Tree node with (...)

i construct a tree with model,but the node do not display fully. i.e: node info is "node information", but it display "node infoma...".
i have a Node class that log node property. In this class i override toString method, and return node's name (in order to log treepath that not change).
model extends treemodel, thr root is Arraylist and its elments are Node object.
i have renderer (in order to display node information that may be change) extends defaulttreecellrenderer,and override getTreeCellRendererComponent method, the code is following:

  • WD ABAP: Recursion Nodes that Repeat Tree Nodes with Embedded Tables ???

    At Rich H's suggestion, I'm posting this here as well as in the blogs.
    Suppose you've got a tree context with a node that has a table embedded under it. (For example, the TREE_WITH_TABLE view of WDR_TEST_EVNT has this kind of context substructure.) Call this node "NODE_WITH_TABLE."
    You now define a recursion node underneath "NODE_WITH_TABLE" and specify "NODE_WITH_TABLE" as the repeated node for this recursion node. Call this recurion node "RECURSION_NODE".
    Lo and behold - the table fills properly when you're on any instance of "NODE_WITH_TABLE", but not when you're on an instance of "RECURSION_NODE".
    I'm hoping that:
    a) I'm doing something wrong;
    OR
    b) There's an easy work-around/alternative I'm not seeing
    OR
    c) SAP will give recursion nodes enough memory to carry any table(s) embedded in the nodes they're repeating.
    'Cause I sure don't want to have to define "n" levels of tree-nodes that have different copies of the same table(s) embedded in them.

    Maybe you might want to back out your weblog as it is not really a place to ask these types of questions.  Think of it this way,  if you are allowed to do this type of weblog,  what is stopping any other weblogger.  Hence the weblogs would just be another forum, which I don't think anyone wants.

    If you have metalink access you should check Note:331369.1
    This bug has been around for the 10g R2 10.1.2.0.2 base release, which was propagated from Installing Patch 9.0.4.2 or from 10g R1 base release. You need to apply the latest patch or a one-off fix Patch 4509399

  • How to create a new tree node with the initial edit function

    Hi all,
    I would like to mimic the Windows system when the user creates a new node. The newly created node should be in the edit mode, i.e.it should
    be highlighted and the cursor should be appear at the end of
    the newly created node name.
    I have the folloing code after I create the new node and set its selection:
    TreePath selectionPath = getTree().getSelectionPath();
    tree.startEditingAtPath(selectionPath);
    However, this only partially does what I want, the cursor does not appear at the end of the node's name and I am not sure how to select the text name of the new node.
    I hope someone can help.

    I haven't tried myself but my guess is that you need to customize your tree cell editor for putting
    cursor at specific position, etc.

  • Useful Code of the Day:  Hideable Tree Nodes

    Someone posted about how they could selectively hide tree nodes, and I already had this AbstractTreeModel class (which does some things DefaultTreeModel does and some it doesn't) and a concrete subclass for TreeNode objects, so I was thinking how one could do hideable nodes. So I came up with this solution.
    There's 4 classes here:
    - AbstractTreeModel is the base for the concrete TreeNodeTreeModel
    - TreeNodeTreeModel extends AbstractTreeModel to support TreeNodes (DefautlMutableTreeNode, etc.)
    - HideableMutableTreeNode which is a DefautlMutableTreeNode subclass which has a visible field (with is/set methods, of course).
    - HideableTreeModel is the hideable model which is a subclass of TreeNodeTreeModel.
    A HideableMutableTreeNode can be set invisible directly, but the tree still needs to be notified to update. So it's best to use the methods in HideableTreeModel which set a node's visibility which notify the tree of changes accordingly. Methods are also provided to check a full path's visibility or ensure a node including all parent nodes are visible.
    A HideableTreeModel can take any TreeNode class, it doesn't have to be all HideableMutableTreeNodes, but only HideableMutableTreeNodes can be made invisible, of course. Any other TreeNode type would just be considered visible.
    Hiding nodes works basically by making the tree think there's less nodes then there are. And to do this, the node counts and child index search just works by looping thru the parent's children. This has potential perfomance drawbacks of course, since one has to loop thru the node's children to get nodes every time. This could be alleviated by not supporting non-hideable nodes changing the internal maintenance of HideableMutableTreeNode contents. But I'll leave that to whoever really needs it. It shouldn't be a problem if there are are a relatively small set of child nodes in any given parent.
    Also, note that the root node in the model cannot be made invisible, cuz it'd be redundant since JTree can be set to hide the root node.

    I'm not trying to show anyone up here, but having just built a tree model for displaying an XML document in a tree, I thought this seemed like a neat exercise.
    I implemented this very differently from the @OP. I only have one class, HiddenNodeTreeModel. All the hidden node data is stored in the model itself in my class. The advantage of what I've created is it will work with any TreeModel. The disadvantage is that I think it's not going to be very scalable - the additional computing to get the number of child nodes and to adjust indexes is heavy. So if you need a scalable solution definitely don't use this.

  • Custom tree node and DefaultTreeModel

    Hello,
    I would like to know if it's possible to use the following custom tree node with the DefaultTreeModel:

    }I have tried it and it's not working but I think in theory it should work. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
    The problem is that the tree won't display or insert the custom node when the insertNodeAt(...) method of
    the DefaultTreeModel is called. I also tried using a custom tree listener and calling the .reload() method directly.
    Any help will be very appreciated.

  • JTreeTable problem editing tree node

    Iam using the swing JTreeTable component and facing a problem. Iam displaying hierarchical data in the JTreeTable. Now I would like to provide the facility to edit a tree node. I have a TreeSelectionListener registered on the tree and a TreeModelListener registered on the DefaultTreeModel. Wheneve, I start editing a node by double clicking it the valueChanged method is called but I do not see the new value the user types in this method. I have another method setValueAt which is where I can see the new value the user has entered.
    I can set this new value to the treenode using
        node.setUserObject(newValue);However, if I do this, the next time I try to edit the same node, the editor component is painted over the tree node thus displaying an empty textfield that occupies the entire cell.
    How can I make the editor appear above the tree node with the contents loaded in it always.
    Any help is appreciated.

    You bind a mouselistener to the tree, so it has to be handled there.
    When clicking once (method should be "mouseReleased" or something, treenodes name (toString) should be .setText("");

  • How to hide a node with no children in ADF Tree after Search

    I have a tree component with Search in my screen.

    Search is performing on the childnodes, once the search is done I am expanding all the nodes and displaying only the filtered records.

  • Help with building a JTree using tree node and node renderers

    I am having a few problems with JTree's. basically I want to build JTree from a web spider. The webspide searches a website checking links and stores the current url that is being processed as a string in the variable msg. I wan to use this variable to build a JTree in a new class and then add it to my GUI. I have created a tree node class and a renderer node class, these classes are built fine. can someone point me in the direction for actually using these to build my tree in a seperate class and then displaying it in a GUI class?

    I beleive that this line of code is required:
    treeText.addObject(msgInfo);
    I have placed it where the action events start the spider, but i keep getting this error:
    cannot resolve symbol
    symbol : method addObject (java.lang.String)
    location: class javax.swing.JTextArea
    treeText.addObject(msgInfo);
    Also the jtree is not showing the window that I want it to and I am not too sure why. could you have a look to see why? i think it needs a fresh pair of eyes.

  • WHEN-TREE-NODE-EXPANDED not fire with keyboard in FORMS 10G

    I have a Hierarchical Tree. When i click in any node with mouse, works fine.
    When i use the key rigth and left of the keyboard, the tree expanded, but not fire the WHEN-TREE-NODE-EXPANDED.
    In FORMS 6i works fine.

    Hi ABAP Gurus,
    I am trying to create tree control with nodes in ALV. I have referred to standard BCALV_TREE* programs but new to OO programming. Not sure as to how I can display my internal table data than the SFLIGHT information in these programs. Can you please let me know how this can be done or if I can use any ALV function modules for the node display.

  • ADF 10.1.3.0.4: tree leaf with no child nodes still displays folder icon?

    I was reading through Frank Nimphius's Blog and found the entry entitled "ADF Faces: Building a hierarchical tree from recursive tables - October 05, 2006" and found a tree example in which a tree leaf with no child nodes do not display the folder icon.
    I've followed the instructions listed with adf:tree, CoreTree and ChildPropertyTreeModel, but my tree leaves with no child nodes still displays the folder icon.
    How do I remove this icon when the node is a leaf with no children?
