Trial Flash CS4

I have worked with CS3. The day befor yesterday I downloaded
Flash CS4 Trial version. As Adobe promises it had to work for 30
days, but did only for one. Is it a new kind of marketing?? Does
every body else the same problem??

What in the World? Is there anyway to get FLaSH CS4 trial
version to install? OK. I have Service Pack 3, it keeps telling me
to disable my Firewall, (which I have done over and over, after
re-booting...) I even tried to install after checking off
everything in the msconfig in the Run it won't do anything
different... Also, I still haven't seen hide nor hair of any
'FLEXnet' file or app ANYWHERE. Honestly, what is with this crazy
'install' routine Adobe? Help! I really want to be working with
this new prog!!! Please do away with this insane install thing
please... (ASAP) ...thanks.
UPDATE: Ok, now i've gotten to the next problem: the Install
stops at 8% (Dynamiclink Support) no matter what... I was able to
install the CS4 of Photoshop though. I'm going to try removing my
licensed copy of Flash MX2004 in case it is interfering with the
CS4 Flash install... Other options may be try installing the
Premiere so that it can get the Dynamiclink Support installed ...?
maybe CleanScript...? no way to find the simple solution on any
support pages or forums though? hmm...
SOLVED:
I managed to put off some bills and purchased the upgrade
from MX2004 and the install worked fine... go figure! (This also
allowed for the phone tech support assistance i apparently needed
too. I got a nice person after a 15 minute wait.) The purchased
upgrade download worked as far as the install went: good; but: I
went click on the FLaSH icon to open the program after a reboot and
it said "the Licensing is no durn good no more." So I said,hmmm...
Here's what was likely a problem: the FLEXnet folder (had to
do an Explorer search to locate these) had been duplicated from a
previous install attempt a few days earlier and the duplicate AS
WELL AS the 'non-duplicate' had a 'read only' status that need to
be un-checked and permissions had to be set on the FLEXnet folder
for Admin, etc. That was pretty much the culprit. Hope this may
help someone. This tech file was a help: kb405970

  • In need of Flash CS4 trial again

Hello i had downloaded flash cs4 on a laptop, due to my desktop being messed up, now my desktop is fixed, and i would like to download the flash cs4 trial on desktop now,but the only problem is i do not see CS4 trials on site anymore, is there anyways to still access the flash CS4 links to still get trial version, or will i have to wait for CS5 trial to come out now:( thanks in advance to all who respond:)

    OP was looking for CS4."
I know. The site had all trials down for a bit, and traditionally the site only has trials for the current version, which is CS5. Which were just added to the site, hence the link. Nowadays the only safe place to find a CS4 trial would be from an old trial disk, and some book CD-ROMs will have a trial on them that  you could get from a library.
Regarding where the link was from. The link I added was one that came from the Adobe.com folks - the product page link wasn't working, so they gave us those which would take you directly to the store area of the site to get the trial.

  • Flash CS4 Trial Version Crash

I've been using Flash CS3 pro. It crashes when importing images to library. Ran all updates -still crahses
So I downloaded Flash CS4 trial ran all the updates. It ran fine for a few hours... then crashed.
Now Trial version also crashes also when importing images to library.
Error window says: windows - no disk exception processing message c000013 parameters .......
progam then stops responsing....I have a ticket in at support but no answer in almost 3 days now.
    Running Windows XP
Please advise - I have a flash file that needs updating.

It's been my experience that with computers that only barely meet the system requirements across the board for Flash or many other Adobe products tend to crash those products even when performing the most seemingly mundane tasks. If installing more RAM is not an option, try keeping all other programs/windows closed while working in Flash. (http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/systemreqs/)
One little trick that I have found to be usefull on slower machines is to not Import to Library, but rather Import to Stage. Importing to the library also adds the step of creating a graphic symbol (CS3) or a movie clip (CS4), whereas Importing to the stage does not.
Also, are you pulling the images off of an external device like a USB drive or an external hard drive? This could be another - and probably the real -  reason you are experiencing the error. Try putting the images on your HD, then importing.
You may still want to get some more RAM to handle Flash CS4.

  • Flash CS4 trial installation

Hope i  am in the right place for this query.
I am trying to download a trial version of Flash onto my laptop. Windows XP, service pack 3, 1.66 GHz, 2.00 GB Ram.
I downloaded the trial but wrongly asked it to open rather than save, so it saved onto my desktop, but would not then open, it was taking me round in circles between 'the download is complete', then 'install now' it then goes through the extraction procedure but brings me back to install now and wants to extract it again. It appeared to be extracting to the Adobe folder. (I have Photoshop etc)
When I tried to download it again it indicated it was already downloaded. So I removed all Flash CS4 files that I could find (on the basis that if it was not installed this should be safe enough) but it is still indicating that it is downloaded and I cannot go back to the 'do you want to open/save this file'.
I am sure I have made all sorts of mistakes with all this but if anyone can offer any ideas I would be grateful. Thanks.

if you really started the installation and it installed halfway through or similar, run the cleanup script which can be found here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/406/kb406241.html and reinstall CS4 again, this time download it with a different browser if possible.

  • Flash cs4 trial uninstall - wont uninstall

When I looked at the forum list - i saw no option or forum for installation issues - adobe search results were worse than google's - so i'm posting here in hopes of a human response....
Adobe support has not responsed for the last five days - so i guess i'm on my own...
I installed the Flash CS4 trial - when it expired - I purchased CS4 Premium and installed it - NOW, Flash will not launch, gives an error message stating the licenase has expried.  The twenty two hundred license I just purchased and used for the install - is expired!?!?!?!
So I uninstalled CS4 Premium - checked my registery - and re-installed.......givies me the exact same results - licensed expired.....
Did some research - found Adobe had created a special tool - just for the uninstallation or removal of their CS4 trial software - so, I download and run the CS4 clean up script.... Rebooted, checked the registry and re-installed yet again..............Same results - licensed expired.....
    So now -
I installed purchased copy of CS4 Premium - it does not work
I ran the uninstall - rebooted
I ran the Microsoft clean up - rebooted
I ran the CS4 Clean up - rebooted
    Checked the registry - rebooted
tried to run the CS4 installation again - except this time - the setup no longer runs - setup gets to 85%-ish and shuts down - throwing out a message stating that Setup cannot run. Contact Support.
Contact Adobe Support? - are you serious? they have not responded in five days...after spending over two thousand dollars and i'm unable to run the software...think I'll just request a refund instead.....
Before I totally give up on CS4 - I thought I'd try the forums and see if anyone is generous and kind enough to offer some direction.....
I would greatly appreciate some assistance, Please.
I'm running windows vista 64 with triple core processor (Vista, I know....that's my first mistake)
I've ran the microsoft and CS removal scripts, rebooted
    and now
the program went from not running due to expired license to the setup not running at all
Any suggestions - other than dropping the box off a cliff???
Thank you for your time and attention

I installed and then uninstalled (without dragging to the trash) a trial of Photoshop CS3. Now none of my CS2 programs work. The message says "a serious error has been detected, to continue using CS2 please reinstall the application." I got the same "we no longer provide support for this product, please consider spending another $600 to upgrade to CS4" message from Adobe. Attempts to reinstall have not been successful. Now what?

  • Flash CS4 Trial won't install

    Hi There!
I've been trying to install Flash CS4 Trial since its release
but always get the same error message.
The package is uncompressed and install process begins, goes
to 100% and then a message box comes on asking to check disk space
(I've got plenty) and permissions and privileges (I'm using the the
admin account). Firewalls down, no good.
Tried on 3 different machines with plenty of disk space,

I have also downloaded the same file 3 or 4 times. No good.

  • Flash CS4 Trial Failed

After downloading and installing Flash Pro CS4 I got to use
it only a couple days for a couple hours each day. Now the trial
software won't open. I get a box telling me options of trial or
register. I click the trial option and the next box states "Problem
with the trial." The software wants me to buy and register even
though I have gotten no trial period other than a few hours. Is
this normal. Is there any solution to regain my trial period or is
the the typical Adobe tactic of their trial softwares?
Also, the Adobe site won't allow me to download any other
trial softwares such as Dreamweaver. I am new to Adobe site and
have never tried any of their software before.
There is no support for anyone other than paid customers so
if you know something, I'd appreciate any assistance.

  • Flash CS4 Trial not producing SWF with ActionScript

After installing Flash CS4 (the trial), it has appeared that
when compiling saved FLAs no longer produce SWFs with AS3 code.
AS1/2 works fine, and compiling a Untitled-1 document works fine,
it is just saved AS3 FLAs. Even FLAs saved with Flash CS3 that work
in that product no longer work in Flash CS4.

if you really started the installation and it installed halfway through or similar, run the cleanup script which can be found here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/406/kb406241.html and reinstall CS4 again, this time download it with a different browser if possible.

  • Flash CS4 Trial - Virus Reported by Kaspersky

    Hi there,
I just installed Flash CS4 to try it out before upgrading. My
software apparently found a Trojan virus,
    (Trojan.Win32.Inject.otb), in it (in the
    MOG_Framework_r.2.0.7.92.dll file). I re-downloaded the trial using
a different browser on a different OS and using direct url to
download instead of the download manager (
    http://trials.adobe.com/Applications/FlashPro/CS4/Win/ADBEFLPRCS4Win_LS1.7z)...
    but same results.
    Is this really a virus?

Recently I had issue with Flash CS4 crashing repeatedly. Also
the application would have trouble using the text tool to create
TextFields it would not update the properties panel (Ctrl+F3) when
switching between field types (dynamic, static and input). Also the
properties panel would not update when selecting other items in the
FLA file and just remain as the TextField details.
A co-worker found that the issue was with the fonts on our
systems. It appears some where corrupt and this was wreaking havoc
with Flash CS4. We tried turning off the preview but that did not
work. What did work was removing the corrupt fonts on our systems.
First we had to find out which fonts were corrupt which can
be done with FontAgentPro from Insider Software
(www.insidersoftware.com). (Compatible with Mac OSX, XP and Vista)
We installed the trial and tried to run an import which told
us which fonts were corrupt. Once we knew which fonts were corrupt
we just deleted/removed them from our Font folder. Note
FontAgentPro crashed when we deleted/removed the fonts with it
open; so we had to make a list of the fonts and close FontAgentPro.
Once the bad fonts were gone we were able to open and run
Flash CS4 without it crashing or the properties panel from hanging
    or becoming unresponsive.
We hope this helps other who are experiencing similar issues.
    Note:
On fresh Vista install Calibri, Cambria and Constantia fonts
were all seen as corrupt. Not sure if this happened due to font
installs we made, vista install bad (which runs very stable) or if
Vista fonts are a different creature than previous window OT and
    TTF fonts.

  • Adobe Flash CS4 installation error

    Hello,
I just downloaded trial version of Adobe Flash CS4 (Englisth|Windows) but after unpacking the archive and starting setup.exe I am getting error msg (see att). Are there any error logs with more information??
Text is in czech language so here's translation:
    -----------First window-----------
Adobe Flash CS4 - Installation Error
    Installation Error
An error occured while installing. Ask for help at Adobe support.
    -----------Second windows-----------
Installer of Adobe Flash CS4 application: inicialization
    Checking system profile.
Is md5 hash available for integrity check of installation package?
    System info:
    Intel C2D 2,2Ghz
    3GB RAM
    about 160GB free HDD space
    Windows Vista Ult. 64b
    Thanks for any help!

There is no fix. Flash Pro is not compatible with Win 8 even in CS6. There are dependencies with Flash Player components and the way it's handled in Win 8 prevents it from working liek the app expects.

  • Unable to export from Captivate 4 to Flash CS4

    Hello everyone!
I am attempting to export a captivate project over to flash CS4.  However when it goes from captivate over to flash the result is basically a slide show. It does not show any of the animations that are present in Captivate. I also keep recieving an error message.
I have searched for how to solve this problem for quite a while now and so far have come up with nothing.
This is the error message that flash gives me:
The following elements in your project have not been converted. They are not supported by this importer.
    508 Compliance
A swf animation slide has been imported. The following files must be made available at publish time:
    Project01_slide_22_0.swf
    DefaultPreloader.swf
Please make sure you publish the project to “C:\Documents and Settings\jmillard\Desktop.” Saving the project to this directory will ensure that test project will work with the swf animation slides.
Unfortunately I am on a tight schedule to get this project done and the Captivate 4 and Flash CS4 I am using are both 30 day trials, so I am in quite a hurry.
If you could please help me I'd greately appreciate it!

When you click on <Send Book to Blurb> a dialog should come up that asks for your ID and password for your Blurb account. I don't know if Blurb ships to Norway - you probably can find out at the Blurb website. But I don't think that this is the problem here since you also cannot export a PDF or JPGs.
I don't know of any specifics why this is not possible for you but it's worth trying to replace the Preference File.
This file can go "funny" and is then responsible for all kinds of strange behavior of Lr. The remedy is replacing the Preference File.
BTW: Re-installing Lr or updating / upgrading Lr does not replace the Preference File since it is designed to "survive" upgrades.
See here for where to find the Preference file for your OS: http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/preference-file-locations-lightroo m-4.html

  • *Flash CS4*  I need help...

OK, so...I tried to download a trial of Flash CS4 on my parent's laptop.  I got as far as saving the AkamaiDownloadManagerInstaller to the computer's desktop, but when I click on the link (or whatever) it says "a program needs your permission to continue."  I clicked "Continue," and it shows a loading bar for just a split second, but then goes away.  Uh...I don't know much about computers, so please try to use *small words* when telling me what to do.  My parents have a Toshiba Windows 7 (I think) Laptop.
    Thanks for your help
    Mr. Snickers

i recently downloaded trails of flash cs4 and web premium package cs4 (took a day to download at high speed starbuck's internet). couldnt get the setup.exe to work or the uninstaller to work. surfing tech support over next couple weeks to try various agents was useless and expensive until i finally reached someone with useful info. all the agents had foriegn accents and read from scripts and web support pages until yesterday, when i reached a guy who told me two things i'll report to various forums addressing this same issue:
    1. download windows uninstaller program from their website (google: windows ininstaller). this program is different from the one that doesnt work in the programs and features area of control panel when you try to uninstall adobe products from there.
    2. windows explorer 8, the newest version, DOES NOT download adobe softare properly and leaves things out, causing all sorts of issues including the setup.exe program not working. download firefox browser from mozella (google: firefox) and use it for all adobe downloads. apparently the old windows explorer 7 will work, but if you already have explorer 8 installed its easiest to just use firefox.
i'm spending the next couple days downloading the 4.14 G web premium trail with firefox and will report if this works.

  • Unable to export swf movie in adobe flash cs4

First I edited my flash project in flash 8
after that  I insatlled trial version of adobe flash cs4
now in my project there are 650 layers
    till then it was ok
but now now it is giving me trouble with this error
"The Export Frame for Classes specified in the Publish or Export settings, frame 1, does not exist. No bytecode for ActionScript 2.0 classes or interfaces was exported."
I am about to complete my project atlast I ended with an error
    Any one plzzz help me...................................
I am unable to test the movie also

Hi Mia - yes, definitely start using your external HD! To use it you must connect it to your computer of course. It should have come with the appropriate cable, probably a USB connection. The main issue will be how it is formatted. Many hard drives when they are bought, are formatted for Windows PC machines rather than for Apple MacIntosh computers. If so this would need to be changed, and in the process that would erase anything already stored on it.
So, firstly connect your external drive to the computer, and turn it on. You should then see a small icon representing that drive appear on your computer's desktop. Control/Click on that and choose the 'Get Info' option from the list of options that appears. The resulting small window will tell you what the format of the drive is. If it is not 'Mac OS Extended', then it probably has to be re-formatted.
We won't go into how this is done until you tell us it is going to be necessary.
Assuming all is well with the formatting, you can just drag the photo folders over the icon of the external drive. This will copy them over to that drive. Double-click the icon to open a window showing that this has happened. You can then trash the originals on your computer, freeing up more space.
Get back to us if you need more help.
