Hello All,
While working with Trex 7.0 ,we are getting this error when we ping the http://HOSTNAME:30005/TREXHttpServer/TrexIsapiExt.dll?cmd=PING
Error is
"<Return><ReturnCode>3499</ReturnCode><ErrorText>unknown request</ErrorText></Return>"
Have gone through these links
/message/1450094#1450094 [original link is broken]
/thread/277879 [original link is broken]
But since ,its standalone Trex and we havn't configured it with Portal or anything yet the links were of no much help.
Have followed the notes 1029783 ,1036078 and 499372 ,but no luck yet.
Have installed and reinstalled Trex couple of times ,but the issue is stil there.
Pls suggest.
Regards
Ajay
PS All the services are running fine in Trex with status green in Admin Tool.

Receiving Unknown requests for "Chat"
When I'm having a video iChat with a friend in my Buddy list, I'm getting pop-up windows for requests to iChat with people I do not know. How is this happening? Is there anyway to block it from happening?
Thanks!
PaulHi,
It happens.
There are things you can do to reduce this sort of thing.
Log in Here Sign In is top right
It does not matter if it is an @mac.com or MobileMe name either
Click the Liefstyles option and sort of your Privacy. You will get taken to a new Window or Tab depending on how your Browser is set up to work.
Go Back to the original AIM Settings page and click Privacy and adjust the settings there.
Basically Lifestyles is a sort of Profile that other people can find when searching AIM
The Privacy page also has an Option to stop people finding you with Searches.
Some people run "Bots" that try random names and can strike lucky.
Go to the iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts
In the Security tab set either Allow Buddy List Only or Allow Specific People (You have to set the List for the latter and that may take some time).
These will stop others from seeing you as being On Line.
You can also use Invisible as your Status in iChat 4 and 5
Hope that helps.

Subject: VSTS loadtest error while running Loadtest with Runsettings as No of test iterations , ERROR is : could not read result repository: unknown transaction

Hello All,
I am facing the following error while running a loadtest (when i choose the scenario to be executed for No of test iterations). But the same loadtest with the Run duration for X minutes is running fine without any issues.
Any suggestions on the issue i am facing
error is :
could not read result repository: unknown transaction id in results:
or
could not read result repository: unknown request id in results:
Thanks
SatishHi Kotapati,
>>Subject: VSTS loadtest error while running Loadtest with Runsettings as No of test iterations , ERROR is : could not read result repository: unknown transaction
id in results:
According to your description, you mean that when you run your load test using the Test Iterations way and then get the error message, am I right?
If yes, please you try to close the VS, and then open this VS again. Then clean your load test project/solution and then re-build it, run your load test again check this issue again.
In addition, I suggest you could try to create a new load test and then run it using Test Iterations way check if you get the issue for the specified load test or all load tests.
If possible, I suggest you could share me simple load test for us so that we will further help you.
You could upload your load test to OneDrive and then copy link here.

TREX - CRM Service request not showing
Hi everyone,
Per our understanding, TREX is linked with the button "Find related problems" on the 'More' button available on the Header tab.
We are using service request (SRV copied to ZCAS) to create incident. Our purpose is to be able to display the other service request (ZCAS) that would have some similarities (categorization, BP,...).
To do that, we have customized the following transaction in the spro: CRM/Transactions/Setting for Service Request/Define System proposals for related transactions
It is apparently working as, when cliking on the "Find Related Problems", we do have a window appearing with some similar cases.
However, it only shows the Problem (ITPR copied to ZTPR) that have a common categorization but not the other Service request (ZCAS) even if the customizing is the same (see screenshot below) and data are available.
Is that the good understanding of the TREX purpose?
How come the other service request are not shown?
Thank you very much for your help,
Regards,
AnaïsHi,
You can configure the system to propose the related transactions based on certain criteria. Configuration is based on the following path:
Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Transactions Settings for Service Requests Define System Proposals for Related Transactions .
Check your source Transaction (Service Request) and you target transaction (Problem), and flag how would you like to find the related transaction:
By similar:
- category
- Reference Objects
- Organisation Data
-Sold to party
If you also would like to find "Other Service Request", then you customizing should have:
-Source Transaction (Your Service Request),
-Target Transaction (your service Request),
In other words, make a new entry to determine "Other Service Requests" as related transactions, rather than ONLY other Problems as related transactions.

Can't display Georaster in Oracle Maps
Please help!
I'm trying to display a georaster in Oracle Maps, without success. The georasters in question display normally in PCI's Focus, eSpatial's iSMART, and MapBuilder preview, but nothing is display in Oracle Maps.
I have copied jai_codec.jar, jai_core.jar, jai_imageio-1.1.2.jar into
D:\APPSVR\j2ee\MapViewer\applications\MapViewer10131\web\WEB-INF\lib. I don't get any errors in mapviewer.log set to finest (appended to bottom of post).
I'm using AS 10.1.3.1.0, MapViewer 10.1.3.1 from patch 6453515, and the 10.1.0.3.1 enterprise database.
In Oracle Maps I have this code:
foi = new MVThemeBasedFOI('MOSAIC2','MOSAIC2');
this.mapview.addThemeBasedFOI(foi);
The georaster has spatial extents:
SQL> SELECT g.GEORASTER.spatialextent FROM MOSAICS g WHERE g.MOSAICID=2;
GEORASTER.SPATIALEXTENT(SDO_GTYPE, SDO_SRID, SDO_POINT(X, Y, Z), SDO_ELEM_INFO,
SDO_GEOMETRY(2003, 8307, NULL, SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY(1, 1003, 1), SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY(-83.5357, 31.4825, -83.5357, 31.472635, -83.5357, 31.462765, -83.52891, 31.462765, -83.522115, 31.462765, -83.522115, 31.472635, -83.522115, 31.4825, -83.52891, 31.4825, -83.5357, 31.4825))
The spatial extent is in USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA and is indexed:
SQL> select * from USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA where TABLE_NAME='MOSAICS';
TABLE_NAME
COLUMN_NAME
DIMINFO(SDO_DIMNAME, SDO_LB, SDO_UB, SDO_TOLERANCE)
SRID

GEORASTER.SPATIALEXTENT
SDO_DIM_ARRAY(SDO_DIM_ELEMENT('X', -180, 180, .0005), SDO_DIM_ELEMENT('Y', -90, 90, .0005))
8307
The georaster has metadata:

Nothing displays at any zoom level in Oracle Maps.
The georaster has pyramids generated by:
DECLARE
gr sdo_georaster;
BEGIN
SELECT georaster INTO gr

sdo_geor.deletePyramid(gr);
sdo_geor.generatePyramid(gr, 'rLevel=5, resampling=NN');
UPDATE MOSAICS SET georaster = gr WHERE MOSAICID = 2;
COMMIT;
END;
The georaster validates:
SQL> select sdo_geor.validateGeoraster(a.georaster),sdo_geor.schemaValidate(a.ge
oraster) from MOSAICS a where MOSAICID=2;
SDO_GEOR.VALIDATEGEORASTER(A.GEORASTER)

for GeoRaster themes you can define a specific pyramid level to render, or you can leave the pyramid level null on the theme definition, and in this case MapViewer calculates the best level to render. The second option is recommended as it avoids loading unnecessary data given the current display parameters. If you are seeing your image get blocked, most likely at this zoom level and up you have reached the highest pyramid level of the GeoRaster. Even in MapBuilder if you keep zoom in, you get a blocked image after reaching the highest resolution level.

OSB encounters error in Windows and is closed
Hi,
We are using OSB on a number of our servers but on one server the program/service keeps having errors and closing - we get the rather uninformative windows error "Oracle Secure Backup has encountered a problem and needs to close..." The server is an Oracle Application 10.1.2.0.2 application server using a 10.2.0.4 database for infrastructure. We are using Windows Server 2003 R2 and OSB 10.0.3. Can anyone advise what I can do to diagnose this issue - it only happens on this one server and it's the Production one. I've checked and can't find any evidence that there is any Commvault or Backup Exec software left on the server.
Thanks
Adam

Hello everybody,
I´m very new to mapviewer and to the oracle environment.
I would like to ask you how can i solve some problems detected on the log file of map viewer in order to write and run my first js code for oracle maps api.
I correcely installed Oracle 11g R2 on windows 7 ultimate 64bit using the 64bit version, togheter with weblogic server (the most updated jar version), created a single domain called gis-domain and deployed mapviewer1112 version.
I also create a new mvdemo/mvdemo@orcl and imported the schema for mvdemo files.
In fact I can connect to my localhost:7001 and see the tutorials and teh demo.
The problem arrives when I tried to write some code and test it in the web.
this is the commun error I got in a windows.
[MVGlobalVariables.getMapCacheConfig] MAPVIEWER-05511: Error occurred when sending request to MapViewer server. ([Exception... Hello buendia again here,
after having browsed few discussions and read few article finally my last log looks promising....
much besser.
In fact yet I made sure that there is a listener opened and I edited the config file as the blogspot mapviewer suggested, but still I got the same error massage on the screen when I try my simple html file:

"Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIXMLHttpRequest.send]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: http://localhost:7001/mapviewer/fsmc/jslib/oraclemaps.js :: anonymous :: line 1514" data: no])
and now after having tested my simple USA map and also in JDeveloper the "Geotags" tutorial I got a little bit stacked.
Can anyone suggest which kind of errors I´m making?
I´ll attached my log:

Edited by: user8677521 on Feb 1, 2011 3:46 PMHello,
actually now I can show mvdemo maps and my own mapbuilder generated maps.
But i´m not so sure if my script is correct now in fact instead to use
var baseURL = 'http://'+document.location.host+'/mapviewer/';
I go with
var baseURL = 'http://localhost:7001/mapviewer/';
with it set up all is working fine.
What do you think about it?
The only thing at the moment that concern me is the rendering of my generated maps.
In fact I wanted to use a unique shape file from where i created sub classes to show as a series of FOI. But when I want to see those subset on top of my base tyle mapviewer does not work at all get stacked with the clock running.
I tried to separate previously my file in 8 chunks (8 sub classes...8 FOI) and all works well.
Do you know a way to fix this endless waiting time!
Thanks a lot for your help

Tomcat/Cocoon/APEX PDF printing. Another issue
Hi All,
I am trying to implement my own custom report layout for the following simple Report query
select e.DEPTNO, d.DNAME, d.LOC, e.ENAME, e.JOB
from emp e, dept d
where e.deptno = d.deptno
The steps are the following
1. Create Report Query
2. Download XML file
3. Use Stylus Studio to create XSL-FO (XSLT 2.0) based on XML data downloaded in
previous step.
4. Go back to Report query and upload XSL-FO file to APEX (layout name 'MyLayout' is also specified).
Finish Report Query creation
5. Enter Report Query again, select report layout 'MyLayout' and select Test Report
The result is a failure with some java cocoon exception:
org.apache.cocoon.ProcessingException: Unknown request object encountered named template : null
Cocoon stacktrace[hide]
Exception in StreamGenerator.generate() context://fop_post/sitemap.xmap - 17:32 <map:serialize type="xml">
context://fop_post/sitemap.xmap - 13:33 <map:generate type="stream">
Unable to get transformer handler for cocoon://fop_post/xsl context://fop_post/sitemap.xmap - 38:37 <map:serialize type="fo2pdf">
context://fop_post/sitemap.xmap - 31:39 <map:transform>
context://fop_post/sitemap.xmap - 30:38 <map:generate>
context://sitemap.xmap - 1034:92 <map:mount>
It seems to me that XSL-FO that I created for this layout is rejected somehow by APEX and not passed to Coccon at all.
Guys, what am I doing wrong ? I will appreciate any help.
Regards,
VadimHi Mike,
My standard printing is working nicely. That's the custom reporting that I experience problems with.
After 8 hours of googling and 4 cups of coffee I figured out where the problem was. When you define XSL-FO file you need to 'escape' every occurence of % sign. For example you cannot define width= "100%" because APEX will pass this unchanged to Tomcat and Tomcat in turn will reject this but still passing NULL template pointer to Cocoon. Taking into consideration very poor logging capabilities one can spend hours trying to fugure out what is hapenning. APEX should be smart enough to escape characters or at least there should be a doco somewhere listing the rules you need to follow whem creating FO stylesheets.
I must admit that the whole APEX PDF printing using Tomcat/Cocoon (and probably Fop because that's what used by Cocoon behind the scene anyway) is unfortunately a hack. Reporting does not have to be that complex.
I would be extremely grateful if somebody can tell me what sort of XML tool is best suited to generate XSL-FO files that can be easily understood by APEX/Tomcat/Cocoon.

Vadim -

Invalid request when calling REST-webservice with UTL_HTTP.
Hello,
When i try to send some data to a REST-webservice i get as response "INVALID REQUEST"
I Think it is about the request-body that seems to be no UTF-8.
I tried to set the characterset with utl_http.set_body_charset(t_http_req, 'UTF-8').
But when i read the characterset with utl_http.get_body_charset(t_charset);, is still get "ISO-8859-1"
I am using: Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Product
Some help would realy be appreciated because i am out of options trying to get the code working..

I see that you're creating a HTTP/1.1 in PL/SQL - however, the web server response indicates a HTTP/1.0 call was received. Unusual. And could be part of the problem. -
Invalid request for HTTP request from Java
I've written the following code to retrieve data from HTTP url:
byte [] buffer = new byte[1024];
URLConnection conn = src.openConnection();
//conn.setRequestProperty("Range", "bytes=" + (start + completed) + "-" + end);
//System.out.println("bytes=" + (start + completed) + "-" + end);
System.out.println("Response: " + ((HttpURLConnection)conn).getResponseCode());
BufferedInputStream bin = new BufferedInputStream(conn.getInputStream());
byte [] data = new byte[1024];
int readLen;
manager.addConnected();
while((readLen = bin.read(data)) != -1 && canContinue) {
dest.seek(start+completed);
dest.write(data, 0, readLen);
completed += readLen;
System.out.println(readLen + "\t" + completed);
dest.close();
System.out.println("Read: " + readLen);
} catch(IOException e) {
manager.failConnection();
}However, the response code printed is -1 and the following content is written to the file (dest is a random access file, you can ignore the seek(), it is needed when I start multi-threading).

</BODY></HTML>Where does the problem lie? It failed for other URLs too. Can I establish more than one connection by invoking openURLConnection() on the same URL object?Ive run into this issue also. I need a way for a portlet to change to its maximized state for the purposes of user registration. Is there anyway this can be done? I know that sun jsp "Providers" which are shown on their example desktop, have some sort of maximized state that they can go into, but im not sure how to use this in a portlet.
There seems to be very inconsistent support between the proprietary sun provider api, and the portlet api. -
