Trash L8 Prefs And Then Recall My Pref Settings?

I'd kinda like to do trash of Logic's preferences and do a clean start, to see if it cleans up some buggy things. After that, I'd like to be able to recall every one of my settings in Logic (yep, I know how to save key commands).
Is there a reasonably painless way to do this, beyond doing a screen shot of every preference page or writing it all down?
I developed a cool trick to do this in Logic 6.4 on OSX and 9.22 but that won't work on L8.0.2.

You are going to have to suffer.
BUT, for a next time: once you have cleaned up the prefs and set them to how they were, quit Logic, and copy both (fresh) prefs files to, say, your Documents folder. You now know you have 'fresh' preferences in the fridge, and you can use them next time, without having to endure the same suffering you are facing right now...

There is generally a misundersting this area
there is no such thing as as a factory unlocked iPhone
there is an iPhone which has not been carrier lock as has
been available outside the US from day one

You can set up more than one device on your computer, and iTunes will remember the settings for each of them:

But you'll have to use your Apple ID to sync bought media to her device. Disable all other things you don't want to sync like photos, contacts, etc.

I use the cd disk to set up a desk top computer hard wired to the router and two other lap tops on the wireless. all work for about two days and then they all quit working. I then set it all back up with the CD, they work for about a day or two and quit again. I need some sort of solution to this.

I think it might be the problem with the firmware of your Router. Upgrade the firmware of your Router. Once you Upgrade the firmware of your router sucessfully. Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

Change the Wireless security mode to WEP, Encryption should be 64 bit.Leave the passphrase blank, don't type in anything...Under WEP Key 1 type in any 10 numbers please(numbers only and no letters eg: your 10 digit phone number) and click on save settings...
Please make a note of WEP Key 1 as this is the Security Key for the Wireless Network...
Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

Final Cut Crashed and then corrupted the file. So Final cut wouldn't open up. I tried reloading the backup, trashing the prefs file, systematically going through the 3 previous versions and opening them by themselves one by one to no avail.

Final cut now opens if launch older projects. But if I actually click on the project it crashes. Im not sure what you mean by events? I've moved them from the events folder.

FCE 4.0.1 won't open when I click the icon in the Dock or in the Applications icon of FCE. It had been working well but I had trouble when I trashed the reference Scratch disk to a project and I was asked to get it back. I checked all my drives through verify in Disk Utility and a couple needed repair - eventually were given the OK. I then Shut Down and rebooted, I then trashed the FCE App and reinstalled from the Install discs and , finally, I tried opening a FCE project. You may not have trashed FCE properly.
Deleting the application icon is useless as there are a number of files hidden elsewhere which may be corrupt.
Download this free app to uninstall FCE completely and then reinstall it.

You should definitely be able to upload multiple files by Shift-clicking or Ctrl-clicking the files you want to upload. Just to make sure you don't have an old version of the service cached, please clear the browser cache and then log in to https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. After clicking the File Upload icon in the upper-right corner, you should be able so select multiple files for upload.

Trashed my prefs and now have Quartz extreme support missing

Idiotic me trashed my prefs and didn't open FCP before emptying the trash and now get the Quartz Extreme missing message. Do I have to re-install Final Cut Studio or can I download the missing software from Apple or ?? What's the best method?

Happy you solved the problem!
Next time you can use FCP Rescue to delete and backup your preferences. You can restore them if you need that way.

Trashed iPhoto prefs now 10,000 phoptos gone

My iPhoto was running really slow. I had about 10,000 photos on it. The spinning beachball was happening everytime I tried to do anything. I restarted several times, rebuilt permissions. I then thought that I would trash the iphoto prefs . I did this but discovered to my horror that I had no photos in my library. I have a back up on an external drive but some photos, not really important but, I would love to be able to get them back if possible.
I did not think that trashing the prefs would have such a devestating effect. Any help would be great.

Hi Dave, navigate to the Pictures folder on your computer and see if the iPhoto Library folder is there. do you have another name for the library other than iPhoto Library? if you do, then that was the problem.
If the library is in the Pictures folder, or wherever you had stored it, then hold down the Option key and keep it held down while launching iPhoto until you get a message screen. In that screen click the "choose" button and navigate to your library folder, select it, and hit "open"

Problem with "sent" mail folder-how do I trash the prefs in Apple Mail?

Since no one has answered my original request for assistance regarding my "Sent Mail" mailbox, I'll move the issue aside and approach it differently: How do I trash the prefs in Apple Mail without trashing my inbox and all the other mailboxes? Trashing the prefs works for most apps, but if I do that to Mail, I'm screwed. My real problem remains: I can no longer see or read the email in my "sent mail" box; I can see the info identifying the entry, but I can't read the contents of the email. It's all there in the Mail folder on my hard drive, but it doesn't show up in the Mail app.
So how can I trash the prefs for "Mail" without trashing my inbox?

I have only had to trash the Mail preference once, and I cannot remember what occurred (except that the application worked OK after that).
Before you trash the preference file, try rebuilding the mailbox(s).

2TB Ext. Hard Drive is corrupted?, error code -50 and then error code -35 when i try to empty out my trash

okay so a few days ago i received and email for one of my colleagues to do some final editing to a music video. the folder contained 2 videos a rough chops and the main which was about 2-3GB which i dragged on to my external hard drive . and at the time i was trying to install a trial version of parallel lines and me being a newbie to the software i didn't know i need windows installments for it to run lol but yeah... so i was just getting frustrated with the software i kept installing it uninstalling it and then i was thinking my the problem might be because my MacHD space is low (less then 40GBs on my MacHD), so.. i installed it on my hard drive where all my important files are (I'm a graphic designer and do light video editing) video projects and many photoshop projects form 2007 and logs and just a bunch of important files in my hard drive. so because i was so frustrated with the software i wasn't thinking and i installed it on my external 2TB hard drive. and when i realized parallel wasn't working i gave up, uninstalled the program form the hard drive and for some reason when i did that and i tried opening the video my friend had email to me and for some reason it did load up but a few seconds maybe about 10sec in the video is froze and closed my media app (VLC) and when i tried opening other video files it would freeze every few minutes but those specific files i had drag in last were not playing after at least 5 secs and eventually didn't open at all so i restart my computer login and now i get scared i see that my MacBook Pro isn't reading my external hard drive so i search threw forums... i unplug from the wall plug my external hard drive back in my computer and it loaded up but when i opened my external hard drive all my files had that plank white paper icon on my folders (because i have everything organized but subject when you open then drive folder. so... i go in to my projects and nothing, i open my edited photos and nothing... my hart feels like its about to drop and i keep opening files and there is nothing in them, but in "get info" of my drive it shows that there is filled so i go to "disk utility"... i "verify disk" passes ..."repair disk" doesn't past.... i look it up in forums... so i reboot my computer and go to the safe recovery menu. go threw the same ting "disk utility"... verify, pass... repair, pass... so now i feel relieved. i login files in the ext. hard drive load up i tried again to open the files and same thing happens... so now I'm thinking its the files i drag the files to the trash and try to empty and its gone i reboot the computer and my drive didn't load up so i tried unplugin it and back in... drive comes up i notice theres trash.. i tried emptying it and i get the error code -50. and no files are popping up on my external drive and i try to repair/unmount disk and the verify disk doesn't pass and when i click repair disk it doesn't past and another error code pops up -35.... so i felt my drive alone for a few days and yesterday i go the files deleted from the trash and now I'm not getting any codes but when i try to unmount.verify/repair the disk. keeps letting my tits need to be repaired so i click the repair button another error unable to unmount volume to repair...
what do i do? my files still don't show up. and I'm very sorry for the long paragraph but i have to be detailed for you to understand my situation

If I delete my songs from my "Downloads" folder, have them in my "Trash" and then delete them from my "Trash", will I still be able to play the songs on my iTunes or will they be deleted on my iTunes as well?

I want to clear some space on my Mac since it is filling up and I don't have much room left on it. I want to delete all my songs from my "Downloads" folder and then delete them from my "Trash" to free up space however, I'm worried that if I do this then iTunes will not play any of the songs I deleted.
Will I still be able to play my songs on iTunes even if they are not in my "Downloads" or "Trash" folders?

All tracks in iTunes (if you use default settings) should be in various artist and album folders in the main media folder in the iTunes folder. You can right click a track to reveal its location in Finder. If there's a copy there then it doesn't really matter what you do with other copies.
I have never downloaded from iTunes but I thought it placed files directly in the correct locations, or is this some other downloads folder to which you are referring?
Normally if you download a file from another source and add it to iTunes by dragging it there, or using the Add To menu item, it places a copy of the file in iTunes. You can discard the original, but if you're concerned you can check which copy iTunes is actually using as above.

When i press command+I (Get Info) i see that there is 140 GB "Available Space" on my hard disk but when i click on my hard disk icon on the desktop, and then press "space" i only see 102 GB free!! What the f*???
