource, just connect both the player to the computer, select one of the player as source and the other as destination and just transfer over it. Note, protected content will not be transfer over though.

Zen touch from firmware 2.11.1.0 back to 1.1.3.0 or earl

Hi,?Does anyone know how to revert back to firmware ..3.0 or earlier for the zen touch 20gb? I just installed 2...0 and I really dislike the sound quality. I know the website says this is not possible. Please tell me this is not true!?Thanks for your time?btw Be warned, unless you really?need to, think twice before installing. I don't know if other people have suffered a big loss in sound quality after installing new firmware, would be great to know if you did.

There are alternative ways of how you can recompile or recreate on least if you are unable to compile the object.
1. Run compile apps schema from add one
2. compile using utlrp script ( u have tried this)
3. compile using adcompsc.sql script located at $AD_TOP/sql
4. If none of this work you may recreate the object using *.pls or *.plb file located at OS level, you may find which binary file with the help of user_objects dictionary (otherwise simply use toad or third party softwares to identify and recreate them)

Problems with ripping files from my cds to Zen Touch via Mediasource pla

This is a problem I have had recently. I run Windows XP and have a Zen Touch which is a really decent player. However, just recently I have been unable to rip any CD tracks from my ample collection and put them on the Zen touch. I always get a little dialogue box which says CDrom doesn't support file ripping. Try the Recording function. It has done this even on CDs whose tracks I ACTUALLY put on the Zen touch already without any problem. Why is it doing this now?
I have tried re-installing the Zen touch cd a number of times but to no avail.

Thanks for that. I have been going around in frustration with this thing for a few nights. Even my husband is at a loss with it and he knows more about this stuff than I do.
I have effected a temporary solution to the problem which is to rip cd tracks using Nero Startsmart which converts them to MP3 no problem. I have also tried using the Media Player as well. Now all I have to do is download from the MP3 folder the tracks I have already ripped and load them onto the Zen.
What I don't understand about all of this is that the MediaSource Software was working okay until this month.

No, I am afraid it isn't possible. At least, I found this on the "Notmad Explorer" website:
Q:Can I transfer files directly from a digital camera to my player?
A:This is an interesting idea, but unfortunately, the players do not have the hardware or firmware necessary to directly communicate with other USB devices such as cameras. There's nothing we can do about this in software.

Hi there people, i'm really interested in getting the creative zen touch 20 GB mp3 player. My only concern is that the product will be coming from Australia. Since I'm living in the UK, I'm not so sure if Creative UK would honor my warranty claim if necessary.
Does any of you guys have a similar situation as me? The seller is a legitimate one and they will send me a tax invoice and receipt.

Yes, your warranty will apply, but for the same period as it would in Australia, so the warranty period from the country of purchase applies, not from the country you'll be living in.
