Traveling and am getting No Service
I am from the US traveling in Germany and the first day all was well with my phone but now I'm getting No Service -- I've tried changing the settings and turning it off and on -- it contines to read No Service. Any helpful ideas?

I arrived in Switzerland about a week ago and also been traveling to Germany on a daily basis.
I have the exact same issue as you. The moment I landed in Zurich, I saw that I had 1 missed call and a voicemail waiting and then since that time all I see is the "No Service" indicator on the phone.
Luckily I had the phone I was using before getting the iPhone...it's a motorola. I turned that one on and it worked. I used it last night to call Verizon Tech Support and from what they noticed, my problem was that the SIM card # in my phone didn't match the SIM # they had on file.
Their solution was to refresh the SIM, which from what I was told, could take several hours. Well, here we are 12hours later and I still have nothing! Furthermore, my old phone won't connect to a service anymore. Now I'm really screwed.
What I find frustrating is that I can't just compose an e-mail and send it to tech support...their site gives me the run-around and I have to register in order to send them an e-mail. To do this, I have to receive the temp password confirmation via SMS only! Now how do you think that could possibly work?!?!?
Please post a reply if you have found a solution or if anyone has an e-mail address that I can send my request for support to.

It worked fine up until a couple of days ago. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it and keep getting this error message. What do I do?
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

I Upgraded the i phone 4 to the ios 5 and i get NO service anywhere even when im at home im connected to wi fi and every 1 else has service but me..... why is that i had the i phone 3g before and it worked great!! but ever since i upgraded and took my daughers phone i have no service!!
Apple cannot check with carriers regarding a block either. You need to contact your cell carrier.

Depends on what you mean by "surprises" in the bill. Verizon's rates for using your phone internationally are pretty expensive, ~$0.99/minute. I would certainly think a 10 minute call for $10 would be surprising!
Well it would certainly depend on your phone, but if it is a 4G LTE phone, you can simply purchase a prepaid SIM card from the location you are going, switch that with the SIM card currently in your phone and you would be using your phone locally in that location. Of course you would need to notify people needing to contact you of your "temporary" new international phone number. Make sure you keep your Verizon SIM card safe as you would want to switch back to it when returning to the states.
You can see Verizon's global services information HERE. It includes a trip planner and would be more specific on the prices you would expect to pay if you chose to use Verizon's service rather than a local SIM card from where you are visiting. -
Getting Java Script error:(0) in travel and expenses in ESS

I had one issue in ESS Travel and expenses ,when I am clicking on Travel and Expenses ->Moment Order
After giving the details I am clicking On -->Add Flight ,after that it is giving blank screen
in bottom of the line getting error : java script error :(0)

And also get it checked by Basis team if the correct internet explorer version is applied to the system you are using for employee self service. -

How to get system status and user status of service order
Hi,
I want to show user status and system status for service order in my report and i am using CRM_ORDER_READ function module to read the status, but it is returning lot of status records, could anyone please suggest how to get the system status and user status for service order.
I did not find any clue for how to get user status, i can see the user status when i open the transaction using CRMD_ORDER.

Go to CRM_JEST table give your service order guid and get the status, pass this status into TJ02. You will get the status of your order.

Apparently a recent update did not install correctly and we get a message: Service (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start systen services, How do we fix this?

i have an iphone 3G 16GB 4.2.1 - i moved back to canada and got telus mobile service. they cant get phone working because cellular data network tab/button is not on my phone. How do i get it on there
OK. T-Mobile is NOT owned by AT&T... yet... The deal hasn't gone through yet. T-Mobie's US network is not compatible with the iPhone. Lots of things don't work right. There is not, and never has been an unlocked 3G sold in the US. Don't know where the phone originated, but more than likely it was in the US. If that's the case, the phone has been hacked/jailbroken to get it to work.
Have you tried doing a restore or restoring the phone as new? I have to warn you, if you do so and the phone is hacked/jailbroken, it will re-lock to AT&T and will become unusalbe. I think your best bet right now might be to save yourself a lot of grief and just upgrade to new phone from a legitimate source.
I would never even consider buying an iPhone on ebay. 99% or more are hacked, jailbroken and/or stolen. -
Please help. My ipod classic could not be recognised by itunes when I connect my ipod to PC. Previously it has been recognised before I updated. This was a while ago now and so I removed all apple files and re installed the latest itunes but am having the same problem.
When I download itunes, it says that Ipod Service failed to start. I checked the services under task manager and when I try to start it, it says access denied. How to I get access and for the ipod service to start and run?Some anti-virus programs (e.g., McAfee) have this rule that can be invoked under the "maximum protection" settings: PREVENT PROGRAMS REGISTERING AS A SERVICE. If that rule is set to BLOCK, then any attempt to install or upgrade iTunes will fail with an "iPod service failed to start" message.
If you are getting this problem with iTunes, check to see if your anti-virus has this setting and unset it, at least for as long as the iTunes install requires. Exactly how to find the rule and turn it on and off will vary, depending upon your anti-malware software. However, if your anti-virus or anti-malware software produces a log of its activities, examining the log may help you find the problem.
For example, here's the log entry for McAfee:

Note that the log says "Common Maximum Protection: Prevent programs registering as a service". The "Common Maximum Protection" is the location of the rule, "Prevent programs registering as a service" is the rule. I used that information to track down the location in the McAfee VirusScan Console where I could turn the rule off.
After I made the change, iTunes installed without complaint.
