Trash has stuff in it after starting up

Question

I recently reset my NVRAM through open firmware, but I used two commands (reset-nvram, reset-all) even though I know there’s a third one you’re supposed to use. Whenever I start up now, even though it’s much faster than before, there is a folder named Recovered Files in the trash that shouldn’t be there. Also, some apps now lag noticeably when first starting them after a cold boot. How do I stop this from happening? Thanks very much. Peace.
