Hi Venkat
Thanks for reply. My problem isn't filter value selection controlled by rea mode, it's just the display of the filter value texts (descriptions) in the F$ window for selected items. For me it seems, that it is not to change, default is set. I.e. the longest text available is displayed (according to property in RSD1) without any dependence on required texts (short, medium, ling), as mentioned in my example.
Regards
Joe

I try to customize my firefox as much as possible and with that being said I am stuck trying to figure out if there is a way to take a new folder in the bookmark menu and take off the icon of the folder to the left of the folder and then on the right there is a little sideways triangle that basically opens up to another folder or link within.
Curious if I can take that out as I already know there is folders/links in there it would just look better.
If there is a way to take out the sideways triangle will it still work the same way just without the arrow? I have subfolders in there just do not see the point in having a triangle there to tell me.
Enclosing a picture if do not understand what I mean.
Not the toolbar, When you go to file, edit, view, history, bookmarks then drop that down all your folders are within that. Trying to remove the icon and right sideways arrow when you make new folders. The icon on left of a pic of a folder and then to the right the >.
See pic I have spent hours on google and forums seems no one has asked this question before...Also posted here:

I sought help among the available articles. I was informed that right clicking on a vacant part of the toolbar would give me the option to delete or hide it. Doesn't seem to work with this one. In fact, right clicking anywhere on this row isn't working. If I right click the "startnow" icon, it takes me to that page. I really don't want this toolbar, as it wastes my desk space. How do I get rid of it?
Do you see that toolbar in View > Toolbars or Firefox > Options if the menu bar is hidden?
Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB). -
Lost start menu icons and not listed in right click open with option +more.
Weird. I need help. Quicktime 7.3.0.70 only--Start menu lost it's icons in the quicktime folder. When right clicking video files, the "open with" option no longer displays quicktime as a program. And lastly, open an avi file or even mpg and the program stops responding without even getting to play the file. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times but can't seem to fix these issues. Can anyone help? Thanks. This just seemed to happen out of the blue.
Message was edited by: sallemI also have lost the icons for Quicktime in my start menu under Windows XP. The icons actually work when you do click them but the icons are not loaded. Everything functions fine and it's the newest version of Quicktime installed. I also have the newest version of iTunes installed. I ended up manually adding my own icons on the start menu as I've uninstalled and reinstalled Quicktime several times to no avail and even attempted to flush the windows icon cache. No go. This just started happening recently.
It's not happening on my WinXP Pro laptop however, although I've yet to upgrade to the latest version of iTunes+Quicktime.
*Right-Click Open With Menu still functions properly and the icon image is appearing correctly in that menu.

I have read many similar questions on the forum but I see no best ways . I use DAQ card .LabVIEW 8.0, to measure two signals at the same time ( ex: intensity mA (autorange),temperature:0-400oC) and I want to plot them on the same graph. I used stack plots without problems, but it doesnot satisfy me . Help me.

doulbe axis1.JPG 56 KBOk, I did all as you told me. I got the graph that I want to create. I got two curve on the same graph but the scale is not right. Only on one Y axis the scale is correct, the other is not . ( I want to use one Y axis : 0 to 400, the other :0-10 (or autoscaleY)). The attached screen shot shows that. It is no problem when I use stack plot. Thanks.

My screen from the moment it starts any program appears to be shaded from left to right. The left hand side of the display appears to be darker than the right half of the screen. Can someone please advise what I can do to alter this. Have I pressed something I shouldn,t have? Or is there a problem with my display?
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks.Does not sound too healthy! You should take it to the Genius bar in the Apple store. May need the hardware looked at...
It's most probably a backlight issue. Take some piccys of it while it isnt working now!! -
Firefox is very slow opening. Web pages load slowly. When I go to images in a Google search, the pictures take a long time to load, and when I click on an image, then the back arrow, the loading time for the previous page is very slow. When I print a Google map, it is small, rather than full-page. In Google Chrome or Safari, the same actions product immediate results. I cannot get Google desktop to work.
This sounds like a network problem, since it goes away when you connect through a different network. You'll need to talk to your university's IT department about this.

Left- and right arrow key out of order
Hi,
I'm afraid to need your help again. My left and right arrow keys doesn't work as they're supposed to. While can neither navigate through my desktop icons nor the buttons in any dialog nor the text I'm just writing. The cursor stops blinking as soon as I press one of these keys so the system recognizes the key press but the cursor doesn't move. Showkey returns the keycodes 105 left and 106 for the right arrow key.
While logging in with LXDM im able to navigate back and foth while entering my password as well as the keys work properly in tty. It seems to be only LXDE, where the keys are not working.
Furthermore my function keys like mute, volume up and down and so on aren't working too. I don't know if both errors are relatet to another.
Maybe anyone has an idea what I might do to fix this?ondoho wrote:

I think I use lxdm to log in. As soon as I'm logged in, I'm using lxde. Ist this what you have to know?
no, you have to know it.
i meant: when you login with lxdm, do you have a choice between lxde-session and openbox-session (or sth similar) because there's a difference how openbox gets started and which config files are parsed.
It's an lxde-session. And LXDE uses openbox-lxde as displaymanager.

ondoho wrote:once you isolate the proper rc.xml, you can check it for typos that might cause this. they are not always reported back as errors.
The part of the rc.xml I posted beforehand is the only one in that file that is tagged with <keyboard> and there is no binding for the left or right arrow key. There are some in combination with the control or shift key but that shouldn't do anything regarding my problem.

Absolutely.
Steff435 wrote:What do you mean with "the text I'm just typing"? You can't move the text cursor in the textbox in your browser using the keys?
Yes, exactly.
Steff432 wrote:I don't use lxdm, but I guess that doesn't use the default Gtk text entry widget, while most Gtk-based browsers as far as I know do, so it might be related to Gtk in some way. Or do you use a Qt browser? Have you tried the keys in non-Gtk software?
I use firefox which is, as far as I know, Gtk-based. But I installed QupZilla and gabe it a try. Unfortunatelly the same error shows up there.
I don't know if I'm right but lxde should be gtk-based itself and running a non-Gtk software in gtk-based lxde would show up the same gtk-errors to, wouldn't it? So eventually I'd have to try a non-Gtk software in a non-Gtk desktop environment in order to check whether the error doesn't show up under non-gtk software?

Feature request: Utilize outer pixel on left and right of screen to allow gestures
I miss gestures especially moving laterally between apps. If I swipe from the left bezel onto the screen it would be nice to move to the next app to the left and same for the right.
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)Hi Guish,
I like that idea too. I know that the bezel isn't functional, but maybe they could do something with software. For example, maybe implement a 0 pixel recognition system from the side (the same way they do the swipe up for minimizing cards on TouchPad).
Please feel free to post this same feedback at http://www.hpwebos.com/feedback as well just to get some more recognition on it! -
I have popup adds showing up at the bottom of the screen to the left and sometimes to the right. I was hoping using Foxfire in private mode this would block these but it hasn't. This is a problem I can't seem to get rid of and my virus and add blocking software don't seem to get rid of the or block them??????
hello stovalldb, do you have any extension installed in firefox > addons > extensions that might be adware (toolbars, things you have never installed intentionally, etc.)?

How to send left and right of stereo sources to different targets?
Hi
Suppose I have an instrument track or audio track in stereo, and I want to send the left side of it to one bus and the right side to another bus, is there an easy way of doing this without creating two duplicate tracks (and panning one hard left and the other hard right)?
Similarly, suppose I have routed a track into a bus which contains an effect, a phaser for example, which is in stereo, and I want to put a delay on just the right and side but not on the other. Is there an easy way of doing this (without for example routing the output of the phaser bus to two separate busses and panning them hard left and right and then routing the right bus to another bus which contains the delay)?
Thanks if anybody has any suggestions, I'm playing around with this sort of stuff at the moment but its gettings too spaghetti. Am I being daft and the ability is there I just haven't found it in the manual?Well, I did just what you´re asking about the other day. In order to process a stereomix with MS technique, I needed to send the left channel to bus 1, the right to bus 2. So I turned off Universal Track Mode. This enabled me to route the output to Bus 1-2 instead of Output 1-2.
I believe this should work for you, too. It´s a bit fiddly, and you mustn´t forget to turn Universal Track Mode back on if you continue with another project. Otherwise things might get very complicated indeed.

We are recording in two languages, one in left and the other in right channel. However, in Adobe Premiere Pro we are not able to split the track when we take up for rought cut. Both the tracks are found mixed. Pl help. Since we need to maintian the split track to dubb into other languages.
You need to do this before adding the footage to the sequence:
Select the clip (or multiple clips) in the bin
Menu > Clip > Modify > Audio Channels (Shift G)
Change 'Number of Audio Tracks' to 2
Change 'Channel Format' to Mono
Dismiss the info message.
When you place the clip in a sequence it will now drop L and R into separate tracks (assuming your sequence allows that audio model). -
URGENT: button rollover animations and image fade ins?
Hello, I have a site where an image appears which has 6 words
on it. Each word will be a button where the following actions take
place:
on rollover a line draws through the button
an image fades in on the left and another on the right
when you click the button, a large window (not popup, prefer
within flash) appears with information, I guess an swf or mc would
work.
once you roll out the images fade out and the line draws in
other direction so it disappears
How can I code the buttons to do all this? I am using flash
8.
THanks!Ok so far so good. IF you mouse over super saturday you will
see what happens. Now, what is the code when I mouse out so those 2
things that appeared will disappear? Also, when you click super
saturday, you will see an swf that loads but it loads in between
other layers and all other buttons are active outside the swf. How
do I overlay it over everything then also have a close button on
this swf? here is the code for a button:
blu.onRollOver = function() {
blu._parent.attachMovie("link8","blu_mc",1,this.getNextHighestDepth(10000));
sat.onRelease = function() {
loadMovie("popup_saturday.swf", "popup");
and the site so far:

I just purchased a new LG Computer Monitor from Best Buy today and hooked it up to my PowerMac computer. Shortly after setting it up, the entire screen image started sporadically shifting left and right a few pixels. And then, at seemingly random times, it'll shut itself down, going into power save mode. I checked the cables to make sure they were secure and they seem to be. Could there be some sort of interference that's causing it? Or would it be the graphics card? My computer is only a couple years old. Please help!
Do you have another computer you can plug the monitor into to test?

I want to delete a group on my iChat list, but it doesn't go away when I right click and delete it. No ones in the group and I tried the plus button on the bottom left of the list and I can't find "edit groups"
WordPress is in a class of it's own. It began it's open source life as a blogging system but it has evolved into a powerful, feature-rich CMS (content management system). In short, if you elect to use WordPress on your domain, you might just as well use it for your entire web site.
To work with WordPress, you will need a firm understanding of HTML, CSS and how PHP includes work.
WP requires you to set-up a dynamic work environment (see links below)
Find a WP Theme you like that won't require much customizing on your part.
