Hi Amar,
You should be able to use the most current version of TRex 7.1.  See the central note 1003900 for more information.  To get to the installation documents, follow this path.
https://service.sap.com/instguides --> Installation and Upgrade Guides --> SAP NetWeaver --> SAp NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) --> Installation --> 3 - Installation - Standalone Engines --> SAP NetWeaver Search and Classification TREX.
Hope this helps.

  • PLEASE: Distilled HFM Prerequisites and Installation Guide

    Hello All,
I know this may sound somewhat lazy, but it is often appreciated in a consulting atmosphere like mine, where I need to install, test, evaluate, write a summary and make a quick recommendation on all options for doing the same thing. i.e other softwares/packages.
Having said all the above, does anyone have like an implementation/installation guide I could borrow, detailing the minimum
    1. hardware
    2. software and
    3. modular (i.e which ones are necessary or important e.g planning, essbase etc)
    requirements for implementing HFM ?
I would still have to carry out all such steps and benchmark the performance....so all assistance will be appreciated.
P.S. If you look at my other contribuions, you would notice I am not lazy....and make such contributions too..*
    Thanks in Advance
    Olu

    =====================WHAT IS YOUR POINT?===================================
    KellyGreen2,
It's a bit of a shame that you did not take some time to check the thread before posting your comment and tacitly suggesting I don't help or this is a lazy way out. If you spent some time on page 1 of the thread you copied from, you will realise that perhaps I need to be spared such a smear, if you can't offer any help.
You cut and pasted a subset on a page (14) of my thread which is not a fair representation of my efforts and quite honestly cynical.
I took time to write and threaded an elaborate and detailed document/instructions on "How to install Oracle Applications 11i on Windows 2003" Link:[Page 1|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=426271&start=0&tstart=0].
After that amount of work done, then we have people asking for another copy to be mailed to their private email boxes, some even wanted screen shots (in colour!)
When all a person needed to do was copy and paste a set of instructions for their use, but would rather you do that for them as well, should the question ( How lazy can you get ?) not arise ?
PS: Please don't propagate the errors of the lazy ones (sic). This is a network forum.

  • Mac Mini OSX Server Version and installation

I am very interested in the New Mac Mini with OSX server configuration.
But I would like to know what is the difference between the "Retail" OSX server version and the "Bundled" OSX server version which came with the Mac Mini ?
Can the "Bundled" server version be installed on another intel-based Mac ( in case of hardware failure in the Mac Mini ) ?

The difference is that this is server software, it is not the Mac OS X client software for day-to-day use on a Pro or Consumer Mac.
The bundled software according to the Mac mini Server specs page is on an Install/Restore DVD. These are usually machine specific so it will not be usable by directly placing it in the ODD of another Mac, it should spit the disc out as unusable. But there are ways to connect the Macs and install the software to another Mac. However, the End User Agreement licenses the software for installation on only one Mac at a time.

  • Elements 7 ACR Version and crop guides

    Two questions:
First, what is the latest version of ACR that I can use with Elements 7?
Second, Elements 7 has no crop guides such as rule of thirds, golden section etc. Is there a way of creating these a different way?

I am not sure you are looking for technical crop guides like those:
    https://www.google.fr/search?q=photoshop+elements+crop+guides&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=o rg.mozilla:fr:official&client=firefox-a
I imagine you rather want guides to compose and choose your final cropping.
    - For cropping, you could use the 'aspect ratio' in the crop tool or rectangular marquee tool and specify heigth and width.
    - To get visual guides on a separate layer, you could draw your own templates, or probably use third party add-ons. I'll get back if I find some of them.
    Edit:
    In Elements+  : http://simplephotoshop.com/elementsplus/en_US/guides.htm
You can also have a look at Graffi or Grant's tools :

  • GRC: Landscape and Installation

    Dear All,
My Company want to implement SAP GRC Access Control, in many of source i've found that SAP GRC is divided into 3 sequences:
    1. Get Clean
    2. Stay in Clean
    3. Stay in Control
    My Question is:
    1. What is the software files to implement each of them sequences?
Actually i've read the master guide and installation guide from market place for this installation but still confused about this landscape of this installation, Please help me to install fresh SAP GRC 5.3 all above sequences? any other references?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello
You are right, that the SAP GRC Access controls implementation is generally shown in three stages.
    1.Get clean
    2.Stay clean
    3.Stay-in-control
We have four products / modules in SAP GRC Access controls :
    1. Risk Analysis and Remediation (RAR)
    2. Enterprise Role Management (ERM)
    3.Compliant User Provisioning(CUP)
    4.Superuser Privilege Management (SPM)
GET-CLEAN : The access and authorization management starts with installation and configuration of RAR. RAR helps to identify all the existing SOD (segregation of duty) violations in the backend ERP systems. Once the SOD violations are identified, these will be addressed either by removing the risks from the system or introducing mitigation controls for the risks.
STAY-CLEAN : We have three products here to install and configure in this stage, i.e ERM, CUP and SPM.
ERM : It helps in preventing further introduction of SOD violations in to the system, by making the risk analysis of roles at the point of creation itself.
CUP : Ensures the user management (assignment of roles ) is free of SOD violations
SPM : Ensures the actions of superusers free of SOD violations by tracking and controlling their activities effectively
RAR, ERM, CUP and SPM have many more benefits which will be helpful in effective access and authorization management and I mentioned only the relevant points here.
Further, all these four  products are independant of each other and the sequence of configuration depends on the client's requirement. However, the integration of these products helps to reap the complete benefits of access control suite.
The general sequence of configuration would be:
    RAR -> SPM -> CUP -> ERM
The  Master, security, configuration guides of these products can be found @ http://help.sap.com/  businessobjects/accesscontrols and  the best practices @ SDN
STAY-IN-CONTORL : Involves continuous review of existing access and cuthorization managment to ensure that the ERPs are free of SOD violations.

  • NW2004s installation guide / prerequiste list

    Dear all,
3 month ago I succesfully installed the NW 2004s preview for ABAP, but now when I try again it fails every time... So could you help me in what step and prerequiste I should go trough before installing. Here is my own list:
    1) Use Windows XP SP1
    2) Use J2SDK 1.4.2_08
    3) Set the CLASSPATH and JAVAHOME variables
4)any local policies need to be set?
    5) Use 15.000 MB for the MaxDB datasize (else the WAS will timeout when running the SGEN transaction af installing)
What else do I need on the list?
In my case it stops every time in step/phase 11 (database installation).
Please add your knowlegde to the list - thanks and best regards
    Lars

    Hi Lars,
All the guides related to Netweaver 04s can be found at
    http://service.sap.com/instguides -> Netweaver 04s ->
Installation -> Planning and Installation guides.
Going through them may give you a better idea of the
    prerequisites.
Also as suggested by Arun, the logs are written
in ..\program files\sapinst_dir\.... Sapinst.log and sapinst_dev.log may give the error in detail.

You cannot. From a legal standpoint, the license agreement for OS X mandates that you run OS X only on Apple hardware. HP is not (yet) owned by Apple.
From a technical standpoint, your HP laptop doesn't use EFI, but rather an early predecessor called a BIOS. Apple is the only vendor of consumer computer hardware that uses EFI; other vendors reserve EFI for use in servers.
Secondly, Apple's operating systems support a rather limited number of configurations of video hardware and mainboard chipsets directly since they need only support those systems that they manufacture. You cannot use Windows software or drivers on OS X, so prior to installation, you would need to write your own hardware drivers for your laptop, create an OS X drive image on a Mac, and then modify that image with your drivers before putting it in the HP.
It will be simpler (and legal), to simply purchase a used Mac. Apple's online store has refurbished MacBook Airs starting at $850 and Mac Minis for $700. If you go to e-bay or craigslist, you'll find used Macs for considerably less.

  • TREX 7.0 & 7.1 SAP INSTALLATION GUIDE

    Hello Techies,
Can any one  Please Send me Trex 7.0 & 7.1 Sap Installation Guides. i dont have SMP accsess
Please send me with in a Hour if possible.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pavan

    Hi
From service marketplace try downloading the TREX connectivity document for CRM and TREX 6.0 the steps are more or less the same for connectivty between CRM and TREX you need to  install TREX  in separate box followed by creating the RFC destination between crm and TREX at a time trex can be connected to one RFC destination only example CRM DEV with TREX or CRM QTY with TREX you cannot use TREX with QTY and DEV  at the same time .
you also need to do the customiseing settings for enterprise intelligence in CRM5.0 spro settings and use crmc_saftool transaction code for the further settings you can also use TREXADMIN transaction code for the TREX http server queue server and index server logs to check after establishing the connectivity for useing TREX for CRM ABAP stack is required for TREX for EP you need to use java stack for connectivity  between the systems
please do reward the points if helpful
