Treatment to reverse asset from external acquisiton that already run deprec

Dear Gurus,
One asset is the user want to reverse 3XXXXX. The asset from external asset acquisition with ttype 100. My question is how treatment for this problem. The asset already run deprecition. If the user receive will it make problem to accounting treatment?

Hi,
An asset posting can be reversed using transaction AB08.
For the already posted depreciation an adjustment posting posted when reversing. Once running the depreciation program the depreciation adjustment will be posted also.

okay from reading posts it seems if I transfer my backed up info from my old comp to the new one and erase my dad's phone's back up i could reset my phone and it would transfer all my old data back onto the phone, be linked to the new computer and i could proceed. Where do i find the backed up info from my phone?

Our user has found that, one asset is suppose not charge / classified to asset but created as asset. the asset already run depreciation. what the best treatment to tacle this problem, can we use transaction code: ab08 or the user must doing the entry thru jurnal.. Perhaps someone outside there have the same experiences like me and what the best solution to give the user

Post a transaction thru ABSO, with transaction type 105 using asset vlaue date as same as your asset acq date.
Then total 100% will be reversed from the asset acq APc account and the posted depreciation will be adjusted in the next dep posting run. (posted dep will be credited to expense account for that asset in next run)

Loading library assets from external .swf

Ok, so here's what I want to do. I'm creating an application
that has optional classes that it can instantiate based on what the
needs are. These classes operate things like Session Logging
utilities, etc. These items obviously have assets that they need
available such as movieclips and buttons. For example, the Session
Logger has a sessionLog_mc clip that has a log window with buttons
and the log display. I want to be able to have my class load the
external .swf that contains the assets for the Session Logger and
then use attachMovie(), once the .swf is loaded, to attach the
sessionLog_mc from the library of the loaded external .swf file.
This does NOT seem to work at all. This seems like it has to be
possible. I don't want to be forced to put all my code into
external .swf's too. I just want some external asset .swf's (or
maybe just one large one) that I can load. Is this possible? I am
wanting to have the ability to show the progress of loading each of
these components while the application is starting up and loading
the asset files. Thanks so much!

Moving iTunes library to an external drive that already has music on it?

I want an external drive that contains music to be designated as my iTunes library. How do I do it?
Note: I do not want to move an existing library to the external drive, just start fresh with the library on the drive.

welcome to the discussion area, pbay !
1) launch iTunes with the option key pressed. choose to create a new library when prompted.
2) in preferences > advanced make sure iTunes is pointed to the external drive and that +keep iTunes media folder organized+ and +copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library+ are checked.
3) from the iTunes file menu, choose +add to library+ and start populating iTunes with the tunes you want.
when you have added all tunes to your new library, make sure they play fine. right-click on random files and +get info+. look at the summary tab and check if the path leads to the correct location (your external drive).
when satisfied, the original files can be deleted.

Here's the story - I have a Video Ipod. I have music on it from my ITunes that I installed on my computer (PC). My sister has her own computer with her own itunes and her own ipod installed on it (same model Ipod and same version Itunes and also a PC). I want her music. I want it on my Ipod. How do I do this?
When I connected my ipod to her computer it said that another user was using Ipod software and that they had to log off before it would recognize my ipod. How do I do this without affecting her Itunes/Ipod settings? Help? Thank you....

Firefox won't open links from other programs if already running

I've seen this reported many other places, but none of the solutions have worked. I am running Firefox v33.0.2 (current as of this message) on Windows 7 64-bit (fully updated). I did the following:
1. Completely deleted my profile;
2. Uninstalled Firefox, then manually deleted all remaining files on the system pertaining to Firefox and rebooted;
3. Gone into the Windows "Default Programs" control panel (DPCP) and told it to make Internet Explorer the default (giving it all of its defaults);
4. Downloaded a fresh copy of the installer and installed Firefox 33.0.2;
5. Let the installer set my default browser to Firefox;
6. Tested link opening behaviour (see below);
7. Let Firefox set itself as the default browser when it asked me;
8. Tested link opening behaviour again (see below);
9. With Firefox not running, gone back into the DPCP, and had it set all of Firefox's defaults;
10. Tested link opening behaviour again (see below);
11. With Firefox not running, set Internet Explorer to the default via the DPCP, then back to Firefox;
12. Tested link opening behaviour again (see below);
13. Repeated steps 11 and 12 with Firefox in safe-mode;
14. Repeated steps 11 and 12 with Firefox in normal-mode with a new profile;
The observed link-opening behaviour:
- Internet shortcuts (i.e., actual shortcut files on, say, the Desktop) open in Firefox without issue whether or not Firefox is already running. When this approach is taken, no additional firefox.exe processes are created. The process does not have any command-line parameters per Task Manager;
- Links clicked in Thunderbird open correctly if Firefox is not running: one new firefox.exe process is created, I get a new Firefox window and the link loads correctly. The firefox.exe process does not have any command-line parameters per Task Manager;
- Links clicked in Thunderbird yield the "Firefox is already running, but is not responding" message if Firefox is already running. In this case, I see a second firefox.exe process created. Per Task Manager, the new process has the command-line arguments '-osint -url "FOO"' where FOO is the URL I clicked.
From these observations I believe that the link hand-off behaviour is broken. I use a single profile using the as-installed shortcuts.

Update: Updated to 33.1, still broken.

Under Tools > Options > Advanced look to see if the "check if Firefox is default browser on startup" Check this and then restart FF. If it isn't the default it should ask if you want to make it the default. Choose yes and it should open when clicking links again.

Using v9.0.1. When I launch I get message that already running (2)-why?

+ recently often get Firefox messages telling me that I have high memory usage.
Think I have the current release. (Ditched Avast antivirus because it was incompatible w new version and bought Norton to be able to update Firefox.) When I launch Firefox I don't see it running but get a (2) message when I put my mouse-pointer over the icon on my Windows quick launch bar at bottom left of screen. Can you help me? Thanks, Suzanne

Recovery from External HD that was Internal

I need some help.
I had a system with XP Media Center on it,, and unfortunately did not have my Firefox settings backed up.
The system crashed. I took the hard drive out of it, bought an external HD Case to mount it, and it does appear to be not damaged and working properly.
I have connected this drive via USB to a Win 7 system in the hopes of being able to find my Firefox settings and recover them. Though I am not able to find the folder that they are stored in. FYI, the OS is still installed on this HD. The only change with this HD is that it is not physically mounted in a system. Can you please assist me in regards to this?

To Access your Firefox information, you'll need to navigate to the Firefox profile folder. You can read [[Recovering important data from an old profile]] to find out how to find that folder on your old hard drive and what to copy.

How do I import ( copy) iPhotos from External Drive that contains the iPhoto library photos.

My old hard drive was failing and with the help of an Apple Consultant, I made a new library ( on external hard drive) and copied all the photo files off the iMac's internal drive to the external drive. Then the iphoto library was deleted from the hard drive and the internal hard drive was replaced.
Photo Storage is the name of the external drive as it is designated for photos only. Lightroom recognises the drive but does not see any of the photos. It says no photos available? Is there something I am missing.

Import is just a word for copying photos from the phone to a computer and not that different than what I do in Windows -- although I haven't compared the speed on a large number of photos. If you are importing and using iPhoto, you might try doing it with Image Capture which will allow you to copy them directly to an external drive. It may be faster than doing it to iPhoto but I haven't compared the speed. Instructions from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 are shown below.
Connect the iOS device to the computer.
If Image Capture does not open automatically, you can navigate to your Applications folder and open Image Capture from there.
Choose the location to which you'd like to import pictures.
Click Options.
Click the Options tab if it isn't already selected.
Enable the option "Delete items from camera after downloading".
Note: Deleting photos after importing helps to reduce Camera Roll size, and it improves backup and restore times. You may choose Keep Photos if you wish to import the photos to additional computers.
Click OK.
Click Download All.

Best way to import from external drive that I'm loading LPs on

I'm transferring many LP's to an external hard drive as MP3 in a LP folder.
#1 - What's the best way to import into iTunes and still keep my original file where it is as well as have a copy in iTunes? Would I just import each song individually or could I add folder? I do have the setting checked for copying song to itunes. Just not sure if I should import or add?
#2 - Is there a way to import into iTunes as AAC or do I have to import original MP3 and then convert to AAC? When I do this and try to delete the MPEG-3 songs from iTunes.. I'm somehow also deleting my original MP3 file that's in the LP folder. I believe this pertains to what I'm doing in question #1

None of the above.
There's no importing involved. All you do is open the v6 Library with 09. It will then update the Library, preserving all your work. As always, back up first.
To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network, Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
Then launch iPhoto. That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.

1) Go into SE80, > Enter the name of the program, and press 'Enter'.
2) You will see a folder called 'Transactions' appearing in the object list on the bottom left.
3) Open the folder, and you'll find T.code of that program.

How do you use the windows User32.dll Library functions to read variables from other applications that are running

I am trying to read a text box from a programme running at the same time as my Labview application using calls to the Windows
User32.dll. I believe I need to find the window handle for the 'form' containing this text string and use this together with
various other defined input variables to access the sting.
I have no experience of using this 'Call Library Function Node', but have an understanding of the 'C' programming language. Does anyone have
example Labview code showing how this might be done.

If you're trying to access information that's being displayed in the window of another application and that application has no ActiveX interface, then yes, Windows calls can be used. There's a very good example on calling DLLs that ship with LabVIEW. Open the Example Finder (Help->Find Examples) and switch to the Search tab. Enter "Call" in the search box and open the VI "Call DLL". Run the VI, select any of the examples, and click the "Open Example VI..." button. That shows you how to call a DLL.
Now, given that you have no experience in calling DLLs, have only an "understanding" of C (which to me means you have never written something like a DLL), and don't seem to know that much about what Windows functions you may need, you're going to find this route pretty difficult, especially since you have to deal with Windows API calls, which are not always that easy to do from LabVIEW.
Let me propose an alternate solution. Go over to http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/ and download AutoIt. This is an automation tool that allows you to automate just about anything you want. It has an ActiveX interface that you can call from LabVIEW. I've attached an example VI that shows you how to use it to get the value of a text box from one of the tabs in the computer "System Properties" control panel applet.

How do I use home sharing for music and apps from different devices that already have Apple IDs? We have music from CDs and iTunes.

Do you have a computer. You can't share music or apps from one mobile device to another. To share photos you need to use photo stream shared albums.

Is it possible to delete Mac OS 9 from my Mac that's running Mac OS X?

I never use Classic (OS 9) anymore. I would like to delete all OS 9 related files to free up space on my hard disk. But when I try to delete the System Folder, I get an error message that says "System Folder is required by the System". Is there any way to delete the System Folder?

There must be some classic application using the OS 9 system.
Do a Restart & then Trash the System Folder.
If that doesn't work, startup from your OS X system CD/DVD & then Trash the System Folder.
