Trial FrameMaker 8 Throws Error - Will Not Install Without SN
So I downloaded and installed the Framemaker 8 Trial version today. I installed it and when I went io run it, it asked if I had a Key or wanted the Trial. I wanted the 30-day Trial so I selected that. Then it tells me there was a problem with the Trial and that I need to enter a Serial Number to continue. This is my first time with a Trial of Framemaker 8. The software then recommended I uninstall and reinstall. So I downloaded a fresh copy (just t o be safe), uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled. Same problem. Argh! Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, what's the solution? (Sorry if this has been posted a bajillion times before... I'm just at my wits end here...)

Another update... here are just a few links to the exact same problem being reported all over the Adobe User Forums, with no solution. They also appear to happen to all Adobe applications. This is very strange and should seriously be looked into. Why have a trial if it only works for SOME people?

Need to know your Mac model. If it's a PowerPC, the max OS is Leopard 10.5.x. If it's an Intel procesor, you can upgrade to Snow Leopard (for $29) & later to Lion.

Mavericks: S.M.A.R.T Error will not install
I cannot install Mavericks on my iMac.
The install program says there is a S.M.A.R.T error on the disk.
Disk Utilities says the disk is fine and reports:
Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”
Checking file systemPerforming live verification.
Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume.
Checking extents overflow file.
Checking catalog file.
Checking extended attributes file.
Checking volume bitmap.
Checking volume information.
The volume Macintosh HD appears to be OK.
Onyx says there is a problem with the disk and reports:
SMART status not verified.
An error was detected while checking the SMART status of this hard disk.
So does two out of three mean the disk is failing?
I have experienced no problems with the disk (i.e., speed, file corruption, crashes).
The disk is partitioned for OSX, Windows7 and Linux and has been for months.
Any suggestions?

Back up your data immediately. You need a new HD. Bring your machine in for servicing. Best of luck. -

I have reinstalled apple itunes 5 times yesterday and nothing. It will not install without saying MSVCR80.dll is missing. Error7 (windows126) I ran a check and my computer has no missing or corrupt flies.

Under Windows 7 you will want to use the Programs and Features Control Panel to remove your installation. I would recommend verifying that Photoshop Lightroom is removed from the list of installed applications. -

Are you receiving any particular error messages? What trial are you trying to install? Which operating system are you using?

After upgrading to 3.6.8 none of the extensions load even though there are updates available. The updates will not install and even though the error states to look at the console error log there are no errors listed in the log. All extensions are listed in Addons>Extensions.

iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, all have no issues at all with my Airport Extreme Base Station. Can stay connected throughout my living room, bathroom, bedroom, no issues whatsoever.
My 5 month old MacBook Pro 2.66 GHz Core i7 Airport is sometimes perfect, able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue. Then, for no reason, I won't be able to join my wireless network, or when I can join, I can't pick up an IP address. And then it will connect, pick up and IP, and then it won't browse. No real rhyme or reason to when this will happen, or when it works.
I thought that it was an issue with my MacBook Pro, but then my sister visited with her brand new MacBook Pro 2.26 Intel Core 2 Duo, and while a month ago she was able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue, this weekend she had all of the same issues I was having.
My XBOX 360 and MacBook Pro have absolutely no issues with the wired connection. Only my WAN seems to have this issue.

I am having a issue installing Adobe Acrobat XI. I am running Windows 8.1. When go to install it gets an error. The error is with transform in registry and will not install product. I am looking at how I can fix this registry problem.

I have re-installed JSDK1.4.2_03, set the "path" variable to "C:\JSDK1.4.2_03".
When I compile using "javac" I get an error saying "javac" is not recognised.
When I compile using "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin\javac Freq.java" no error is thrown.
Every time I try to run a java file, I always get the NoClassDefFound error. When run with the -verbose option, files are loaded from C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin - is this correct?
I have removed all previous references to java in the registry editor.

I tried to reinstall iTunes 10.5 on an older PC using Windows XP. iTunes will not install. Tthis is the full error message. Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\classes\CLSID\{063D34A4-BF84-488D-B699-E8CA04DDE}

After the update to Android 5.0.1 on my Galaxy Note 4, my Galaxy Gear S will not install apps, I get an error message that says "Installation Failed. Try Later. (WO:WO:-1002). I am glad it was a free app I was trying to install (I tried a couple of different ones to see if it was just a bad app and they all failed on the install. The Note 4 and the Gear S seem to be communicating okay via bluetooth (health stuff syncs, Gear S controls the music player on the note 4 Etc. )
Everything that I had installed previously on the gear S still works.
Everthing while in the gear manager seems to be working okay also. I can make changes in the Gear manager on the note 4 and they show up on the gear S. I have an app called watch styler , it let me create a new watch on the Note 4 and that showed up on the Gear S.
The only thing that seems to be not working is installing new apps.
When trying to get a new app it looks like it is working as normal , the dowload shows it is working but it errors out when it goes to install it.

CS3 will not install on Windows 7, 64-bit. No error message. Just stops installing. This is a brand new machine. This is one of the first things I'm installing on it. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The disks are fine. I have the programs installed on my two XP machines. When I run the disk, I get the window pop up that says "Initializing Installation for Adobe Creative Suite 3". Then the disk stops spinning and nothing else happens. No error message. Nothing else happens. I'm baffled. I have searched several discussion boards and cannot find anybody that has had a similar install issue like this.
Old_Timer I would recommend reviewing your install logs to determine the exact error message. I Tunes will not install. I get this error message: There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Does anyone have an answer?
TRy the following user tip:

Itunes will not install. I get the error message "Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\com.apple.IE.client_main.dll Verify that you have access to that directory."
That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?
