Treo 680 & Ford Mondeo Sony Audio System

How can I tell the Treo 680 that the Sony Audio System can read my contact list without inserting a code?
I can bound the two systems but they disconnect. Hown can I make the connection always alive?
The process is: seek nearby diveces (on Treo), find the device; the car system generate a code to connect; insert the code; the connection is made (bound system in car system and see the headsets on Treo); then the headset symbol disappear on Treo and the system tell that the link is unavailable. I tried connect on "Trusted Devices"; see the headset but disappears again.
Humm.. probably I have to change the car...I don't want to change my Treo!!!
Help wanted.
Best Regards

I checked and did not see the Sony Audio System on our compatibility list. Is this system an after market upgrade? Here is our compatibility list link http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/treo/680/unlocked/solutions/article/41198_en.html

  • Treo 680 on Vista - Sync trouble when changing from Beta to new system! Help!

I have had my Treo 680 for about a year now. When I got it I found that the wonderful people at Palm never configured it to ruhn on Vista which had already been around for about 2 years at the time. Consequently, I never could use all the features ( certain media, etc.) because I had to run the Beta system. Additionally, the people at Palm told me when I called last year that the error messages I get after syncing were just something I'd have to get used to.
Fast forward to today. I go to the Palm site and I see that Beta has been replaced by a system that works with Vista. As I write this right now, I am in the process of syncing and it is stuck on " sycronizing Date Book". I have already tried reinstalling the new Vista version and re syncing again. What should I do to get this thing to work. For five cents, I'd go buy a new G phone from T Mobile and just switch over via importing data to Outlook which I currently don't use and the be done with Palm, ... but I can't even do that because I can't sync the Palm unit anymore with my PC!!!  Any help is appreciated.

DbFixIt is a database scan and repair program that can be found by doing a google seach and clicking on the first result that appears. It's made by Pimlico and after you down load the trial. You'll need to install it to the device. Unzip it and then double click the .prc file. You should get a message that it will be install during the next sync. Then you need to disable the Calendar conduit. Right click the hotsync icon just the the left of your computer clock. Goto settings, the Applications. Locate Datebook or Calendar (Or both) And uncheck them.
Then try to sync. This will install the program on the device if the sync completes. Locate the program on the 680 and open it. Once it opens click the top left hand corner and select Delete Calendar blobs. Once that's done you can run the Easy scan, it should tell you what calendar events are 'bad'. Then you can fix them manually. If you want to program to fix them automatically then you'll need to buy it.

  • IPod Nano + Sony personal audio system - how to get radio to play?

We got a Sony RDP-M7iPN personal audio system - that's a good thing.
But the iPod Nano won't play radio if the headphones aren't plugged in.  When it's docked on the Sony system, it won't play radio and there's no way to get a headphone jack plugged in (no room).
Is there something we're missing?  Or is there some adapter we need?  Any thoughts?

Go on to System Preferences and open the Bluetooth icon. Ensure that the SRS-X2 speaker is switched on and next to the Macbook; press down on the Bluetootch icon that is above "pairing" on the speaker and keep pressing it down until it beeps; your Macbook should now be able to find the speaker and you can click pair to pair the two together.

  • IPhone 4: Since iOS5 Bluetooth issues when connected to car hands free and audio system

    Hi @ all,
this discussion is either a kind of "warning" for those who hadn't yet updated to iOS 5 and a beg to Apple for fixing the issue:
Obviously the iOS 5 does have some problems with VW and Ford (germany) modells equipped with handsfree and audio systems (googling a little bit resulted in many, many complaints in german discussion forums about it). Unfortunatelly I'm facing these problems now too:
    Issue 1:
When the iPhone is connected to the audio-system of the car via Bluetooth, the Audio Slider on the iPhone doesn't work any longer. The only thing that it is capable to do is, if you slide it completely to the left, which results in switching the audio completely off.
    Issues 2 (much more annoying):
When the iPhone is connected to the handsfree system of the car, the ringtone volume is obviously set to "off" or at least "extreme low". This doesn't harm when using the phone with the handsfree since the ringtone still is coming from the cars loudspeakers. But as soon as you leave the car and the bluetooth connection is disconnected, the ringtone audio on the iPhone is STILL set to "off". Means: Each time, when you leave your car, you have to increase the ringtone volume manually.
Issue 1 is more a "not nice" or a "OK, it's first release" bug. But issue 2 would have been a reason for me to wait for upgrading to iOS 5, since I'm using my iPhone as a business tool and am quite frequent on travel.
To verify that I hadn't had a bug when upgrading for the first time my iPhone, I completely set my phone back to factory default, put it in maintenance mode and re-flashed it completely anew using iTunes. I only performed minimal setup to make sure, nothing else could cause this. The issue still remained, therefore it was clear to me, it is iOS 5. I never had any of these issues with iOS 3 und 4. A probable "workaround" would be a downgrade, but this doesn't work, as known, either.
@ Apple Engineering: Please fix this as soon as possible!
    Cheers,
    Frank

Good question... I haven't found a "reliable" way of sending constructive(!) Feedback to those at Apple who really care. I remember the beginning days of Mac OS X, when the reply-link was even on top of the dock.
Maybe I'm just not aware of working feedback channels, I only can hope that some of Apple's people with "influence" read statements like this...
    Cheers,
    Frank

  • Alarm is automatically set when I enter a new appointment i n the calendar Treo 680

When I enter a new appointment in the handheld an alarm is automatically set and I have to disable it manually.  This doesn't happen when I enter a new appointment on the computer.  I called Palm and they told me that the Treo 680 default mode was to automatically set the alarm and there was nothing I could do.  THIS IS VERY ANNOYING.  Anyway I can disable this so I am able to set alarms only when I want to?
Post relates to: Treo 600 (Sprint)

I've looked for a means of setting default lead times for calendar event alarms, and I've not found any. So, I don't think you can set a default of being off, either.
When I had my old Sony Clié NR70V with the Palm O/S, under the Calendar application's (they called it Date Book) Preferences, it had an "Alarm Preset" option. You could check or uncheck it, and set a number, 0-99, and select Minutes, Hours or Days.
Look under the "i" information Icon under the Calendar application's Preferences area. Note that it says: "When available, checking Alarm Presets sets an alarm for every new event, including....."
You use to be able to set the number of times and how often you would be reminded for alarmed events, too, as is indicated there.
Why have they crippled our O/S in several ways? Third party software sales? It doesn't make sense to me.
    We are going backwards.
    Good luck.
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

  • Bluetooth MIC too low Treo 680

Hello, searched the forums and didn't really find anything so here it goes. I have a Palm 680 Unlocked, Software is TREO680-1.04.ROW. I used a Motorola H555 bluetooth on my previous samsung phone and the mic audio was excellent, but on the on the Treo, it's very very low and not worth using. The "receive" is great, just that the mic or "transmit" audio is weak using the bluetooth. I'm going to update my software to 1.12, but I don't think that the update will help.
Is there any way to tweak this or could someone recommend me a good bluetooth headset to use and something within reason pricewise also.
Post relates to: Treo 680 (AT&T)

There is really no way to tweak the volume of the headset through the Treo.
Click on the following link to the kb.palm.com webpage for the article regarding Treo 680 compatibility with other Bluetooth devices.

The headset you have is not listed as compatible. You will need to get a headset that is on the compatibility list.

  • Ford mondeo and E51

I have just purchased a Ford Mondeo and it seems that I can have my phonebook available through the car's bluetooth system
this is confirmed on ford's website: http://www.ford-mobile-connectivity.com/overview
yet, there is no compatible .sis file on nokia's website
I have downloaded the two .sis file available, but my telephone refuses to install them
    any clue?

Something you could try here: http://europe.nokia.com/nokia/0,6771,42796,00.html
The E51 is not listed but there is a download for the E50, 61, 61i etc. so it might work?
Delete the pairings on the car and the phone, download the sis file to the phone memory (not memory card) and then re-connect to the car.

  • Bluetooth can't detect my audio system on my T440s with Windows 8.1

    Hi
I recently bought a T440s and I've tried since to connect it to my audio system (Sony CMT-SBT100) with Bluetooth, but it wouldn't detect it. I tried the latest drivers from Lenovo with System Update, I tried to install it manually (like explained on this thread: Bluetooth issues with Win8.1), I also tried to install the newest drivers from the Intel website but it doesn't seem to work with my card.
I can connect my phone to my laptop with Bluetooth, so it doesn't seem to come from the computer, and my phone connects perfectly with the sound system, so the issue doesn't come from there either. I searched on other forums and some people seem to say that the problem lies with Windows 8.1 which doesn't support A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) anymore, but I couldn't find it anywhere, and nobody seem to have found a solution yet.
Has anyone had this issue? Does anyone know if there is a fix?
    Thank you.

  • Help with home audio system

I'm looking to buy a home audio system mainly for listening to music and such in my home especially when i have parties. I was looking at the mtx tp1200 speakers because they are relativly cheap and i think a good quality speaker for the money but im not sure what kind of reciever i need to buy. The speakers are 150watts each so i was thinking maybe one of these two options:
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Yamaha+-+525W+5.1-Ch.+A/V+3D+Pass-Through+Home+Theater+Receiver/9785055....
    or
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Denon+-+550W+5.1-Ch.+3D+Pass+Through+A/V+Home+Theater+Receiver/2127161.p...
can someone help me out and give me some suggestions as to which would be better or if you know of another system that would be good. Thanks a lot

What devices are you connecting to the receiver? If you're connecting older video sources I would lean toward the Yamaha since it has component & composite video inputs. It also has more digital audio inputs. I can not remember off the top of my head if the Yamaha does HDMI upconversion. I do prefer Denon as a brand. I find them a lot more user friendly. If you're connecting everything via HDMI I would hands down take the Denon.
Honestly if all you're connecting is a pair of speakers and your only source is a CD player the Sony STR-DH100 or Insignia NSR-2001 will do the job. I've installed both receivers for home audio and theyvre done excellent. I actually installed the Insignia for a business not too long ago and it was powering four in-ceiling speakers pretty well.
I'd still lean toward the Denon though if you plan on upgrading to a surround sound.

  • ITouch Firmware Upgrade - Can no longer connect to car audio system

I just upgraded to 3.1.1 last night on my iTouch and can no loger plug in and connect to the audio system on my Infiniti G35x. The iTouch shows that it is connected by the audio system shows that it isn't. I've checked the cables, etc and all is fine and can connect another iPod without any issues. Thoughts...?

This is a known issue that started with the 3.0 release, and it affects several auto manufacturers. I was hoping that 3.1.1 would fix this for my Honda, but no dice. Something changed either in the communication protocol or timing, but whose fault it is seems to depend on how many Apple products you own
You can step back down to the 2.x firmware ... search around for "DFU mode", I did it once and may do it again now that 3.1.1 doesn't solve this.
