Travel Approval in ECC 5 and EP 6 from portal

Hi All,
I am using EP 6.0 with ECC 5 in the backend. The "Create Travel Request" application is working and we are able to submit the request. Also the travel request is coming into approver's business inbox in R/3. But I am unable to see any approval application from portal. Also i dont find any concept of UWL in this version of portal.
Can anybody let me know how to approve travel requests and expenses in portal in this version?

I think while applying the patches we have missed the one which contains UWL. Can anybody help me with the name of the SCA that needs to be deployed in the server for the same?

Get user and Oranization Attributes from portal channels

Hello,
I am trayin to retrieve some user and arganizational attributes from portal channels (2005Q1), but, with directive "<dtpc:getStringAttribute key="attribute"/>, i can not retrieve some importants attributes as "dn" and an custom attribute from the organization that contain user entry, for example, "orgIdSuscriptor".
i don't know how to retrieve in the same channel some attributes of user entry and some attributes from oraganization entry, any one know how?

I've designed a table with an ordsys.ordimage field for images. BIG MISTAKE, because there is no possibility to upload images from a form. I'd like to change it into a BLOB field but an error arises:
"You cannot modify the column definition for types CLOB, NCLOB, BFILE, BLOBand Intermedia Object types(ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE, ORDSYS.ORDAUDIO, ORDSYS.ORDVIDEO). (WWV-17079)"
Could I change it anyhow in order not to build a new table? I have a lot of forms referring to that table and I should change these forms too....(and we know it is pretty difficult)...
I would appreciate any help.

Do you have any active constraints on that specific row? If the row is accessed by other forms (tables etc) you would need to disable them (for example foreign key constraints) and update the row (or remove and re-add it).

Actually advance with dialog will work under some specific scenarios from the UWL.
1. If you are launching work items using WinGUI.
2. If you are launching work items using SAPGUI for HTML and are on a high enough release .
In other words, it depends on the launch mechanism - not the UWL.
Try checking the launch mechanisms.

the Advanced with Dialog works fine only in certain scenarios, as Jocelyn mentioned in the following thread. pl go thru' this.
Extended Notification-Submethods and advance with dialog not supported...
COming to your requirement, if you want to provide a box for the user to enter Rejection reason on the portal side, you can use the User decision Actiion Handlers as given in the below link. It is very simple and fast implementaion.
I have done this recently, so if you need more details, let me know.

Hi All,
I'm getting a critical error while creating family members and dependents record from portal.
CRITICAL ERROR
"Type conflict in the ASSIGN statement in the program CL_HRPA_CONVERT_0021_US=======CP ., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE"
I checked the short dump in R/3 Side and searched for OSS note and didnt find any. I raised an OSS message.
If any had've already comeacross this, pls let me know.

Its possible to access the list of user and their roles from portal in several ways:-
Approach 1:
User Admin -> Import/Export -> User Data Export -> Press Export Button -> Copy the user content and store in a seperate file -> Done.
Approach 2:-
You can write a custom progrram in Java using UME API to get the portal user information. You can use webdynpro for java or JSP Dynpage/abtract portal component to use UME API.

Same MessageID from sender(Webservice) -- PI -- ECC and vice versa

Folks,
We have a sender and receiver webserver which has its own monitoring system in it and it tracks messages by means of Message ID which it creates .
Now this web service when hits PI it sends the message ID in a field in payload.
The message ID which the webservice sends is now different then which is created in PI as the message propagates
The same message ID is created in ECC as we all know .
Now Our problem is we are finding it difficult to track messages from webservice Outbound as well as inbound
If there are 100 messages we have to search on the basis of time only , we cant search on message ID
My question is can we have a unique message ID throughout the scenario.
( i.e webservice -- PI-- ECC and ECC -- PI --Webservice)

In case of webservice sender the webservice sends a message ID in a payload ( they have there own monitoring using there own message ID )
Being in Support , I get a call that message belonging to xxxxx message ID has failed. Now when I look in SXMB_MONI
I see 1000 messages between same sender and receiver.
I have to check payload and check the said message ID and then find the message , this is Cumbersome
hope we find some better approach

Issue in Temp table creation in PCM Databridge and data migration from ecc to PCM using databridge

we are working on mapping SAP PCM table structure data and the data which is coming from ECC.
We are using Databridge tool to upload the data for the same,upload from databridge involves
using Specification file to upload the data into SAP PCM.
The problem we are facing is that
The responsiblity center(cost center) in ECC and SAP PCm are different.There is one to many relationship between them
eg 1 ecc cost center-->many SAP PCM cst center,we need to split the line item vale of one ecc cost center into many SAP PCM cost centers
eg C1 cost center from ECC has value 4000 to be split across PCM1,PCM2,PCM3,PCM4 cost centers in SAP PCM
we need to automate using the databridge ,we are stuck up in this task.
Please guide us.
Also we are trying to create temporary table usinf Table temporary command in SPE file of databridge.The purpose of this is to put the ECC data in temp table as per our req and then use the temp table as data source for putting data in PCm as per our requirement.
Please advise us on this approach

I had an RFC in ECC ( Z_CRM_SPEC_DATA) this should be called into my AET Fields in getter method.
In getter method of tat AET field what code should i write?

Description :    Budget Quan    Forecast Quan
values         :    (--5.0)(6.0--
2) (Fetch Budget and Forecast data from ECC ),you would need to pass Material Number(MATNR) as well as Ship to party info to fetch the budget and forecast data as one material may be assigned to 2 or more SH with specific budget and forecast data for each.

R/3 upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 and BW upgrade from 3.5 to 7.0

Is there a reason to upgrade Solution Manager from 3.2 to 4.0 when upgrading R/3 from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 and BW upgrade from 3.5 to 7.0?
And when in current situation Unicode UTF8 is used, could that give problems during / after the upgrade?

There is not a must to upgrade also your solman 3.2 when you upgrade your satellites, only consider if you need the solman diagnostic or not and also that the new functionality in solman 4.0.
Which system is unicode, the satellite?
There is also not problems having a non-unicode solman with unicode satellites and the other, having a unicode-solman "linked" to unicode-satellites.

Organization structure in CRM 7.0 from ECC and HR

Hi,
We are trying to download Org structures from ECC and HR. (CRM 7.0, HR & R/3 ECC 6.0)
From HR
The ALE distribution is set across the systems CRM and HR and I did the PFAL run as per the best practices BB C05. There are about 100,000 Idocs inbound to CRM system and out of which about 15K are in 51 status and the rest are in 53 status.
Observations:
The Organization structure from HR is not totally mapped in CRM but only a part of it is displayed in PPOMA_CRM.
The remaining Org units are found in 'non-related objects' selection.
All the Idocs in failure are in error "Error in subroutine read_namtb for structure of infotype ". When I go to the long text
Message no. 5-109
Diagnosis
An error has occurred in subroutine read_namtb for structure of infotype .
Procedure
Check the entry for infotype in table T777D (structure, IDoc segment, expanded structure) and the corresponding structures.
I am not sure which infotype needs to be checked in T777D.
From ECC
The CRM - ECC connectivity is set. Downloaded all the required customizing objects successfully. Switched the org model to "enhanced backend integration version " and then followed on to SPRO->CRM->Master Data->Organizational Management->Data transfer->Copy SAP ECC structure and selected all the available R/3 Organization assignments available and then selected the "generate selected lines".
Observations:
All the generated org units are in GREEN in SPRO but there are no assignments found in PPOMA_CRM not even in the unrelated objects
Checked tables HRP1000 and HRP1001 from the CRM Sales org unit IDs (ex: O 5000012) created here and they are not found but the generation is in GREEN.
I will appreciate any assistance I get here.

even we are having the same issue like, we have downloaded the Org Model form HR to CRM system, till here it was fine.
when we are trying to download the ECC sales structure(CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE) to CRM system, i have selected all the items and triggered the Gerenerated Selectd Lines, but after all the items are generating in a error with RED.
Could you please share you knowledge, so that it will help me in figuring out the issue.

Since the iPhone is not officially sold in Iran, & there are no supported carriers there, you couldn't have an iPhone locked to a carrier in Iran.
At any rate, if you do have a carrier locked iPhone, you need to contact the carrier the phone is locked to to get it officially unlocked. No one here can help you, nor can/will Apple.
