.Trashes filling up my SD card...
I'm a relative Mac newbie here.
I have an SD card I use with my Treo to, amongst other things, save MP3s.
I've noticed that when I take the SD card to my Mac to delete the mp3s (so I can put some new tunes on it) a .Trashes folder is created that is filled with copies of the stuff I just deleted, thereby filling up the SD card. Consequently, the .Trashes folder has to be deleted before I can add more stuff.
Two questions:
[1] Is there a way to keep the .Trashes folder being created on the SD card (since my Treo has no use for it).
and
[2] How do I delete the .Trashes file from my Mac? (I guess these are "hidden files", cuz they don't show up in Finder when I browse the card. (I've been sticking the card into a Windows computer to delete the folder before putting the SD card back in my Treo).

When you drag files to the Trash they are not deleted. To delete them you must empty the Trash by selecting the Trash in the Dock and CTRL-cliciking on it, then select Empty from the contextual menu.
The hidden file appears on the card because, I am assuming, the card is formatted MSDOS. The MSDOS filesystem doesn't understand the Unix convention of the "." as the lead character of a filename means "hidden." When you drag files to the Trashcan, they actually go to the .Trash folder. When you Empty the Trash the files will disappear from the .Trash folder.

When you get the message to contact iTunes support, that is what you have to do. There is nobody here that can help you, as it must be some issue with your account or credit card that only an Apple employee can help you with.

I am unable to register my debit card after creating my apple ID. Whenever i click "continue" after filling all the debit card details, it shows that, "Your payement method has been declined". The card must be issued in the same country as the store you are trying to use. If you're trying to sign up for the US Apple Store, it must be a US card with a US billing address. If you're trying to sign up in India, it must be an Indian card with an Indian billing address.
Apple will run a small charge, which will be credited back, to make sure the card is valid. If it is a debit card and you do not have enough in the account to cover the authorization, it will be declined.
It is possible the currency conversion you mentioned may be causing a problem. Contact the issuing bank if you are sure you have enough in the account and you are signing up for the correct store. -

I tried to follow the instruction of buying iphone apps without a credit card. I follow the steps and I selected United States, but when I fill up the credit card info, i could not find the word "None". Anyone know what should I do?
When you tried to contact Support with the card's images how were you trying to do it, on your phone or a browser on your computer ? And have you tried a different browser to see if you get the same error message ?
As well as images of the card they might also want an image of its receipt.

Not really, but you did need that when you got your Apple ID.

How do i find and delete the hidden .trashes folder on my sd card?
I just recently bought a new canon 600d camera and i also bought a new 16gb sd card for it.
I use this camera for videos mostly.
My card seems to fill up incredibly quickly and when i empty it, it stills says about 600mb is taken up. I looked it up and apparently its because of a hidden folder called .trashes? I cant figure out how to find this folder or how to delete it.
Ive seen a few people say you can find it somehow using finder, but my issue is that my camera doesnt show up in the finder, a program called image capture comes up and i can import all my videos from there perfectly fine.
this problem is really annoying me because even when my sd card says its 849mb full, after recording two or three clips, my camera stops recording automatically due to the card being almost full even though its nowhere near full and i have 14.9 gb left?
Im really confused and i just need some guidance on how to go about finding this .trashes file and deleting it.

apologies if this question isnt in the right place, ive never really used this before.i imported all the files in my sd card to my mac and then i did format the card, it says 160kb is used up.
I also did find files in the trash when i connected the camera to the macbook and deleted them all, there is nothing left in the camera or the trash and it still says 160kb used :/ -

Trash can disappeared and CAN'T EMPTY TRASH filled up 80 gigs in 3 days
I'm running Express version of Solaris on X86 machine. Yesterday the trash icon disappeared. Today I put it back in the panel but it still won't throw out the trash. What is the path to the trash folder?
80 gigs filled up in only 3 days !
DanThat is when I logon as "root" . When I log on as another user trashcan appears and Documents shows over 60 gigs free.

How Can I Fill Up My SD Cards?
Even after doing a fresh format of my 64MB, 512MB, and 1GB SD cards to MS/DOS FAT 16 or 32 format with Disc Utility, my Powerbook G4 1.33gHz will not let me fill up the cards without creating subfolders within the cards. It tops out at around 80 files, totaling 80 to 100MB on the larger cards. I have no problem filling up the cards on a Dell PC, using no subfolders. Also, I have tried 2 different card readers. I don't want to put the MP3 files within folders on the card, or the MP3 player won't read them when I put the cards in it. Others have posted this same type of problem on this site and others (see below links) and no one has dared to post an answer. Nor, can I find any Mac support article that addresses this. If anyone can help, you're great!

How can I delete the .Trashes folder on my SD Card
I have an SD card for my Raspberry Pi, and my Pi was acting up, so I downloaded Raspbian. I have hidden folders visible. I opened up my SD, and I deleted everything. Little did I know, it ended up in the .Trashes folder. I literally have 58.7 MB left on an 8 GB SD. Someone please help!
