Trashed audio files still playing in presentation

In a keynote presentation audio files were trashed (I thought) by dragging from the slide to trash. Audio file disappeared from the slide. Problem is the file still plays. Any ideas how to find it so that it can be deleted properly. (Lion and intel) Help appreciated.

Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below

Once you know exactly what it is you are editing, report back with that information... and your project setting, and if there is a red line above the video in the timeline, which indicates a mismatch between video and project

Hi I created a PP presentation using PP 2010 and I inserted an audio file to play automatically throughout the whole presentation. I email it to a friend and it plays perfectly on her computer at home. However, when she tries to play it on her laptop at
school (they have Office 2007) the music doesn't play at all.

What's the format of that audio file? Convert its format to .wmv and re-insert it.
Please copy the audio file onto desktop and directly play it through Windows Media Player, does it work?

I have picked up an audio file that I can't control other than reduce the volume. I don't know how to turn it off and it plays over any other audio.

Is this an Apple installed audio clip?
Have you checked to see if all of your browsers doesn't have a web page that is opened that has the audio? (Best thing is to quit all of your browsers to get that out of the way.) If it goes away, then find out which browser (if multiple), and then figure out what page or just close it if you wish.
Once you get the browsers out of the way and the audio is still playing. Then quit other programs.

Now I know a method to get the length of a audio file by play it:
1 Create a Player, and add a ControllerListener
2.Start the Player
3.In the ControllerListener's controllerUpdate method, use getMediaTime() by receiving a EndOfMediaEvent
However I think this method is not convenience, if I don't want to play it how I can get the length of the audio file?

You don't need to download an App.
My understanding is that you simply have to change the file extension from .3ga to.mp3 (on each file) and then they should play.
That said, it works on a Macbook Pro - I've just tried it.
Not sure about iOS though.
Please reply if it works for you.

I added an audio file on to my website, http://www.widescreenonlinereview.com/COMIC-REVIEWS.html. However, the mp3 file stop midway though the song, but the .mp3 file plays completely in the IE Browser.
I tried update Firefox, but I lost some major add-on, which me caused to return to my present Firefox browser, and the .mp3 file still would not play completely in the updates browser either.

How to prevent an audio file to play the second time the users enter the screen?

I have a request from my client. She wants the audio file I have on one slide not to play again when the users return to that screen. Is it possible to do that using conditions? I searched the forums but couldn't find anything like this.
I am using Captivate 5.5.

The idea is to link the audio not to the slide but to an 'invisible' object (I even have a Highlight box style for that). When entering the slide the first time you show the object and audio will play, when entering afterwards it will be hidden again. This implies the use of a user variable to track the first visit, and a conditional action. If you need more info, just ask for it.
In CP6 another approach would be possible, using the new statements Play audio and Stop Triggered Audio.

So i've been rendering audio files recently and tryring to get them to play on itunes. Once the files are on my desktop i don't know how to get them to play on itunes. I tried right click opening them in itunes. I've also tried draging and dropping them with .mp3 and .m4a but i don't know what else to do. Pls help

I've been struggling on and off with this for a week now...(I'm a newbie with this software, but have learned a lot). I need advice. I created a simple video using iMovie (no camera footage), and exported it. I then imported it into Final Cut Express to edit, mix and add music. I use MOTU Digital Performer as my music production software, and exported the music to an AIFF file, 48khz, 16 bit files. The little "speaker" play buttons are turned on, the video is working fine, but no music.
Question 1: I tried switching my Mac's Sound Output to the internal speakers, and the *music PLAYS through the Mac's speaker*. When I switch it back to my recording input/output device, nothing. I use this i/o device for everything, and never had a problem. It's a Lexicon I-Onix U82s (usb). Are there known conflict or incompatibilities? Where might I look those up?
2. In many places, I have read that the resolution of the audio file has to match the resolution setting for the sequence. I can not find anywhere that shows you what your resolution settings are. It doesn't tell you in the manual, and I can't find any explanation either on Apple's site, nor the forum. (I know that is probably so simple, it's not a problem for most people:)

Audio file not playing - CS6 After Effects

I am taking a Motion Design class and the .mov file that has the audio clip I need was provided by the instructor and worked in class using CS5 After Effects. When I try to work on the movie at home, the audio file does not play. Does the audio file have to be a different file format to work with CS6?

Audio File Not Playing

Morning All,
A few weeks ago I took a load of video and audio footage for a video I need to make for work.
I did exactly what I have done in the past - set 2 cameras up for visual and use an external clip on mic, plugged in to a Dictaphone for audio.
I then drop all the files into PP and edit away. Everything has worked fine in the past.
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, having done the same thing, I noticed that the Audio from the Dictaphone would not play back in PP. It works fine in everything else (Window Media Player, iMac Media Player, After Effects etc). The audio from the cameras play back, it's the audio only file from the Dictaphone that wont. Everything on the PC is up to date, in fact, I have since had a new PC.
I'm honestly struggling to figure out why the audio file will not play!

Another tiny update. I have found a .WAV file at 176kbps which plays (I think this came from a different source). The .WAV files I'm having problems with are 384kbps.
The dictaphone has the option of recording at the following:
32kbps
64kbps
128kbps
192kbps
384kbps
But as highlighted before, I have used the 384kbps files before without any issues.

Audio file not playing when previewed or pulised on only one slide

I have one slide that the audio will not play unless the you click on the play button in preview or when published. All other slide audios are working fine and will play automtically when the next button is clicked on the previous slide. I have tried changing the name of the audio file, deleting the sled and the fiel and staring over etc. the audio file were created in another program and then brought into Captivate but thia has not been a problem with any other production up to this point. Any suggestions?

Audio file will play on iTunes but not on my Nano

I have an important audio file (in WAVE Audio File format) that plays fine on my iTunes, but won't play on my Nano. It's odd -- the file downloaded to the Nano and appears in a playlist, but when I go to play it, the Nano advances immediately to the next song. Do I need to convert the file into some other format in order for it to be playable by the Nano? (FYI, the audio file is 17.4 MB, if that matters).
