Trazado en Indesing

Tengo un problema con la tipografia de las portadas, que cuando lo habren en fotomecanica se les desplaza el traquin de la tipografia, y para corregir ese problema tengo que trazarlas, pero debido a mi ignorancia lo unico que puedo hacer es "crear contornos" en el menu texto...
Hay alguna forma de seleccionar y realizar un trazado en vez de crear contornos?
El problema esta solucionado creando contornos, pero algo me dice que no es la solucion mas optima.

Efectivamente el problema es raro y no hay explicacion alguna de photomecanica, los informaticos realizaron varias pruebas con mis documentos y no les da problemas, pero a ellos les sigue dando el mismo problema de traquin.
Trabajo casi toda la revista en pdf excepto publicidades y la portada, (que contiene publi).
Vos sabrias decirme cual es la opcioin en Indesing para realizar trazados?
Lo de hacer pdf en la portada; decidiron (no me preguntes porque) mandarlo en abierto, asi que la opcion realizar pdf no esta contemplada.
Si no me equivoco, crear contornos no es lo mismo que trazar, no?

Indesing Panels and Windows

Hi guys,
I have to finish a work document in Indesing in a PC, i don't have my Mac with my preferences and so on. I notice that the default Windows Panels in text doesn't show as much info as i would like to, for example, kerning, tracking, hyphenation, adjust to baseline, etc.
I am sure there is a way to open those extra features in the text pannel info.

The panels work identically on Mac and Windows. It looks like there's no enough room to show everything. Open the panel menu and set the preferences for what you want there.

Mini Bridge options in Indesing CC

Good evening.
Can anybody tell me if are you able to use the "Options Panel" on Mini Bridge CC in Indesing CC? Thanks.

Steve. Removed all autoload software except for Flash. No joy.
mini bridge still not functioning properly.
I removed the autoload software, rebooted. started bridge and rebuilt preferences and deleted cache. Started Indesign. Open mini bridge window. opened document and attempted to use mini-bridge to place art on page.

Problem with InDesing hiding and other programs can not be opened on screen at the same time.

I have just installed InDesign on my Mac today. When opened it takes up all the screen and then when I try to open any other programs like a browser, it hides. I would like to make the InDesign window smaller, so I can follow instructions from a website, but the minimize window size buttons are not showing up at all. Any idea how I can fix the InDesing window size and show it along with the browser? Also how to detach it from Finder bar on the top of my screen?

Thank you so much for all your help. I was now able to fix it. It was after all the problem with the application frame being Off by dafout. It was showing up, but taking my whole descktop. Now when I followed your advice and checket it on under "Window" , it become much smaller and I am not able to resize it and the buttons to minimize or close it are now showing up (they were invisible before). Thank you so much to all of you who have helped me here.
If I may have one more question, I have enocuntered another problem with using this Trial version of inDesign. When I wanted to access Bridge from the Bridge icon inside the program, I got an message that I need to download it from Creative Clowd. I found it strange since I have Photoshop CS6 and Brigge is part of this program, so I don't want to pay for it via Clowd service.
I was able to open Bridge by just clicking on the program from my software launch screen, so it is now working along InDesign, but I wanted it to be part of the InDesign workspcace, so it would show along the program frame on the right of InDesign window and then could be attached there and moved along with it. In such set up I won't need to move each program frame separatelly when they are in my way while I work. I wonder if it could be fixed and how. Any ideas? I would appreciate very much your reply.

Adobe reconoce errores de INDESING CS 2

Hola a todos.
Desde que compramos el CS2 he tenido inumerables y agotadores problemas con las notas al pie de página de Indesing, ya que no los puedo editar manualmente, colocarlos en marcos de textos independientes o ubicarlos en otro lugar distinto de la página.
Fuera de esto al momento de compaginar con el plugin de InBooklet SE se viene la peor pesadilla ya que el plugin al realizar dicha tarea rompe los enlaces de los marcos de texto de todos los pliegos, inclusive rompe los enlaces de las columnas de la misma página. es como si cortara y pegara, esto hace que cada nota de pie de página se renumere empezando todas en el 1. Es decir si tengo un libro de 300 páginas con 85 notas al pie que van numeradas consecutivamente, en el documento compaginado, en cada pliego donde este una nota al pie esta empezará en 1 y no con el número que le corresponde en el consecutivo.
Escribí en más de 3 ocaciones a adobesupport y no me daban explicación, por último recibi un mensaje donde me indicaban que llamara al 01-800-5-1-80102 y que me podían resolver el problema, la llamada duro más de 40 minutos y Carlos P uno de los de soporte técnico despues de consultar, hacer el ejercicio en línea conmigo y de explicarle una y otra vez me dijo: "ESE PROBLEMA NO TIENE SOLUCIÓN, LO ÚNICO SERÍA NO CREAR UN DOCUMENTO NUEVO AL COMPAGINAR SINO MANDAR A IMPRIR UN PDF. SERÍA BUENO QUE ESCRIBIERAS UN REQUERIMIENTO A ADOBE PARA QUE LO SOLUCIONE EN LA VERSIÓN 5. y listo... valiente solución!!!
Para nosotros que editamos muchos libros con muchas notas al pie de página ha sido una pesadilla y una inversión perdida, la única solución que encontre fue instalar el CS 1 en otro equipo y trabajar allí.

A mi me toca hacer la imposición pues en el taller creativo donde trabajo también tenemos imprenta, aqui hacemos toda la preproducción inclusive el montaje ya que somos nosotros los que decidimos el tamaño del papel, la cantidad de tiros, el tipo de fotomecanica, CTP o CTF de acuerdo al trabajo y la maganitud.
Desde el inicio de Indesing cuando teniamos que comprar el plugin para compaginar pues Indesing no lo incluia compramos el InBooklet SE y nunca tuvimos problemas, inclusive con libros mucho más grandes con varios capitulos y con marcadores de sección y claro esta mucho menos con las notas al pie de página, ya que teniamos que ubicarlas manualmente, y eso de cierta manera era bueno ya que teniamos la libertad de hacer una maqueta más libre ya que podiamos ubicar las notas de pie de página donde nosotros decidieramos, de esta manera se diseñaron muchas revistas, boletines y folletos.
Ahora las reglas han cambiado con las nuevas implementaciones que Adobe aportó a Indesing en las Notas al Pie, pues como dices Federico, da solución a la colocación y a su uso más común de las Notas, en eso estoy de acuerdo, pero cuando queremos editar otro número de una de nuestras revistas cuyas Notas al pie no tienen un uso "común" ahi esta el problema, pues de ningún modo puedo editarlas manualmente, no las puedo mover o colocar en otro lugar.
Por otra parte, la solución de crear un PDF al momento de compaginar con el InBooklet en lugar de crear un documento nuevo soluciona en gran medida el problema de que se renumeren todas las notas al pie, pero en algunos casos no puedo hacer el PDF porque tengo la necesidad de hacer algunos cambios el documento compaginado, por ejemplo cuando una imagen comparte dos páginas, en el compaginado aparece sólo en una, invadiendo parte de la otra página tapando textos y graficos y en la otra donde debería aparacer la otra parte queda vacia. Por otro lado el PDF que se crea es un PDF 7- 1.6 que preserva las transparencias, no las acopla, y en la fotomecánica me informaron que el RIP no acepta dichos PDF, nosotros trabajamos con el estandar PDF X-1a / 2001.
Yo se que muchos de los problemas descritos se pueden solucionar con un monton de "marañas" o chapuzas, pero cuando el trabajo es mucho y de muchas paginas y muchos clientes esperando que se cumpla su cronograma, es muy desalentador. Como dije antes me ha tocado trabajar de nuevo en el CS1. Sólo falta esperar que las nuevas implementaciones en la CS3 tengan en cuanta los trabajos menos comunes.
PD: voy a tratar de convencer a mi jefe de provar el plugin que me sugieren, no lo he probado, ojalá me lo compren.

Problemas con InDesing cs

tengo un problema con InDesing cs,lo estoy instalando en un sistema panther 10.3.3 y necesito mandar impresiones a un rip,ya cargue el ppd de la impresora y lo ve pero no lo activa por lo que al mandar a impresion saca un error,el problema al parecer es solo cuando mando desde InDesing cs 3.0 ya que mando de page maker 7,photoshop e illustrator sin ningun problema,ojala me pudieran ayudar ya no se que hacer,gracias

Hola. Primero que todo dos recomendaciones. La próxima ocación abre un tema nuevo, no entierres tu pregunta en temas viejos y en los foros no se acostumbra a responder a los correos personales, para eso estan los foros para recibir las respuestas en el, asi otras personas que tengan un problema similar, también lo puedan leer.
En cuento a tu problema: En Indesign desde su primera versión hasta la CS1 había que comprar el plugin para compaginar, el más sencillo es el InBooklet, el CS2 y CS3 ya lo trae inserto.
Te recomiendo te subas de versión de CS, ya sea al CS2 o mucho mejor y claro esta a la CS3 que es la última.
Anteriormente podiamos bajar una versión de prueba del plugin del Inbooklet, pero Alap que es la empresa que lo fabrica, fue comprada en su totalidad por Quark la competencia directa de Indesign y obviamente ya no estará más para Indesign, existen otros plugins como el impositon Pro o el Creo Preps que es un programa no un plugin para la imposición de cualquier tipo de archivos.

Indesing doesn't launch after Mavericks update

I believe TD was referring to rstoring your iPhoto Library, not the system. But I doubt that you'll be able to restore your library intact from Carbonite. You should certainly try, however.

Proxy credential during start of CS6 Illustrator or inDesing

I prepare two automatic silent installation for SCCM enviroment.
One MSI package is for Illustrator and the other one for inDesign.
I use AAMEE 3.1. where I insert my proxy credentials to verify serial number and then I have created new Adobe ID to continue the MSI preparation.
Question is what part of CS6 SW is asking me to insert Proxy credentials after start of Illustrator or inDesing??
I must prepare installation without any need of user interaction during the SW start. No communication with internet is allowed, so I must disable this windows security pop up window... I get this window 5 times after start of Illustrator or InDesing.
What part of Illustrator SW is trying to connecto to the internet? Is it because of wrong activation?
Is adobe help trying to communicate with internet?
How to disable those internet commnication requests?
I had no problem when I was preparing MSI for Photoshop CS6... Thats only for inDesign or Illustrator.

is someone find a solution for this problem ? do we know how to disable these access through the internet ?

Installing font indesing cs6

Hi
i need to install fonts for using on a indesing document, i recevived the fonts, but indesing doesn't recognize them and I have fontexplorer doesn't recognize them too.
I have tried to copy the fonts in the library folder of the systam (mac) and in the fonts folder of indesing, but when opening the document, it says the fonts are missing.Indesign cs6.
I don't know why the files show zero bytes
any idea?

Well, looking at the file dates in the screenshot, it's been more than ten years since these files were created. Reassembling resource and data fork is doable, but it's been ten years since I knew how.
fireblade, if you have access to the source Mac then make sure that the files aren't already zero K there. In ye olden days the secret was to avoid zipping and only use Stuffit, but unless the source Mac is running 10.3 or whatever, then I doubt that this trick will help you.
I see a reference to "afm" in that screenshot. I recall that as a dead giveaway that these files were originally compiled on Windows. Did Mac T1 fonts have the separate afm and pfm files as they did on Windows? Once again, this is all too far in the past for me to have clear memories.

My plugin reads a ini file to configurate the main menu.
It is possible read this file when starting InDesing and hide some submenus created in Myplugin.fr?
I have no problem to hide/show a menu, but I don´t know what is the first event that runs after loading my plugin.
Is there other possible way to do this?

Have you tried implementing a startup/shutdown service provider (IID_IAPPSTARTUPSHUTDOWN)? If it's too late to hide the menu, then an IMenuFilter/IActionFilter should do the job for you to hide menu. Or you can dynamically build the menu on the fly too (see dynamicmenu sample from SDK)

Meter mas de 256 caracteres en una tabla de contenidos de Indesing CS. 2

Necesito ayuda para ver la forma de meter mas de 256 caracteres en una tabla de contenido en Indesing CS.2, o donde puedo conseguir un plugin.

No sé cuantos casos habrá con ese problema, digo cuantos enunciados tienen más de 256 caracteres, pero si son pocos lo más rápido es ir en "busca" de él, copiar y pegar. Si son muchos pues entonces dividir los enunciados en dos estilos identicos enunciado 011 enunciado 012 y poner ambos en la tabla de contenidos, la primero le pones sin número y al segundo sí. Es un chapuza, pero si te sirve, buena es.
No conozco ningún plug-in.

Most likley the installation is damaged in some way, but can you give us the exact error message?
Which version of InDesign? Which operating system? Did the program work before? If it did, what have you changed on your computer?
