Travelling overseas on dont want huge bills

Hi we are going overseas and taking my phone only to send and receive texts.  What do i need to turn off so i dont get charge fees..  I beleive  i need to turn off notifications,   turn off location services...cellular data off too and data roaming off......but what about 3G...?
Also,  what about voice mail...do i need to turn that off...Thanks   Anna

Go to Settings - General - Network - Data Roaming. It says "Turn off data roaming when travelling to disable email, MMS, web browsing and other data services". Then you are fine. You don't have to switch off any other services - because they all receive their data via this. And you don't have to turn off 3G. If you want to save more money, switch off voice mail before you leave the country.

We need billing accounting document with out COPA document.
    thanks,

    Hi Sudha,
The best way will be to reset the fields in transaction KE4W if you do not want a COPA document for a particular billing type.

Yes, unless you are connected to free Wi-Fi.

  • Traveling with iPhone- Avoiding huge bills?

Hey, any ideas what I need to do in order to avoid huge bills...I know you can turn off 'data roaming' but is that gonna do the trick? I will want to have my phone on with mobile reception and utilize wifi to check emails/facebook etc. Are any of the apps installed going to get me with charges...bit concerned that's all!
    Cheers

I am having the same problem here, I don't wanna risk high charges but still want to use free wi fi in hotel etc.
Looking at different forums, I can see that this is a major problem, even with data roaming turned off people are still getting high charges.
One guy I saw, got a bill for £500 when he was abroad with phone, he said it didn't ring once and he didn't send any texts or MMS (can cause high charge)
That's put me off even bringing my phone. Until this issue has a gospel fix, I would advise leaving the phone off the whole time or don't even bring it, it's far too risky at mo in my opinion even with data turned off and push off etc etc. Also, visual voicemail must be turned off as this also carries high charges when abroad.
Can anyone prove me wrong on this?

  • Is it possible to have 2 mail programmes on my macbook pro? one for business related emails and one personal. I dont want all the emails in one mail programme!

Is it possible to have 2 mail programmes on my macbook pro? one for business related emails and one personal. I dont want all the emails in one mail programme. At the moment i have 2 personal email address being sent to my mail but because of receiving huge numbers of work emails it would be good to keep them seperate, what is the best way of doing this?

if i use the one mail programme can it separate the incoming mail from the different email accounts into 2 folders without me having to do it manually?
Yes, you can.  Nearly all email software can do this.  It involves creating two folders and a Rule for each folder.
Maybe call one folder Personal Mail, the other Work Mail (Apple Mail calls folders Mailboxes).  One Rule would route all mail from your personal email account into the Personal Mail folder; the other Rule would route all mail from your work email account into the Work Mail folder.  It's actually easy to do, all you have to do is click a few things and the rule is set up.  Once the Rule is written you can also apply it to existing messages already downloaded to your Mac.
In Apple Mail, Rules are under Preferences > Rules.  Follow the prompts to create a rule like this:
    If = Any
Account = my Personal account (select the name of your personal email account)
Perform the following actions: Move Message to Mailbox = my Personal Mail (select the name of your Personal Mail folder (aka mailbox))
This rule says,  "take any message that comes in from my Personal Account and move it to my Personal Mail mailbox (folder)"
Create a similar rule for your Work email.

Uhm, no... That is not the correct answer at all.
He doesn't want to auto-renew. That is not the same thing as being forced to cancel your account as you are actually suggesting.

  • Dont want account posting while return

    Dear All
I am facing one problem in one scenario.
In return case i dont want one condition type to post. i dont want post one condition in that particular account. i am using the same pricing procedure for sales cycle and return sales. and that condition should be post in sales ( now it is posting correctly ) but i dont want want to post in when i create return billing document. can u please tell me how should i handle it in pricing procedure,i cant find anything in condition type about account posting. but i think i can handle in pricing procedure by using new requirement . and the logic should be while creating return order the value of that condition should pickup zero. am i right ? please give me ur guidance
    Thanks and Regards
    Bhushan Kolte

    Hi,
Based on your requirement, two options are available.
    1. Write a new requirement ( transaction VOFM) and assign tit to condition type with a ABAP code if doc type is return the condition gets disqualified.
    2. Alternatively you can write new condition base value and make it to zero when dco type is return ( transaction VOFM) and assign it to the condition in pricing procedure

  • Dont want to display Faces Message in JSF Page

we are using seam framework. In our application user authentication is failed i create one FacesMessage like this
FacesMessage.instance().add("Login Failed"); but this is displayed in top of the page but i want to display above the username and password field so what i did is i create text above that field .
    <h:outputText value="Login Failed" rendered="#{! empty facescontex.maximumServity}"/>
Its working properly but the problem is in top of the page Login Failed comes from Faces Meassage is also displayed , i dont want to display that message. So i tried to create an message like
FacesMessage.instance().add(""); then its not display the text...
so please any giving suggestion regarding this..
    Thanks in Advance

Sounds like that there is a <h:messages /> element in the top of the page which indeed shows any facesmessage in the queue. Remove that and use component specific <h:message /> elements only. The way that you're handling facesmessages is also bad, it's like a huge roundabout.

  • HT201238 How do i stop the monthly storage plan 20gb? I dont want it anymore. Please help

HI.. Im using ip5 with the latest veraion update.. My problem is, i brought the 20gb storage plan which will cost me $0.99 montlhy. Now,i dont want it anymore. I dont want to use it anymore. How do i stop the plan? I did follow the instruction but it still cost me.. Help!

When you cancel a plan the cancellation does not take effect until the next payment is due - so you won't get a refund for the unused portion of the month but you should not be charged the following month.
If you have followed the instructions correctly and it's not yet a month from the previous payment you would do best to wait until the next payment date and see what happens. If that has already passed and you have been charged then you should contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com . Click 'See all products and services', then ' 'iTunes', and then 'iTunes Store', then 'Purchases, Billing & Redemption'.
