Treasury Upgrade

Hi Friends,
We are in the process of upgradation. I know there is a SAP website to find the differences between the versions, but they are high level differences
What are the common differences in the treasury CFM ( like EBS, money market, FX, In house cash) side from 4.6c to ECC 6.0.
what are the major issues that one can face during an treasury CFM upgrade.
Any other suggestion is appreciated

There are lot's of table structure and field level changes. Most of these are well supported by OSS team in waldorf.
It would make sense to invest time in testing all business scenarios with the new functionality that SAP in ERP 6.0. Some important transactions in earlier version are now redundant.
There is a migration transaction TPM_MIGRation. You will be well advised to read that and go step by step as advised there. Try not to jump steps here

Upgrade 4.6C to ECC 6.0 - Key figures missing in Treasury drill down report

Hello experts,
We have upgraded from SAP version 4.6C to ECC 6.0. Due to this fact, we have converted all the TR-TM and TR-LO master data and transaccional data, using TPM_MIGRATION.
However, when we start the tests in the system, we have noticed that, in the transaction TRM3, in ECC 6.0 we do not have the same key figures that we had in 4.6C and, consequently, we had 3 reports in the 4.6C version that we do not have in ECC 6.0.
When we access the t-code TRM3 in 4.6C we have 16 folders (16 key figures), and when we access the same t-code in ECC 6.0 we only have 10 folders (10 key figures). In order to create the missing reports we need the key figure "Securities: For a giving period". This key figure exists in the 4.6C but does not exist in the ECC 6.0.
Do you have any idea about how can we transport the reports from the system 4.6C to ECC 6.0, or, alternatively, how can you create these reports in ECC 6.0?

Upgrade CFM from Sap R/3 Enterprise (4.7) Sap to ECC 6.00

Hello,
We are in a project of upgrade Sap from Sap R/3 Enterprise (4.7) to Sap ECC 6.00. Our question is particularly for CFM component migration/upgrade.
As we checked we have activate the extension set:
EA-FIN: Financials Extension
EA-FS: Financial Services
According with the Component Version Data the extension set EA-FINSERV has the release 2.00. However, in order to execute the CFM migration with transaction TPM_MIGRATION we are not sure if our CFM installation is on release 1.00 or 2.00.
In the other OSS note 858966 mentions the following conditions to start points migration:
1. The start release of the upgrade is SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.70 with SAP
R/3 Enterprise extension set 1.10 or earlier.
2. The target release of the upgrade is SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.70 with SAP
R/3 Enterprise extension set 2.00 or higher.
Do you know a transaction o report Sap which provides this information?

Within SAP, select System -> Status... In the pop-up box, click the details button in the SAP System data section and you'll get another pop-up with system component information. It's been a couple of years since I did the Treasury migration for our upgrade from 4.7 to 6.0, but I believe the component you're looking for is EA-FIN. The Release column will have either 110 (for extension set 1.10) or 200 for (2.00).

WS20000263 Workflow configuration in Treasury (Business partner approval)

Hi Experts,
Currently we are doing an SAP Upgrade from 46C to ECC 6.0 (Enh. 4) and in Treasury we cannot solve a problem. There is a workflow (id: WS20000263) which is used in case when the BP is created or changed. This workflow was used in 46C, but in ECC 6.0 this is changed (in the new system the BP is managed in a different way as it was in 46C - Central Business Partner).
The problem is that the workflow is not working: I am not even able to do the proper configuration. There are some contradictory parts in SAP help which confuse me! (i.e.: in SPRO in "Active Release" config point, it says "activate the release object CBP SAP Business Partner". But the table - which contains this configuration point - is filltered for "ZBP" object, which means i can activate only the "ZBP" object and never the "CBP" object. The other point is that I cannot add "CBP" value in a "proper" way...)
I hope any of you faced with this workflow configuration and help me out or at least give me some advices.

release and then choose Application Help. In SAP Library, choose Business Functions (SAP
enhancement package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0) -> Business Functions in SAP ERP -> Enterprise
Business Functions -> Accounting -> Financial Supply Chain Management -> SAP Treasury
and Risk Management.

And we found the drilldown reports of TR have been changed in migration.

Product Category 56 u2013 Facilities; Product Category 57 u2013 Treasury missing

When we try to configure treasury management in our ECC 6.0 EHP4 upgrade box, we found that there are many datas missing in SPRO in our customizing client 100. Whereas these are available in client 000.
Like
SPRO > Financial supply chain management > Treasury and Risk Management > Transaction Manager > General settings
Transaction Management
Define field selection - data missing when compared with 000 client
Define number ranges - data missing when compared with 000 client.
We are not sure whether we need to activate any specific settings to get these missing values, otherwise our finance team has to fully reenter/recreate these missing entries in our customizing client.
We have already activate EA-FS - Financial services in SFW5, but still the data is missing

The adjustment function is available in many configuration transactions within the IMG, not just those within FSCM.
Go to the configuration transaction you want to adjust. Make sure that you are in change mode. Within the transaction select the Utilities menu. If the Adjustment function is available for the configuration, the Utilities menu will contain an Adjust option. Select this option to run the Adjustment. As a part of the process, you will need to log into the client/system, that you want to adjust from.

You need to activate the EA FINSERV component which is Business fucntion set available in ERP 6.0. The activation switch is available in SFW1 . I assume you are licensed to use this product

Upgrading 4.6 C to ECC 6.0

Hi,
Our company is currently looking into upgrading to ECC 6.0 from 4.6C.
I would like to know what is required for upgrading 4.6C to ECC 6.0.
Is ECC 6.0 and add-on from 4.6 C or does it overwrites 4.6C?
For your information, we are using SAP HR and Finance and a lot of the modules are heavily customized.
What are the some of the risks involved in doing this upgrade?

Upgrading from 4.6c to ECC 6.0 is not a trivial task. There are substantial differences between these. You should expect that approximately 15% of your cutom coding would have to be looked at, and possibly modified. If you have created authorization roles for you end-users, then most of these will have to be touched and regenerated after verification.
You mentioned that your company is using HR in 4.6c, so I assume that you are also running payroll through SAP. In that case, the upgrade process most likely requires a dual landscape and involve parallel processing of payroll.
You also indicated that your company uses Finance in SAP. If this includes Treasury, then you will also need to do a Business PArtner conversion, You can check SAP documentation on what is involved here.
To do such an upgrade properly you will probably require the services of SAP or another Consultancy that has experience such an upgrade.
Depending on the complexity of your landscape, you are looking at an upgrade process taking about 4 -8 months (which would include testing)

Thank you very much for you reply. Please note that I am in ECC 6.0 with EHP 4 installed. It looks FIN_TRM_PSM_INTEGRATION will be definitley required for my project as I have PSM activated. Also, I have activated FS too. But, I am not able to see FIN_TRM_PSM_INTEGRATION in my "Activate Business Functions". Am I missing something.
By the way, when we went fo upgrade to ECC 6.0 with EHP4, the TRM was not activated. As part of the new project to implement Treasury, I have activated TRM. But, I could not find FIN_TRM_PSM_INTEGRATION?
Could you please suggest me?

Treasury Money Markets- Operative Valuation Area and Parallel Valuation Are

Hello Folks
I have a problem I am trying to fix in Treasury Money Markets. The guys that created the fixed term deposits in Money markets did not create them in the Operative Valuation area. They created them in the Parallel Valuation area and went ahead to initialize it, they deleted the operative valuation area. Now the problem came in when new transactions were created. In the process of creation they asked for the operative Valuation area i.e. the new transactions being created. This was then created, but now the problem comes in settling and posting of the old transactions that have matured. These do not exist in the Operative Valuation area.
I cant post anything using TBB1 for the old transactions that were created without the operative valuation area, the system dumps and from the analysis I can see that its the lack of the operative valuation area. For the new transactions being created, a payment request cannot be generated for transactions requiring one.
How can I make sure that the Transactions in the Parallel valuation area also exist in the operative valuation area? Has anyone ever had this problem? Any suggestions on how I can go about solving this problem?

Hi,
I assume the valuation area you are asking about is in transaction manager component only. Technically all valuation areas are same in the sense that they have the same functionality. But from a functional stand point, every valuation area is determined based on either different accounting principles or different valuation needs. For e.g. one valuation area can be for your local GAAP while one can be for IFRS. It all depends on the business requirements whether you need multiple valuation areas at all or you can use one itself.
By default 1 valuation area is required and hence 001 will be active and this will be your operative valuation area. Any other valuation are you define will be parallel valuation area. Now if you dont want other valuation areas, then you need not create them. In your system, if you have been using 004 as for lets say IFRS and after upgrading you can configure 001 according to IFRS itself if you dont want VA according to any other GAAP.

IPod no longer works with car stereo since upgraded MBA & iTunes

My iPod classic has worked just fine connected to my car stereo since i bought it last june. I just bought a new Macbook Air (OS 10.7.3) & installed ITUNES 10.6.1. After I synched my ipod for the first time its recognised by the car but i get a "can't read data" message. I re-formatted my ipod but its exactly the same. Do you think its the upgrade- or the cable? Has anyone else found a bug with this version of Itunes or the OS? I have my doubts a cable would make the difference, and my old ipod nano that i haven't synched for a while works fine.

If standalone works fine, then, most likely the 30 pin connect may have some dirt or lint, prevent data transfer.
You can try to blow it clean, if you have a can of compressed air or gas.
Alternatively you can connect it to the car stereo and do the RESET, while connnected.as follows
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs or till the Apple Logo comes ON
Then release the buttons
Select your preferred language.

The Reset sequence may send a signal to the Car stereo to do the right thing

Brand new IPOD Touch Apps no longer work after upgrading software

I got a Ipod touch for my wife Today at Wal-Mart. I brought it home, connected to wifi and downloaded some apps and also payed for some. They all worked fine. Then I connected to computer to transfer songs. It told me to upgrade the Ipod software so i Did. After it restarted none of the downloaded apps work anymore. I have read MANY MANY MANY discussions on this and there is no fix. I am not wiping out all the songs and reload everything all over again. It will take forever. My wifes BD is Friday and this is making me so mad after I just dropped $300 on this thing. APPLE!!! Where is the fix? I deleted the apps and reinstalled they still don't work. Anybody got this figured out? I am getting ready to get my money back and tell everyone to avoid buying ipod until they get this upgrade bug fixed.

I have the same problem. Brand new two days ago. I synched the touch with Itunes but wasn't hooked up to the internet at the time so didn't do the software upgrade right away. Then I downloaded about a dozen apps (free and paid) with wifi directly to the touch. They all worked fine. Then I plugged it back in to Itunes and had it upgrade it to 3.1.2. It locked up Itunes several times since then and the downloaded apps no longer work (they start to open then disappear).
The problem is, no one is listening to this problem (including Anna above)! Everyone says "just do a hard reboot, or restore to factory settings, reload the apps, etc." I've tried all the standard troubleshooting but none of it fixes this. It sure seems to me this is a problem with 3.1.2 but Apple isn't helping out here. Where are you APPLE? Use some of those outrageous profits you're making to fix the problem you have created. Here's $300 of my hard earned dollars pretty much down the drain.

Ipod touch can no longer connect to XP following Apple upgrade, HELP !

This is a nightmare. My son has an ipod touch (8gb)purchased a couple of months, and it's been fine until a couple of days ago. I downloaded some music for him, and just about to synch when Apple informed me on itunes of a software upgrade, so naturally I did this. However, it could not complete it saying there was a problem installing the hardware. The ipod then had a permanent picture of a usb cable pointing towards the itunes logo. Itunes no longer recognises this ipod or my own ipod as a device.
I'm not a techhie expert, but I generally know my way around computers, however I could not resolve this.
I called the Apple technical support desk, where I spent 1 hour 45 minutes with 2 different advisors who could not resolve this. We installed and re-installed various components from drivers to itunes to anti virus software, however nothing could change. There was simply no recognition of the ipod at all when connected.It does give a pop up message to restore the ipod, however you can't actually click on the restore button because to have to get rid of the pop up message first, then the screen with the restore facility disappears.
Windows xp is continually popping up a message saying " FOUND NEW HARDWARE WIZARD There was a problem installing this hardware. Apple Mobile USB driver. An error occured during the installation of the device. The system cannot find the file specified."
You then have to click on finish, however the message keeps coming back. We kept going round and round in circles with the technical support people, where it was left that I should start removing programmes on my computer to see if any of those are causing a problem. I have had the same spyware for the last 12 months now and never had a problem before, nor any other programmes.
I booked a genius appointment at my local Apple store today where the assistant reset the ipod to factory settings so it could at least work. I explained the situation, however 15 minutes was never going to be long enough to look into it, and a restore was all they did. Obviously all of my programmes were lost, however when I got home and plugged it back into the computer again, it could not be recognised by itunes and i got the same pop up message. Luckily we have not spent alot on downloads, however my son has lost his music now and it cannot be connected or upgraded. It's under guarantee however a software upgrade by Apple has totally messed my computer up. I really don't know who to turn to now as both the service support and store has not rectified this, something I feel has been caused by Apple.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
