TREX indexes only by file name
Hi people!
During few days I've been looking into the SDN to find a way to enable the TREX search and classification but only by file names, not by content too. When I launch a search, it returns to me both cases, matches with filename and matches with content of the text file.
Any idea how must be TREX or the index configured to only search by filename?
Thanks!

Hello oo:
Welcome to Apple discussions.
It would be a complete guess to postulate what happened.
I think I would do a couple of things:
Run permission repair
Run repair disk from your software install DVD.

If I use an app to remove duplicate pix does the app read content or only the file name such as IMG
If I use an app to remove duplicate pix does the app read content or only the file name such as IMG. I have some 2500 pix and the thought of trawling thru them toremove duplicates is mind numbing.
If the apps read the content then I am ok about that but if they only read the file name ... they maybe deleting stuff that isnt really a duplicateYou have to contact with the developer of the application. We do not know which app you are referring to and we do not know how that application works, but all apps of that type are supposed to delete duplicate files with the same format (like IMG, JPG...)

TREX unable to index only some files
Hi All!
I've got problem with my TREX (6.1 SP14 running on portal maschine SAP EP 6.0 SP14).
I've created some repositories, physically residing on that server's filesystem. It's an WebDAV repository and two CM (FSDB and DBFS).
Created an Index.
It indexes those repositories, and after that I see, that it can't index content of some files, while normally indexes others. It can't index *.doc, *.xls, *.pdf, *.ppt. It normally indexes *.txt, *.zip and folders.
In application log (in portal) I can see, that error code is 401 (6401), 'not authorized'.
If I open (for example) some *.doc file properties and try to access 'Settings'>'Classification', I recieve an error:
"<i>An error occurred during classificationError while classifying resource /FSDB_local/testdocFSDB.doc for taxonomy localfiles_tax.com.sapportals.wcm.WcmException: HTTP Status Code 401: Unauthorized (Errorcode 6401)</i>".
In IIS log there is:
"<i>2006-01-26 17:51:01 W3SVC1 10.2.1.67 PROPFIND /localfiles/EPtest/Logging.doc - 80 GMCS\MYUSER 10.x.x.x SAPCMWebDAVRepository1.1 $Version=0;+MYSAPSSO2=AjExMDAgABJwb3J0YWw6 207 0 0</i>"
In security log of windows system I can only see 'successful' events like :
"<i>Event Type: Success Audit
Event Source: Security
Event Category: Object Access
Event ID: 560

What could it be?
All permissions (on portal side and on filesystem) are the same for all files.
Thanks in advance for help and support!
Regards,
DKI have a similar issue with a web repository.
I have an alternative URL set in the URL generator and I also do not have a locked index_service user (password is also reset) but I am getting the same 401 (6401 TREX error) problems as others.
Anybody know how to solve this problem?
How does TREX authenticate with the portal using the index_service user? How does TREX know what credentials to use? If it is ticket based authentication, how is this ticket set in the TREX system?
Thanks,
Tom

Selecting a list of files and creating a list of only the file names?
Hopefully this is an easy question, one that I can't seem to figure out. I have a folder of photos and I would like to select all their file names and create a text list of just the file names. Every time I try I select the photos themselves and when pasted into my text document all of a sudden I have a lot of images. Any advice on how to do this? Thanks Jeff
You're part way there. Do this in TextEdit. Open a new document, CMDSHIFTT to put it into plain text format, paste in the contents of your photo folder, and be surprised when only the names get pasted and not the images. If you want them in alphabetical order, change the photo folders view to list and click on the name column before copying.

How to Use FULL TEXT Indexing Search on file names with brackets
I would like to use a FULL Text Seach query to find Files on a windows file system
The Problem is when the case comes up where there is a parentheses"()" in the file name. This example was created from a file copy being pasted in the same folder location as the original a few times.
Here is my code:
DECLARE
@SearchWord VARCHAR(50)
SET @SearchWord = '"KAP1556PP_P01(2).jpg"'
SELECT [FileName], [FilePath] FROM [dbo].[tblLegalPlan] WHERE CONTAINS(*, @SearchWord)
When I use Double quotes for the @Searchword I recieve no results.
SET
@SearchWord = '"KAP1556PP_P01(2).jpg"'
When I remove the Double Quotes for the @Searchword I recieve an error message:
SET
@SearchWord = 'KAP1556PP_P01(2).jpg'
Msg 7630, Level 15, State 2, Line 8
Syntax error near '(' in the full-text search condition 'KAP1556PP_P01(2).jpg'.
When I search for files containing TEXT up to the bracket i Get undesrired results obviously:
SET
@SearchWord = '"KAP1556PP_P01*"'
Results
FileName FilePath
KAP1556PP_P01(1).jpg BC\EPP\KAP
KAP1556PP_P01(2).jpg BC\EPP\KAP
I would like results where I can search for the file name and only one file is found matching the search word.
ThanksIs this a SQL Server Reporting question? You maybe better off posting this in a more relevant forum.

Finder is unable to locate photos by Title, only by file name
I was able to locate all my pictures by simply typing words from the title (in fact I did that yesterday morning), but now Finder is unable to locate those files unless I search for the file name (For example: DSC005873.jpg). Why did it stop working? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated as it's a pain in the butt when you've got over 2000 photos.

Can we make TREX index only for online content
Is it possible to have a meta tag online/offline through which we can tell Trex to search only to index the online content.
Hi swetha,
Trex will index whatever is under the datasource of the index.
This means you can't restrict it to <b>index</b> only a part of the sub-tree according to meta-data.
You can, however, include meta-data in your queries, and <b>search</b> for only "online" documents.
For that, you need to mark your predefined property (online/offline) as "Indexable".
Hope that helps,

Does sort the Phonto App in IOS 5 only according file name ?
After updating to IOS 5 on my iPad 1 I´m wondering about the new sorting order in my Photo App folders. Reading some hints on the Apple homepage, that the iPAd is sorting according the capture time I changed file date and capture date to the correct date. But no other sorting order was after syncing. Only alpabetical renaming of the pictures can view my photos on the iPad in the correct order.
Any help or the same problems ?
Many thanks for feedback

File name to be considered while Trex Search in CV04N,
Dear Sap Gurus,
I know TREX can search and list the documents using any Word or Characters inside the original file, but i have a requirement to search the document by there File Names,i tried giving File names in CV04N Trex search window, but it is not giving any results for me,
how can i make the trex search consider the file names also while searching in CV04N,
In SAP DMS is there a standard search functionality to search the documents by there File name?
Awaiting response
Thanks and regards
KumarThanks for your response,
i know we can search the documents through Classification or description details using CV04N, but
while searching any document the user wishes to fill up the details only at one field ie... the Trex search window in the CV04N screen, and he will not be interested in filling the values at the classification TAB and the description Tabs,
we need a single point of search through Trex search Window in CV04N, ie... when this Trex search field is filled appropriately,( like the classification value, Long text value,)
this values should search the documents with this Classification or Long text values in DIR and display the results,
i could not succeed in getting the trex search working with this values, is there any thing missing from DMS config????
FYI,
we have Portal Document search through DMS through DMS Connector, and in this Trex Search we could find the DMS documents using the file Names as well, but strangely the same thing is not possible through CV04N trex Search,
Thanks and regards

Problem using af:inputfile when only file name is given without path.URGENT
Hai Friends,
I am using input file type and <h:commandLink to upload a file. But when I type only the file name without the path like(hello.jpg) and try to submit then a javascript error occured "Access is denied". But my requirement is when i type without the path, that is only the file name i need to do some validations, like appending a global path with this file name and upload the file... the following is the code am having...
<af:form id="address" usesUpload="true" >
<af:inputFile id="id" value="#{BKb.batchFile}"/>
<h:commandLink action="#{.uploadFile}">
<h:outputText value="Upload" styleClass="buttonNoDecoration"/>
</h:commandLink>
<h:commandLink action="#{BKb.clearFile}">
</h:commandLink>
</af:form>
can u help me in this issue...
Thanks in advance,
CiyaI figured out the problem, and it was caused by JHeadstart. I placed a default display value in JHeadstart for the download link. This caused a default values bean to be created by jheadstart and that bean was what was causing my problem. The download link had a display value, but not a valid path. I removed the default value, re-generated the screen and it is totally fixed. I have pretty much decided that it is never a good idea to use a default value in Jheadstart.
Thanks for your help,

Spotlight does not give the option to show file names only
I have noticed that Spotlight doesn't have the button to allow for showing only the file name that contain the search word. I use this function a lot and not having it makes my searches much more tedious. Anyone know if there is some hidden way now in Lion to do this?
SimaWell, after digging for a while in help, I found it. You have to click "show all" after beginning the search, then click on the + sign to add criteria, then choose criteria from the pop-up menu labeled "Kind". I had to go further and click on "other" to find "filename", then it worked. It seems like a lot more work than it was before. I would think that putting a few buttons with some of the most common uses at the top of the window would be more convenient, or at least, providing an option to put those buttons there.

Help in regards to file names when importing to iTunes.
I recently bought an iPod and I'm dying to use it but at the moment, I can't due to an annoyance I have. I have all my mp3's neatly organized like this: Artist - Song Name.mp3
The thing is, that's only the file name. I never bothered to modify their ID tags. When I play the songs in iTunes, it sometimes looks like a mess but I didn't mind since I just simply looked for the songs I wanted via the Finder. As you know, to hear tracks on the iPod, you gotta copy your playlist from iTunes so that means that all those tracks with their gibberish names get passed to the iPod. As you can imagine, this is less than convenient as I won't obviously be able to recognize the darn songs. I am further stressed due to the huge amount of songs I have and since it wasn't until recently that I switched to Mac (best decision ever...), I have a huge library of songs that were never identified on my PC. All I did was basically typed in the artist name followed by the song title.
I browsed through some sites in hopes of finding something that would help me but I have to admit, I barely understand just what I am exactly looking for.
I would really appreciate your help in any way possible, I'd really like to enjoy my iPod as soon as possible.check if this app an help you: http://www.tuneupmedia.com/index.php.

Is there a way to rename the master file name?
Currently, the only way to do this is:
1. Import the files into a folder first and rename the files. Then
2. Import the rename files into Aperture.
or
3. Delete files from aperture but do not empty
4. Recover these files from the trash. Rename them.
5. Import them back into Aperture.
This is a pain in the * process.
Any other ideas?Is there a way to rename the master file name?

One of my favorite OS X tools is "A Better Finder Rename" - (http://www.publicspace.net/ABetterFinderRename/index.html). I used to have my own Applescript to rename, but this ran circles around mine.
Before Aperture, I'd import to a folder, do a simple culling (via Bridge), then rename everything to my conventions (D05_01322.DCR, etc).
If you want to import directly from a card reader WITH renamed images, you can try this utility as another method. Yesterday I used it to do a simple experiment to allow a Master file to be renamed BEFORE importing into Aperture:
1. Be sure to open your preferences and set the "When camera is connected, open:" to "No application".
2. Mount your card reader with card you want imported.
3. Select the files you want renamed, then open "A Better Finder Rename" and select to Change "only the file name".
4. Inside Aperture, import the renamed Master images with your personalized names.
