Travel Charger unable to charge phone

Hello
I got a Duracell travel charger for my birthday, to use when im out and about and unable to charge the conventinal way. I went to charge my phone with it last night (plugged USB into travel charger and micro USB into phone) and it is telling me that the power source cannot charge my phone, please ensure that your computer is not in hibernation mode, i do believe its telling me that the charger is to weak to to charge phone, im not sure what that should happen because the Duracell charger was fully charged and it's main job is to charge. I've got the latest everything, including latest OS
Here is the charger: http://www.duracell.com/en-US/product/instant-usb-charger.jspx
and it clearly says it can charge BlackBerry phones
Is there anyway to fix this?
EDIT: I've been using the BlackBerry USB cable which it didnt like, and just used the Duracell USB charger (which tbh are exactly the same) and it works, so i think it only likes the duracell USB cable, no reason why tbh

    - See:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
    - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Loose connection - unable to charge phone

I plug my phone in to charge and the connection is loose.  I am unable to charge my phone at all now.  I have tried 4 different charging cords.  These charging cords will charge my kindle but do not charge my phone, thus the connection to the phone must be at fault.  How does this get fixed?  I just got the phone maybe 6 months ago.

The reason I suggested a Motorola OEM:  Breezex is that i have a few in my collection and with having that option it allows me to use different one's at different times and if you look closely on the end on the micro USB some have no ribs to make the connection tighter and then some have this and it makes for more of a snug fit in the case of the Op's phone a Motorola charger with these extra ribs might just he or she need's here is a picture to show these ribs..
This is a picture I took to show the Extra Ribs fingers on my Motorola micro usb.. to help ensure a tighter fit when connected to the Device to see it closer tap on the Picture.. and yes that is my fingers holding it in place..

  • Missing Contacts... Unable to Charge

    Hi
This morning when I returned from the weekend, I was told by ALL of our iPhone users (using ActiveSync with our Exchange server) that during the course of the weekend, their phone contacts disappeared (all of the contacts) and their iPhones were unable to charge.
Two things happened over the weekend, our Exchange server was down and our self-signed SSL certificate expired. I'm not sure why the contacts that exist on the phone went AWOL, is there something inherent in ActiveSync that would explain this behaviour? Once the server was up again, the contacts were available, even before I renewed the certificate. This doesn't make sense because some of these users travel outside of data coverage areas without losing their contacts. Also, any ideas as to why during this oddness, the users were unable to charge their phones.
This all seems very strange. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

Presuming you mean charge your iPad via USB it doesn't work that way. Most USB ports don't put out enough power to fully charge an iPad. In fact, the USB puts out about half the iPad's minimum requirements.
The best way to charge it is with the supplied charger plugged into the wall.

  • Since downloading latest OS (07?) on my 4G-S can't use regular charger.  Phone blinks and bleats but does not charge.  Can charge in car and from  computer keyboard port.  Much slower.

Since downloading os 7.1 to my Iphone 4G-S I have been unable to charge it on the regular charger.  I can use my USB port on my keyboard and my car charger but when I hook up to my regular charger the phone blinks on and off and bleets little beeps and does not charge.  Ipowered off and on again with no success.

No such model exists, therefore there cannot possibly be an issue with it.
If it works with other chargers, that would indicate a problem with the charger.

  • HT1414 my ipad mini will not charge from wall socket and it will not show itself on i tunes via my pc... i have also substituted my power charger from my i-phone to no avail.

my daughter's i-pad mini will not charge up from the wall socket and it will not show itself on i-tunes via my pc... i substituted the power charger from my i-phone to no avail with the wall socket... seems like i read that the earlier i-pads have some problems with the lightning socket but can not remember exactly...there is no apple retail shop in the small city where i live but would travel to one if the fix is relatively quick or easy...otherwise, what can i do for diagnosis and repair?

Most likely your cable is bad and you need to get a replacement.

  • IPhone 4 unable to charge and USB not recognized?

Hi, I've just got my iPhone replaced because the old screen is broken.
    In this new iPhone 4.
The camera rear, when I take photos, there is a slightly transparent black spot. It annoys me, but I chose to ignore.
It was fine all morning, till BAM!
This **** thing came up when I wants to charge my iPhone on my laptop.
My laptop can't recognize the iPhone. Earlier was fine (when I'm copying photos out), then later when I replug it happens.
"USB device not recognized. The LAST USB device you connected to this computer MALFUNCTIONED, and Windows does not recognize it"
This is my first time getting this warning.
Is there any way to reset the USB port, and redetect the iPhone USB?
Also, my iPhone can't be charge! I've tried different cables, different power source. None work.
I assume my cable is not broken because if it is, the my laptop wouldn't detect the USB and that annoying warning won't come up.
    I've have TRIED:
Soft rest and hard reset on iPhone.
Restart/Shutdown laptop. Also, deleted Upper Filter from Registry. Removed laptop charger. Unplug all USB.
    Reset all setting on iPhone.
Clean my iPhone charging port and charger adapter USB.
My iPhone left 10% of battery, and it's 3AM here. There's obviously no apple store open. There also no Genius Bar in my country.
And I've observe my battery gone down to 9% and back up to 10%. While I'm typing this, the battery goes up to 11%.
It's so so so slow. There is no "Charging" sign. Normally, the battery icon on the top right will have a plug sign thingy.
Now it doesn't show anything except for a red battery but percentage is going up so freaking SLOW!
*Also, how to update IOS to 6.1.4 (current 6.1.3)? I don't want IOS7.
    Using:
    Windows 8 64-bit
    Fujitsu laptop
    iPhone 4 IOS6
    iTunes 10.7
Help me, my iPhone is dying. Theres no prob for my old iPhone, geez.

    Just an update:
I spent many hours last night working on my phone, and after leaving it on my docking station for a few hours, it had enough battery to turn on, though it was only a tiny bit of battery. I quickly plugged it into my PC and was able to load the backup from iTunes from about a month ago, so that it was now my phone again. However, straight away the battery died again, and I left it on the docking station all night, but it never charged. Now it no longer shows the battery sign at all, just a black screen.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, as i was checking out the apple website, and as my phone no longer has warrantly it's going to cost me £125 for a service which ain't cheap!

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Can I charge my I Pad Gen1 with my charger from my I Phone 3? I bought it used , I have not received it yet, need to know because I have the regular charger and auto.

Hi  I bought an I Pad Gen1, used, with no accessories, will my I Phone 3 charger, wall and auto work with it or do I need to buy another? Have not received it yet( ebay). Please advise. Thank you.

Your iPhone charger is 5W, whereas the iPad 1 charger is 10W. The iPhone charger will work, but the charge time will be more than double. If you buy a new charger, get the iPad 4 charger which is 12W. It will charge faster than the 10W charger.

  • How much time I had to charge my new I phone 5s for first time?

How much time I had to charge my new I phone 5s for the first time?

I would say that is a matter of judgement
If we are being pedantic it may noteven  need a charge initially in that case ,it may have sufficient power ,
assume we are ok with the green battery being full green for 100% charge

Hi All, Prior to purhcasing the microphoto, I went down to creative HQ store with my USB AA Portable Charger to test if my portable charger can charge the Microphoto.
The staff were very helpful and let me test on unit, and also inform me that as long as I see a "lighting" icon on the top right corner, the microphoto is charging.
After buying the microphoto, i find that I am unable to charge my microphoto with my AA charger.
The "Lighting" icon is there but the battery indicator just does not increase.
    Kindly advise.

That's normal. Most USB ports dont' put out enough power to meet the iPad's requirements. (It says 'not charging' even though there is a trickle charge...it will charge over USB, but it'll take hours and hours)
Your iPad is best charged with the supplied charger plugged into the wall.

    Hope that helps!
