PR05 access Travel Manager and Expense Report screen

Hi,
Can anyboy suggest how to use T Code PR05?
1. When I enter T Code PR05, first screen is for Travel Expense Manager. This screen is used by Manager to Approve or Reject Travel Expense Report. Then I have to click on create button to get into Travel Expense screen.
Can we get into Travel Expense screen in T Code PR05 directly instead of getting into Travel Manager screen?
If yes, please suggest what settings needs to be done?
2. Can we create Travel Request in T Code PR05?
3. Can we manage the Travel Manager screen and Travel Expense screen seperately by Security, such that, Traveller should access only Travel Expense screen. He shouldnot get into Travel Manager screen. Similarly, Manager should be able to access only Travel Manager screen but not Create Travel Expense Report screen.
Please suggest.

I'm not sure if I get your point but PR05 functions are build on authorizations.
So if the manager should only be able to approve than you can give only this authorizations to the manager. (transaction PFCG)
And for Approval from Manager you should set up a worfklow with a work item - so the manager should only have display rights for PR05.
(Or even better - just use WebDynpro POWL for the manager to approve without a workflow running in the back)
Yes you are able to create a travel request via PR05 - just enter future date.

Publisher to QuarkXPress and InDesign help required

Hello,
i am trying to Publish a document to InDesign or QuarkXPress with MDM 5.5 SP4 (SAP MDM Publisher)
according to the Installation guide, it says that QuarkXPress 5.0.1 is supported
i have installed QuarkXPress 6.1
In the list of plugins it says
Error: XTensions module is not compatible with this version of QuarkXPress
is there any way to make it compatible ?
InDesign CS also gives some error saying that no Master Text frame exists
we also have some paper module files - MDM Quark Paper Module PPC.sit.bin and MDM InDesignCS Paper Module.sit.bin
however, we have no idea how to use them

Quark 5.0.1 is the latest version of Quark that MDM supports, not the minimum requirement. So, you will not be able to publish to Quark 6.1, only to 5.0.1.
The .sit.bin files are the plug-in's for use on a MAC. The .exe files will load the plug-in's on a PC.
Need more info on the InDesign problem. Make sure the correct CS plug-in is installed. You also have to have InDesign open before trying to publish from MDM. It won't automatically open InDesign for you. Did you try importing an InDesign template to publish to? It seems as though this error may be related more to the InDesign template you are using. Are you able to publish without selecting the "use template" option?

Subtypes and Supertypes help required urgently!

Oracle Apex is proving to be the undoing of me as i find the Program really confusing and so i need help with my current situation.
I am trying to create a database for an equine advertising website.
Basically I have a supertable called ADVERTISEMENT
I also have 6 subtables HORSES, EQUIPMENT, HORSE_BOXES, PRODUCTS, PROPERTY and SERVICES
I am having a terrible time trying to implement this. I have tried creating supertypes and subtypes but I found that I wasnt able to implement forms from these types
I tried to Just create them normally as tables seperate tables (Primary key from ADVERTISEMENT being the foreign key in the HORSES, EQUIPMENT, HORSE_BOXES, PRODUCTS, PROPERTY and SERVICES) but again i found it difficult as the foreign key index would not copy the primary key.
I would just like a little help to prevent me going any greyer than i already am.

I decided to use super types and sub types purely because of my design model, basically using rules of inheritance (super table with all common attributes, sub tables with distinctive attributes) however I am seeing that apex is a royal pain in the backside in terms of implementing this. I've seen examples of people using the create type method but have not fully understood what is going on there, I figured if I just created the tables with the subtype primary key referencing to that of the super type(and being the same) that it would work normally, obviously not though.
I will have a go at the master detail forms with tabs on same page and thanks for the idea, I'll have a go then let you know how I get on

ESS Travel Management - Create Expense report error

I am getting below error when "creating expense report" from the portal iView. We are implementing ONLY Travel Expenses subcomponent in the SAP Travel Management, and NOT implementing Travel Requests and Travel Planning.

I am having the same issue but with table TA20C. Like you, we are not using Travel Requests or Travel Planning. I posted a note on ASUG and got a response back from someone else with the same issue. They opened an OSS note and received the following:
"the webdynpro travel services require a minimal consistent
travel planning customizing - if you only use the expenses part.
The consistency check of the customizing is within 1 function module
for both parts planning and expenses. This is indeed not the case in
backend. There will be no change.
The arguments for the tables TA20C and TA20B are influences by the#
return value delivered back from feature TRVOF. So if you only have
entries with user group blank you must ensure that the feature
delivers back a blank user group."

ESS Travel Management - Link ITEM TEXT with DESCRIPTION field

Hi guys!
We are using the travel management in ess.
If I create a trip and use for example the travel expense type flight or hotel and
write a description for each type, I want, that this description is display in the ITEM TEXT in tc FB03.
But the ITEM TEXT displayed always for example *Trip from 09.06.2008 to 12.06.2008
for each position. In the IMG I found nothing to modify this text field.
Where can I customize this field?
It is possible to link the ITEM TEXT with description field in ESS.

How to add attachement in ESS travel management ?

we use travel management of ESS.
when the employee does an travel expense report when finished the traveling he
has expense receipts.
for most of them PAPER receipts do exist.
the users want to attach the paper receipts (which are scanned and stored as PDF-files)
to the travel expense report directly in the portal.
how can i handle this ?

Hi Martin,
I believe they can only liquidate using PR05 you can ask them to include OR numbers and Tax status.
but if they really need to include the image of receipts they can use the SBWP attached file or customize.
You can also use adobe forms i think, which allows uploading of Image (PDF files to the system)..

I am in the middle of implementation of Travel Management and I have need few clarification. I request you please provide your input on the below issue.
1)     Is it possible to attach scanned copies of receipt as an attachment to each expense type.
2)     As per the requirement employeeu2019s supervisor as maintained in Org Management should approve the Travel Expense. Is this possible, If possible what is the workflow we should use and what changes should we make to workflow.
3)     If the client want the approval to be done in 3rd party tool, can that be done.

Hi,
1. It is possible to attach scanned receipts to each expenses. But you need to activate the DMS for the travel expenses.
2. Travel expense can be approved by line manager based on the Rule 168. Ask your workflow guy use the rule to get the immediate supervisor.

Airport General Config Help Required

I've got a wireless Thomson broadband router hooked up downstairs running DHCP server, and upstairs I've got an airport extreme configured in bridge mode. I've got a MAC Mini directly ethernet cabled to the AE.
I can connect to the internet from the Mac, but cannot see a couple of ethernet devices connected to the remaining two AE ethernet ports (Windows Home Server and Buffalo Linkstation).
I can change the config so that the AE acts as the DHCP server, am then able to use WHS and the Linkstation, but not internet.
Can anyone give me any pointers as to how to configure it up (if at all possible). Does the AE need to be hard wired to the router?

I looked under financial accounting->travel management->Travel Planning and Travel Expenses but couldnt figure out where the travel request will be configured. We are using ECC 6.0. Your help is very much appreciated as I am doing configuration alone i dont have any other help.
I have question regading Travel Planning if we want to implement travel planning do we have to use AMADEUS or can we integrate the clients present used travel link to R/3 using RFCs.

Travel Management is highly integrated with HR and Finance. From HR it takes input from various Info Types as well as Organization Hierarchy to be used for approval purposes. Also Workflow plays another important role in Travel Mgmt. In FI, mainly integration point happens when employee gets advance for trip and when the trip gets settled. This involves posting to G/L Accounts and also to Employee vendor account.

Webdynpro Java and ESS/MSS

It has been a rumour for a long time and now it seems that SAP will convert all ESS/MSS services into Webdynpro ABAP....so i want to know what's the plan for Webdynpro Java ...? what areas will it be used...? and what are the options for Webdynpro Java Developers....? ...one thing for sure is to learn Webdynpro ABAP...

As far as I know, SAP has changed travel management and HR administraor from WDJ to WDA as of EhP1.
Do you have any ideas about any other BP?
Actually, I wonder SAP has been developed any new BP based on WDJ after EhP is introduced.
