Trial iWork and view thumbnails

The help menu says use the View menu and Show Thumbnails. I'm trying to use the trial version of Pages and there is NO view thumbnails in any menu.

thanks much,
version is 1.0.1 and sure enough, in current version which I used with a client yesterday, the thumbnails are right where help said they would be.

Is there a way to sort and view thumbnail view alphabetically

    What's your Elements version ?
If it's PSE11, you are out of luck. Only sorting by date is enabled.
In former versions, the 'folder view' instead of the standard 'thumbnail' view is in alphabetical order.

  • HT1349 I used the 30 day trial of IWork and want to purchase it.  But they are asking for my serial number.  I don't have one? I signed up on line, and don't have a box with a number.  What do I do?

I need help locating a serial number for the 30 day trial of IWork.  I would like to purchase it but can't get beyond that point.  If it was emailed to me I don't have it anymore.  How can I purchase the product?

    Peter,
Apple doesn't sell iWork that way anymore.
You have to get it from the Mac App Store if you want to purchase from Apple, or purchase a disk from a software retailler like Amazon. They're quite cheap online now.
If you do purchase an iWork '09 disk, you will need to trash the trial copy and any plist files it has generated before you install it.

you can change the page orientation by selecting the menu item "File > Print..." then adjust the orientation in "Page Orientation" section, then click "Done" (or "Print", if you want to print).

  • In Photoshop Elements 8-I want the file name to show when viewing Thumbnails and not just dates.

In Photoshop Elements 8 i want to see the file names under the pictures when viewing thumbnails not just the date. Is this possible?

Anyway, if it's the organizer look under the View menu to enable the data that is shown under the thumbnails.

  • Can I import and view from a camara

I was reading on the new that there are a few ways to import pictures from my Canon G5 camera. The two most common are the Belkin compact flash reader, or the apple iPod camera connector (I think it is called). the thing that plugs into the ipod and the camera plugs in through the USB plug. Is there anyway to import and view the pictures in the field from the Canon G5, or do I just import them as data and have to go through the computer later. This would be on a 5G iPod. Has anyone had success doing this in the field yet.

Am a new iPod owner myself, but as I understand it, you can view thumbnails or iPod screen size renderings of the photos loaded into the unit. Suspect the functionality will depend on why you need to look at them and the level of detail required for your field work.

  • Raw and TIFF Thumbnails Not Showing in Bridge CS4

    Hi,
I just bought Photoshop CS4 and installed.  I got an installation error and had to remove and reinstall CS4 (and ran the Mac Cleanup Utility in between).  Then, CS4 installed successfully.
Now, when I fire up Bridge CS4, I can preview JPG files, but not TIFF or RAW (*.NEF format from my D200) files.
Has this happened to anyone else and is there a fix I can apply?  I have installed known updates for CS4 and have purged the cache.
I have tried searching adobe and the online communities for this issue, but haven't been able to locate it.  The problem also applies to *.PSD documents.  I have also tried Tools>Cache>Purge Cach for Folder xxx and this doesn't fix things.
Thanks in advance for your advice!!!

                                    Ian,
    OK, I'm back already.
The bug was easily and instantly reproduced just as I wrote earlier:
With one of the lines under the thumbnails (thumbnail view in
Bridge) set to date created, and the other three to Date Modified,
Pixel Dimensions and Color Profile, respectively. I then invoked the
Global Purge cache command in Bridge CS4. Poof! The date created line
under each and every thumbnail is now blank. The space for the line is there, but it's totally empty,
    blank. >:(
    Invoking
Tools > Cache > Build and Export Cache > for all folders and subfolders restores the data in the blanked lines wiped out by the global Purge Cache command in Bridge preferences.
Thank goodness I had disconnected the FW drives.
I then went again and repeated the procedure one more time. The
Date Created line was again immediately left blank under all
    thumbnails.
    As far as I'm concerned,
the Global Purge cache command in Bridge Preferences in CS4 is broken
, just as it was in CS3 at least until someone tells me how to stop this from happening, reliably and consistently.

Bridge has finally rebuilt the cache for every darned file on my FW

Date Created line under each file that the global Purge Command in Bridge Preferences had wiped out.

  • I have blurry artwork in Album View thumbnails.  Deleting the cache makes all the artwork sharp, but once iTunes is restarted, the artwork goes back to being fuzzy unless i delete cache again.

I have blurry artwork in Album View thumbnails, but not in Grid View/Cover Flow.  Deleting the cache and forcing it to rebuild makes all the artwork sharp, but once iTunes is restarted, the artwork goes back to being fuzzy unless i delete cache again.

    Responding to your request here.
I can't say it's a problem I've noticed personally, though now you've made me look it does seem that the large thumbnail is slightly fuzzier than the same image in the artwork panel. I have the artwork panel as small as it goes (small screen) and it is still slightly larger than the image in the browser so that might be all there is to it.
Here's an example from my screen.
Perhaps iTunes is storing a thumbnail at say "medium" size which it then blows up to create the large image. Are you seeing a similar effect or is your "fuzzy" art much fuzzier? A screenshot would be helpful.

  • Cannot view thumbnail previews

I jus upgraded to Acrobat Pro but now I cannot view thumbnail previews of my PDF files in Windows Explorer.
How do I activate that back again?

This is ridiculous, as every other version of Photoshop has had it, and everyone is complaining.
It has been stated that this is an OS issue.
    http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/no_psd_image_preview_in_photoshop_on _open_dialog_box_in_windows?page=1
Have you taken the time to complain to your OS vendor yet?
Also: This is a user to user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully drop by.

  • How can you view/work on image in CC while still viewing thumbnails in Bridge?

Just switched to CC from CS5. Cannot open an image from Bridge into Photoshop while still viewing thumbnails in Bridge. Killing my workflow by having to reopen Bridge after processing every image in Photoshop. Using two monitors. Another huge frustration: I cannot get Photoshop to open image on secondary monitor. Any suggestions? About ready to cancel subscrition and go back to CS5. Thanks!

Get Info on the file and expand the little "Preview" space in the getInfo box

  • Have lossed PSE 12 and dont know my serial No: as i downloaded it it just shows a trial version and tiactiate it it asks for myserial No:

i have lost my PSE 12 Software when I try to start it it brings up a trial version and asks me to sign in and reactivate it but I download the software from Adobe and cannot find my serial number

    Hi,
If you go to https://forums.adobe.com/ you should see Manage your Accounts - click on that
Under Plans and Products, click on View All
Then click on View Other Products
That should show you your Photoshop Elements 12 and if you expand the entry it should display your serial number.
That assumes you registered you copy under that Adobe Id
Otherwise, you need to contact Adobe here http://helpx.adobe.com/uk/contact.html
You will probably need proof of purchase.
    Good luck

  • Viewing Thumbnails in 9.0

My wonderful IT person insisted that we all install Adobe Reader 9.0 on our computers. I had been using 8.0 prior. I can no longer view the thumbnails of my pdf's. They all simply show up as the Adobe pdf logo. I have adjusted the my computer to view thumbnails and all I get is the logo. Is there a way to remedy this? Almost all of my files are not titled correctly and the pictures of the documents is how I have been identifying them forever. Now I have to click on and open numerous files before finding the one I am looking for. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm having the same problem.  Reader 9.1, Windows XP Professional Ver 5.1 SP3

  • Viewing thumbnails instead of icons

I have CS4 Design Premium incl Photoshop CS4, and also Lightroom 2.6, both 64 bit. Operating system Win7 64 bit. Images taken in RAW format on a Nikon D90. I have downloaded the PS CS4 patch to open and work with Nikon RAW format and I can open the files (NEF Files) in both PS and LR. However I can only see the files as icons in my windows folders and pictures library and not thumbnails. JPEG's view OK as thumbnals. Can anyone help as my library of images is growing and without thumbnails I find it difficult to get to a particular file when I need to.

True although the OP is referring to NEF files.

  • How to view thumbnails in Windows XP ??

How do I view a page of ,psd thumbnails in Windows XP Pro ??   I'm using PSE 7.

If you mean viewing thumbnails in Windows Explorer, because Adobe refuses to do the right thing and supply the necessary file, you need to use a 3rd party application:
    SageThumbs is free:
    http://code.google.com/p/sagethumbs/
    FastPictureViewer is reasonably priced:
