Trasport request

Hi,
I have my report changes in a trasport, which I cannot move to Test system. How can I create a new transport req for the same report and move it to test system. Is there any way I can cancel/delete the old trasport request.

You can delete the old request by going to Se10 Transaction.
Goto SE10 Transaction -> select your request -> drop down-> delete the objects -> delete sub request -> delete main request.
Now goto your program -> change what ever you want -> click on save button -> now it will ask request # .
Careful while deleting ,use proper order

Hi
I suggest you to transport the Infoarea under which the Infoset query is deleted
This will adjust all your changes including any deletion or any new changes

Trasport request target system

hi all .
Is there any possibility to know the target system of trasport request ? .
I am able to get the detail through table E070 and E071 .
but it showing only one target system .
But request trasferred to more than one system .
i.e to say quality and production .
I can see the detail via t.code se09 it is showing both systems .
but not getting in database table E070-tarsystem .
plz help me , its urgent .

Thats true , we cant revert back released request but yes
You can reset the original system of the objects
specify the package to which you want to assign the objects if the relocation involved a package change
specify the transport layer to which you want to assign the objects if the relocation involved a complete package
You can make the changes, for that use T.code SE03 ->Cancel relocation transport.

Creating a new trasport request

Hi,
When we are making changes to a program/report when to
create a new request and when should we save in the same
request?
Does it make any difference?

Hi Kaavya,
when you create an object for the first time then you would be asked for a request, but when you save after making some changes to the object it would not ask you for a request until and unless you've released the request that you used earlier.
If you are going to make some changes after releasing the earlier request and then if you try to save it then it would definitely ask you for another request number and at that point there is no other way than creating a new one.

Wat is the purpose of Protect functionality for transport requests. In transaction SE10 if we select a modifiable request and right click on it Protect option is available. If we select that option a lock symbol is appearing for the request

If you want only the owner of a request to be able to add more users, then you can protect the request.
This is the use of protect functionality.

Automatically adding objects to Trasport Request

Hi All,
I want to add few objects (DDIC domains, to be specific) to an exisiting transport request. I want to add this through a program. Please let us know how I can do the same.
Please let me know what FM's or Report programs available to do this.

I don't understand why you want a program to add a few objects.
Simply add them to the task
R3TR DOMA <domainname>
R3TR DTEL <data element>
R3TR TABL <table definition>
R3TR PROG <abap program including docu, screens etc>
Writing a program to perform this takes much longer then just enter them manually.

How to Create trasport Request's for Smartform Style?

Transports are created for Smartform Styles by creating or changing the style in transaction Smartforms.
If you want to transport a style without making changes then you can:
1. Go to Transaction SE10
2. Create a new workbench request
3. Double click on the new task created to get into the object list
4. Add an entry for the style. Program ID = R3TR, Object Type = SSST, object name = <smartstyle name>.
5. Ensure you lock the entry in the transport request

Pending Trasport request in DEV while Upgrade

Hi all,
I am doing upgradation from 3.5 to 7.0. Now we are in preparation phase. I am seeing around 15-20 customizing and workbench request pending in BI DEV server. My worry is whether those request need to be transported / delete before the actual upgradation of the BI DEV server. And if Yes, then what will be the impact if i m not transporting.
Please suggest.

Hi,
you are not suppose to have any open requests during the upgrade.
If you are sure that you do not require those TR in the quality then delete them.
Transport them to quality only when the owner of the TR is sure that he needs those changes in the target system....if not then he can later create those TR's again later.
So plan it accordingly.

Transport request for BW queries and roles.

Hi All,
we need to craete 20 bw queries on 4 multiproviders. We need to save 18 queries as workbooks in one role and the other 2 queries in other role. Both the roles and queries does not exist and will be created in Developement environment.
We just want to know how we can transport them in the quality environment. What is the right method to transport them.
Can we transport all the object queries, workbooks and roles in number of transport requests so that if few queries or workbooks needs any changes then we do not have to transport all objects just the request which includes the changed objects.

Thanks a lot for all of you for your quick response. But i still have questions.
If we create one transport for roles and one transport for each query then we will be having 21 transport requests. But the transport request on same multiprovider can lock the clacuated key figures and restricted key figures, if they are present in more than one query, it means they will be present in more than one transport requests, so they can be locked and trasport request will be failed.
If i just create one transport request for all the objects roles, quaries & workbooks it will not loack any object, and transport request will not fail. But i have to transport all the objects again if i need to change one of the queries.
Please let me know if there is a method that i can divide my queries as per multiprovider and can create transport requests as per multiprovider so that we can not lock calculated keyfigures and restricted key figures. Is workbooks can be published in the role in the same transport request. If it is and if in more than one transport request we are publishing the different workbooks to the same role, will it lock the role.

Importing Transport Request In GP

Hi All,
In GP , I want to export a trasport request and then import it . I successfully executed the trasport request and created a .sda file like this. GP Application tab -> Trasport -> Create Transport Request. The .sda file is stored in local system. When I try to Import it using Import Trasport Request, I am getting one warning like "No endpoint alias has been maintained; create an endpoint alias first " .
Please provide me some information on how solve this issue.

Neccesary to include Function group in Transport Request?

Hi,
I had changed a Function module logic slightly and wants to trasport it to the production.
But in the transport request the object present are only FM and nothing else.
Once there was a big problem beacuase i had trasnsported only FM and not the Function group associated with the FM.
So i should add the Function group to the trasport request in which the modified FM was included? Or is it OK?

Transport Request Active version not correct

Hi,
We have been moving the Trasport Request from Development to Quality. Here each time a new version is created.
But when i was testing it was taking the runtime of
old version even though the Active version is the recently moved one.
I have also tried deleting the old version of the workflow
in Quality and moved again, this time it is not moving.
This is R/3 4.7, Level55, Was 6.2, Travel workflow (BUS2089)
Please let me know if you have any idea.

the same issue occured for my workflow as well. Please try this out as well, this rectified our issue ;
Phenomenon:
You have changed your workflow template in client 000. If you look to the workflow definition in another client with SWDD, then you see the newest version as just maintained in client 000. But at runtime, the old (former) version of the workflow definition is used.
Cause:
When activating a workflow template, then also some client specific data is replicated from client 000 to the other clients. In this replication there is currently an error. I just talked to a workflow colleague. The problem we have observed seems to be just the tip of an iceberg ... . They are working on the issue(s) related to this.
Workaround:
Execute function module SWD_WFD_REPLICATE_FROM_9999 in the client, you need to have the newest template definition. Enter your workflow template ID (with pattern "WSxxxxxxxx") in parameter IM_TASK and execute. Make sure that you do not lock the template in SWDD.
Then you also (may) need to execute transaction SWU_OBUF to synchronize the buffer.
