Trees Are Gone !

I have been using the trees under Fill> Scripted Patterns and suddenly they are gone. I've looked everywhere. Any ideas?

Have you recently upgraded to Ps 2014.2.1? If so, then look in the Filter>Render menu for the Tree scripted patterns.

We have similar courses around here - much more traditional, like Phoenix CC, where the old Phoenix Open used to be played, in the pre-TV days - everything, regardless of time-o-year is green, and fairly lush. However, there are probably more "desert target courses," where the area surrounding the fairways, the teeing area and the greens, are left natural (obviously High Sonoran Desert here). On those, a shot into the rough is really "into the rocky desert," and many such courses have a local rule - one stroke penalty and drop on the edge of the nearest fairway. I also carry my "desert 7-iron," for shots that CAN be played from the desert, in hopes that I can save that one stroke penalty - sometimes that works, but sometimes it does not... My regular partner lets me carry 15 clubs - the regulation 14, plus the desert 7. However, I must loan it to him, should it be needed. Works for me.
One other "feature," that we see around these parts is the dead grass ring around many bunkers. The grass is allowed to initially grow, then is killed, making it easier for a ball in that area to fall INTO the bunker, and any sand shot, that does not clear that ring, will come right back into the bunker. This treatment is intensified just before a tournament, but exists, at some level, for most of the season.
When people see such a course on TV for the first time, they puzzle over what they are looking at.
Also, the trees around such courses are not what most folk think of, when imagining a golf course. I remember some folk from the US Mid-west complaining that the TCP Scottsdale course (WM Phoenix Open) was hokey and Disneyesque, since they cut down all the trees, and planted stupid cactus everywhere. Well, what they missed was that the cactus are native, and while a few had been moved to allow for the fairways, they were replaneded in as natural a location, as possible - the trees are either palo verde, or mesquite, and are also natural. The course basically used the natural contours of the desert, and the natural growth. Odd to many eyes.
Now what angers me is that there is one tree on our big desert hole, #7, and I always seem to be behind that - I mean ONE TREE! Sort of like Rod's Big Green Frog.

When I login, all of my desktop items are gone, the "Finder" icon is bouncing and a message asking to restore windows is blinking but unresponsive. I can't exit out of it. What do I do? I've tried force quitting, and it doesn't get rid of it.

Additional Information
OS X automatically relaunches the Finder when it is quit. If the Finder is unresponsive, use Force Quit to relaunch it. Select Finder in the Force Quit Window or Dock, then click Relaunch.

You can restore from your iTune or iCloud backup if you have one.

IF you do find a backup that has your contacts; I'd /highly/ recommand turning off your wifi network after the restore is finished because if the issue is with your iCloud your contacts may merge back with her's.
With iCloud you DO NOT want to share the account; bad things happen Evil evil thigns...
But in all seriousness; if two devices have the same iCloud; iCloud is told to merge and sync infomation between hte two and can't tell that it doesn't belong to the same person

Pictures are gone after iOS 8 update

After the iOS 8 update, I went to my picture gallery and all but 43 of my pictures are gone. I've gone to Photos --> Collections and still, only those 43 images are there. Where did my pictures go and how do I get them back?

You should be storing everything on your computer. Just sync them to the iPhone.

These memos are my life and I always have the palm desktop app open. I rebooted last night because of an update for another program and now all the memos are GONE!
How do I get them back? When I upgrade to the new version of hot sync a couple of months ago all of it synced except for about 20% of the memos. Now all have disappeared!

OK, this is how inexperienced I am with my Palm Tx though I've had it for years now ....... sorry.
The only thing I've changed is to update the Palm Desktop when I got a pop-up telling me to. Everything was fine before that. I updated the desktop and tried to sync. Everything synced except for about 15% of the memos. I tried to resync several times all with the same outcome. The issue was never resolve because the desktop was intact ...... the files were missing on the Tx. I stopped syncing since the desktop appeared stable and I'm in the process of transitioning everything over to my Droid Charge. Nothing had been done.
Last sync was back in March.
The PC was rebooted because of an date to another program. I opened the Palm Desktop and all my memos were gone!
I'm desparate .......... to the extreme. Would a system restore bring back the files?
I just downloaded the NVBackup and will attempt to get that going.

You only have 30 days to return an iPhone for full refund. However, you are under warranty, so if you think this is a defect or such, take it into an Apple Store and show them and ask them about it. If the screen is faulty, they will replace it.

Certain master images are gone: how do I use my backup vault to restore?

Images stored in a folder (the little blue book icon) named Dogs is suddenly empty. Apparently the Masters are gone too. I have searched through the Library, in the original project, by date. They are gone.
(I think I know how I lost them — by renaming other images accidently keyworded as Dogs.)
But the issue is: how do I get back these images?
I have the Library backed up to a Vault on a dedicated external FW hard drive. I have read the posts about restoring the library, but am terrified to make a misstep, with all my images at risk.
I would very deeply appreciate advice on how to proceed — that is, use the vault to restore the lost images.

Choose File>Vault>Restore Library. Aperture will show you an alert that your old library will be renamed. If this is OK click restore. After the restoration is complete Aperture will prompt you to relaunch Aperture. After relaunch you'll see another dialogue box. If everything is OK click Recover Now. The next feedback you'll get is Recovery Complete. Click OK and you're done.

Newly installed GB 11 - LOOPS ARE GONE and won't download updates

i just installed GB 11 and tried to open files. virtually all my loops are grayed out. "The software instrument or loop is not currently installed on your computer - would you like to install the complete set of loops on your computer?" i click "Download Now". it tells me to check software update but nothing shows up in soft. update. i've tried restarting and opening other files but my loops are gone.
did i just lose all my loops?

Right on, Pbassjams. my sentiments exactly! that's the same response they told me at the apple store. and you go home and load the disc and say to yourself: "What the **** are they talking about? there are no loop options". i did find out however that you can go into your HD library folder - then open Audio folder and then you'll see apple loops. you can actually select all the loops in there and manually DRAG and DROP them into your loops section in GB. this may solve the problem or you could have a new annoying problem. you'll have each loop listed twice. if that's the case, here's what another apple user wrote in discussions:
This sounds like a problem with several generations of GB content mixed in your loops folder.
Apple at one point in time changed the loops from .aif to .caf. So you definitively need only one version of each loop, it'll save you a lot of disk space to delete the duplicates. So I would proceed like this:
• Clean up your loops in the Finder by deleting the .aif versions of loops that you also have as .caf. (Sort the folder by kind, that should separate them.)
• Delete the Loops Index folder completely.
• Start up GB, it'll tell you you have no loops.
• Drag your purged Loops folder into the Loop Browser window, GB will now create a new Loops index that will only contain the ones that are actually in that folder.

You most likely synced your iPod to a different iTunes then you previously synced it with. You won't be able to get all of your music back unfortunately unless you had it backed up.

How to get the values of drop downs, which are gonna create at run time.

As per my design requirement, I have to create drop downs in an ADF display table.
The no# of rows of the table are gonna decide the no# of the drop downs. User can select the values from drop downs. My issue is, how can I capture the selected values of those drop downs as those are gonna created run time.

ohh ,ok ,then as u said that u r storing twenty values ,thats y i aksed earlier ,are these form values part of tbale ,or as u said 20 values are there ,for these u r creating 20 form values ???.
My suggestion would be ,u do four calculation and put all your results in a hashmap ,and keep this hash map in to sesion ,using the following method
pageContext.putTransactionTransientValue("HashMapName",myHashMap);
and inside the PFR method when u want to display these values ,u can loop through your hashmap and can display these values.

I also check my usage on my phone and it shows that i have about 7.0 GB pictures!!! BUT my photos is empty! I want my picture back on my phone any solution anyone?

I just called the guy who changed my LCD and asked him what happend, he said there were no pictures on your phone when you gave it to me! i know he is lying tho!
My apple warranty is over and I have to pay them to get some help over the phone!

I upgraded my 3rd generation ipad to ios 6.0.1 and now am experiencing various issues. Neither Pages or Numbers will open. I just see a gray screen that says Pages or Numbers at the top and all of my documents are gone.

1- Neither Pages or Numbers will open. I just see a gray screen that says Pages or Numbers at the top and all of my documents are gone. The icon that allows me to create a new document also does not appear. I went to icloud.com to see whether my documents still existed, which brings me to the 2nd problem.
2- It appears that all of my Pages documents are still on icloud, but all of my Numbers documents are gone. There were only about 10, but I access 2 of them nearly every day, so this is a big issue for me.
I went into Settings and all of the icloud information is correct and it "Documents & Data" is on. When I look at the storage, I see the Pages documents but not the Numbers ones. The next thing I did was turn my ipad off and back on, but this didn't fix anything. Since my Pages documents are still on icloud, I then tried to delete the Pages app from the ipad so that I could reinstall it, which resulted in the 3rd problem.
3- I cannot delete any apps. I can get all of the icons to shake and the small x IS available, but everything freezes when I click it. I can't do anything at that point except reset the ipad or wait until it eventually restarts itself. I've tried this with Pages as well as multiple other apps, all with the same result. I've also tried downloading a new app (which worked fine) and then deleting that one, but I got the same result.
3a- A small related issue to this that I am far less concerned about is that when the ipad restarts itself, it comes back on and the screen is really dark and I can barely make out what appears on the screen. If I enter my password right away, it stays that way until I go into Settings - Brightness & Wallpaper and touch the brightness setting (although I'm not actually changing the setting because it already shows that the brightness is turned up a little over halfway). If I don't enter my password right away and let it go completely dark, then click the home button, the brightness is fine.
So now I'm stuck. My guess is that I will need to restore it, but wanted to check before I take that step. Unfortunately, my laptop is on its deathbed so I haven't been synching my ipad to it and I fear my Numbers documents are gone forever. I'd like to try everything I can to fix these issues before doing the restore in hopes that I can get the Numbers documents back.
Any suggestions for any or all of these problems?

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.
