Travelsound x-fi. compatible with x-fi style?

I'm looking at the new x-fi style to replace my old zen. does the travelsound x-fi work with the x-fi style?
for that matter does the travelsound zen mosaic work with the zen style?
i know they don't want to show and advertise that these are essentially old players with a new look, but it'd be nice if they would at least say "Hey, these new(ish) players will work with these older speaker systems, so you can actually have something to listen to them on instead of the tiny built-in speaker!"
so.... anyone have any ideas?
thanks

Hello Nickweed,
Welcome to Creative forums!
I don't think the ZEN X-Fi Style works with TravelSound X-Fi. The position of the of USB and Audio/AV ports are not aligned with that of the TravelSound's.

  • Is there a way I can use Catalyst to create my custom flex components but make compatible with 3.5

I am new to Catalyst and looking for a way to create components in Catalyst to be compatible with an existing application created in SDK 3.5.
I am working on a project for a client to reskin an existing flex application done in SDK 3.5, but they are not ready to migrate yet to SDK 4.0.
I really want ot use Catalyst to create some custom components for the new style of this existing application, but the problem is the that the spark component architecture and the old version 3.5 are not compatible. Is there a way around this until they are ready to migrate to 4.0 or will I have to create my components in flash and bring them into flashbuilder with a swc this way instead? What would be the best approach for me at this point, please help?

No. Flash Catalyst leverages the new component framework that was introduced in 4.0 (aka Spark). Flex 3.5 and earlier used a framework (referred to as MX or Halo). That framework is incompatible with Flash Catalyst.

  • Photoshop CS6 - files compatible with all CS versions?

I create designs with Photoshop CS6. Oftentimes they include clipping masks, layers, groups ... . Will my client be able to modify the design with every CS version? Are my designs (made with CS6) 100% compatible with very old CS versions, too?  Or should he/she own a newer version of Photoshop CS?
    Thank you much!

Yes, you have to worry about compatibility. Groups within groups within groups have changed considerably over the years. Before CS3, you could even only have one group level at the root level of the document, no nested groups. That has been expanded ever since. Likewise, per-group masks, clipping paths and layer styles have only been introduced in CS5/ CS6. There's a couple of other things as well like CS6 having changed the order of certain layer styles, but you get the idea. I'm sure if you read some articles or the online help's "What's New" sections for each version, you wil lget the full picture. As long as you avoid these specialty cases and keep your document simple and save it with teh "Maximize Compatibility" option, most files should open in one way or another even in older versions, but there's simply no way to guarantee that each and every bit will be fully editable otehr than in the same version it was originally created.

  • Is canon EF 24-85mm F3.5-4.5 lens compatible with canon eos 6D ? is it work fully automatic ?

Is canon EF 24-85mm F3.5-4.5 lens  compatible with canon eos 6D ? is it work fully automatic ?

6D requires lenses with an EF mount. You list your lens as an EF (the mount style) 24-85 zoom so yes it will work but it may not provide nice crisp images on such a modern high mpixel camera. The newer bodies show the weaknesses of older consumer grade lenses.

  • Is the magsafe 85W compatible with my macbook pro from 2006?

I've got a MacBook Pro from 2006 - MacBook Pro 2.2 Intel Core 2 Duo and my magsafe that has worked fine all this time is finally giving up on me.
Searching for a replacement have brought me this info from Apple:
"If you  receive a replacement MagSafe adapter with a "L" style MagSafe connector  when you previously had a "T" style MagSafe connector, the "L" style  adapter is fully compatible with your Apple computer."
While this site - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2346 -  seems to indicate that I need to use a T-shaped connector..
Does it matter whether I get a T- or an L-shaped connector?
Any help or suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Happy Holidays to you and your family.

  • Is OWB 11.1 compatible with 11g database  cubes/dimensions

I heard OWB 11.1 stores data in 10g format and it is not compatible with 11g format. However AWM 11.1 creates 11g compatible data. Is it true? Any idea?
    thanks

    Hi
That is correct, the OWB 10gR2 and 11gR1 releases both generate OLAP 10g style cubes using the AWXML api. AWM 11.1 can create/administer both 10g and 11g styles cubes. Needless to say, it takes a little time to catch up with an ever changing API....plenty of fun stuff to come ;-)

  • Is the Keithley 2612A compatible with Labview 7.1?

    Hi,
I've got a shiny new Keithley 2612A dual channel sourcemeter and would like to start using it our lab's system.  We are currently using LabView 7.1.
I found a driver for the 2612A, but it says it's only compatible with LabView 8 or higher:
    http://www.keithley.com/base_download?dassetid=51950
Does anyone know of another driver, or other method that I might get this thing working in LabView 7.1?
    Many thanks,
    John
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Download it and post it to the Downconvert thread.
edit - It's a project style driver which was introduced with LabVIEW 8. It might take a little longer.

  • I want to buy surveillance cameras and software that are compatible with Mtn Lion, what do you suggest?

I want to buy surveillance cameras and software that are compatible with Mtn Lion, what do you suggest?

You do have the ability to create good user interfaces with LabVIEW.
The main problem is what do you, or your customer consider a good user
    interface.
The first thing I would suggest is to start using the "Dialog Control"
controls for your front panel. This set of controls pick up their style
from the operating system, so they will match the rest of the system
    applicaitons.
Another thing is limit the use of color on the front panel. One persons
idea of a nice shade of blue can be another person eyesore. Instead,
use the decorations for grouping of controls.
I would stay away from ActiveX. It's interface is quirky at best and there is a lot of overhead involved.
Just to show it's possible, the attached images are screen shots of
user interfaces I've designed with LabVIEW. The first two use the
Dialog Controls, and the third uses standard controls and color at the
    customers request.

  • When will you make adobe compatible with Dreamweaver

I'm a UI Designer. I know light html and CSS. I don't want to have to figure out all the latest browser compatibilities, and I want to be able to avoid learning javascript/jquery but be able have cool effects in my website or client websites like parallax scrolling, lightbox, etc.
If you went about this in an intelligent manner, you would make this compatible with Dreamweaver for designers to update, for UI/UX designers to use as high fidelity prototypes that can be handed off to developers later, and for designers to import into Dreamweaver to finesse styles and change elements. If this doesn't happen, I can easily see this becoming a dinosaur like Web Objects Fusion and clients will be left with obsolete products.
PLEASE make this a useful product that plays well with Dreamweaver!

You have it backwards. Google (and other 3rd-party vendors) must make their products compatible with the browser.
    '''<u>Some Background Information</u>'''<br />
Included with every Firefox extension is a file named install.rdf. In that file is a parameter "em:maxVersion" which indicates the maximum Firefox version with which the extension '''<u>has been tested and approved by the developer</u>''' (Google, in this case). Only the developer (Google) is responsible for changing that parameter. Firefox enforces that parameter.
That said. Google and all other developers know where to find the Firefox release schedule for new versions and where to find the test versions (beta) to use to test their product. The location of the release schedule and the beta versions '''is no secret'''. Firefox 5, and all other versions, underwent several weeks of beta testing, during which third-party developers (Google) had an opportunity to do their testing and make necessary changes to make their product(s) compatible. In addition to the 4 weeks of beta testing for Firefox 5, Google has had an additional 19 days since the release of Firefox 5, to make their product compatible. '''<u>Ask Google what is keeping a compatible release from being introduced.</u>'''
'''<u>Google MAY be ceasing support for their toolbar in Firefox.</u>''' See the list of supported browsers in the following:
    '''<u>An add-on that may help</u>'''<br />
Many users have found that installing the following add-on will restore some (maybe all) functionality for Google's toolbar.

  • Hi, i want to buy headphones that are compatible with my 3rd gen. shuffle

hi, i want to buy headphones that are compatible with my 3rd gen. shuffle. can you please recommend which to purchase? It appears that you do not sell the older headphones style.

This is a user to user forum. Apple is not here.
for headphones, any 3.5mm headphones will work just fine.
Apple sells the Earpods which should work just fine with a shuffle. And there are also other brands available.
Make sure you choose the wired earphones.  Wireless ones will not work with a shuffle.
