Trial downloading issues

The download assistant for Illustrator free trial is not working, I have tried many times to download the file and already tried running as administrator and saving the file in different areas on the computer - still no luck! I tried then to download the creative cloud but that option is no longer loading on the page. Any ideas?

Visio trial download is now available as a exe download for simple installation experience. After download, just double click to install.
Follow the following steps to download the trial version:
Visit
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/visio/
Choose Try Now.
Ensure the details filled up in the form are correct. Now Click Continue.
On the screen your trial key will be displayed along with an option to print it. Select print it and save it for future reference.
Now choose the language of your download and you are good to go.

Trial Download Issue

I downloaded a 30 day trial of Photoshop 11 Elements, but now I can't figure out out to get the program to start. Photoshop isn't showing up when I look under "All Programs" on my computer, and there's not icon on the desktop. When I do a search for it by typing in the name, up pops about 30 different files, and in clicking on them randomly, I still haven't found what to click on to actually get the program to run. Strange. Can anyone tell me how to get the program to actually run?

Run the setup.exe. You haven't installed it yet.

Free trial download issues

I am trying to download Adobe XI Pro (free trial) however each time I have tried an error message appears " This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance."

check the file size to see if you have an imcomplete download.
if incomplete, use a wired connection and consider a download manager.
if complete, use a different browser.

CS5 Trial Download Issue

I receive the following error/warning from my Anti-Virus when attempting to download the Adobe CS5 trial:
Gateway Anti-Virus Alert
This request is blocked by the SonicWALL Gateway Anti-Virus Service. Name: ArchSMS.FI (Trojan)

I just did the download of Photoshop CS5.1 on a test setup and found no problems using Avast Pro antivirus. It's either a false positive by your system, or malware so new it's not recognized by others yet. As Adobe is quite careful, I'd say it's likely the former situation.
It would be a good idea to report it to SonicWALL. They would be able to confirm whether it's a false positive.

I downloaded a trial of the cs6 master collection and it told me I had 30 days remaining di i want to continue trial. I pressed continue trial and it suddenly flashed up 0 days remaining and I can't use the products.

I remembered we have weird permission issues at work. Somewhere between my Home Windows 8 machine(horrible permissions issues with network), my home mac, email and my work computer, some permission got out of whack. The workaround for this was copying the file to my desktop, back to the exact same spot on the network. This resolved all issues.

Trial download of Elements 9

I was trying to get the trial download of Elements 9. It downloads fine and I am able to begin the installation, but then I get a message that there was an "error opening client" and the installation fails and I get a message to contact the software maker. It would appear that, according to the Adobe website, they don't have weekend phone hours for software support. Any ideas? I'm running Mac OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) and still have several GB of memory available, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Appreciate any thoughts!

I have a fast connection but it still took me over 30 minutes to complete the downloads from Adobes busy servers. The Akamai Download Manager allows you to pause and re-start download whenever you need.
N.B. It won’t work with some browsers such as Google Chrome. It’s recommended you use Internet Explorer 7 or 8; or Firefox 2 or 3 on Windows.
On Mac OS X 10.5 - 10.6 use Firefox 2 or 3; or Safari 5.

Are the 3.2 Trial Download and Install DVD the same?

Trying to determine if I should install from disk after I receive a valid key from Adobe. Is there any material on disk that is not in the Trial download? If so is there a way to add that without re-installing? If not, is there a downside to re-installing?

The version on the DVD will be 3.0. It is not a good idea to install a older version of software over a more recent version. At the best you will then have to re download 3.2 to update and at the worst (and it happened often with LR 2.0 installs) installing a older version of LR over a more recent version can cause problems (see posts passim on this). Adobe issued specific advice in the case of LR 2 against using the disk.
Install the downloaded version either 3.2 or the 3.3 RC and use the serial number that comes with the disk. The disk is pretty pointless for LR, it contains no "extras" and you are much better off with the downloaded version always.

Licensing/Downloading issues with CS5.5?

Anyone else purchase CS5.5 recently to get the free upgrade to CS6 and run into a bunch of issues? I purchased Production Premium yesterday (5/3/12), and aside from an initial confirmation email, I've gotten zip since. None of the programs were showing up on the licensing site (which is now down for "scheduled" maintenance) meaning no chance to download what I bought or get serial numbers, no email with my order number, no history of my order or transaction in my account info, online chat support stating that it's a 72-hour wait to get your downloads/serial numbers instead of the "up to 24 hour" time frame specified by the email, getting transfered from one department to another only to have the call dropped, a 2-hour hold for the licensing support line and no reps available for chat...
And of course the weekend is upon us so I'll likely have to wait until next week to (hopefully) access the software I purchased. Kind of ridiculous. Buy an online product somewhere else and you get download access as soon as you make the payment. Spend $2000 on Adobe products and get no the runaround about what's going on with the order, why the delay, shoddy support/web services, etc.
Ugh. Am I the only one? Has annyone else made a purchase in the last couple of days without a hitch, namely a Creative Suite product in anticipation of the free upgrade to CS6 when it's released?
Do other users find this type of experience typical for Adobe purchases/support, or is it usually a hassle-free and straightforward process? The software itself is going to be fantastic, no doubt, but the ordering process and customer support thus far has been absolutely dreadful.

Things are always busy and response times prolonged around the time of a major new release at Adobe. As you saw, CS6 was released then so there was quite a bit of preparation and cutover going on and increased traffic... But you should almost always be able to access the free trial downloads to get started with your product right away (no interruption and they're good for 30 days), until the permanent serial numbers arrive.

Question on Adobe X trial download

I followed the steps to download a trial of Adobe X, but it does not interact in the tools menu for a document to trial the features of an edit.
Also what happened to my other Adobe programs...they are gone....does the trial overwrite them...if so not a good idea.
Should I just forget the trial as it appears many have problems with trial downloads.

The trial version of Acrobat 10 does not overwrite any other programs except the older version of Acrobat and that too after your permission.
During the installation it will prompt for removal of the older version or not.
If the 'Tools' in the menu bar is non functional, try reparing Acrobat by navigating to the 'Help' menu and check.
Also let me know if this issue is document specific or occurs with any pdf. Did you encounter any errors during installation?
Also let me know the OS version you are using.

Photoshop Elements 12 download issue

Files on the download site for Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 are not complete. The installation errors out. Should be 1.6GB but only 1.13 GB downloads. I have tried it several times

"Adobe Download Assistant" was automatically downloaded before the download of the trial version began. With the "Adobe Download Assistant" up and running, the download of the trial version took within 30 minutes. I then got to enter the serial code of my already purchased PSE 12 right after installation of the trial version and completed the whole set-up process (without even opening or using the trial version at all).
It is rather counter-intuitive that one should start with a trial download even when he has gone straight into buying the product. It was as if the trial version was a bridge to facilitate the official download because the trial version provided the "Adobe Download Assistant". Maybe, it is expected that people would always take a trial before buying? Or maybe, it is expected that most people would already have the "Adobe Download Assistant" handy?
Anyway, I am glad there is a solution. In this case, I think the key is to get the "Adobe Download Assistant" which comes with the trial version. Hope this post will help others who might face the same issue too.
