Travel charger for S10-2

Hey everyone,
Im looking for a small lightweight travel charger for my new S10-2. Is the power plug on the netbook compatible to the S-10? Because there are only small chargers available for the S-10 like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.de/Travel-Mains-Charger-Adapter-for-Lenovo-Ideapad-S10-S9_W0QQitemZ350184856351QQcmd...
best regards

Can anyone look at his OEM power charger S10-2 and tell me what output voltage and ampere there is?
The travel charger has 20V and max 2A.

  • Travel Charger for MacBook

    Hi,
I'll be traveling out of the country in a few weeks and I'm looking for a travel charger that can recharge the battery while it's not in the MacBook (I have 2 batteries, so I would like to use the laptop while the other battery is charging).
    Does such a product exist?
    Thanks,

  • Slimmer charger for S10 ideapad

Do anyone know if "ThinkPad and IdeaPad 90W Slim AC/DC Combo Adapter"compatible with S10 ideapad? Couldn't seem to find any info on the website except for the Ideapad word on the title. And, if we can get this in New Zealand's Lenovo?
If not, are there any slimmer charger compatible for Lenovo S10 available?

Oops! Just tried the 20V tip. It is too "fat". However, the 19V tip works fine. So, in all, it is a go!

  • Int'l Travel - Charger for Pearl Flip

    Pre-buying (T-mobile) questions:
BB site says flip comes with no charger. Is this true/possible?
Otherwise, any concerns I should consider for international (Europe) travel with the Flip? Can I just buy a plug adapter and not worry about currency convertors?
Also, anything anyone could volunteers about unlocking the Flip and using a local SIM card for lower call/data rates, worthwhileness of getting T-Mobile Hot-Spot service, or general thoughts on least expensive options for calling within Europe and to the US.
    thank you.

I took my T-mobile Blackberry Pearl Flip to New Zealand. Used the US AC charger with a NZ plug with no problem.
I also added the T-mobile int'l data plan for that month, $20. Data was seamless, exactly like being in the US. I don't get a lot of calls, I use the phone far more for data, so I didn't worry about anyone calling me and being charged the high per-minute charge--something like $2/minute as I recall.
I did work with T-mobile before I went to unlock my phone so that I could buy a SIM card when I got to NZ. You should be able to find a wireless vendor in the airport where you land; I've heard that from many other travers, and it was certainly true in NZ. I think I purchased mine through Vodaphone, which seems to be ubiquitous. It's best to purchase the card in the counrtry you're traveling to, because they seem to be specific to a country or a region. I ended up not using the card I bought, because I was traveling with another friend so we used her T-mobile Android for voice, with the card she bought, and my phone for data. So I have a card that will work in New Zealand sitting in my desk. It doesn't work in very many other countries so I'm out of luck unless I find a friend who's going there and has a SIM phone!
More and more places around the globe have wireless, so you might want to check the number of T-mobile hotspots where you're going to see if it's worth paying for them, or if you could use wireless where you're staying.
Here's what you need to know: you can't use your regular data plan on the phone if you have a different SIM card in it. And you can't get the low phone rates if you keep in your regular SIM card. So you have to switch cards out depending on what you want to do.
A note: one feature I think the Flip is missing is the ability to turn off individual services. I'd have liked to turn off the voice feature, keeping data. On other BBs I think you can, but not on the Flip.
     I hope this helps.

  • Inexpensive travel charger for Zen Mi

    Hello,
$5.99 CDN is a little too much to choke down for the Creative charger! So, buy the 'AC to USB power adaptor' #49902 from Circuit City for $9.99 CDN. As long as you use the Creative USB cable that comes with the Zen, it works fine!

Did you not get a charger with your micro? I got one with mine. Cruisebloke

  • "Makeshift" Travel Charger He

I'm travelling to China, Vietnam, and Cambodia 2 days from today. Unfortunately, I did not plan ahead in buying a travel charger for my Zen Micro. I do have the wall charger with only the US plug. There are no local retailers in my area that sell the travel charger, and I don't have time to order one online. Will the standard charger work in Asia by adding on a plug for the specific country I am in (ie these: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2036266&cp=&origkw=travel+adap ter&kw=travel+adapter&parentPage=search)? Or will I need a voltage converter (I believe china is 240v)? Any tips/suggestions? Thanks!
    -David

If you check on the charger that you have it should tell you what voltage range it can cope with: my Zen Touch one can do between 00-240v, so yours might be similar. Then if the mains voltage of the country you're visiting is within this range, you can just use the country's plug and your current charger. Obviously, if the country's mains voltage is outside the range of your charger, plugging it directly in without a transformer is probably a bad idea.

  • Travel Charger unable to charge phone

    Hello
I got a Duracell travel charger for my birthday, to use when im out and about and unable to charge the conventinal way. I went to charge my phone with it last night (plugged USB into travel charger and micro USB into phone) and it is telling me that the power source cannot charge my phone, please ensure that your computer is not in hibernation mode, i do believe its telling me that the charger is to weak to to charge phone, im not sure what that should happen because the Duracell charger was fully charged and it's main job is to charge. I've got the latest everything, including latest OS
    Here is the charger: http://www.duracell.com/en-US/product/instant-usb-charger.jspx
and it clearly says it can charge BlackBerry phones
Is there anyway to fix this?
EDIT: I've been using the BlackBerry USB cable which it didnt like, and just used the Duracell USB charger (which tbh are exactly the same) and it works, so i think it only likes the duracell USB cable, no reason why tbh

The charging source connected to your Blackberry device cannot charge your battery

  • 3 amp, 2-port charger for iPad & iPhone, where are they?

Why hasn't Apple (or Griffin Technology) released a 2-port travel charger for iPad & iPhone? Is it really that hard to design a 3-amp power block? It is a royal pain having to carry 2 power blocks, and a struggle to find enough outlets to get everything charging at once.
    Thanks!

This is my preference, by Belkin, because it has all of the bases covered; surge protector with three electrical outlets and two USB outlets. You can swivel the prongs on the back 360° with 4 locking positions. I take mine everywhere I travel.

  • Ipod usb travel charger works with mi

interesting little find, so my wife got this external travel charger thingy for her ipod, you know for those times when you are away from your computer. the thing is cube-ish, plugs into the wall, and has a USB-A slot on the slide. you are meant to charge your ipod by pluggin in the usb cable. it also charges the shuffle. you plug the shuffle directly into it, but then i looked at it closer. 5v output with A. wait a minute. that's the same as my MICRO's travel charger. so i grabed my usb cable and my micro and hooked it up. and lo and behold, IT WORKS. so if you have an ipod, or shuffle, or know someone that has this usb travel charger, it'll work on your micro too. and you get one in the states for about $30 and they can be found just about any place that sells ipod crap.
just thought you'd like to know.

  • Portable power charger for ipod touch/classic

    I found this online; http://www.sourcingmap.com/black-travel-charger-pack-for-apple-iphone-ipod-p-405 93.html
    & again on another website; http://www.uxsight.com/product/36886/black-travel-charger-pack-for-apple-iphone- ipod.html
what does anyone think to these? I am looking for a charger that is compact, as most AC power adapters are squarish shaped & too bulky to carry in a little kit.
has anyone used one of these? are they reusable? or are they meant for a one time emergency charge? where do they get their power from to charge the ipod? are they worth the $17.00 odd dollars? would they work for my ipod touch 2and gen 8 gb, & my 160gb 6th gen ipod classic?

They come with a cable that connects to a charger, this device is in essence a spare battery. You have to charge it from the wall.
I prefer this one as a wall charger:

  • Solio charger for 5200 phone?

Have bought my first Nokia and want a travel charger - solar/wind-up-able.
Am being lured by the solio as it could be used with my camera and ipod too.
But my phone (5200) is not listed as compatible with the solio.
Can anyone advise me if there's a gadget to 'compatiblise' it please.
Or maybe you know another eco-gadget that will make me and the planet happy!
Is that too big an ask?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi tiamaria
I expect that it is more an oversight that your 5200 is not listed although a 5210 is, because there are only two types of Nokia battery connector; the original larger diameter and the newer small diameter.
I have PM a link to another product but am in no way trying to dissuade you from your original choice!

  • Complaint re charges for no service

When traveling in France I could not connect to Skype. After numerous tries I gave up. This was very frustrating. Then I was charged for all those tries where I could not be heard at all!! There is no where to make a specific complaint about this.

I can't agree with Lee Jay. My experience buying product direct from Adobe has been extremely good. I even ordered the wrong product ( an Adobe font set) and was able to call back two hours later an get the order cancelled and downloaded the correct font package with no issues.
Doing business in other countries has different licensing restrictions, taxes, duties, and higher business operations cost. Here's a good example:
    http://www.zdnet.co.uk/news/it-at-work/2010/04/12/uk-users-pay-a-premium-for-adobe-cs5-400 88600/
Adobe US customer service is probably instructed not to accept orders for product being physically shipped to another country.  If you had ordered a Lightroom 3.0 download product using a credit card with a US address, Adobe wouldn't even know you were in Italy.

  • Which one of these 12volt/car charger for MacBook Pro would you choose..???

    Hi everyone.
I am looking for a suitable 12volt/car charger, so i can charge my brand new MacBook Pro directly from our caravan batteries via a car/12 volt socket. I dont want to use a inverter, as it draws unnecessary power from the vans batteries.
I am being cautious as I don't want to use a product that is not 100% compatible here in Australia and might void the warranty in any way.
I can not find anything suitable manufactured by Apple but I have found many 3rd party alternatives, ranging from approx $50 up to a couple of hundred.
Has anyone had any experience with any of these products.

Thanks for your help in advance

Hi Carl, Thank you for your help. I am still none the wiser which one to pick. You say they are not equivalent, but don't they all do the same job. I never was any good at joining the dots, my spelling is shocking and I really wouldn't know a technical error even if it was starring me in the face.
    Have a good one.

  • External Charger for Muvo S

Does anyone know of an external charger for the Muvo Slim that can be plugged into the USB port.
Alternati'vely, could an adapted 5v power supply be plugged into the usb port, or does it need microprocessor control to prevent overcharging?
How else can I charge the MP3 player when I travel?
    Any ideas would be welcome.

I think the only way to charge the player is by usb...not sure about the adapter.
